A wonderful hotel, quiet hotel in the heart of Porto. Now out go to spot when we are in town. Out only annoyance on this trip was the hotel wanting an early check in fee of 30 euros even though our room was ready for us to occupy anyway.

I really liked this hotel, the indoor Pool and sauna area was well looked after. The staff let me chill in spa area before my room was ready as I arrived 3 hours early. The reception staff were really helpful and when my room was ready my bags had already been taken there. Great little spot close walk to WOW ( and Lydil). Cheap in Ubers if needed to historic centre. The grounds were lovely. Good value for money. Breakfasts were great. Would recommend for the peace and quite alone.

Beautiful hotel - well designed, uniquely set and surrounded by a picturesque garden. Very relaxing ambiance. Gym facilities are nice. Good playground for kids. Breakfast has good choices and worth the price. Rooms are clean, have good space, and are contemporary. Staff are well trained and are accommodating.. it is conveniently located close to shops, restaurants and main sites. Parking is easy and reasonably priced. Cannot recommend enough.

Staff extremely nice. The hotel was very nice. Away from the crowds if you’re happy to be so, we loved the pol areas. Found it all very relaxing & comfortable. Parking was expensive but a necessity here. It was great to have the option of a car as we wanted to travel.

Very nice location next to an old mansion. There is a lovely outdoor pool. Some of the public carpet areas were dirty. Breakfast had a great selection but coffee was slow to come out of the kitchen. No complimentary water included. Not too much of a problem but would be handy to know this at check-in. There is a supermarket near by for water.

There were some very good aspects, others less good. The room was large, lovely bathroom and very comfortable bed. The staff were all very friendly and tried to be helpful.

A few things detracted from this. First was the pool, where some guests (the young adults rather than the young children!) were very loud and had no awareness that this was quite annoying. Also, the pool area was a little underwhelming - not all sunbeds had mattresses, they were worn in areas. The floor area around the pool could also have been cleaner. Secondly, the room was cleaned each day but on the first day the coffee mugs were not replaced, suggesting this was not done with very much attention to detail. Additionally, service in the bar was a bit haphazard - the staff there were doing their best but there were additional agency staff brought in and they were clearly not sufficiently experienced or trained. The spa was very nice but it seems odd that in a hotel of this size, someone has to be brought in for some treatments. Our 'view' was over the back of the hotel. It was very noisy from what I think were the aircon machines, and as a result the balcony wasn't a great place to sit. Lastly, there was a rooftop bar area which was one reason for me booking this hotel - but this was only available for private functions.

This sounds negative, but it is only intended to be constructive as many of these points would have easy fixes. Overall we enjoyed Porto and our stay, and would come back again.

This hotel is amazing for its location, gardens, facilities and rooms. We have stayed here twice now; once as a couple and once with our 3 children (6,10 and 11). The two swimming pools are beautiful, warm and clean. They are never very busy and there is no fighting for sun beds. The restaurant serves lovely food and drinks. The breakfast is the best hotel breakfast we have ever had. There is a play park and beautiful gardens including a fenced off duck pond within the hotel grounds. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The location is great. 10 minutes walk to el Corte ingles and 2 metro stations (camara Gaia is the easiest station to get off at) which then only takes 5 minutes to get to central Porto. What really makes this hotel outstanding is the staff who are a credit to their occupation. Every single staff member we encountered were professional, kind and welcoming. Myself and my son had to extend our stay due to him coming down with chicken pox during our stay and we were always checked on, made to feel welcome and there was nothing too much. Thank you all, we will be back again!

The hotel was quiet and well decorated. The Porto wine at check in is such a great detail.
Bedroom was comfortable, loved the toiletries!
Had the chance to use the gym, pool and sauna and everything was in great condition being the pool of a very good size.

Great hotel, 2nd time we have stayed. Only issue we have is the lack of staff working in the lobby bar, we waited 30 minutes for 6 drinks to arrive, 2 of those were cocktails but the rest were just beer & wine, one guy working alone very very slowly ! The staff working in the breakfast cafe are fast, efficient & friendly so clearly it is possible to get properly trained staff or maybe move a couple to run the bar later in the day ?!

Great stay on the outskirts of the busy district! Very steep down hill to town, fine for me but tricker for my older parents. Taxis are so cheap though so easy enough to get about!

