We stayed in a huge apartment with a balcony overlooking the ocean. It was spotlessly clean when we arrived and in good condition with everything we needed. The kitchen was well-stocked with plenty of space, the bed was comfortable and the room was quiet with very little noise from other rooms. Overall it was exceptional value for money and we would be happy to go back.

We had two bedroom sitting room and kitchen with a side beach view. We could hear the ocean waves crashing with the hotel door open. There was tons of space for our 9 month old granddaughter to crawl about. The rooms were spotless and checked everyday.

Overlooking the Atlantic, great sunsets

Lovely.place overlooking the Atlantic! Outside on their property it was NOT cleaned up daily. We were surprised. Inside was lovely. Option of outside free parking worked well. Could use coffee maker in room. ( and wine glasses). Overall very pleased. Convenient and fun!

Très grand appartement la cuisine n’est pas qu’un comptoir mais une pièce à part entière. Bien équipée. Petit bémol avions appartement avec balcon et vue sur l’eau mais celui ci était très petit et la garde en béton cachait la vue une fois assis.Fenestration de grande qualité lumineux et parfait pour avoir l’air de la mer.

while i would say this was a business hotel, with cooking facilities, large fridge and microwave. enough utensils for a basic- medium hot meal. the staff were excellent, breakfast is buffet style and while the selection was not the biggest, we found the hot food replenished frequently, freshly baked pastries and cake, fresh chopped fruit, juices and cereals real coffee chocolat and a range of teas.3 grocery shops within 3 minutes walk. coffee shops everwhere lots of nearby shops for everything. 50 restaurants within 10 minutes walk, beach almost outside the door. train station 2 minutes walk. hired a car but uber was almost cheaper than the cost of petrol. we will be returning to this hotel again soon.

The property location was great, with the beach right outside and lots of shops, restaurants and things for the kids to do. The hotel/apartment itself was comfortable, the staff were very welcoming and accommodating to our needs. Everyday staff would check in on us and ensure we have everything we need (clean towels, toilet paper washing up liquid, bins changed etc). There is a car park but beware if you come back to the hotel late at night as you don’t always find a free space and will need to look elsewhere (I had to pay for parking for one of the nights). Overall, an excellent experience and we will definitely come back again.

The continental breakfast was simple but always fresh. Cleaning staff asked every day if anything needed doing. Reception staff always ready to offer advice on where to dine, walk or visit depending on the amount of time we had that day.
While I am aware that the hotel is not a 4 star hotel, the staff made it feel it could be.

This was a very nice option, location was perfect , walk 2 min to the beach, good view , polite and nice staff, clean room and good service.
Room is not Luxury or brand new, but it’s comfortable.

Lovely sea view but….

Reception staff were really helpful when we arrived early,eg let us park in car park and use toilet. The apartment had a lovely sea view and a comfy sofa. It was plenty large enough for two people but did need updating. The bed especially so as it was creaky and uncomfortable, spoiling our experience to a certain degree. The kitchen was very basic and had no preparation space without us moving the microwave out of the way, it was in need of a major upgrade.

Noise, noise, noise

Noise - it’s what I will remember from this trip.
We were put on the second floor looking on to the casino.
The first night we had to listen to live music until the early hours.
Then on top of that the room above were so noisy and were talking and walking about (sounded like heels) until at least 5:30am. Then there was the dog barking in their room.
I spoke to reception who told me the hotel was full - but that the people in that room were checking out that day. If that is, in fact true, a very similar sounding dog and people with the same footwear checked in.
I was told at reception I could phone down if there was noise.
It was a shame - other than that I found the staff to be friendly. The room/apartment was spacious (although not modern and no usb charging. I found it strange to have one small tv in the apartment - and none in the bedroom. That said that is probably more a reflection on me and modern culture of tv always being on.
Dining nearby was pretty fairly priced. We got their free parking (but didn’t move the car for our stay in case there wasn’t any when we got back).
Beach is basically across the road. If lying on the beach is your thing then it has an excellent location.
Town had some pleasant shops.

