Loved my one-night Sunday stay here with my sister. Our twin room was very comfy. Enjoyed the pool, the restaurant and the gorgeous gardens.
They obviously had more guests than they were staffed for in the restaurant. We really enjoyed our relaxed evening meal, but a lot of other guests were moaning and breakfast the next morning was shambolic.
I must mention quite how wonderful the maintenance staff were when I realised that my electric car battery had drained completely overnight. They don't have a charger and mobile reception is poor. The staff helped me to start charging the battery, which involved googling how to gain access to the boot, charging cable and charging port by activating the secret sequence of button presses to unlock the car when it did not respond to the key.

Beautiful room with a view of the garden. Excellent staff, polite, welcoming and extremely professional delivering an incredibly high standard of customer service. Grsa food, a blissfully peaceful environment. Even in terrible weather there was somewhere to sit quietly and read.
Great pool and spa facilities with long opening hours and times set aside for adults.

The walls were so thin (we had two rooms in the newer end) we hardly slept each night. We could even hear the person next door snoring! I also was able to hear my 17 and 16 year old two rooms down laughing at the telly!

Breakfast on the first day was great but the second day thy had run out of so much. No brown bread, no butter, only one pastry, no Greek yogurt, no fruit salad. I know it was Christmas but it wasn’t great.

Communal areas were lovely, beautifully decorated but the rooms and corridors in our wing need a refresh.

Unfortunately the steam room was closed, pool was quite cold and the sauna was full. So all in all a little disappointing.

We had a wonderful time. There was something for everyone..the kids loved the pool, we loved sitting by the fires and wandering the hotel for cosy spots and everyone loved the walk. The staff were so friendly. We definitely wanto to do christmas again at Wotton.

On arrival we found everything beautiful, our room very comfortable. Sad to say we felt you let your side down in the dinning room. Our order seem to take ages to arrive.
No one took unwanted glasses from our table hence table became very full. Our starter meal served, then for nearly an hour plus & after members of our family group informing a waiter , were are still waiting for our MAIN COURSE . Eventually we were served. We also asked for jugs of water after a considerable time of waiting our Son decided to get it himself. Main meal delivered without our starter plates being collected. Waiter had 2 plates of food to deliver & had to place them on another table to start to collect our empty starter plates.
I speaking about my meal which I found it to be cold on arrival that applies to others feeling the same.
I am part of the Booking for our Daughters 50th Birthday Celebration. On Wednesday 24th Dec .
At some point I phoned to ask about a birthday cake spoke to a member of your staff in the run up to the party being booked. I asked if we were allowed to bring a birthday Cake to the Hotel. At that point I was told that they will look into organising a birthday cake nothing happened about that. ?

All the staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. We have stayed at the hotel a few times now and you always feel welcome and like nothing you ask is too big.
It feel very safe and my friend is in a wheelchair and can get around easily and use all the facilities.
It is definitely a place we will be coming back too!

The hotel itself was amazing. Reception staff were friendly and made checking in and out a breeze. The bar and restaurant were both aesthetically beautiful to spend time in, and the breakfast buffet was delicious. We stayed in a basic room- the decor was lovely and it was ample for what we needed for our 1 night stay. The issues we found were that the bed was extremely squeaky and loud, you couldn't move without a huge amount of noise. My husband's side of the bed sloped- likely it was broken underneath or the springs had gone, so he found he was falling out in the night. The window frame was covered in mould from condensation that had never been cleaned off. It was all over the frame and really needed to be cleaned. The room was very hot with zero heating on- this might be a positive for some people, for us it was a bit too warm and I slept without the duvet and the window open which in the middle of December seems unheard of! The other disappointment was that the health spa facilities were unexpectedly closed in the morning so after breakfast we were unable to use them as planned. This was very disappointing for us, we booked the hotel based on the facilities and had planned to use the pool before checking out. We were not warned in advance of the closure. Overall the hotel is wonderful, just the room requires a few things to be fixed, then it would have been perfect. We would visit again, but probably only when we could afford to stay in a higher spec room.

