This is the 2nd time at Frogner and although it ticks most the boxes - one aspect has failed on both occasions and that's the wifi - both times , different rooms , using different connections as there are 2 , it is super bad , cannot have any meetings online , unfortunately because of this reason I will not be able to stay here agin - given it a 2nd chance and same issue - which tells me that it will not be sorted out next time either.

My daughter recommended Frogner House and it was perfect! I had a studio and for my needs it fit the bill. I’m planning on booking here again on my next visit to see my daughter and her family! Great location walking distance to most everything in Oslo! And the bus stop was nearby as well!

The building is beautiful, check in very easy, room was clean, modern and had everything I needed. Comfortable bed too! Very quiet. Bus stop right outside or 20 mins walk to the centre with a convenience store just a couple of minutes away. Felt like really good value too. Definitely recommend. I would recommend this hotel to anyone in a heartbeat: price, comfort and location were all ++. Very good dining and grocery options a short stroll away as is public transportation. Bonus: Free self serve laundry washer and drier in the hall.

Communication was not the best plus it said laundry on site but there wasn't any and nobody returned my message when I messaged them about it.
Plus it said there was a bar/ restaurant open down stairs in the site but there was nothing iof the sort. nice room but definitely disappointed with the things listed and no communication

This hotel was absolutely perfect for my stay in Oslo. I was traveling solo and wanted something that was easy to travel out of, both walkable and public transit. There is a bus station maybe 200 feet from the front door and a grocery store just down the block. The room was clean and comfortable. I had a question for management regarding the WiFi and it was answered very quickly. Overall, this was a really great experience. I would definitely stay here again.

Frogner House is in a great location - easy access to all points of interest. Our family has stayed several times in various sized rooms. The accommodation is good however our studio room had a particularly tiny shower enclosure which on building standards elsewhere would not be compliant. It was most unsatisfactory and we are small people. The foyer and passageway also need updating.

They have a completely unstaffed check-in arrangement, which made me nervous, but it worked out perfectly. The room was comfortable. The bed was great. Perfectly adequate shower and other amenities. It had a little kitchen area that seemed fully equipped, but we did not use it.

Visually appealing building in a pleasing area of Oslo, midway between the city centre and Bygdoy. Easy to walk into the city and also on a transport route with many buses, and a taxi rank nearby. Supermarkets within five minutes' walk.
Kitchen cleverly concealed within a cupboard. There could be more instructions for appliances. I was unable to use the hob, and the online assistant couldn't give me an answer to be able to use it. Fortunately the microwave worked. Additionally there was no remote control for the TV.
However, the bed was large and comfortable, the dining area good, and the views from the dual aspect windows were enjoyable.
Automated check in and check out presented no issues.

The entrance is through a (very good) restaurant with a vending machine check-in. Very efficient. The room I had was a good size and double aspect. The decor was modern and tasteful. The kitchen is in a cupboard and well equipped despite is size. Everything was clean and orderly.

The appartment itsself was lovely although not serviced during our stay. The entrace is after you have entered a bar? No signage to let you know is was part of the appartments and no pre arrival instructions. We only noticed the check in kiosk as the patrons of the bar moved and then we spotted in from the street. We arrived late 12.20am check in kiosk took us about 10 mins to work out... so be warned its really not signposted there were many roaming the streets as no one was expecting tbat the entrance would be inside a bar

Nice location 2 bus stops from National Theatret station, which connects to everything including the airport. Nice quiet neighborhood with shop and cafes. Very close and walkable to Vikeland Park which is highly recommended.

The delivered breakfast package is very nice as is the on-site free laundry. Splurge for a balcony room if you can. Aside from whatever view you have, you gain much light, extra space, and fresh air.

The self check-in is very easy and includes An English language option.

We would definitely return.

I still did not like the cleanliness of the room. It was awful and it was difficult to shower because of it. Frogner House still do not have air conditioning. Opening the window does not help in the heat of day when the sun shines in your window, no matter what they say! Next time I’ll find somewhere else to stay.

I'm not averse to checking myself in by machine, but in our case somehow we were forced to check in in Norwegian - a language we do not speak. Fortunately someone else who happened to be checking in right after us did speak Norwegian so she helped us to press the correct buttons, but we ended up with printouts of information and a receipt in Norwegian, which obviously are just about useless to us.

Otherwise, we were quite happy with our stay. Our apartment had a persistent electrical problem that required us to flip a breaker each time we wanted to use the stove, and it lacked some cooking necessities like a vegetable peeler, but nevertheless we appreciated the quiet, spare apartment on the top floor.

The check in place was not the room stay address, we needed to walk 10 minutes (900 meters) and carried our luggage walked through on gravel road to the room place. The important point was no any information informed to guest before guest arrived. We paid extra money to call IDD and time to find out what happened because there was a no front desk hotel. That's not honest to the guest.

