2 nights of hell

2 night stay both nights terrible. First night given “last room in hotel”, which had a broken drain and spent the night with sickening sewage smell. I did not complain and was given another room. The room was fine but at 3:30am a tapping noise from aircon or pipes started and no sleep. I had to leave noisy room after 2 hours and sit in reception from 5:00am. 2 nights of hell. Location good and nice gym and pool on the roof. Breakfast dreadful. Reception staff unhelpful.

Excellent location, swimming pool open from 10am to 6pm in winter. Decent choice for breakfast.
The hotel has reduced single use plastic a lot since I stayed last year. For example you slice butter off a huge block rather than take a tiny plastic container. I am very impressed.

- the skirtings of the wall are not as clean as the rest, therefore 4 stars \"only\"

Avoid if you’re looking for modern well kept rooms

Rude gentleman at front of desk. Had to ask directions for parking and got a very vague response. Luckily I knew the area reasonably well or I’d still be driving in circles.

The hotel, all though a bit old, is clean and in a good location. Most staff were firendly. Breakfast could use a little shakeup, as it gets tiring eating the same things 7 days in a row.

One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. The room was very uncomfortable and the beds are horrific. The food in the hotel is, generally, awful. Dinner is especially terrible with poor service. Hotel staff are also quite strange in their manner and interactions with customers.

Good choice on a budget. Book with confidence!

Stayed here for 9 nights with full board. Best decision taken! Vast variety of good and tasteful food everyday, kind hotel staff, clean and cozy rooms, average internet connection, roof top bar and lounge is super! There is also a game room, a gym, a pool and a sauna. The hotel is also located at 100 metres from the beach, there are also a lot of bars and restaurants nearby and there is a safe underground public parking not so far from its location. Totally recommend it! Book with confidence!

The hotel is of old Spanish style, with great location. Decent breakfast, with a lot of choices. Rooms are okay, however, we only had 2 plugs in a room of 3, which we found annoying. Cleaning was alright, however, there was always a lack of towels. Overall, not too bad, worth the money

Hotel is in a convenient location rekatively close to everything Lad Palmas and surrounding area has to offer. The room was reasonable but the bed unfortunately uncomfortable. We were on half board package and the breakfast was pretty good but dinner, whilst OK, was certainly not imaginative ion inspiring and seemed fairly basic. Wine prices were reasonable.

No kettle and no fridge and 503 room was opposite lift also 5th floor had the bar so very busy, so it was very noisy. I suppose it would be ok for those who use a bar and drink alcohol.
Lifts very slow.

Great location - hotel could do with a revamp

I wouldn't class Hotel Astoria as a 3 star establishment. As soon as you enter the hotel you can see that it needs a spruce up as it is rather dated. On the other hand, the welcome I received from the reception was indeed 5 star. He was friendly, helpful and kind as were the other members of staff I had the pleasure of meeting. My room was really dark and drab but clean which is the main thing as I wasn't planning on spending my time in my room. What brought the room (and entire stay) down was how paper thin the walls were. I could hear every time my neighbour used the bathroom. On 2 evenings I could hear them snoring through the walls and one morning instead of been awoken by my alarm, instead it was a banging from the floor above. What I missed in the form of a balcony was rectified by the rooftop area - which had plenty of seating and sun beds. The location of the hotel is great, less than 5 minutes and you're on the Playa which has so many places to eat and drink, I didn't eat dinner in the hotel but had the breakfast which was okay.

Decent hotel in a rough location

I regularly stay in The Astoria and it's a good, budget hotel with a decent breakfast buffet. The surrounding area has never been particularly salubrious (there is what appears to be a migrant's hostel opposite), however it is now becoming very 'rough'. I saw women openly soliciting right outside the hotel and drug addicts passed out on the pavement to the side of the hotel. It's not a problem for me staying there alone, however I think it's not really suitable for families.

Quite nice, but could be better

The room was not very exclusive, but quite clean. The room service cleaned it every day. Hotel is located close to the beach and highway. 20 minutes to the airport. There's no parking space in front of the hotel, it was hard to park. Breakfast was ok.

Just returned from an enjoyable week at the Astoria.The hotel is very close to beach and is also convenient for shopping .It has to be said its not in the wealthiest part of town but that did not worry us.Hotel fascilities were good and the hotel cleanliness was first class.We had breakfast included which was a good selection although hot options tended to be luke warm overall it was ok.would definitely stay again.

The gym equipment was old and outdated. The suna was small and broke down on several occasions. The breakfast wasnt great. On the up side all the staff were nice and very helpful.

