I liked the closeness of the property to restaurants and stores. The hotel was nice and staff were friendly.

we booked this hotel for our family's visit including grandparents in their 80s. upon request, the rooms were perfectly ready for their convenience (e.g. bathroom with support facilities) and they were quite satisfied with the quality of services so we are happy too :)

Quite appropriate hotel for overnight stay. Rooms are relatively small, bathrooms even more, however they are clean. The hotel is old and will need some renovation in the near future. Good wifi. Tasteful breakfast, in the same restaurant they have some snacks and pizzas in the afternoon/evening.

My first time at Mercure, and I liked it. Hotel is nicely located within a short walking distance from Gerlingen town centre. Room is functional, but a bit warm. It seemed the aircon was not working, but the window could be opened. The bed was ok. In the bathroom there was a smell of "dry floor drain" that did not go away although I tried.
Self-parking in the hotel yard was easy.

I regularly stay in the region west of Stuttgart and the Mercure Gerlingen is my preferred choice based on value for money for the room / location. More modern than many of the other hotels in the area. Free water/Soft drinks in the room fridge. Good restaurant. Pity the TV has no watchable English language channels.

Liked the people there and the cleanliness. Did not like that one entire night there was NO hot water (no showers after a long day of sightseeing). The bed blanket didnt cover the bed either so we had to ask for a second. Lastly you can only get a full breakfast in the restaurant but not a coffee and pastry (which they have)

The stay was good. The only thing I can fault the hotel on, was the cleanliness of the room. There was a half bottle of apple juice in the refrigerator (not ours) and the night stands needed wiping. The hotel isn't in a downtown area, so we needed to drive everywhere. The breakfast was great and a nice touch. Another item (and it's probably a foreign idea) is the room didn't have air conditioning. We were able to open our windows and it really wasn't warm weather. But if we were there in the summer months, it may have been too much.

Close to the airport
The hotel is close to the airport and close to the Mercedes and Porche museums. The staffs are friendly cordial and the speak and understand English. The down side to the hotel is you have to pay for parking which was a surprise to me but as I come to realize you pay for parking in almost every public place in Stuttgart.

Outside the city center but close to the tram making it an easy train ride away. Quiet residential neighborhood that didn't have much to do in terms of tourism. Perfect for a quick business trip.

This hotel is a great alternative to downtown hotels. One block walk to U6 tram station which takes you to Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof, for about 25 minutes. The tram runs at least 3 times a hour up till 00:30 at midnight during the week days, so getting around is easy even without a car. The hotel looks clean and hotel staff are friendly and helpful.
The sound proofing is not one of the best, could hear the tram and traffic even with all windows closed.
The parking and breakfast are relatively cheaper, for 7 and 12 Euro respectively, although I didn't get to try the breakfast due to getting up too late.

The hotel staff were friendly and generally helpful, although the one who told me that parking in Stuttgart would be easy was either a joker or an optimist! Breakfast was too expensive, there was no air-con, which made it difficult to sleep with the windows open due to noise, and that is not really acceptable for a 4* hotel.

Basic hotel but priced accordingly
This is a budget hotel and ok for an overnight as we used it due to its close proximity to the Porsche museum and factory. The staff are very pleasant,friendly and helpful so no complaints. The bar and restaurant are fine but around the corner (2mins) there is a reasonably priced Italian restaurant and a bar next door, for those who want to head to the centre, there is a train stop across the road and it's only 30 minutes into town. So in summary fit for purpose for a short stay but functional rather than plush but it's cheap so what do you expect!

Everything was fine, we turned up very late nearly midnight but check-in was fine. A bit disappointed there was no tea making facilities in the room but apart from that it was very comfortable with a good breakfast.

Nothing spectacular about this hotel. No air conditioning, so they told is to open the windows. The trains and buses ran outside so loud we had no sleep. The breakfast buffet was way overpriced, but they had a few good items (eggs, smoothie, and fruit). We stayed at the Mercure hotel in Friedrichsdorf the night before and had the best experience ever, so our expectations were high for this Mercure hotel as well. Didn't come close to meeting expectations.

Die Unterkunft war ganz gut. Teilweise war das Inventar schon etwas abgenutzt. In die Innenstadt fährt man mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln eine halbe Stunde. Haltestelle war nicht weit entfernt. Parkplatz Einfahrt war etwas unübersichtlich. Ruhige Zimmer. Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Kommen gerne wieder.

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und ich finde es toll dass es die Möglichkeit für ein kostenloses parken gibt, allerdings sind die Zimmer nur oberflächlich betrachtet sauber. So ist das Bad bei uns staubig und die Abflüsse dreckig gewesen, das Waschbecken war verstopf was Zähne putzen unangenehm gemacht hat.
Die Betten sind auch hier oberflächlich bequem allerdings steht man am Morgen mit einem ziemlich steifen Nacken auf, mit den Kissen braucht man auch garkeine Kissen.
Alles in allem würde ich mich nicht nochmal für einen Aufenthalt entscheiden.
