It would have been good however 1) was sold as an hotel but in fact is a b&b. 2)have been told that reception was 247 but was not. 3) the day I left there was nobody at the reception and THE WAY OUT WAS LOCKED. This is unacceptable especially for safety reasons. Please imagine if we had to escape a fire. I want my money back

Great service, great location, a lot of people in the reviews mentioned how difficult it was to locate the place.. it’s really self explanatory. The only thing is you have to buzz in to get into the building which can be annoying. But I really enjoyed my stay and will be coming back!

The entrance to the hotel is very weird and creepy, it’s in a weird old building with other businesses. Super hard to find it in the huge building. Very creepy, there was no one else other than us. Couldn’t stay the night left after 10 mins from our arrival and they didn’t accept to do any refund for us! Don’t recommend it to anyone.

A nice place.

It is as others said, it's on the third floor of an office building. You take an elevator up from a courtyard. The place is clean. The breakfast was nice. The front desk is super and helpful. The area was safe and there was ao much in walking distance. The Metro was not far away either. I would stay again if it were a bit cheaper.

The room was modern and comfortable.
Even though our room was facing Via Toledo, whem we closed the window, it was very quiet.

On arrival, it was very hard to find the hotel. There isn't a big sign of the hotel name. We had to call the reception for help. I accept from a 4 star hotel to arrange a proper sign to help the guests finding the hotel.

Breakfast: i can't even call it a continental Breakfast. The breakfast included small pieces of baguette, small pieces of cheese, small slices of salamy, several cakes that weren't eateble. From the second morning we had our breakfast outside. If the category is 4 star hotel, the hotel can't serve this kind of breakfast.

The intercom was broken for the first 2 days (weekend) of our stay and the only option was to call the hotel to get in, but neither of our phones would call the international number, so we had to wait until someone came out in order to get in, so in future, if it breaks, it might be worth thinking about an alternative option for international tourists. It was fixed asap on the Monday.

Our room was quiet, even though on a busy very noisy street, the balcony doors were super soundproofed.

We found a couple of issues with the room, the stand in shower didn't work and the fittings were loose, but there was another shower above the bath so we didn't mention it to the staff. The main thing we found odd was the lack of toilet door! We think it was intentional, but there were obvious holes in the walls for hinges where there may have been one in the past. For private people, the lack of a door may be a problem... we had a running joke throughout the holiday about \"needing to make use of a door\" for our more serious ablutions.

Probably one of the cleanest hotels we've stayed in, but make sure to keep things tidy and not to keep things on the floor (shoes, bags, washing) as they will be tidied away and moved.

At the end of the stay we got a gift bag as well <3

The rom was terrible. Hard bed, pillows, dirty sheets. Isolation was unbelievable, I heard all the noises from outside and next room to me all the night. When I show the manager dirty sheets, he just told me I’m in a bad mood.
The breakfast, food was old, terrible, I didn’t eat breakfast there.
Totally I want to say I would never stay in this place. Absolutely not a 4 star hotel. I wouldn’t say 3 star either.

The property charged us an additional fee for having more than one person (2) share the room. My girlfriend and I had been traveling Italy for 10 days and this hotel charged us because we had two people sharing the room instead of one. The most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen.

I feel bad to leave a bad review because the staff is super nice and they really try to do their best, but this is not a four stars hotel and whoever designed it probably never stayed at a hotel. The shower is extremely small and it floods the \"bathroom\" since there is not enough space for the water to drain. There are very few sockets, the only ones next to the beds are the ones for the bedside table lamps, so you have to choose to charge your phone or turn on the lamp. The TV is small for the size of the bedroom and distance of the bed and there is a lack of mirrors. There is almost no noise isolation, every time someone rang downstairs for them to open the gate, I would wake up during the night. They made me leave my key when I left the hotel, and when I was back, I just said the room number and they returned, no questions asked, which makes me wonder about security since the person who gave me back the keys, had never seen me in the hotel before. Finally, when I was checking out, their employee didn't know how to operate the card machine and I had to wait for his colleague to wake up and get dressed to come and help, I waited around 15 minutes and almost missed my flight. I also have to add that they forgot to charge me for the hotel night and charged me only for the city tax. When I arrived home, I was surprised with an email from them asking for my credit card details - not professional at all, who sends credit card details over emails? I could pay with Paypal later on.