A Very Satisfying Experience

I stayed for 5 nights at Hotel Astoria, and it was a nice experience for me. Stayed alone for a conference visit. The price I got from Expedia was very competitive, as I found out later from fellow attendees and their accommodation costs. You can take a cab to the Hotel from the Airport and it'll cost you 31 euros or so. Alternatively, you can take the bus from Airport, but you will have to change buses once at San Telmo. The rooms were comfy with good air-conditioning. The bathrooms were neat. Shower-space was pretty small, but wasn't a problem for me. No refrigerator or tea-making facilities, so you have to keep that in mind. Water, you can buy from the 5th Floor Bar. Staff at reception counter were friendly and informative. Breakfast was included but I had dinner & lunch once by paying 10 Euros each time at the reception. The food was good, there were choices. The Dining Hall is at the basement, and you can take the elevator to it. The beach is about a minute's walk away. From the top you have a view of the surroundings. The housekeeping staff do a good job, and the rest also cater to your needs. Most of the staff understand broken English, but it helps if you know the Spanish for FAQs. There were no hidden payments or extra charges except for the extra meals which I paid on-the-spot. Had a lovely experience and will surely go back there if I have a chance. Kudos!

Excellent hotel with good facilities. Very clean rooms but old fashioned key entry and doors has to be pulled to shut. TV very poor with no English channels. Restaurant excellent with great choice and some staff friendly and helpful, especially Sergio. Very good value for money and would stay again and recommend.

Astoria Hotel Review.

We spent a week in this hotel.The staff were very friendly and helpful.The room was a good size and had a big HD television.The bathroom was also good with plenty of room for 2 peoples toiletries.The air conditioning was a bit noisy and was key operated so could not be left on when you were not in the room.The room was quiet (double windows)and good blackout curtains for sleeping even during the day.
The breakfast (served 8 to 10) was good but some food was cold and the breakfast room was very busy.Maybe the hotel should consider an extea hour of serving.The Wi-Fi in the hotel was excellent and the facilities were also good.The hotel location was good and only a couple of minutes walk to Las Canteras beach.This hotel was excellent value for money and I would use it again.

Check-In und -Out liefen schnell und ohne Probleme ab. Bis auf ein kleines Problem mit dem WLAN hatte ich eigentlich keinen Kontakt mit dem Personal, aber alle Kontakte die ich hatte liegen schnell und unkompliziert ab.
Das Frühstück hatte nicht die größte Auswahl aber für mich hat es absolut gereicht. Wenn man ein Problem finden möchte, könnte man sagen, dass Bacon der Bacon für meinen Geschmack nicht knusprig genug war, und mit Salz und Pfeffer musste man auch etwas nachhelfen.
Das Zimmer war der Grund, weswegen ich fast nochmal einen Stern abgezogen hätte. Die Klimaanlage hat schon funktioniert, aber relativ inkonsistent. Manchmal lief es für ein paar Minuten auf voller Leistung und war wieder ein paar Minuten aus, manchmal lief es auf niedriger Leistung einfach durch. Wie man das umstellt war nicht so ganz klar, aber ich hab eh nicht so viel Zeit im Zimmer verbracht also war das nicht so schlimm. Was mich eher gestört hat, war das Fenster: das ging zu einem \"Schacht\" auf, da mein Zimmer keine außenwand hatte, was ja per se nicht schlimm ist. Allerdings hat es bei offenem Fenster immer relativ penetrant nach gebratenem Essen gerochen, weshalb man das Fenster nicht so lang auflassen konnte.
Alles in allem kann ich aber nur sagen, dass ich nichts dagegen hätte nochmal hier zu übernachten.

Hyvä sijainti, hyvä nukkua.

Lähellä rantaa oleva perushotelli jossa kattoterassi. Kattoterassi ei ollut kovin ihmeellinen eikä kattobaariin syömiset juuri häikäisseet. Ei myöskään aamiainen joka oli oikeastaan surkea, ainakin meille skandinaaviseen tasoon tottuneille. Huoneessa perusvarustus, ei minibaaria tai kahvinkeitintä. Mutta sijainti olikin meidän valintakriteeri ja se on hyvä! Keskusta ja rantakatu sekä monet ravintolat ja muut palvelut lähellä.

Här bor vi aldrig igen, trots underbar personal

Bodde på Bull Astoria i drygt 2 veckor och vi är inte imponerad, inte prisvärt!

Frukosten erbjöd lite och ingenting, vi åt frukosten på olika kaféer istället.
Rummet vi fick var jättelitet, vi var 2 vuxna och 1 ungdom.
Det bäddades varje dag, men att bäddas rent var de väldigt försiktiga med.
Väldigt trevligt med poolen på taket, men inte alltid det fanns något ätbart i baren en trappa ner, trots att det stod att det skulle finnas.
Trots Rök ej här-skylt utanför entrén, så satt det alltid fullt med människor och rökte på trappan till entrédörren…

MEN, det som drar upp betyget är personalen! Helt underbara;
Från de i receptionen, städet, mannen som varje dag satt vid poolen och personalen i poolbaren!!

