We stayed for one night on our drive back to Barcelona. The hotel was serviceable and was good for a one night stay. The location (Montpellier Center) is a little misleading. It was a bit of a drive from Place Polygone/Comedy Square. It in a quiet residential neighborhood with little activity. I would recommend this hotel if you are not able to find a spot closer to the center ville.

For a 3 star hotel, this place is just an amazing stop in Montpellier. Quiet, plenty of parking, great staff and great open hours, excellent location for any thing in town either in \"new \" and \"old\" town. Spacious room and bathroom and coffee facility in the room

The staff was kind and caring, front desk to housekeeping. We are English speaking and they are mostly French speaking but brought all their English to the table to welcome us, answer questions and help us learn to get around in Montpellier. Highly recommend this quaint and comfortable hotel.

Average hotel with friendly staff. EV charging is for 1 car but they do have 2 spots so when 1 is done you can start charging your car. Also, parking is underground and secure.
The beds are a bit hard and pillows flat but the location is good and again as I mentioned, staff is very friendly.

COMPUTER & EARBUDS STOLEN FROM ROOM--LIKELY STAFF

Computer STOLEN out of my room along with two pair of Apple earbuds. I was out of my room for approximately 30 minutes for breakfast. During that time, my room was entered and my laptop and earbuds were STOLEN. I did not realize until I was at my next destination and called the hotel immediately.

There is zero possibility that the theft occurred at any other time. ZERO. I cannot imagine a scenario where this was not orchestrated by staff, however, that part I cannot prove. (I suppose someone could have scaled the outside wall and come through the window on the SECOND FLOOR with no balcony or outer window sill, James Bond-style. You can decide if that seems likely.)

I called the hotel several times with no response from the owner. Legitimately feels like a racket.

But the room looked no way near what was displayed at the advertise. Quite dard, no balcony and a canopy that couldn't be retracted.
A cuite narrow space for hanging coats etc and only 1 shelf to put your close on.
So all in all not an impressive hotel

Although this is firmly a 3-star hotel in terms of the rooms, etc., it is in the very top of that category. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, everything was clean and neat, and the room furnishing were tasteful and high-quality. There were those nice things like hooks and places to put things that makes a room feel like it was made for inhabiting and that someone had taken the time to think about how someone would actually use the room.

Location was great, terrace was lovely, perfect place to stay if you're in town for a few days.

The hotel is located in a great location which is a 10 minute walk to the city center. It also located in a nice quiet neighborhood. The rooms were nice with a mini bar. No iron in the room but this may be more of a normal thing as I am not a seasoned traveler. The staff were always friendly and welcoming and the cafe in the morning was always our first stop to fuel up for the day. If returning to the area I would choose Hotel Ulysse for sure.

An independently-owned hotel with secure underground parking in a quiet location within a ten-minute walk to all the facilities of the buzzing city centre. All the staff we met were delightful, making guests feel like individuals and offering useful information about local facilities.

The location is a little hard to find, being tucked away in a residential area, although there are helpful signs on the approaches. Follow these rather than your satnav if you're driving! The outlook from the rooms is not particularly impressive, but internally they are well equipped, spacious and scrupulously clean. Buffet breakfast, while a little on the expensive side, is excellent and platters are continuously renewed.

All in all, a thoroughly professionally run establishment which deserves to prosper.

The service was amazing!! All the staff was very helpful, friendly and polite.
The location is not fantastic but adequate ... it is quite and it is pretty close to the public transportation and the tourist area without being in the tourist area.
Unfortunately in seems like there are mosquitos and people have kill them on the walls and they have not been cleaned from the walls but other ways it is kept well.

Lovely welcome and helpful information about layout of historic centre of Montpellier, sympa places to eat. Very good shower. Lift to both upper storeys and basement. Nice quiet area but very handy for short walk into centre. Didn't have breakfast as a bit steep at 13 euros. As it was Sunday we could park on the street for free. Parking would otherwise have been approx 13 euros in the basement, more on the street.

Convenient hotel around local residential estate

This is a great small local hotel so near to the old town of Montpellier with just a short walk of 10mins to Polygone and Corum. The reception was so friendly and helpful and always a delight to have her around. The only thing we were too pleased was the cleaner was visibly upset one day when my wife asked if she could have another hour for her to finish her work before the cleaner comes clean the room and that was around 2pm. We left the room within 10-15 mins thereafter and I smiled at her but she was rather upset . Room has always been very clean and today however

I went to Montpellier to visit my daughter, and Hotel Ulysse was the perfect place to stay! The room was nicely outfitted and comfortable. Having a terrace was unexpected and very pleasant. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were so nice and accommodating. Also, the location was perfect - a quiet neighborhood within easy walking distance to the Comèdie, with the Corum tram stop just around the corner. I would definitely stay again!

