Room not as described. I had a rather rude encounter with the receptionist when I tried to address this issue.
The ‘balcony’ was a narrow metal platform – absolutely filthy, and a totally unusable space.
Windows were filthy. No fly screen doors so we were unable to have the doors or windows open for fresh air. In any event, we were positioned near some skip bins, which provided plenty of stench and flies when we had the doors open for a few minutes.
Toilet in the ensuite was grotty, and a foul smell emanated from the drain.
I expected more from Quest, considering the money we paid for the executive two bedroom apartment.
Good proximity to the City and tram lines.

Daily towel change & amenities topped up although did run out of small cartons of milk on Sunday with no delivery until start of week. We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment with sofa bed in lounge for 2 of us however only 1 mirror in entire apartment located in the bathroom. Glad there weren't 4 or 6 sharing as the mirror steamed up in the shower. Best shower I have come across in a hotel and great location to access Melbourne.

5 night stay, central location and easy access to trams. Staff helpful and property clean, cleaners were efficient and friendly. However the street noise level was terrible, the curtains didn’t block out lighting from the main road. We asked to move on the first night but this was declined as we booked a one bedroom studio. And all were on that side of the building. The couch was so low to the ground was unusable. The photos online did not accurately reflect the rooms, which are tired and dated.

Pleasant staff on check-in, big \"executive\" apartment, location was perfect for our CBD meeting. The bathroom has no room/shelves for toiletries etc. one bare wall could do with a couple of plain shelves. Very large kitchen with all facilities and supplies. The very lowest two couches ever.... impossible to get out of once down...strange. TV a bit hit & miss, lots of static/interference. Very clean.

It was small and I didn't like that there were so many problems with the getting the daily cleaning done properly, the ammenities that were in the apartment were dated and only 1 lift out of 2 lifts were working on one of the busiest sporting weeks in Melbourne. The only thing that was great was the location

Quest on William is located in an ideal spot in Melbourne in a business district, meaning that it’s quiet at night and away from hubs of activity. My suite was very comfortable including the bed, and had everything I needed for my stay. The cleaning service for the room was inconsistent during my stay but the room was spotless on my arrival. This did not take away from the enjoyment of my stay and I would highly recommend it. The front desk staff were very helpful, courteous and professional.

Excellent location in the CBD. This property is an apartment hotel, so it was functional. We specifically like the kitchen and laundry facilities. One downside is that, they don't take an international credit card for deposit, so you need to pay in Australian cash. Another issue we faced was that there's no room service, so we had to go in person to the front desk in order to get extra coffee, etc.

Location is unbeatable and walkable.

Trip to concert at Marvel Stadium

The hotel is in an excellent location for our trip to Pearl jam at Marvel Stadium, and the room was very good with excellent facilities and the shower was great. The only downside was the noise. Our room was the tram side of the building and it was quite loud, and for some reason the plumbing is also very loud in the building. Overall we would stay again but request a room away from the William Street side of the building.

Great walkable location for Melbourne CBD. Booked a one bedroom apt and was upgraded to 2 bedroom. Apt had odd layout with main bedroom not near bathroom. Spacious bathroom and walk-in shower with rainhead. Only 1 lift working during stay which caused some delays. Some downlights not working and wind whistled at night from lounge windows.

I was pretty unhappy with my stay.

Minor issues - some of the lights in the room were not functioning. Room was not as clean as it could have been. Outdated. Air conditioning was from the 1980's.

Major issues - I have a medical condition that requires me to utilise certain gym equipment daily. I selected this hotel as I was of the opinion that it would be acceptable. The gym was a 3m x 4m room in the middle of a fire escape, no ventilation, no covid compliance (no wipes or sanitiser), 1 tread mill, some dumbbells and a bike that was not plugged in or serviced sine 2020. Access to the gym was a nightmare and I had to visit reception 4 times just to get access.

Water issues - Some major issues within this building from what I heard. Noises in the walls that were very loud and shaking the room. I was also mid shower and all the water for the room was lost.