Overall quite good, with pleasant bar and good breakfast buffet. Good staff despite poor check-in experience.
Room was very tiny despite an upgrade, with mould in the bathroom and rotting bathroom door. Extractor fan was not working, which would contribute to these issues!
Restaurant was not tried for evening meals, as the clinical cafe ambiance did not appeal - we used a local pub instead.

Bedrooms rooms were run down and at times dirty, the breakfast was really not good at all. The service at the bar for over 1h on the day of the wedding for arriving guests was not available and staff were nowhere to be seen. When the staff were there on both Saturday and friday evening were just over run, when you have wedding guests arriving the day before expect t o be busy and NOT just have one bar tender, its a HOTEL you know how many people are coming. The Gardens, and wedding chappel was delightful and look good in the photos, if you want service and cleanliness and good food give it a miss, if you want instagram photos go for it. (the staff tried, but they just did not have enough people - Can't expect the kids to run it the management need to be present and aware)

The staff were exceptional especially the gentleman who delivered our room service. Unfortunately we didn’t get his name but we were in room 353 on the 26th Oct. You had an event on and were extremely busy but he was working so hard and delivered excellent service. We saw he was also still working at breakfast! Again he worked so hard and was so friendly. A real credit. We will definitely stay again when we visit the area. Thank you

Beautiful place. I was here for a wedding and it was a truly amazing experience. It also smelt wonderful due to many diffusers. I loved it and would happily return. Excellent breakfast too. I was in the newer part - comfortable bed lovely room though a small window. My only gripe is the room coffee. Fabulous range of quality teabags and biscuits but only sachet coffee. Strange!! Interior design and decorations give it an elegant vibe. Clean and well-thought-out spaces throughout the estate. The grounds were in pristine condition.

Great but rooms are INCREDIBLY HOT. The weather wasn’t particularly hot but the rooms just seem to hold in heat. I had to move rooms and have a fan on. The hallway was considerably cooler. I considered sleeping with the door open! That said it may be because the rooms are over the pool / sauna.

The food was very average.

Beautiful place and setting. Options for long lovely walks around the estate. Restaurant for dinner was lovely so to was the service, however limited options for vegetarians or vegans which was disappointing considering we stayed for a few nights. The hotel itself is in some beautiful gardens. Peaceful. The only problem was the sheer heat in the bedrooms. No air on, but, were given a Dyson fan which barely helped. Picturesque hotel, with a traditional feel and a lovely garden/terrace to enjoy a drink outdoors. The room was standard, no fridge, food was

We made a return visit to Wotton House and were delighted with our stay. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the grounds were particularly enjoyable this time around. Can thoroughly recommend making a reservation on the tennis court, and the spa provide rackets and balls for free. The spa is small, but the staff take great care and attention to ensure that it is clean. The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating, especially joyful souls like Annalisa in reception.

Lovely hotel with everything you need for a night away. We checked in and made use of the pool and jacuzzi straight away which is included in the price, although the leisure club is a little dated it was still nice.

The room was clean and tidy with everything we needed and more than comfortable.

Lovely restaurant and bar on site with a lovely outside to sit into the night. There’s also beautiful grounds to explore if you wish!

Brilliant staff from check in, dining and check out.

We had a wonderful time for our second stay here.
Very friendly and comfortable atmosphere, exceptionally clean and calm.

The only downside was the room was far too hot and we did not visit at a time of heatwave.
There was a fan provided, but unfortunately it did not make much difference.

I wouldn’t stay here again at the height of summer.

We really enjoyed the hotel, grounds and restaurant. Unfortunately we were in a very small room which was very hot and the property were unable to offer an alternative as the hotel was full. It was so hot in the room that it was unpleasant to be in there for too long. A fan was in the room and the small window was open but this did little to offset the heat.