Bra hotell med bra läge

Trevligt hotell men lite konstigt rum. Inget öppningsbart fönster. Beställt superior room med en liten sittgrupp men ngt sådant fanns inte. Brydde mig inte om att klaga då vi endast skulle bo i tre nätter. Frukosten var bra. Läget var också väldigt bra med restauranger och barer inom kort avstånd. Även nära till stranden.

Wem wenig an einer modernen Ausstattung und an täglicher Zimmerreinigung liegt, ist mit diesem günstigen Hotel gut bedient. Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral, das Frühstücksbuffet ist gut (falls man einen Platz findet). Was mich wirklich gestört hat, ist, dass niemand schaut, wer ins Hotel rein kommt. Der Safe ist sehr klein und muss extra bezahlt werden.

El alojamiento perfecto para pasar 5 o 6 dias, LIMPIEZA correcta, habitación grande y espaciosa, aunque seria perfecto que hubiera nevera, puesto que hay medicación que debe estar en frío. Cerca de la playa, aunque al no tener parking complica el retorno al Hotel y se pierde demasiado tiempo, buscando aparcamiento.

Veldig bra beliggenhet, kort til strand og gangavstand til alt. God service. Bra frokost. Veldig fint uteområde på taket med basseng og solsenger. Rommene var rene, men gammel stil. Det var veldig lytt til naborommene og vi kunne høre alt naboene gjorde.

Personalen är mycket vänlig och serviceinriktad. Hotellet har jättefina gemensamma utrymmen med fin och prisvänlig bar, storbildsTV, spelrum, pool på taket samt ett av de bättre gymmen jag sett på ett hotell. Parkett överallt.
Rummet var något litet men har bra förvaringsutrymmen. Alla rum har inte fönster, så man bör vara uppmärksam när man bokar.

Una buena experiencia a muy buen precio

El hotel tiene una ubicación estupenda, el trato del personal es excelente y el buffet del desayuno está muy bien. Pasé 5 noches ahí y volvería. Hubo un problema con mi habitación (baño) pero enseguida se me ofreció otra. Tal vez una reforma no le vendría mal pero estaba todo muy limpio.

Surprenant. Excellent rapport qualité-prix dans un quartier un peu excentré mais à deux coins de rues de la plage. Très confortable. Petit déjeuner au menu très varié. Piscine sur le toit. mauvais rapport qualité prix ... déçus

sejour de 3 jours a las palmas compliqué ... a notre arrive l'hôte d'accueil a perdu les passeport de mon cousin et sa femme .
chambre assez rustique, compliqué pour ce garé car pas de place de parking dédié a lhotel il faut tourner dans le quartier pour trouver une place et vous êtes obliger de mettre un ticket a 9H pour pouvoir rester 1h suppementairre le temps de prendre le petit déjeuner tranquille . parking disponible a 18 euros la journée un peut plus loin ..petit déjeuner correct . piscine pas utilisable car mauvais temps . literie des plus dur ... climatisation qui ne fonctionne pas très bien . plus un ventilateur qu une climatisation .? Pour couronne le tout un problème de serrure 2 jours de suite nous avons pas réussi a ouvrir notre chambre a laide de la clef .. heureusement que la femme de ménage étais pas loin a chaque fois

Priceworthy hotel with rooftop pool

The hotel was one of the cheaper hotels in Las Palmas that offers both a pool and air conditioning. I think it was great value for my money and I'd be happy to stay here again.

El checkin es algo incómodo porque se hace en un hotel al lado. No tenían mucha experiencia en uso de Hoteles.com y tuvieron que llamar a otra persona que tardo un buen rato en confirmar que la reserva se había hecho. En los apartamentos al lado de la piscina se está muy bien y son muy cómodos

Muy acogedores a la llgada y en todo momento, tal vez excesivo acopio de medidas anticovid, todo muy limpio y agradable, aparcamiento en estas fechas muy dificil por la zona, el parking donde hacen descuento por hotel esta a unos 800 metros

Trevligt och fräscht hotell. Våning 5 är ett extraplus med uteplats, gym och pool, även om gymmets maskiner är omoderna.
Helt ok rymliga rym med bra garderober och en tyst AC.
Frukosten har standardutbud men hade önskat mer frukt och grönsaker. Bra att de har laktosfri mjölk.
Det märks att hotellet har börjat bli miljömedvetet.

Ligger väldigt nära stranden.

Absolut ett prisvärt hotell i Las Palmas.