Hotel was great. Renovations ongoing at the entrance but when completed will be much better. Boutique hotels appreciated but don’t know the reason for a bathtub in the middle of the room. Many hotels are getting rid of bathtubs period and having bigger showers. Location is fantastic.

Building in which this hotel is located is under renovation, stairway is full of scaffolding, no hotel sign makes the place difficult to find, garbage bins at the gate are a turn off as you enter the property. Front desk said that our next door occupants complained because of the noisy bathroom fan in our room, A/C does not cool the room. Other wise hotel is clean an newly renovated, staff is very nice and helpful.

Great location, but no privacy to shower

We were in a superior twin. The room was clean, the hotel an excellent location and we got a nice welcome.
However, the room is not suitable if sharing with a friend. We had a twin room but the shower is in the room itself albeit towards the side. The shower door is see through so there is no privacy!!! You can see into the shower from sitting on one of the beds. The toilet door is frosted but not a proper door that closes so little privacy for using the loo too, and the sink is in the room itself. We asked if we could move to a room without a see-through shower or one that was not in the bedroom but we were told they were all like that.
In addition, the inbuilt wall fan in the room was not working properly so it was far too hot, we asked for a small standalone fan for the room but were told they didnt have them. We made do for one night, but it was uncomfortable.

More of a 3* than 4*

Room in general was nicely designed with a modern look, it had a nice view over the main road but slightly double edged sword and it was pretty noisy with night life and cleaners (I imagine this may be problematic if visiting in the summer when it's more comfortable to have the windows open)
The breakfast was certainly nothing to write home about, all the bready/baked goods were pretty dry and all the cut meats did not appear to be fresh from the same day, the coffee wasn't great either, honestly better off no including the breakfast and popping to a cafe on the main street, certainly wouldn't consider it 4*.
The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to get you a cab for your travels but the concierge system can be a bit awkward, having to ring to get into the building and then again to get into the hotel, you may find yourself waiting a couple of minutes to be let in.
Would recommend some anti-mosquito gear if going as we got munched up pretty good.
Hotel is located just on the edge of the Quartieri Spagnoli, which is listed as being slightly dodgy in many guides, but we didn't feel uncomfortable in our immediate area. It's not the most centralised hotel so we took cabs when we visited any location with the cost being around €8 (keep an eye on what the taxi price is actually displayed as because they appear to have a habit of rounding it up sometimes by a couple of euros)

Very modern hotel situated in an old building. Breakfast very good. Staff extremely nice and helpful. Hotel is somewhat difficult to find and doors are locked to get up to the hotel which is on the third floor of the building. More instruction regarding this would have made it a little less stressful.
Only one sheet on the bed for cover. I needed a little more and no extra blankets. Excellent view of the center below!

Fantastic stay in a great location just off the main shopping street and 5 minutes walk from the port!
The hotel staff we're excellent and multi lingual which helps and they were so helpful with any questions or queires I had and generally wanted to help which you don't get in many big chained hotels!

100% would stay their again if I ever return to Naples!

I personally loved the uniqueness of it's location and how to access it very odd but adds character to what is an already character full hotel!

A boutique hotel on the 3rd floor of a former bank, Hotel Brigada has a great location near 2 subway stations, across the street from Umberto Plaza, steps from Toledo, a main shopping street, with many good restaurants and sights within easy walking distance. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They even gave me a large bag of pasta as a thank you gift when I left. My room had a mini-bar with reasonable prices. The room was relatively small but designed to use the space efficiently. The lighting could have been better for reading in bed. The entrance to the hotel is a little tricky since the ground floor of the building is now used for parking and you have to be buzzed in, but it's not that different from other boutique hotels I've stayed in in Italy. Overall, I was very pleased I selected this hotel.