Well-staffed, very friendly, comfortable hotel recently renovated to a high standard. Reception staff provided useful information for our first visit to the city. The hotel is In a quiet, residential area within 5 minutes walk of lively pedestrianised city centre with buzzy atmosphere, nice restaurants & bars tucked away in little squares dotted about the \"centre historique\". Hotel has good, secure underground parking at reasonable cost.

The hotel had air conditioning which was wonderful as the weather was very hot and very few hotels in France have air conditioning or fans.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful - even took the time to show me on the map how to get to the best places to visit in Montpellier - everything was in walking distance from the hotel.
The room was very clean and comfortable and even had a bar fridge with a selection of drinks at very reasonable prices.

We stayed in a triple room with our 12 year old son and loved the experience. First we thought it was far from the center, but when we got to know the way it took 5 minutes to get to Corum and the another 5 minutes to Place de la Comedia.
Breakfast was very nice. The staff extremely helpful and friendly.

I booked Hotel Ulysses Montpellier as an overnight stay for our adult family of three. The hotel is a little difficult to find even though we had a satnav in the car. It appears to look more like an American motel that hasn't been updated in the recent past. I will say that the room was clean and the price wasn't bad. The room itself was quite small for the three of us with a queen bed and a single bed. The bath was small with a shower that worked well. Parking is below the hotel and its entrance was tight for our rental car and the spaces were small as expected but reasonably priced. The location seemed a bit odd feeling as though it wasn't near the city center. However, after a four block walk the outskirts of the city center was reached. My wife felt very uncomfortable with beggars approaching her when she returned on her own to the hotel. Neither I nor my adult daughter felt this on that evening. The next day we all walked to the actual city center and discovered how nice Montpellier is.

A little boutique hotel, very centrally located if you are attending a conference at Le Corum, as we were. The great asset of this place is the delightful staff, who really go all out to help you have a nice stay, and recommend places to eat in the neighborhood, etc. Highly recommended.

I stayed here the night before flying out of Toulouse, and found it comfortable and extremely convenient, with easy access to downtown by tram and even easier access to the airport. The staff was friendly, the breakfast good, the room comfortable (the carpet had an area that was not totally clean -- otherwise, the room was immaculate).

Hotel located in a quiet area but with easy access to Montpellier city centre.
Our room was very comfortable and breakfast was well presented and tasty and we were able to eat in the garden each morning. We were invited to help ourselves to fruit from the apricot tree growing in the garden. The reception staff could not have been more helpful when we faced a serious medical emergency and they individually went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Also, the reception staff helped us reorganise our transport to the airport when the trains were on strike.

Ulysse is in a residential neighborhood, so the pros are: quiet, easy to park, very reasonable room price, warm welcome. The cons are: a long walk or tram ride everywhere, not much in atmosphere, so-so breakfast for E12.50 and no alternatives in the area. But, we made Montpellier our base for exploring the area, and Ulysse fit the bill just fine.

This was a visit to Montpellier for a conference - the hotel can make or break a trip. In this case it was ideal - within walking distance of the conference venue. The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful, providing maps and directions as well as recommendations for restaurants. A very enjoyable stay.

Surprising additional costs on checkout

When checking out I was informed that I have to pay for breakfast and for parking. Nothing was mentioned before. The website mentioned breakfast with no cost. I called a day before to check about parking and no cost was mentioned. After a long argument they took payment for breakfast and not for parking.

L acceuil a l hotel est vraiment sympa et souriant . Je suis arrivée l après midi . J aime cet hôtel car ils ont su garder des détails qui comptent comme une vraie clé et non pas ces cartes magnétiques qui ne fonctionnent jamais , le gâteau maison au petit déjeuner , la proposition de conserves de qualité si on ne veut pas ressortir pour dîner , les petites bouteilles d eau et café dans la chambre . Le fait d avoir un parking fermé est un plus aussi .

Da vi ankom 17.7. Om eftermiddagen blev vi checket ind af den sødeste kvinde der gav virkelig gode anbefalinger til restauranter. Rengøringen var fantastisk. Men nogle af de øvrige der sad i receptionen samt styrede morgenmaden var lidt unge og virkede lidt irriterede på/over gæsterne.