We loved staying at The Frogner. It was convenient to the buses and to stores. The kitchenette was so nice to have. It was quiet and spacious. We even used the washer and dryer. The only downsides were the outside key card didn't always work smoothly and the restaurant wasn't open in the building, but there were great food choices around every corner. The room had space for a bigger chair or settee that would have been an extra bonus. We would definitely stay again.

If you are fit and healthy, Frogner House is the perfect place to stay to explore everywhere in Oslo. We required no public transport the whole weekend and found it to be very central. Only 30minutes walk to the far side of the city centre. The apartment was clean, modern and luxurious with everything we needed to cook our own meals and prepare lunch for the day. I would definitely recommend staying here.

I got this an excellent deal on the room. Generally a very good room (in terms of facilities and comfort), in a good condition (though the flooring was scratched quite significantly). A tasty breakfast was delivered outside the door every day. To improve the cleanliness rating of the room, it’d be better if towels and bins were replaced during our stay. Also the Oslo weather wasn’t great so the floors could be cleaned as well. Otherwise would recommend!

Had an opportunity to stay at this studio apartment last week . Absolutely loved the room decor and the location was great - right on the 30/31 bus line. We stayed in a corner room that was perfectly suited to our needs with a stove top, microwave oven, mini fridge and all the kitchen dishes & cookware needed for our stay. There was plenty of room to unpack & store all of our clothes and toiletries. We really loved the space and enjoyed our visit to Oslo! Absolutely recommend!

The apartment was convenient to transit and in a nice area. There are some things to be aware of: There is no staff onsite so any issues might or might not get handled. We asked for a blanket for the bed and after two calls, a young man brought a sheet and lectured us about the duvet on the bed...very rude and condescending. The kitchenette was handy but sparce. The bathroom was so tiny you could brush your teeth while sitting on the toilet. All this may be fine, but it's nice to be aware.

The apartment is big enough for 3-4. Love the folding cupboard and kitchen. It's clean and comfort. Self-checkin and checkout processes were excellent! Location is nice and convenient. You can take the bus 30/31 to city center or train station easily.

No front desk, no AC, no cleaning service

BEWARE OF WHAT YOU PAY FOR--you basically get no service at all during your stay:

- No front desk: Good luck on getting in the apartment lobby so that you can check in with a kiosk. Have any questions? Use the chatbot that does not work 24 hours.

- No AC: The room was like burning when the outside temperature was 29 degrees during our visit at the end of June. Our 3-year-old daughter was sweating all the time and could barely sleep.

- No cleaning service unless you pay extra ~USD100 per request: It was NOT listed on the Orbitz page--what a trap! You have to visit the apartment's website to find out. We learned via their chatbot after two days without cleaning. You'll have to either pay or use their free laundry room (with your own detergent). Both Orbitz and the hotel management refused to provide any refund on such missing info.

- Barely working blinds: The curtains were not fully covered, which means you'll have to sleep in a bright room in the lovely Scandinavian summer. We later moved to another hotel (Park Inn) and finally got sweet dreams like a baby.

The compact kitchen is quite cool and we enjoyed it like a home, but with all the above inconveniences, think twice before booking.

I loved this as far as apartments go. And I’ll even stay here again. I don’t know if it’s the culture or this hotel. But if you owe them money at all they will be at your door 21 times in a day somehow. But if you ask for a set of clean towels or to have something changed you won’t see or hear of a staffer for days until you hear how busy this completely quiet place has been. Fine. I get it it’s business. But Oslo is not tourist pricing friendly and we still pay a lot to stay here . Provide as much service as your billing department does and this place would be amazing .

I rented a large studio for my parents for their visit to Norway. I live across the street, so this was an ideal location. In some ways, we were very happy with the apartment: (1) Check-in was automated and very easy; (2) the room was clean and stylish; (3) the location is excellent. BUT, there were two major problems. (1) The hotel changed us to a different location that was nearby the day beforehand because of double-booking. Thsi was a real concern, given that my parents are older and we booked the Bygdoy Alle location entirely because it was across the street from my home. They did eventually rebook someone else's reservation so my parents didn't have to stay farther away, but this should still be a concern for other guests who may get rebooked. (2) Though we booked for an exective suite (with bed and sofa bed), they received a small studio. I am contacting the company today to ask for a refund of the additional cost.

I came around 11 pm to stay for one night. It was -4 degrees outside and snowing. There was self-registration which was ok and the housing was nice in a good neighborhood. However, when I came to my room it was ice-cold as the heating doesn´t go on until the key is inserted inside the room. It was also very dark inside as only a small reading light by the bed was working. The ceiling lights and the table lamp beside the bed did not work. To be able to see in the dark I had to keep the bathroom door open and switch on the TV until I went to bed in the ice-cold and dark room. There was no service as it was past 11 pm. The positive was that the bed was comfortable and the room was clean so I did sleep well. There was also free wi-fi.

I had some trouble with check-in because the key didn’t come out from the self check-in kiosk. For someone who is new to such system, I didn’t know any better. Very glad that the housekeeper assisted and let me in into my room while waiting for the reception team to come to issue me a new key. The wait wasn’t long too. Respond time was fast. Everything else was hassle free and convenient. Staff were welcoming and always ready to assist. All that I needed was in the room including new sponge and clean towels for the kitchen. Environment was peaceful and quiet, just how I like it. Room was amazing and spacious for a single occupier. I really enjoyed my stay!