My experience was far from 5-star for the following reasons:

1. There was no desk to work.
2. There was no place or shelving to place any belonging on, within the room.
3. The TV was on wheels.
4. The only chair in the room was in the room lobby.
5. There were two defaults in the bedroom, the shower head was loose and there was loose metal covering on the handle, please see below photos
6. And top it off I cut my thumb in the swimming pool on one of the jacuzzi loungers

Overall the hotel was simply not up to scratch. It’s a shame as I had stayed in another Hilton Hotel (Hilton Porto Gaia) in the previous 3 days which was fantastic.

Boeira Gardens is a beautiful hotel. Would definitely recommend it. For service I deducted a star because the service was very slow in hotel bar, only one person servicing and there were conference guests in numbers. The service at the front desk was excellent. All the staff were super friendly and efficient.
There isn't much in the surrounding area but it's only a 10 minute walk to the Metro which will bring you over to the tourist areas.

Wonderful hotel experience. Great breakfast. Lunch menu same as dinner. However room was strange for person with weak leg and cane. Walk in shower needs shower stool and vertical bar outside to safely get in and out. Space for bench in disconnected bath which woul allow opening luggage in bath or using to dry legs after shower. Entry has single chair with reading light. Bedroom closed not handicapped friendly.

Beautiful hotel in Gaia

This is a beautiful property with beautiful grounds. The rooms are spacious and very clean, bed and pillows are super comfortable. The staff is very attentive, but I think the property was understaffed. The hotel is located in Gaia, not Porto, but it's close enough to take a quick and affordable Uber ride - around 8 to 10 Euro. It is also very close to the train station, if you want to get to Lisbon, Aveiro. etc.

Great property in a fantastic location with terrific facilities. Experience somewhat ruined by very arrogant and passive aggressive breakfast service which left me feeling awkward and irritated. And I’ve been told the same by other guests. If I go back to Porto I wouldn’t stay here purely for that reason.

Great location, but kids beds not included!

Great secluded location but despite the name, not many rooms have view of a garden. Our balcony overlooked service road for parking and deliveries. Very noisy chiller truck was sat outside our window for 30+ minutes first thing with engine and chillers all running!

Also hotel employes any tactic to extract more cash out of you. E.g. sunbeds around pool are 30EUR and despite.booking and paying for 2 adults and 1 child I had to pay an extra 50EUR at checkout for an extra bed. Surely if you pay for 3 initially you get beds for 3!

Left not very happy and out of pocket so would not return again.

when we got to the hotel we felt super special by the girls on the lobby , every day was super good.

the only thing that we did not like was the last day of the check out , we were supposed to do the wine cellar tour and we were going to buy wines and souvenirs but the girls they did not treat us right they were like bored and we felt bad it was like they were doing us a favor .... we end it up buying nothing and we left super sad ......

Disappointed beyond belief. When I checked in, I told the agent my trip had been extended and I needed to book another night. She was accommodating, did not indicate at all it was a problem. I found out that in fact it was a problem when the hotel called me and told me I had to leave the room. I had to get a cab from across the river, pack up and move to a different hotel. By way of an explanation, the guest agent told me I should have asked for a confirmation number from the person who checked me in at the hotel. No apologies, no accommodation for my inconvenience, no conversation with a manager. Lack of training and unprofessionalism… from a leader in the hospitality industry? I think not.

If you want a room that is all formica, plastic, linoleum floors, terrible management, weed ridden outdoors, concrete disaster then this is the place for you.

Perhaps a 3 star MOTEL. Dinner was terrible.

How Hilton put there name on this wreck is SHOCKING !!

Very comfortable hotel for our stay in Porto! The staff were friendly and the room...just better than my own home. Air conditioning worked well and had 3 nights of very good sleep. The only point would be size of the room is relatively small so if you have a lot of big luggage, take note. We had a special request after we went swimming and some issue with the bed, but the team reacted politely. Spa is lovely, and I wish to go back already.

Very beautiful hotel - the grounds are lovely, pool area clean and modern.

Hotel staff are lovely.

Only issue is operational, and likely due to it being a new hotel
- outdoor pool wasn’t available for the entire stay due to a issue.
- Room service number didn’t work for entire stay so we had to use reception, who did not always answer so had to go to the front desk - once resulted in a 45 minute wait for some plates.

- Gym still unfinished with smashed window and damaged walls.

Overall the hotel is lovely although is currently very new - will get better with time!