While centrally located, hotel was not kept well. I had hairs on the bed upon arriving which I had to lint roll off. The AC while on high was barely cool. The staff was good, just a little awkward when we showed up. Overall nothing to compare to in Naples but from other cities, not up to our standard for a 4 star hotel.

The entrance to the hotel is difficult to find, with only a tiny sign outside to indicate where it is. You then have to intercom through to be let in and go up to the third floor where you have to be let in again. On one occasion someone leaving let us through downstairs and then we had to wait 10 minutes for someone to appear at reception as there was no buzzer to be let into the hotel.

The description of the hotel as boutique meant we expected individualism in the design of each room whereas the feeling was more aligned to bland hotel design with lots of weird art work.

Our room was very compact, particularly in the bathroom where the shower was small, we were especially not expecting to see each other shower, wash or other bathroom activities from the bedroom as there was a glass wall into the room.

The location was very central for being able to find places to eat, drink and shop, which was good.

We did not try the breakfast as the \"finger food\" arrangement was not to our preference.

Spooky and uncomfortable experience in Naples

The entrance was spooky and it was a dark garage. We had to take a lift up to hotel which is at level 3 and the lift looks very very old and seems like it might break down soon.

Receptionist was quite friendly but the hotel interior looks very makeshift. Lights were sensor based so when you look into the hotel corridor, it was totally dark.

Room was small and noisy from the streets below. Most importantly, bed sheet was stained which made up our mind to change a hotel. The staff offered to change us another room but we thought it would not help since she can't change the hotel lobby and the design of the dark hotel. We did not stay in the hotel any longer (less than an hour) and decided to book another hotel instead.

Trendy Boutique Hotel

No major complaints about this hotel. Overall it was a great experience!
The walls were a little thing and you could hear people when they walked through the hallways.
The style of the hotel was pleasant and trendy.

Some notes for future visitors:
This is a boutique hotel. You have to get buzzed in in order to enter the building. The entrance is not obvious so if you get dropped off and don't see it, look for the intercom and the hotel name.
When you leave the hotel you have to leave your room key with the receptionist.

It's in the middle of all of the shopping and close the Castle Nuovo and close enough to walk along the water.

AC did not work and the wifi in our room did not work. I had 2 different staff look into it and they did nothing about it and didn't really care. This \"hotel\" is a 3rd floor section of a large complex that is basically a box with a modern interior facade. Poor sound proofing. Moldy shower. You know the old saying \"you get what you pay for\". Not the case even though the rate was low for the location. We selected this for it's location to the interesting old parts of the city and a short walk to the marina area for a 20 hour stay before flying out of Naples and that was all true and good.

Fantastic stay in the heart of Naples!

Please fellow travellers, do NOT be deceived by the rather run down entrance and lift to this absolutely wonderful boutique hotel. It is on the third floor of a Neapolitan residence where people live and a lawyer has his office. The Santa Brigida has been designed and furnished by an architect in grey hues, I can better describe it with the words: smart casual. The location is fantastic: the seafront, Piazza del Plebiscito, the museum, San Severo, duomo, funiculars, all in walking distance. The beds are very comfortable and the showers state of the arts. Breakfast is a pleasant experience. Forget your traditional English or continental. There is plenty of good quality food, extremely well presented. The staff are very helpful and very welcoming.

4 Stars a stretch, but comfortable hotel

Ok hotel - small number of rooms on the 3rd or 4th floor of a building. Various size rooms...the single room I stayed in was compact, not much natural light and the shower quite tight - shower head set up was tricky to avoid water getting everywhere. Even the slightly larger double rooms I saw were on the small side. Room was clean, however. The hotel common spaces as well, were clean and updated, albeit again, without much natural light. The included breakfast left some to be desired, with pastries and some fruit selections...no hot meal. The location of the hotel was also a little questionable - arrived late at night (11pm) and thought about going out to grab a bit to eat, but were advised that it was not so safe. However I imagine that's typical of most of the areas of Naples given it's a city, not particular to this hotel. Overall worked for a brief stay, but clearly not 4 stars or worth four star pricing.

