We didn’t stay. The property was dated and dirty.

It was extremely complicated and difficult to find the parking garage. Staff provided very limited and unclear instructions. We also have to ring the doorbell in the garage for the staff to open the door for us to access the hotel elevator; one time we were ringing the bell for good 15 minutes, but no one came to open the door. We were trapped at the garage level for awhile. The garage smelled like pee. We told the staff afterwards about the situation—they just shrugged! Totally unacceptable and unprofessional.

We came to Montpellier for a wedding celebration and we intentionally booked ibis centre comedie for its convenient walkable distance, and easy access as well as central location... our stay was nothing but smooth and comfortable and the front line team, were all super helpful, hats down to \"Paula\" from the front line team, who always went the extra mile to make sure our family gathering is happening in the best circumstances plus all guests were well set. This was not our first stay in Montpellier nor in Ibis, and my only comment is that the hotel is due for some refurbishment and if I had a recommendation, would be for house keeping to be more precise in their work... but none of above was a breaker to our holiday and celebration and now Ibis comes with memories .

Every single staff member was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was constantly replenished. The reception area was welcoming, cool and spacious. The rooms need a little updating, more specifically the bathrooms. The location of this hotel is perfect.

Decor was awful and rather tired, and area outside main entrance rather awkwardly on a paved slope and tucked away from view. Towels rather skimpy. However - hotel was very clean and well run, room was spacious and comfortable, staff were lovely, and central position in pedestrian area was excellent with station, trams, restaurants, museums and the Esplanade ( plane trees, fountains, bars and cafés) just a few minutes walk away. Plus the breakfast buffet was ample, fresh and good quality each morning. We enjoyed our stay in Montpellier.

Hotel is doing the bare minimum in most areas. Rooms are large but spartan with tacky posters describing “services.” Overall sort of grimy feeling to everything. Example - they needed to make a change to the floor map in the elevator, so they used white-out to cover the incorrect info and to draw in the new … tacky. Special note - if you’re coming from the train station, there is an entrance on the mall level, but it’s a little hard to find, then you have to take the elevator down to reception - otherwise you have to walk around the block to get to the entrance.

Aside from being a really ugly building, the hotel is OK. Hallway carpets are filthy but the room was clean, and everything worked ok. Good enough bed. Location is perfect for the central walking neighborhood and the train station. Entrance can be confusing to find, but it's there.

We were really pleased with our stay here. The staff were very friendly and helpful which we always appreciate when travelling with a 6 month old baby. The elevators were big enough for a pram as well which isn't always the case. There was a water cooler in reception which was very handy as it was a warm day while we were there. The gentleman on reception very kindly helped us heat our food for tea, and there was the use of a fridge to store some food overnight.
The fact that the staff all spoke fluent English was massively helpful, I can speak some French but not really enough, and it just makes our stay so much easier.
On the morning of checkout, we checked out early to go an catch our train but found our train was cancelled, but the hotel were very helpful in allowing us to check back in to the room for a few hours while we waited for the next train, again this was very helpful with a baby who needed to nap.
The location is also great being near the main square so a pleasant walking tour is easy to do.
The fact that the staff all spoke fluent English was massively helpful, I can speak some French but not really enough, and it just makes our stay so much easier.

The staff was amazing! Friendly, helpful. The hotel is a bit old and smells very weird. The bathrooms were ok. The lights flicker violently before turning on so it makes for an unpleasant entry. The AC didn’t work too well but opening the window is limited. And when we did, we got hit by mosquitos. The hotel is attached to a dilapidated strip mall type area. But it was very close to where we wanted to explore. Parking is available and cheaper through the hotel.

Parking is also a joke. The entrance is 1.9m high. Any bigger SUV or VAN doesnt fit, and the next parking area that can take bigger cars is 1km away.
Last but not least: the employees use the hotel drive way, which is supposed to be for guessed/taxis to drop off/pick up people, for their own cars, so that there is essentially no space left for the guests or taxis.

This ibis is a favourite hotel of my husband and me. The staff are wonderfully welcoming, nothing is too much trouble for them, and they make us feel special.
The rooms are more spacious than in many ibis hotels, with a sofa as well as the standard ibis divinely comfortable bed. Always spotlessly clean. Good bathroom and shower, with great liquid soap and shampoo provided in large eco friendly pump bottles.

Your typical Ibis facilities. What you see is what you get however, much like many of the Ibis hotels, it could really do with a spruce up. The bathroom in particular, dated and tired. Old, knackered flooring, shower which may give the impression of not being spotlessly clean...

The location is fantastic, only a two-minute walk from the beautiful Place De la Comedie. The breakfast provided by the hotel is very good and generously left out until noon. While there wasn’t much in the way of hot food options, the meats, cheeses, croissants and baguettes made up for it. The cleaning staff was very much on top of things. On two days in a row, when I first left my room, it was clean when I got back to the hotel about two hours later.

The hotel is very central - right next to the big main square, basically on the transition between the older part of town and the new modern part. It's an efficient, corporate hotel, without much character, but convenient and welcoming; we had a spacious, comfortable room, nice and clean bathroom, and the staff was professional. Good location close to Place de la Comédie. Communal areas are stylish, rooms though are quite dated (wood chip wall paper). We had to move rooms because the air con didn’t work in our first room. In the second it was marginally better. We were overlooking the Polygone area, around 25 degrees outside and sunny. The air con struggle to cope and any hotter and it would have been unconfortable. Service was basic without being good. Train strikes were planned on our day of departure and no help on how best to get back to Beziers airport (actually quoted us €200 for a taxi, with Uber it was actially €87!).

Just a room with a counter where you have to call receptionist over to be served. Glass of Kronenbeurg €6. Bought a tea, the guy poured water in a cup and put it in a microwave to heat up.. staff nice.

The room was bigger than the other Ibis hotels I have stayed in. Also, it was very clean. The hotel is located 5 minutes away from the Jean d'Arc station, which is only 2 stops from Jean Jaures.