Absolutely Fine

Perfect for my needs, reasonably clean, kitchen reasonably equipped, bed ok but squeaky. Wifi ok. Staff very friendly. Very noisy not much sound proofing. Shops annd transport very close. Also a stone throw away from the beach. Everything just needs updating. I was there for a HT with Bruno Ferreira so basically room bound and the apartment suited me fine.

Ocean view from balcony was spectacular. Updates to windows and slider made seeing and hearing the ocean and waves great. Rest of the apartment is somewhat dated but still usable. Would recommend a heavier and slightly longer shower curtain. Location to the beach and town can't be beat.

The room was good but the view was nice when you are standing but we sit down the balcony wall cover the view- if it was glass or open with metal would be better.

Nice hotel close to beach and restaurants etc. Currently undergoing renovation. For some reason expedia map location was wrong & that meant it was a struggle to find, but it’s the biggest hotel in town so once someone pointed it out, we found it okay. Town is a bit shabby!

Great Four Star Apartment Hotel

Really great apartment hotel with everything you could need. Good view, comfortable and great staff. There were four of us, and my three friends were shower hogs. I was last and the hot water ran out. Otherwise is was nice, and right next to the ocean.

It was very good stay for Porto. This one has a good size kitchen and a proper size reception area. Beach is only within the door steps and there is a train station directly to Porto. Also there is one swimming pool for the people who might not like sea water.

It's a wonderful hotel in a great location right on the beach. Service was friendly and helpful - even rushing to get a few items laundered for us last minute. The room has a kitchen with basic pots/pans, plates, and silverware. Much more than we needed while we were there but can see how it's useful. Could see the ocean from bed and we weren't even in an oceanfront room.

Beach holiday in lovely seaside resort, Espinho

Initially our room was poor (second floor - room 209) as it overlooked a very noisy karaoke bar and the Casino. The noise from the bar went on until 05.45 one morning. After 4 nights of no sleep we managed to change rooms to the fifth floor and overlooking the city which was what we had originally booked. The reception staff were helpful with this swop.

We did ask for an extra pillow each and an extra key but were told this may not be possible as the hotel was full!

However on changing rooms we had a wonderful stay. The apartment was well equipped and spotless.

Nice place to stay a few days and enjoy the beach. Easy to park for free as well, and with the car it was an easy reach to Porto to see the port wine cellars. Beach was long and nice, but most services at this point, and also the wind was buffered a bit more here.

Great location hotel deserves more \"care\"

No problems at all, and really great stay, yet, since the location is simply Great the lack of hotel renovations since the '80 (my guess) makes the experience bitter sweet. Theres an effort to put some Campbell's Soup Cans paint by Andy Warhol and a stylish fridge but other than that and the TV, old furniture, carpet, wall paint, curtains....

Overall because of the price, very good stay but on a location like that, a full renovation would put this place straight on top.

We were up grade to a room with double bed and bigger area due to a failure with the wifi. Staff was more than accommodating and helpful. Location is ideal if you can't find something to suit your needs in Porto or Gaia. Driving distance between Espinho and Porto is 20 min approx and toll is about 0.60 Euros one way.
Located right in front of the beach, the casino also in front of and lots of restaurants around, grocery store and two parking lots (one cover for a fee)

The apartment was tired looking, there was a lot of dust on the top of the shelves (we had to put things there to keep them away from our small children) so the cleaning was only in visible areas.
The hotel claimed we scratched the TV and said that they had to talk to management and this got us stressed for 2 days, then they admitted the TV was old and probably had the scratches from before.
The apartments are spacious, apparently there are renovated ones but we did not see these.

The hotel seems to be going through a reverb. Our room was in the old style and bit tired, but was very clean.
I booked breakfast via Expedia but the hotel refused to honour this and I had to buy breakfast elsewhere.