An incomplete experience

There is a saying 'People make the difference' And that is how we sum up our view of Hotel Santa Brigida. Warm, personal and very friendly indeed. The location is very central and close to several points of interest. The breakfast was \"boutique style\" r rather hand-crafted. Excellent experience. Only wish they could improve the air-conditioning. It turned off on it's own at night leaving us hot, stuffy & bothered.

Great staff, everything else not so much...

The staff was fantastic, but it's tough to sleep on a rock-hard bed with a strobing smoke detector in the center of the ceiling flashing so brightly that closing your eyes merely dimmed the effect. Between that and the noise from the street the experience is somewhat like trying to sleep in the middle of a nightclub. The AC was more of a suggestion than a reality and it was impossible to shower without flooding the entire bathroom. You might also want to bring your own roll of toilet paper as it seems to be in short supply and strictly rationed at the Santa Brigida.

The location is excellent . It is on a realtively quite street but right in the heart of old Napoli. Most sights are walking distance ( ie. The Castle nuovo, the Piazza ( royal palace), Santa Chiara etc). The room is very small by American standards , but well decorated and clean. We had booked two rooms , one was fine but one had small ants . We complained to the front desk personnel but he said that it was impossible that they came from the, since they cleaned with products daily , and said we must have brought them in. Which was unlikely since we discovered the ants within 1 hour of entering the room. Nonetheless the personnel were pleasant and attentive.

Loved this boutique hotel

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel in the heart of Naples in June. We wanted somewhere quirky, quiet and comfortable. This hotel fulfilled all our needs. The room had a great view of the busy shopping street and also of the Vesuvius - a pleasant suprise as we were in the most basic room.
It was clean, the size of the room was perfect and the balcony made you feel a part this busy city.
When the window panes and balcony doors were shut the room was perfectly quiet and serene.
Breakfast had lots of variety and also provided traditional tastes of the city. We loved the little plates and were never left hungry for more.
On one night we also asked for a restaurant recommendation and we were pleasantly suprised with the food quality and low cost of the meal we were recommended.
This hotel is also in the perfect position if like us you want Naples as your base for visiting the Amalfi coast, Pompeii, Sorrento and the islands. We made day trips from our hotel easily using the Metro (100m away) and the Circumvesuviana (rail).

Modern Hotel with Poor Natural Light

We were in Naples for just one evening before catching the ferry to the Amalfi Coast and stayed here based on the reviews and the hotel's proximity to the port. The hotel itself is fine--modern and clean with IKEA-like furniture--and the staff nice but the worst part about it was the lack of natural lighting. Our room was dark, the hallways were dark, and the breakfast area had no windows. Also, our shower was sort of pointless since the shower head sprayed the glass and we couldn't move it. The safe was teeny tiny. A handle flew off when we tried to open a drawer. In short, okay for one night due to convenience and a nice staff, but it's nothing to rave about.

Nice little hotel in centre of town

We were staying in Naples for 1 night on the way to Amalfi for a wedding, the area is a bit run down but very central so it was good. Arriving at the hotel was a bit confusing as the entrance wasn't really obvious, once we worked it out though it was great and felt very safe. The staff were really helpful and couldn't do enough to help with anything, they were warm and welcoming. The rooms were medium sized and bathroom was very nice although the glass wall between shower and room was not ideal as was holidaying with a friend not boyfriend, although it did make us laugh.
I would definitely stay again, it was a nice small hotel and felt very private, rooms were clean and service was great. We also got a leaving gift of some free pasta!

HSB is in an absolutely prime location, especially for someone familiar with Naples..the historical city center, Piazza del Plebiscito, all the bars and restaurants along Via Chiaia are within a few minutes walk, for everything else the funicular and metro stations are right at hand..
Great service, amazing breakfast for those of us requiring more of than a cappuccino and a corneto to start the day..the mattress could've been a little higher quality, and the modern open shower leaked some water on the floor, but all in all a highly recommended stay.