The most beautiful grounds and gardens. Wonderful nature, so much to explore. Maciek at reception was super. The barman was helpful, as was Jose at the breakfast. Only small thing on the hottest day in years- the coolers woild normally be okay but perhaps it is time to add proper AC.

It was nearly all of what I wanted it to be. Its a grand old house with a charm of its own set in pleasant grounds. Cleanliness of room was faultless. The temperature control for the shower over the bath was not working quite as it should. Needs attention although just about serviceable. Also faulty light over the sink. However room very comfortable.

Great buffet breakfast. Had one evening meal at the hotel also which was much enjoyed. Not sure that what we ate represents good value for money but the price was roughly what I expected and no complaints about the food.

The hotel is a very easy car journey from either Epsom or Dorking for shopping

What was a shame was the lack of staff to clear away empty bottles of drink and used plates from the very attractive terrace in a timely fashion. These attracted bees/wasps which are a nuisance to subsequent users

Pleasant surprise

As is often the case with 3-star hotels, I expected the public areas to be freshly renovated and the rooms to feel dated. However, to my pleasant surprise, our family room (253) was simple but nicely refurbished.

A few minor downsides: the room was very hot on arrival, though a free-standing A/C had been set up. After mentioning this to reception, they promptly brought a Dyson Cool fan, which worked very well. The bathroom sink was slow to drain, which was a bit inconvenient. The wife in the room was very slow, only one device can connect at a time.

The swimming pool and spa facilities aren’t particularly modern, but everything was clean and well maintained, which made for an enjoyable experience. The gardens—both natural and formal—were lovely to stroll through and clearly well cared for.

We had dinner at the bar; the menu was limited and on the pricey side for what you get, though I feel this is very common in many places. A thoughtful touch was the eco-bag with used coffee grounds provided for guests to use as garden fertiliser—such a lovely, sustainable idea.

Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and we’d happily return in the future. Many thanks to the team!

Wotton House is a beautiful historic property in stunning grounds. The rooms are clean but lack air conditioning. Fans are provided. Every member of staff that we met was very friendly and helpful. Each one went above and beyond what I would expect which is what makes the hotel so good. Breakfast was nice with good quality food and a wide selection to choose from. We will definitely be returning.

I enquired at reception about an event later in the year. No-one had any further i go and said they’d get someone to call on Monday. Hmmmm. Still waiting on that call.

Good location, ideally situated for the Surrey hills. Breakfast format varies depending on how many guests are staying but has everything needed. Room was hot and no air conditioning, although a fan was provided.

Room was like a furnace, possibly hot water pipes running under or just the one small window. Bed and bathroom decent. Drink selection good and breakfast was excellent for a buffet. Did see a dead cockroach on the carpet of the main walkway which gave me pause, but by then I was checking out.

The grounds were nice, couldn't find me for check in, but was resolved, paid for a breakfast that i included in my booking, the breakfast was cold, staff said they took cash but prefered card payment as it was easier for them. In general staff only seemed interested in promoting upgrades, information was via scaning a qwerty code were you could download a pdf, not a great selection available at the bar. Rooms ridiculously hot, no means to control the temperature, this was a common theme with all guests, again staff said it was out of their control, siting the historic building as the issue, despite the majority of rooms being in a new build. The drains in the ensuite need cleared as water builds up quickly in the shower and leaked from the basin.

Was disappointed in the room and how hot it was. As it was my birthday I asked for something special to make my two children happy. Our room was basic. We had a voucher for 2 complimentary glasses of Prosecco. I don’t drink Prosecco so asked for a drink for the same value but wasn’t allowed. The children’s menu in the restaurant does not have enough options. We won’t be returning sadly.

Good enough for the money but missing in some aspects. The room was so hot we couldnt sleep even with the fan and the window open. Also, the pool/spa area could really do with a makeover as it was small, dated and dirty.
We tried to call reception/housekeeping 6 times throughout the afternoon and no one picked up

We attended a wedding at Wotton House and stayed for 2 days. The place is beautiful and the staff are very attentive. Highly recommend this venue.
