The Marlin Hotel is a quaint, boutique type hotel. We had a premier corner suite and enjoyed it. Both guys at the lobby desk were excellent and very accommodating. Location is very convenient to access Ocean Drive attractions. Would stay there again for sure.

Hotel is in a great location. As much money as this hotel makes..they need to update. My tv didn't work..the front desk guy got frustrated after working on 35 mins..He decided he would take a resort fee night off..which is a whole different story. You will pay deposit and resort fee.But great location to everything.

Pros: Everything was perfect and I am severely picky. The front desk associates were extremely nice. They all deserve a raise!!! and it is just a 4 minute walk to where Versace’s house is located! The cleanliness of the room was perfection. Whoever cleans that place is God-sent because it feels and smells great! Parking is in a garage just at end of block. Felt super safe, and the restaurant is Authentic Italian and the prices were fair. Huge shower!!!! Could fit 3 in there hahaha. Loved the King size bed!

Want to go to the beach? Just 4 minute walk! Want lounge chairs? They provide them for you!

Cons: No pool. No hot tub. No work out room. No entertainment.

Final thoughts: I’m 39, and I would stay here every time. I love pools and hot tubs, but cleanliness is what I desire and it’s quiet… slept great every night.

Walking in thru the restaurant was odd when it was busy.
Having to pay the \"amenities fee\" per day instead of per night was annoying since we couldn't check in until an hour before sunset on the 1st day, and because we had to check out by noon on the last day. We did not use beach chairs either of those days, but still we're charged for them.

Otherwise, it was a clean & pleasant place with interesting history just 2 blocks off the beach.

We were there during Christmas and it was a great experience from start to finish. The check in was smooth and they were accommodating of an early check-in. The hotel location is perfect for South Beach. The room and building were very clean. The food at the hotel restaurant was amazing and did get a discount as a hotel guest. I do recommend the stay here and will choose to stay again at the hotel. Overall a smooth and wonderful experience!

That said, the $36 daily fee for “wifi, beach towels, and water bottles” felt unreasonable. I was in town for work, so I didn’t use the beach towels and the one small 8oz water bottle provided each day was barely enough.

Despite booking months in advance, I was given a room facing an alleyway with people taking calls all evening long. I was also disappointed that the hotel wouldn’t honor their Black Friday rate, which left me paying about 30% more for the stay.

Both tvs were older so you couldn’t connect them to Netflix etc. we wanted to watch a movie and sadly could not. Well appointed good size room. Nice decor. Friendly and helpful staff. Very good high end restaurant for lunch and dinner. No breakfast is available at all. This was the only negative of this otherwise beautiful and well located hotel.

Such a good hotel! It’s a hidden gem near everything. Even has a restaurant that you get 15% off bc you are staying. Food was SOO good. Drinks on point. Hallway and rooms gave grown and sexy vibes and smelled luxury. Really good place. Will stay again

The hotel is lovely the location is great, but beware you will get charged an amenities charge per day of $36 per night and this is not optional, this pays for coffee pods water WiFi etc for the room, just left a slightly sour taste for what is otherwise a lovely hotel in an amazing area