Clean, modern boutique hotel in great location

This hotel is located on the 4th floor of what appears to be an abandoned building (don't worry, there is a lift). Once you reach the 4th floor, you must be buzzed in by the front desk. You also have to return your room key every time you leave the building which was odd but not overly annoying as the staff was friendly and gracious. Besides, the added security is not totally unwarranted.
Rooms are very clean (tiny, of course) & styled in ultra modern decor which is slightly out of place in such a traditional Italian area but nice none the less.
Buyer Beware: for the shy types traveling with others, the bed faces the completely transparent shower.
Still, I would stay again if in the area.

Dont let the entrance fool you!!!

Its on the third floor of an old building with a scary entrance, but as soon as u r out of the elevator u discover a charming new clean hip hotel. Great location, in the safest area of capri (next to the bank street) Wonderful and helpful staff to serve only 11 rooms. Breakfast is very yummy but a bit excentric for somebody used to eggs and sausage type of daystarter!!!

Das Hotel ist definitiv kein 4-Sterne-Hotel, und es ist irreführend und unseriös, es als solches zu bewerben.
Das grenzt an Täuschung.

Das erste Zimmer, das mir zugewiesen wurde, war winzig und roch penetrant nach Frittierfett/Küchendunst, so stark, dass an Schlaf überhaupt nicht zu denken war.
Ich musste sofort um ein anderes Zimmer bitten.

Das gesamte Gebäude ist in einem deutlich heruntergekommenen Zustand.
Die Einrichtung wirkt improvisiert, billig und steht in keinem Verhältnis zu einem angeblichen 4-Sterne-Standard.

Die Zimmer haben absolut nichts mit den Fotos auf der Website zu tun.
Die Darstellung online ist schlichtweg irreführend und schafft Erwartungen, die in keiner Weise erfüllt werden.

Es ist unverständlich, wie dieses Hotel unter diesen Bedingungen weiterhin als 4-Sterne-Unterkunft geführt werden kann.
Das sollte dringend überprüft werden.

die Lage ist super, da Hotel zu finden ist recht schwierig, Eingang durch Garagentor und im Haus nichts ausgeschildert (3Etage), Deluxe Doppelzimmer ok, Frühstück war nicht ansprechend (hier haben wir nicht gegessen.

L'hôtel est bien placé, il est design, mais malheureusement il n'est pas entretenu.
Nous avions 1 douche défaillante, l'échangeur douche était manquant, nous avons demandé à avoir la douchette qui fonctionne, le personnel est arrivé avec 1 pince et a changé simplement le mode.
La déco des lettres en tête de lit est tout abîmée, les ampoules des lampes de chevet ne sont pas adaptées et éblouissent...et le petit déjeuner très insuffisant, et dans une pièce sans fenêtre. La literie n'est pas vraiment confortable.
Par contre le personnel est vraiment très serviable et gentil.

Hotel bem localizado, perto da Via Toledo, porém em um prédio bem antigo mas o quarto me atendeu bem porque eu só fiquei 1 noite. O hotel fica em um andar de um prédio e na entrada não tem nenhuma indicação que ali é o hotel. A entrada do prédio é bem bagunçada e um pouco abandonada. Eu indico esse hotel pela localização dele.
O atendimento da recepção foi maravilhoso. Uma única coisa que não funcionou bem foi o ar condicionado do hotel. Eu indico para uma curta viagem pela localização desse hotel.

Le personnel est vraiment très gentil. L’hôtel est dans une position idéale pour visiter la ville.
Points négatifs : le petit déjeuner n’est pas digne d’un 4 étoiles. Les produits proposés sont industriels sans aucun intérêt (c’est bien dommage) et la climatisation dans la chambre est à revoir.

