The staff were absolutely amazing and went above and beyond. I love the decor and the Italy vibe this hotel gives. I also like the convenience of the hotel being extremely close to the beach and shops. The city view was amazing and the beach view was pretty. The only thing that I could critique is the mold in the shower area, the smell the A/C unit gives off, and the sheets seemed to be overly used and could use a newer set. Other than that, everything was great.

Stayed here on a recommendation…..last recommendation I take from that person. The rooms were tiny, the bathroom was barely big enough to turn around in and smelled very dingy. If you do stay here, request a room that isn’t on the alley side of the building, dumpsters are emptied each morning around 6:30ish and the slamming around is impossible not to sleep through. The AC didn’t really cool the room down either. On a bright note, all of the staff at the hotel were great but that was it. Wouldn’t stay here again.

We loved the location and that it was to the quieter side of the strip. The bed was comfortable and we also appreciate that we couldn't hear guests from the room next door or the room across from us.
We didn't like the bathroom in our room. It was extremely small and a sliding door for the shower would have been a better design than being on a hinge. We had to navigate getting into the shower without getting the floors wet as well as not getting burn from the hot water as the temperature would fluctuate.
Apart from this issue I would recommend this property. It was a nice stay.

Excellent place to stay right near the heart of South Beach. It's just about a block from all the action, so it's fairly quiet and convenient. Traveled with a baby and everything went smoothly. The boutique is small, but has a lot of personality and style. It's near a 24 hour Walgreens, and tons of restaurants, including a delicious sandwich place that's open until 5am. And about a 2 minute walk to the beach (the hotel provides chairs, towels, and umbrellas).

I really hate writing this unfavorable review. However in this economy, I would be wrong if I didn’t share my experience which could save another person some money. The only complement to my stay was the staff and location, this was the only good thing about Eurowinter Haven Miami. For simplicity sake read my bullet list
- first assigned room was damp and smelled of mildew
- assigned another room which had evidence of someone else biological waste on toilet. I cleaned myself after staff provided me with gloves and cleaning spray
- the bathroom including the floor and walls were not just dirty but had sticky residue ( trying to not gross anyone out)
- twice I was awaken at 6am and 2am from construction noise: machinery noise
- when I made staff aware the noise subsided
- no where on Hotel website or Expedia website is there any prior notification or disclosure of hotel construction. I was made aware after I signed hotel contract and received first room key
- management declined to offer me compensation of hotel stay. But offered me “ discount for next stay”…As if I would ever be incline to stay again

I've stayed at Winter Haven several times, it is a nice hotel if you want to stay in this part of Miami Beach. Friendly staff and a good restaurant. There are other options but it comes with a price tag.

Really great staff. Definitely a lot older than what we expected but still very comfortable. Honestly my only complaint would be the size of the shower, and that's really not a big deal. We stayed only 1 night since we were leaving for a cruise the next morning. We completely forgot it was spring break but it didn't effect us. Rooms were sound proof. Food at the restaurant was pricey but decent.

Perfect location for visiting the beach. Beach chairs and towels included in your stay, you have to pay extra for an umbrella though. They even have bikes you can borrow. The hotel itself is wonderful and the staff was excellent - so accommodating! They do spray some sort of scent in the rooms, which is a bit overpowering for some, but they helped us find a different room and used the ozone machine on it to negate some of the scent. The same girl that helped us at check in with this made sure to find us the next day to make sure we had a good stay. Can't say enough wonderful things about the staff!

Despite being in an older building, everything is in great condition—no unpleasant odors, mold, or issues with water pressure. Allowed us very quick early check in and held our luggage until our room was ready as our flight arrived very early in the morning. Mattress and pillows on the bed is not very comfortable but room is clean and I love the shampoo and conditioner they provide. Steps from the beach and they provide chairs and beach towels. The room was perfect for a one night stay before we board our cruise ship. We would stay again.
