Lovely 3 star hotel in a great location, just a couple blocks from Place Comedie, is a quiet oasis The entire staff couldn’t be nicer and are all patient and gracious with my attempts to speak French. The breakfast is very nice too, with great coffee, delicious small pastries and local jams and honey. We will definitely stay here again and recommend to our friends when visiting Montpelier

This is a tiny hotel chosen for its outstanding location by the center of historical Montpellier. Restaurants and important sites and with very close walking distance, and the tram is also close by. The small size means amenities are few, but my room itself was spacious and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Important note: there is no elevator so one must handle stairs, but the staff readily handled taking luggage to my room. I’ll definitely come back.

This is a most charming and quaint hotel, perfect for our 9 day stay in Paris. The staff were most helpful and very friendly. The hotel offers comfort and little extra benefits including a quiet inner garden also a sitting/ reading area.Definately reccomnend a stay here.

We absolutely loved this hotel and especially our room. It is close to the Place de la Comédie and so there are tons and tons and tons of walkable dining, bistro and bar options. The only downside is the absolute immediate street and cross street. It’s not unsafe, but a little noisy and dirty. The staff here was super nice, and we would definitely stay here again. The room was very spacious and beautifully decorated.

Tried to charge me to clean the sheets, without any knowledge of this, i got charged due to an accidental stain.

Received breakfast room service, food was stale and unsatisfactory.

Very loud noises from outside and upstairs hotel rooms.

Tried to charge us for a bottle of water from the mini bar, in which was not taken from at all.

The only good thing, was the jetted bathtub and location.

i stayed here for three nights in April 2024, and would highly recommend it. It has a great location, approx' 50 yards from the main square, place de la Comedie. The hotel is compact, but very well set out... my room was small and functional, with a great size TV, and a small balcony. The staff where very polite and helpful , and the room costs where very nice.

Small boutique no-frills hotel. Friendly staff. Excellent location in close proximity to shops, restaurants. No elevator and steep steps to rooms, but staff were very helpful in taking bags to room. No amenities in room (fridge, kettle, water, glasses) and breakfast only on site. Rooms were small and clean. Hotel is suitable for exploring, less so for lounging, however the breakfast area with the sun roof is a lovely option.

A wonderfully comfortable and convenient location for a visit to Montpellier. The staff were exceptionally friendly and courteous, and the breakfast ample and delicious. Easy access to Place de la Comedie, a short walk to Antigone, and easy walk to many fine restaurants. An apt reflection of the qualities of the city of Montpelier.

We loved this quiet and quaint hotel. The original architecture is beautiful. High ceilings, wide curved staircase with wrought iron railing, beautiful wood doors, etc. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast in the morning was wonderful. We will be back of we are ever in Montpellier again.

This is a very quaint hotel near restaurants and bars. Parking is away from hotel but just a short walk. Staff very friendly and helpful. No lifts so you have to carry your bags up the stairs. Our room was on the ground floor with a spa bath. Had a hand held shower head not a normal shower

We loved the staff and the property. They accommodated us with a handicapped room because we can not climb stairs easily because of our advanced age.

They directed us to a nearby parking garage which offered a discount to patrons of the hotel.

The hotel is in a very convenient area, close to Comedie Opera and the Polygone Shopping Center, lots of restaurants also nearby.

The owners and staff were lovely, friendly, helpful, informative. The rooms have thick walls so you don't hear anyone in the other rooms. 1 minute walk to restaurants, shops, trams and easy walking distance to lots of the attractions. I think the place is overrated - looks much more used and dingy than in the photos. It has old carpet-type floors and the room and all the bedding smelt stale like wet dog. It was however visually clean, and the staff were very friendly. I only stayed one night so didn't bother to complain about the smell - not sure what they could have done though.

Cute, clean hotel in a central location. What really stands out is the service, though. The staff went above and beyond to make the guests feel comfortable. Fresh homemade breakfast was served like a restaurant by the generous hosts. What really impressed me, though, was when I left an expensive item behind, they had it shipped to my home in Canada the next day. Truly a delight to stay here. It has my highest recommendation for anyone staying in Montpellier!

Superb - pity about the room!

The cramped room and ensuite shower-room were a big disappointment. (I'm sure I was unlucky). The service was excellent as was the breakfast and the location is ideal for train-users and its proximity to the central Place de Comédie and Tourist Office makes it an ideal choice. However, five nights in such a room brought my holiday in the region to a frustrating end.

What a charming hotel! Just a block off of Place de la Comedie, so a short walk to everything but on a very quiet block. Our room was lovely, and the hosts are just delightful and wonderful to give local recommendations. I needed to book another stay in Montpellier and booked here again - and will always come back here if I am back in Montpellier. Protip: If you are coming from the airport, take a taxi, not Uber -- Uber will drop you quite far away, at least if you are walking with luggage, and have to encounter many steps and it isn't clear where you are going. Taxis come right to the door! Enjoy Hotel d'Aragon!

Quiet, comfortable room but needed black out blinds as street lights shining through curtains as we were on ground floor. Would have been useful to have somewhere to hang towels to dry after use as no rails or pegs for this.

Lovely little boutique hotel in a relatively quiet street which is literally 2 minutes from the heart of centre ville.

Clean, large rooms and bathroom, working AC and they have a deal with the parking garage near by (ask the reception and the will give you a stamp for a reduced fee).

