I adored this warm and cosy apartment. The staff were lovely and everything was clean and well laid out. The ability to just nip out to catch a tram or return to eat together really enhanced our family break. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast and would not hesitate in recommending Saga Apartments to fellow travellers.

the apartments are not located in the hotel but a short distance away, apartments were lovely , clean had everything required for. self catering plus cleaning service if required. Situated in a lovely part of Oslo , transport excellent.

Nice apartment but very cramp. Tiny bathroom, tiny kitchen but everything works.

Nice but small apartment

We enjoyed our stay. It was nice to have laundry facilities. Bit problematic with only one washer for the whole building. The room was difficult to navigate with sofa bed unfolded. Very tight for a family of four. The linens were nice and was happy to have a Nespresso machine and small kitchen. Bathroom was very small. We were not in the main building. The neighborhood had nice dining options. We enjoyed Luca for pizza.

I’ve been staying at Saga apartments over many many years. It’s always been a very pleasant stay. Except this time. The apartment 4008. The heater was not working properly ( they provided an electric heater after calling them) the dishwasher was broken, and also the freezer door was broken. I couldn’t really use the kitchen because of the dishes.
I hope they will fix all the problems and won’t let anyone staying at an apartment without checking, making sure everything works properly.

Great place to stay for families

The room in the apartment was great, specially if you have kids. The room was clean and the kitchen had all the basic needs, even dishwasher! Free parking was a great bonus if you have a car. The area is also great, it is just 30 min walk to the center. The staff were also nice and the check-in and out were hassle less.

Beautiful apartment

Very nice and comfortable apartment. Kitchen was fully equipped and the bed very comfy. Location is in upmarket neighbourhood, very close to public transport and shopping.

If I need to be picky, the only down sides are you need to go to another location to pick up the key (Saga Hotel),not convenient if you have heavy luggage and snowy condition. Also, the bathroom is quite small.
I would give this apartment 9/10.

Hotel was relatively inexpensive for Oslo, located in a charming historical neighborhood, and was in very good condition. The apartments were located a couple blocks from the main hotel where the front desk was located, so check-in took a bit of time. They also had an arrangement with a local gym where I could work out without additional cost.

Had a great stay here. Spotlessly clean, friendly staff, good amenities. Just a few things to be aware of: 1. The building is very close to another building across the street, and the windows here have no sheer curtains. For privacy you’ll need to close the blackout curtains. 2. Check-in takes place at a building about 2 blocks away, but because these two blocks are on a somewhat steep hill, this arrangement may not be suitable for all people.

Overall the apartments are set up well and more spacious than you may believe based on the online photos available via the booking site. One thing to note in advance of arrival is that you will need to check in at the Saga Hotel which is approximately 200 meters away from the apartment building. Also, the parking lot for the apartments does not provide for assigned spots and is first come first served so it is possible that you will need to either pay for street parking or find a spot to park at the hotel (we left our car parked behind the hotel). The location is walking distance from pretty much anything you may want to see as a tourist in Oslo and nestled in a residential neighborhood so you are assured a quiet night as you sit on the balcony and relax after your day of sightseeing.

Check in at hotel was friendly ,easy and quick. Deposit to pay . Short walk to apartment.
Entrance to building and hall was warm and welcoming. Disappointed about being on the ground floor and balcony was looking on at car park level but the apartment was lovely , comfortable and warm. Some tea and nespresso pods were provided with dishwasher tablets too. The shower room had underfloor heating. Sometimes the shower changed temperature but it was pleasant enough. Soap provided and soft towels. The apartment was a short walk from Vigeland park and handy for Meny supermarket and transport.
Discovered on last evening that we had an adjoining room when the door was tried by people moving in next door. Slightly unnerving. I would return to saga apartments without problem as I would ask for a different floor and no adjoining door if possible.
The stay at SAGA APARTMENTS made my stay in Oslo very comfortable.

Handy apartment for overnight stay

I stayed in one of the Saga Hotel's apartments a few minutes' walk from the main hotel, having collected the key from the hotel's friendly receptionist. The apartment was clean and moderately comfortable, with some basic necessities for self catering, but lacking some, e.g. washing up liquid. The price for Norway (!) was reasonable. The location suited me fine, being quite close to the metro, shops etc, and suited me fine.