A lovely surprise!

My apartment for one was perfect in every way: 4 stops from the centre on the bus, quick easy check-in, stylish and very comfortable room, quiet, and - most surprising of all - such a brilliant mini kitchen 'hiding' in the cupboard! I wasn't sure what to expect, but it really was so well designed and stocked with everything you need to prepare and cook simple meals (which makes food a little more affordable if you are on a budget!) It was also relaxing after being out sight-seeing all day to come back and relax without having to go out again to eat. I also liked the option of having a breakfast delivered to your door. The TV can also be used to book an alarm call. I loved the old building the apartment was in and will definitely book again on my next visit to Oslo.

Stayed with my wife for three nights. Check-in was easy. The apartment was very good and well appointed. There is no front desk at some of the apartment locations. That said, the amount of information and ease of contacting staff via phone, chat, Facebook, e-mail, etc. was exceedingly easy. Honestly, the customer service was better than the last dozen hotels I have stayed in. That includes a few five star hotels! Don't be afraid of the lack of \"hotel\" amenities - this is the best Aparthotel I've seen and we've stayed at many all over Europe.

Oslo (and all of Norway for that matter) are super expensive, especially for food. A simple fast food meal for two can run $45 without drinks. Staying at a small apartment and eating breakfast and dinner in will safe HUGE money!

This place was adorable, clean, in a really cute neighbourhood and had great kitchen amenities. The bathroom floor was heated which was incredible for getting ready for the day on fall mornings! Bus stop is ten steps away and takes you to city centre and the pier!

Staying at Frogner House is like staying in a home rather than a hotel. Easy, comfortable and convenient. It feels more like you are living there, and not like being a guest at a hotel.

Excellant place to stay

We enjoyed the large room with kitchenette, very close to the tram and bus line. Within walking distance to many sights also. The only down side is there is no reception at this location, but it is within walking distance at another Frogner location.

Great for Oslo city break

Perfect position near the centre of Oslo in the embassy district. Bus stop right outside and convenience stores nearby. Very quiet room. Comfortable beds. Perfectly equipped kitchen. Sofa bed made up ready to use on arrival. The room felt spacious even with 4 of us and our luggage in it.

A check in desk / kiosk has been installed on site which made checking in very simple.

frogner -- think twice.

If you have been here before, you wouldn't be reading this. If you haven't, understand that you will have no front desk. This is fine if everything works out perfectly, but if it doesn't, make sure that your phone can dial internationally, because you're going to be calling Oslo numbers to get people to help you get into your room. The room was fine. The stove was broken, but that's life -- they are responsive if you can get in touch with them. If you can't, you're kind've screwed -- the concept of a 24h front desk does not exist at Frogner -- hence why it's cheaper. The customer service is 100% when you get in touch with them, so it's a mixed bag.

Oslo visit

Hotel was in a convenient area, easy access to city center (5 minutes by bus, which was very frequent). Area was also very nice, and nice architecture too. The room was comfortably furnished and felt clean. Kitchen in the room was convenient too, so you can buy stuff to cook since eating out in Oslo is rather expensive. For a longer stay, you would need to get your own toiletries since it's more of an apartment style. Front desk is not 24 hours and is limited service. They are willing to store luggage for you so that's nice.

Expedia have out of date info

I got a message from Expedia tell me there was no check in at the hotel location so I went to the suggested location to get hotel keys, just to find out that at the hotel is a check in desk, being winter and having luggage very uncomfortable. Hotel is great get the slightly bigger rooms they are better.

Great room in a great area, Spacious room with a nice little kitchenette .Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Lots of restaurants, coffee shops and markets nearby. Very accessibl. Bus stop right outside!

Convenient, clean, beautiful room loved the kitche

OMG was the words out of our mouth's when we arrived. The room is beautiful the concierge was very friendly very helpful. Everyone in Norway went the extra mile to help us. We are from the United States and enjoyed Norway a lot. They restaurant there at Frogner house was my favorite dining experience I have ever had.the food was the best ever. We encourage everyone to go eat there. I have eaten in many five star restaurants I would write this one five stars.

high class property in a great neighbourhood

The room was comfortable and well equipped for my stay and gave me flexibility in a great neighbourhood, with only walking distance to museums, parks and the centre of the city. Breakfast was also delicious and delivered outside the room door exactly when it should have been there.

The apartment is not in the center of the city, but it is not far (about 25 minutes walk). The room is big, comfort. breakfast is simple and delivered to your door. The only thing we don't like is we have to take out the trash and wash the dishes

Great place to stay.

A very comfortable 6 day stay in Oslo. Apartment building is extremely easy to find as it is a direct bus from Oslo central bus station. Staff very friendly and helpful. Oslo passes can be purchased from reception and are extremely good value.