Alors, lors de notre arrivée très tardive (vol détourné vers Rome et arrivés à 5h du matin au lieu de 23h) nous avons été assez surpris du hall, en effet, l’hôtel occupe le troisième étage d’un ancien immeuble cossu de Naples
La chambre nous a paru petite et la clim était bruyante, l’hôtel n’est pas un 4 étoiles de chez nous. Petit souci d’eau chaude le jeudi matin très vite réparé
Passé ces premiers constats, les gens composant le personnel de cet hôtel sont vraiment charmants et très à l’écoute quelle que soit l’heure de la journée
Le petit déjeuner est simple mais complet (merci pour le « doppio caffè 😊) servi par une personne très sympathique et souriante
L’hôtel est très très bien placé, plein centre des rues actives et proche du port pour les excursions
Nous avons eu droit à un cadeau de départ, très gentil
Franchement, je conseille cet hôtel qui est à l’image de Naples

Die Untetkunft liegt direkt in der Altstadt, d.h. sehr zentral, auch nicht weit weg vom Hafen.. Das Servicepersonal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Der Anblick des Hotels von Außen ist abschreckend, aber im Inneren ist es modern eingerichtet und sauber.

Unica nota negativa, come discusso con receptions e direttore, ma non risolta.. il parcheggio.
Avendo letto il servizio di park a pagamento ho telefonato la sera prima dell’arrivo per accertarmi del park e se necessario la prenotazione, ricevendo come risposta che non c’è problema.
Arrivato ho chiamato hotel x sapere nome park… sono andato lì, ma era al completo.
Ho richiamato hotel per sapere park alternativo.. e non ricevendo altri nominativi convenzionati ho trovato il primo park vicino.
La sorpresa è che questo park mi ha chiesto 50,00 euro al giorno (… in tutte le città o hotel mai trovato un costo così alto..), mentre quello convenzionato con hotel era di 25,00 euro.
In sintesi nei due giorni di permanenza ho fatto presente ai vari addetti alla reception ed al direttore di questo disservizio… ma dopo una serie di giustificazioni (.. che non è mai successo.. farò’ presente al parcheggio il rapporto che ha con il ns hotel.. o altro)..il park ho dovuto pagarmelo e quindi euro 100,00 invece di 50,00 euro.
Personalmente mi dispiace molto poiché viaggiando molto per lavoro in vari hotel in Europa…altre situazioni simili le hanno risolte in modo professionale risolvendo il disagio …senza polemiche!

L'Hotel è un po' nascosto e ci ho messo un po' a trovarlo. La posizione è però invidiabile, la pulizia e il personale sono ottimi, così come più che buona la colazione. Unico neo: le stanze avrebbero bisogno di una risistematina: diverse cose avrebbero richiesto qualche aggiustamento. Però, in conclusione, sicuramente da consigliare!

Hotellin sijainti on erinomainen. Aamupala oli hieman pettymys, ja hotellin rappukäytävän remontista olisi voinut mainita nettisivuilla. Se oli hieman ikävä, koska sementtipölyä tuli huoneeseen kenkien, laukkujen ym. mukana. Suihkun vesi valui pitkin lattiaa, mahtaako kosteuseristys olla kunnossa?

L’établissement est extrêmement bien placé, toutes les visites peuvent se faire à pied. Personnel attentif.
L’immeuble était en travaux, ascenseur minuscule et sale. Petits déjeuners absolument pas variés, mêmes aliments proposés 7 jours de suite, on s’en lasse vite ! Manque de fruits frais. Dans certaines chambres intimité impossible entre lit et sanitaires à cause des portes vitrées. Cet établissement correspond plus à un trois étoiles français.

No es normal que en un hotel de 4 estrellas no pongan ni shampu, ni hidratante y solo pongan jabón en el baño. En la habitación habían cables sin proteger en el techo y armario dando la sensación de estar inacabada o mal acabada la decoración. Los desayunos tampoco estaban a la altura de un hotel de esa categoría. Creo que le sobran estrellas al establecimiento.
