Staff was friendly, room was dusty, the wifi worked and there was free water. My room was locked a few hours before the check-out time but the staff helped me get into my room. Lot's of storage space and plenty of plugs.

Window was bolted shut, only a small part of the 4 part window could be opened, this means there were no fire escape. Room had no fridge (some do in this hotel).

It would really benefit the customer if there were more than 1 clerc though. If a clerc is busy doing other tasks it can be annoying to wait to check in

The location is ideal. The standard room is a good size, very clean, with adjustable heating, and the shower is hot and powerful. The lifts work well, serving odd and even floors separately. There's a small gym on-site and a lounge area equipped with useful amenities, plus free coffee near the reception.

A cheap hotel near the centre of Oslo and I would say you get what you pay for. Only really needed a room with a bed and somewhere to stay overnight and that's what you get! Other facilities in the hotel too, but we didn't need them.

The room was sufficient, no frills but clean. Staff was not very helpful and made us wait while they helped a group who arrived after us. There was construction in the area around the hotel which made it hard to get to our Uber. I think they changed their offering after I booked because I recall breakfast being offered in the listing, but it was not included. I will most likely find another hotel for my next trip.

We had a so called triple so the room consisted of a double bed and pull out couch double bed. There was 1 small table. The double bed had bedside lights but not the pull out. There were no chairs to sit on. There was no room for suitcases. There really wasn't anywhere to hang clothes.

The toilet was rectangular so it was very uncomfortable to sit on.

The room was clean and the beds were reasonably comfortable.

We had paid in advance but were charged by the automated checkin. When I checked my records, they willingly refunded the second payment. However, it cost me approximately $30 Canadian in exchange on my credit card.

Carpets need good professional cleaning, they smell bad inside the rooms. A cellphone battery charger and cables were stollen just before we checked out on our last day. On the good side, the overnight front desk person was very helpful and courteous.

I faced the situation that staff were just gone and people ware making a long line at the “Barception”several times. It was really bad.

The breakfast bag is relatively expensive but the quality is bad. I would recommend you to buy different things individually at the Barception or go to a convenient store.

Overall good - avoid during summer temps

Great location. Polite and helpful staff. Our room was great; spacious, includes TV, etc. We stayed in september and the room was a bit stuffy / hot still, I can only imagine how summer is. They claim to have central ventilation but it very clearly doesnt work. Major construction outside the hotel makes it hard to open the windows (they start early). The \"Laundromat\" is just a very small washer and dryer that is in the cafe downstairs. $9 USD per load of laundry. Elevators were a bit rough, they are very small and seem to have issues. Several times we just took the stairs instead. Its one of those \"everything for a fee, but we did that for you\" type establishments. Ie: room service costs a fee, we do that to not bother you during your stay. Breakfast is available for a fee because \"some just want coffee and some want pancakes.\"
Overall it was a good stay, but could use some improvements.

The staff was so kind and helpful and spoke excellent English. The rooms were spare but nice and clean. They had a problem with the elevator not working in the new part of the building so we had to take elevator to our floor in the old part and had to haul our luggage up about 10 steps but we managed and would stay there again. Only a few blocks to Oslo Central Station and to shops and restaurants. Road construction on the street out front but that can't be helped by the hotel.

This is a very reasonably priced hotel near the centre of Oslo in easy walking distance of the cathedral and harbour area. It is no frills in terms of no breakfast buffet, but there are plenty of local cafes and bakeries nearby. The room was cosy for me, my wife and 15yr old son on a temporary bed but for the price and location, acceptable. The bathroom and shower was v good. They have a great (small) rooftop area on the 9th floor. Also free table tennis in the basement. A basic hotel done v well, and would stay again.

Windows locked except one and that disabled the heat controls. Had to find someone to lock the window so that temperature controls would work. Shower leaked all over the bathroom.

The hotel is about a 15-minute walk from Oslo Station, which was very convenient. There are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, so it was easy to find a place for dinner. The room was clean, but there were no amenities such as a kettle or coffee provided. Next to the reception there was some bread and other items for sale, but I wasn’t sure how to purchase them since there was no explanation at check-in. In fact, I didn’t receive any information about what facilities were available or whether breakfast was offered, which was a bit confusing.

During my stay, there seemed to be major construction going on nearby. The noise was noticeable until around 10 p.m. at night and again from around 6 a.m., but it was tolerable. Overall, the location was excellent and I had no major issues, so I was satisfied with my stay.

I stayed 3 days and no cleaning done throughout my stay, room allotted was in adjacent building and for that I had to take elevator 1 floor then walk through the long corridor and climb down staircase to reach my room. With big suitcase, it was an issue for me. Good thing was hotel was 5 to 10 minutes walk from Oslo Central Station. Neighborhood felt safe. Room was spacious and clean. The check- in was available even late at night which was convenient for me. Other than cleaning not done and reaching my room needed me to cross staircase with luggage, everything was good regarding the stay.

A decent stay

The room was a decent size, with a good bathroom and a smart design for storage. We were surprised to find a minifridge, which was great. TV was pretty old and didn't have a smart option. While we didn't have time to use the gym, we paid a visit and it was really decent. The locker room is really small and shared with all guests, so not as safe as we were expecting. On the last day, they ended up allowing for a late check-out because the locker was already full. We were unlucky to catch a heat wave in Oslo and the thermostat in the room didn't work at all. They made it sound like it was a common occurrence and gave us a fan instead. Service is mostly impersonal, the lifts are really weird, but it's a good enough location, halfway between the different areas of the city.

The room is comparable to a US motel room stay. Location of hotel is not great unless you like to walk a lot, but tram station is nearby. The room was clean, but decor is minimal. Bathroom is large, but utilitarian. Washer and dryer is available for a fee at basement level. The one nice feature of the hotel was ability to store luggage after checkout time without charge. reception staff was available and was helpful.

This is a great hotel if you want to check out the area. Busses/trams were within walking distance. Many places are also within walking distance. Using public transportation is organized and reliable! We did the Oslo Pass. It was a useful purchase.