Very disappointed with this room

My 4th visit and the reception still asked if i'd been before. This time, they put me in the worst room of all the rooms!! Not happy. I was in 2007 - which i was told was 2nd floor but is actually the ground floor so everyone walking past can stare in. the balcony is pretty much on the grass, so not comfortable leaving the balcony door open. This is very small room and nothing like the previous ones. Connecting door to other guest room that i didn't ask for (you can hear the people in other room). One TV in the lounge (the TV over bed is missing because room too small to accommodate it). No shelves (lots of shelves in other rooms), no bedside tables (room too small), desk crammed against wall between bed (unusable), living area had NO LIGHT - this room was sub-standard and same price as all other rooms. Broken shower power control in this room too (see other review). These cheaper rooms should be cheaper and not sold on the same basis as much better rooms. Very misleading. This accommodation block is of a good standard, it wouldn't take much to sort out the issues with a bit of effort.

I am there again next week - and this time I have reserved a room on 7th floor in advance...I'll review again once I have stayed in that room.

2nd visit. Still find the check In to be poor. This is my 3rd visit to this hotel and they still asked if i'd been there before...not very welcoming. Room was nice but this time faced away from Majorstuen. Power control on shower broken and soap dispenser over sink broken off the wall. Both easy fixes but nobody bothered to fix them. For some reason, having booked the same accommodation as last time, the staff had opened out the sofa bed prior to my visit. I have no idea why they did this. Had wifi issues with this room - it didnt reach the bed area. Poor Management in my opinion.

Enjoyed the stay (once I got to the room). Would stay again.

Bad Check IN, Great Accommodation

Check in is terrible....walked in the rain from Nationalteatre to the Apartment only to be greeted with a sign saying that i had to walk back down the road in the rain to the Saga hotel to check in. So a terrible start and one that could have been avoided with a simple email or phone call - poor management is the reason I think.

That out the way, this apartment is really good value for money and comfortable. I was in 5002 (I think) and this has a balcony, 2 big TVs, a mini kitchen - very nicely decorated (like the photo). Also had all the things in it I needed to iron my shirts eg proper ironing board & decent iron etc. So my opinion got better the longer i stayed (4 nights).

I would stay again.

Nice studio apartment in quiet residential area

We stayed two nights and thought the apartment was very nice. Kitchen and bathroom were small but functional. Included cute balcony and comfortable bedding. A few blocks from restaurants and cafes. Building has a small elevator and an attractive lobby. It wasnt luxurious but it was very clean and functional and we would definitely stay again.

Nice spacious apartment, can fit up to 4 people. Close to Vigeland park and a couple of miles from the central station. Staff is courteous and efficient. The sofa bed could have been more comfortable, but it wasn't bad for a short stay.

The neighborhood is somewhat residential. Balconies give nice views.

I spent 5 days in Oslo and really Saga made it all that much better. The Apartments are located in a really active area of town, but on a quiet side street. Getting around was easy as it is on a few major tram stops. The staff were all warm and friendly, and the building was quiet. I couldn't have asked for a better vacation.

The studio was self sufficient.

Housekeeper however took the lamp away (don't know why) and made the room quite dark; also didn't provide a spare roll of toilet paper.

Saga Hotel

The Saga Apartment we stayed in was compact, but had everything we needed. Our room had a small balcony which we enjoyed. The location was in a residential quarter just off of the busier shopping avenue of the neighborhood. We walked to Vigeland Sculpture/Frogner Park easily. It is a pleasant neighborhood, good for people watching and walking. There are a handful of grocers between the apartment and the park. The businesses along the way were interesting and gave an idea of the area, lots of salons, a few modern furniture shops, some clothing boutiques. It is a charming, mostly quiet portion of the city to stay in. The walk from the tram was 5-10 minutes, but we were unsure of where we were going. The check-in is at a separate location, about a 5 minute walk away. The Saga is a pleasant choice from which to explore Frogner Park from.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Saga Apartments. It was pleasant and quiet. A nice boutique hotel, located just 2 blocks away from a main shopping street and bus lines. We were on a residential street and just felt like we blended in with the neighborhood. Neighborhood itself felt upscale. Breakfast was at The Saga Hotel which is a 2 1/2 block walk (up and down a hill). It is worth the walk. The room was basically a studio apartment and was a great bargain (paid $110 a night) Enjoyed relaxing on the balcony. The room itself was comfortable and very efficient in design. Would however be a challenge for someone obese and definitely would be almost impossible for someone with impaired mobility. Had free laundry (one washing machine and dryer-need to have/buy detergent) which was handy. We were only there for 3 nights so no housekeeping yet that wasn't a big deal to us. The property is only 3-4 years old so everything in good condition. It is also only about a mile from the Royal Palace.