The service is also great and very helpful. Overall, highly recommend for anyone looking to visit Montpellier.

Bed and bedding amongst the best we have experienced in a month acrosss Europe.
Spacious room, very nice bathroom.
Best of all the location is in the heart of the town, with restaurants all around, yet on a side street so it's quiet.
No elevator but our room was just one floor up.
Reception (Dec 6-8) was friendly and very helpful
We came during a train strike & had to hop a Flixbus last minute from Marseille, which left us at the Sabines tram stop. So easy to get to the hotel, tram stop Comedie is just two blocks from the hotel.
Def recommend!
Much better value than the Ibis next door!

Cozy French hotel in the heart of the city

This hotel is a gem. It's located within minutes to the heart of Montpelier. The staff was incredible. They were so welcoming. Breakfast was an excellent value and had the best croissants and coffee that I can remember having in any hotel. The room was comfortable with nice linens and fluffy towels The decore is so French with a lovely personal touch. I will definitely return.

Good location near the central square and friendly, helpful staff. However, there were some negatives. The room was gloomy and the furnishings cheap. At night, it was either stuffy, if you closed all the windows, or noisy, if you didn't.
Breakfast was fresh and filling but cost an extra 72 E over three days. This made the price expensive overall, especially comparec to the excellent place we had stayed in Albi.

Perfect for our needs

My husband and I only spent one night here in order to get a good night's sleep after a transatlantic flight, but we were very pleased. The hotel was quiet, comfortable, within walking distance of the train station. The men who run the hotel were friendly and helpful, making reservations at a nearby restaurant for us, and giving us directions to a local store where I could pick up some forgotten items. The hotel was also situated within walking distance of Montpellier's interesting sites and while we did not have a lot of time nor energy to visit them in depth, we did enjoy walking around the old part of the city before dinner. (We checked in in the afternoon and wanted to adjust body clocks quickly to French time, so we just kept going until bedtime.) Breakfast the next morning was a standard French breakfast and all of the breads, jams, yogurts, etc were very tasty and much appreciated.

There's nothing bad I can say about the hotel. The room was comfortable, we slept well, the staff very good and helpful, the continental breakfast very tasty. The hotel has an agreement with the nearest car park which greatly reduces the fees (other hotels should consider this if they don't have their own parking). The hotel has a great position and very quiet. It sounds brilliant.
But......it was a bit like staying in someone's home. It is small (12 bedrooms) and, apart from the spacious room, the only other communal room was the breakfast room, with space for 5 or 6 tables, there was nothing else. There was free Wi-Fi, or was there? My son had to stand in our open doorway to get anything approaching a signal. However, a net book was supplied, but that's not the same as a 15 year old being able to use I-pad and phone. The only other strange thing was there was no shower curtain or screen - but we managed.
I'm not complaining, it is a very good hotel and, if you prefer small and personal, this is the hotel for you.

Relaxed, small hotel in the heart of Montpellier

Hotel location is excellent, within walking distance of Montpellier centre. Our room was clean and bright, having 3 windows/balconies. The bed was very comfortable although street lighting woke us several times - the room could do with black-out blinds or shutters. Cleanliness was excellent and the staff very pleasant. Breakfast choice was limited and proved expensive, but on the whole our stay was very enjoyable and we would recommend it.

The Hotel d'Aragon is well located in a quiet side street a couple of blocks away from the Place de la Comedie in central Montpellier. The rooms are compact but comfy with good bathrooms. Breakfast was good (if pricy compared to the town centre cafes). Staff were very friendly and helpful. Note that there is no lift to the bedroom floors.

My stay in Hotel d'Argon was lovely. The gentleman at the reception was very welcoming, had all the paperwork ready and provided an excellent orientation and tour of the hotel, as well as recommendations for restaurants and such. The room itself was very pleasant, although not terribly large if one worries about that sort of thing (I don't) and the bathroom was clean, fully updated and the shower could easily accommodate tall individuals (6 ft ). Importantly, while only a block from Place de la Comedie, which was very busy on the Saturday night I was there, no noise at all reached the hotel, so my rest was undisturbed, even sleeping with the windows open. My only \"complaint\", and it is a minor one, is that the rooms did not have a lot of charm. So while clean, comfortable and well appointed, it was simply a pleasant room instead of being a charming one. Minor in the grand scheme of things.

A perfect base for exploring Montpellier

The hotel is in a great location, just a few steps from La Comedie but quiet and peaceful (except for the roadworks that were happening just outside while we were there). Staff are friendly and helpful, the room is a good size and has plenty of personal touches. Nice big bathroom, an amazing shower and big fluffy towels. All in all, a great hotel and we'll be sure to return.

Hotel d'Aragon very convenient location

Hotel is small, boutique, two minutes away from beautiful Place de la Comedie. Also, about a 10-15 minute walk to the train station. Good location on a quiet street. Very clean room; large, clean marble bathroom. Only problem - could not figure out how to make the air conditioning work and no one on duty 24 hours. You need your room key to open the front door to the hotel, so If you left your key in your room and locked yourself out of the hotel, no clue how you'd get in. Small, not fancy, but clean with a good location.

Super sejour dans l'hotel Aragon le personnel est aux petits soins, l'hotel est bien situé, et le petit déjeuner tres bon. J'ai en plus beneficie d'un surclassement donc j'etais ravie.
