I had an amazing stay! The location is unbeatable right on the beach with easy access from the pool area, and having a bar just steps away was a huge plus. Even though there was a set check-in time, the staff accommodated me early, which allowed me to enjoy a full day of sun and beach time and spend more time visiting family.

The staff was helpful whenever I needed directions or assistance. My only minor concerns were that the room floor was a bit sandy and the bathroom could have been cleaned more thoroughly. Overall, for the price, the beachfront access and convenience made it well worth it. I would definitely stay here again!

Love the easy access to the beach, pool area was clean and large pool deck with lounge chairs. Pool staff are very helpful and friendly.
Young lady that checked us in was not so inviting or hospitable. If you are working with travelers, the first thing we want to see is an inviting smile- it’s vacation!
Other than that our room was clean when we arrived- nice remodel of the entire resort however it does have a weathered smell- it’s an old building. Parking is $30/day
I will return for another stay-cation!

I like the location near Collins Avenue. It was pet friendly. I brought my dog to hotel. Also the beach was good at hotel. The only thing that the hotel is old an it has a smell at lobby due to construction.

Overall my stay was okay, but I was a bit disappointed with the pool/bar amenities.
Negatives:
1. Construction was happening at the smaller area by the pool and it was obnoxiously loud and completely unbearable. I could not truly enjoy myself like I wanted to as a result of this. Also, it was NOT stated on their website that construction would be happening. Lastly, I told the hotel staff and the gentlemen stated it was on their site but that was and is false, because I checked multiple times and did not see anything. I even asked the AI 24/7 chat bot and it said “I could not find anything specific information regarding construction”, but that was not true since you can clearly hear and see the construction going on.
2. I attempted to order the “Marco Polo” drink but the bartender stated they “ran out” of the specific alcohol needed to make the drink and in my opinion that is poor inventory management.
Positives:
1. Pool was absolutely amazing and the water felt great and relaxing
2. The Pool Bar hamburger and fries was very good and flavorful.
Overall, the stay was not entirely terrible but the construction happening by the pool put a major damper on my trip. I came here to relax and get away not hear loud construction the whole time. hope management knows this was a major inconvenience and should care about the guests enough to find a better solution or inform guests before booking.

Front desk Jennifer upgraded our room for free. Beach was not as beautiful like Destine. But for an overnight stay with a huge pool and beach front that’s near in the Cruise terminal it’s worth it, book this Hotel you won’t regret it. You car is safe with Valet staff. It’s the Cheapest around the area but clean and good staff- that matters most to an overnight travellers like us! Thank you!

First room and entire lobby smelled like marijuana, not acceptable for my 5 year old son. Second room tv didnt work, floors were as sticky as a run down dive bar, shower didnt drain, restaurant was closed, pool under renovation. And to top it off, the day we left, i had to deal with a homeless man at the pool at 730 am asking for money, then argue with the valet to give me the keys to my truck in the front of the building i paid $50 to park for 1 night. I literally had to lock my truck with my phone to verify bc he lost the valet number for my keys after i presented my valet ticket. Cheap room, even worse hotel.

Marco Polo is always a good stay. The room was nice, but there was a bit of lingering aroma about the air. Like someone smoked in there 3 or 4 stays back, or like the john went unflushed for a day or two. We bought a can of Lysol, gave the place a spritz, and all was well again. The staff we interacted with were an excellent, amiable lot, a pleasure to be around. We stay at Marco Polo when we visit Gulfstream Park and will return again to Marco Polo next time we have a racing event to attend.

The hotel is dated the staff works hard to keep it clean and that is appreciated but the hotel needs some TLC also to replace the carpets for tile floors in the hallways and they need to not allow smoking of any sorts in the rooms as it’s unpleasant for those who don’t maybe invest in a smoking area easy to access and appealing. Also they should allow guest to bring their own snacks to the pool area or bring down their prices in the pool bar if we bought pizza at the yummy downstairs hotel pizza spot we couldn’t bring it to the pool area that’s no reasonable.

This hotel is like a motel on a highway during your road trip. Room was not ready upon our arrival, but they gave us a key and told to go downstairs when we called front desk. There is no service, they left a body wash bottle empty, second day no towels were left and they didn’t bring them up, we needed to go downstairs to get them. Constant running water in the toilet. We got stuck on an elevator on the 11th floor. Only cafe with chicken wings by the pool. Additional charge for chairs by the pool. Draws from the dresser falling out on your feet, rusted medicine cabinet in the bathroom, two dirty chairs…terrible

In the day, this was a grand hotel. It's totally worn out now and ready for a complete renovation. It will most likely be a tear down, though, for all the fancy new stuff going up around the area. The hotel was solid. I knew it wasn’t going to be as glamorous as the ones round it but it had a decent pool and great access to the beach. The pool had some construction around it which was a little annoying. The one thing that drove us crazy was the pool towel situation. One day we were out for 3 hours and could not get a towel. Then we couldn’t dry off to put sunscreen on or even go back inside. It was overall not a good experience.

Our stay was good for a weekend. We rented a two queen bed room but wish we knew that we could’ve had the option to select a balcony room. The site didn’t show any diff selections and at the hotel they said it would’ve cost more to get a room with a balcony a day later. The pool had some construction going on now when we were there.