Great hotel in the west part of Oslo. Definitely my new favorite place to stay. Close to Slottet but still in a quiey neighborhood. Super comfy bed and stylish little room with a big flat screen TV. I highly recommend it.

Nice Quiet Neighbourhood

The apartment location isn't near any attractions. But the Oslo public transport system is efficient and with the nearest tram stop (Majorstuen) less than a 10min walk away, it makes travelling around convenient nonetheless. Location of the apartment is in a nice quiet residential neighbourhood. Room was clean and comfortable. Only minor gripes were that the bathroom was relatively small (perhaps that's how it is generally in Oslo), and apparently there's no housekeeping - I made a trip down to the hotel reception (couldn't find a phone in the apartment) and made a specific request for fresh towels. When I returned, the towels were replaced, but no general cleaning done for the rest of the apartment. No issue on my side, but perhaps something you should speak with reception during your check-in if it matters to you.

Friendly and helpful check-in, with a short walk (uphill) to a modern well-equipped apartment. 28 hours of travel makes any bed a good one, but the bed was wonderfully comfortable. Small bathroom and kitchenette provided adequate facilities. Supermarket a short walk away. Good access to public transport - trams at the end of the street, and a five minute walk to the train. Overall, a nice stay at a reasonable price.

Great room, very clean and comfortable. Key cards we not programmed correctly, so had to walk a few blocks back and forth between locations, because there is no service center at apartments. Cleaning carts outside the room during the whole stay. Overall a great experience, and the apartments are in an ideal location.

Aside from not having our reservations when we arrived, we had a lovely 6 day stay. We spent the first 2 days in an attic apartment with slanted ceilings but then were transferred to our apartment. Both accommodations were very clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable--except the attic ceilings were slanted which required walking stooped over. Breakfasts were outstanding!

Staying at the Saga Aptmts was wonderful. The location is close to great shopping for groceries, books, clothing, fun Norwegian household items. You name it, Bogstadveien has it. Plus, true to Oslo there are loads of people out walking. As an older woman traveling solo, I felt safe and happy walking on my own well after dark.

Wow Sight-seeing by day/relaxing quiet in evening

Our stay at Saga Apartments was the best. We were pleasantly surprised with how fresh, modern, and clean everything was. The apartment was the perfect size for my daughter and I on a 4-day, 3-night sight-seeing tour of Oslo. The apartment was within walking distance (<10 minute walk) of shopping, grocery stores, restaurants, etc.) but far enough away from these areas that it was very quiet and relaxing. The kitchen was stocked with all kitchenware we needed. The only problem we had was we could not figure out how to run the dishwasher. Also, painters were painting the hallway while we were there but we barely noticed.

In general everything was fine, but the problem was that we had stains in our towels, which was not hygenic at all! We also found underwear in our wardrobe.. Not nice, be more careful! ( The floor was also a little dirty and stinky because it is very old.)

Een heel goed appartement; alles is er. Een supermarkt op loopafstand net als openbaar vervoer.
Wat wel vervelend is is dat je niet teveel electra tegelijkertijd kunt gebruiken want dan slaan de stoppen door.

Saga hotell er veldig bra og hyggelig. Bra service, god frokost og sentral beliggenhet. Vi har bodd i leilighetsdelen fler ganger og er strålende fornøyde med det alternativet. Hotels.com kan derimot bli tydeligere ved bestilling om frokost er inkludert eller ikke, kan oppleves som misvisende.

Veldig flott leilighet, god beliggenhet og god service. Fjerde gang jeg bor her, og nå også med hund.
Det eneste negative er at nøkkel må hentes og leveres på Saga hotel. Med masse bagasje og hund så er det ei utfordring.

1 ukes opphold i fbm Norway Cup.Sentral beliggennhet ved Bogstadveien. Kort vei til trikk/T-bane,shopping og matvarebutikker. Grei leilighet som har det viktigste man trenger: stekeovn/kjøleskap med fryseboks, bordvifte,liten balkong,garderobeskap,hårføner,
strykebrett/jern. Vaskemaskin/tørketrommel nede i 1 etg+tilgang til rent sengetøy/håndduker.

It's a centrally located, quiet place, supermarkets are around the corner. The apartment has got everything which is needed. The staff is helpful, friendly and easygoing. The breakfast buffet is a big plus.