I stayed at the Hotel Apartamento Solverde and firstly was impressed at how centrally located it was. The hotel itself is modern and has exceptionally friendly and helpful staff where nothing was too much trouble. We has a south facing apartment with a sea view from the balcony. The apartments were very spacious and boast a large living area, a full size kitchen which is well equipped, decent sized bathroom and bedroom and they are very clean.

When I reserved the hotel, I paid for buffet breakfast as part of my package. When I went to reception to confirm breakfast, I was told by reception that I did not reserve breakfast. I showed the reception my proof of confirmation and they advised me that Hotels.com did not advise the hotel that I had booked this and therefore would not let myself and 5 year old son dine in the breakfast room. I would strongly recommend prior to travelling that you check directly with the hotel that the agent has reserved breakfast if you have paid for it as this ended up being a major inconvenience to my party.

Overall, a great hotel and well recommended.

Our apartment at the Solverde was just what we had expected, it was spacious, clean, well equipped and central in Espinho. The apartment was on the 8th floor and had a sea view. The apartment had a full sized kitchen and there was plenty of space everywhere to not feel cramped. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble.

Our only downside was that the hotel was not informed by the booking agent that we had reserved breakfast with Hotels.com, which was not the fault of the hotel. I was therefore were asked to pay the amount upfront (which I was not prepared to do as I had already paid for it) and then get it refunded when I returned home.

Besides this, we had a fantastic stay and would recommend this hotel.

The hotel stuff is helpful and cleanly dressed.
The room was a little too cold since it only had electrical heating which did not provide enough heat for the whole apartment. The carpet throughout the apartment had a lot of spots and definitely needs to be replaced. WiFi was available free of charge in the room, which was great.
The kitchen had utensils which was a great bonus!
Overall we enjoyed the hotel and will come back to it next time

Lobby was nice and staff were friendly. When we got to the room it felt like we had been transported to 1970. Old and not kept up. Bedding was terrible. Pillows were completely flat. We did not take our socks off because the carpet was soo dirty. Location and view of the ocean were great.

My stay was great but a few things the reception should be aware. The reception should give more information to the clients. Such as local restaurants, touristic information and conboios. They dont have any information and when we asked they say \"I dont know\". Also we were two people wiith diferent planes for the two days. I have asked for two keys and i had explain why to the receptionist. The receptionist said that \"madam will be better one key for security reasons\" . Also our key stop to work a few times. On our departure stop to work 15 minutes before we departure. The made opened the door and said at the reception we were there after 12 noon. I honestly I expected better service at the receptio. Normaly i book my accomodation when i travel with Hotel.com and I NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS UNTIL NOW. Our apartament was 601, 10th to 12th Oct.

We very much enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable. It had dishes and pots and pans and a new stove. There was plenty of room (kitchen, tv room, bedroom, large antechamber, two room bathroom, four sinks, nice shower and tub). The lobby of the hotel is not very nice, but we didn't spend time there. The location is just a few steps from the beach -- we walked in our bare feet to the beach. The Atlantic water was rather chilly, but very calm and clean with a sandy bottom. We also enjoyed walking around the town of Espinho.

Exactly what the title says, every convenience possible, supermarkets within minutes of the hotel, beach on your doorstep, restaurants and casino right next door!! this place is like a resort... everything you need in 1 place and if you want to escape for a day or 2 Porto is only 45 mins by bus or train.... The hotel staff were very friendly everyone spoke really good English and the rooms were the most comfortable I have stayed in around Europe yet... I would highly recommend this to anyone Visiting Espinho.

Appartements très spacieux avec vue sur mer.
Localisation idéale pour des vacances.
La literie est cependant un peu dur mais à ce rapport qualité prix c'est une offre imbattable

Toller Ausblick,nah am Meer und direkt zur Stadt mit vielen tollen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten.

Hätte ein Zimmer im 6.ten Stock (Westseite) und habe einerseits einen tollen Blick über die Dächer als auch zum Meer hin genießen können

Appartement très bien très grand mais un peux à rafraîchir niveau décoration et surtout le ménage plus de cheveux retrouvé dans les lit et dans la salle de bain