Staff were pleasant enough and offered to upgrade me but honestly, for the price I paid (over 2k), this was one of the worst places I have stayed in. Not returning. Would struggle to give 2 stars

We stayed in a 2 Bed Apartment and it was very good, plenty of space, lots of room in the 2 bedrooms and lounge/dining area (3 sofas!). The kitchen was large and overall the apartment was very clean and in good condition.

The hotel reception and corridors were tidy too. The hotel is walkable to many central places and has a tram stop right outside so it was convenient for us not having a car.

The negative is the noise - from other guests. Constant doors banging (they do not have soft closers) upto and past midnight. And it is a VERY loud bang. This continued every night. I asked the guests to stop but was laughed at. There is no night porter so we had to put up with it. The hotel needs to do something about the guests or the doors.

Overall a nice place, but given the noise and lack of sleep, we won't go there again.

Our two bedroom apartment was in a terrible condition. The fridge had a fowl odour (think rotten fish) that despite giving it a thorough clean we could not get ride of. The cooking utensils and stover were covered in a think film of grease, the clothes dryer was not operational and the general apparent was dirty. Within 5 minutes of walking inside our socks were black. The sofa bed where our son needed to sleep was covered in crusty grime and stains. We paid a premium to stay in the city centre and the apartment provided a very disappointing experience.

Unhappy with the security

The room was rundown but clean. It was a pleasant stay for the first night but a stranger rang my doorbell late at night on my second night there. I was grateful that there is a security camera in the room to identify the person without opening the door (there was no peep hole on the door). I’ve ignored it and the person left. I left the room at 5am due to an early flight but found four strangers sleeping on sofa on groundfloor. I was surprised as I am sure they did not have swapped cards to enter the property. I checked out by sliding my keys under the glass door leading to reception as per the receptionist when I asked about early check outs. The door is always locked after hours, which I assumed it is safe to do so. Things took a turn when I received a call at 11am asking if I’m still in the room.They told me that they didn’t receive the keys. I’ve informed them of the situation and they said they’ll check the security cameras. They didn’t ring me back as requested when I asked for an update on the situation. However, I’m glad they didn’t take the pending deposit, which was requested on check in. Overall, I’m disappointed with the security of the place. I will not stay there again and would rather pay more for safety.

Front desk is friendly and helpful. Room service comes by every day. Within \"free tram zone\" hence very accessible to a lot of areas within CBD. The thermostat was a little wonky, not a huge issue with Melbourne's weather. All in all great for business travel

We arrived at 3.30pm on a Friday afternoon to be told they had plumbing problems and we had to be moved to another hotel.It was much further from the CBD and took us nearly an hour to get there in peak traffic. Nobody rung us, they could not give us directions and the lady behind the counter kept sniffing and had her mask on her chin.
Why weren't we notified earlier? They had our phone number. It would have been much easier if they simply rung us and gave us the new address.
After the concert it cost us an extra $20 for an Uber to get back to where we were staying.

We stayed for 5 nights as we vacationed in the Melbourne area.
We found the furniture and appliances to be much older and worn down than the photos on hotels.com.

The Washer / Dryer was in the bathroom and the Dryer did not vent outside, so the bathroom was very humid when we washed clothing.

We found access to electrical plugs to be awkward and out of the way. Had to pull the bed out to get a plug to charge our phones at night. Had to unplug the heater to have a plug by the table in order to charge our computer.

The free internet required that we plug a dongle into our PC USB port. Not sure how we would have gotten internet if we didn't have our PC>

The apartment was filthy dirty.
- Carpets not vacuum
- Food stuck to the carpet
- Food stuck to the front of the fridge
- Food & spill marks on the couches
- Food stuck to the privacy blinds
- Finger marks all over the glass table, coffe table & all taps
- Food & hand marks all over the bedroom mirror.
- Toothpaste still on the taps in the bathroom
- The toilet was dirty & hair beside the toilet.
- Dirty water runs beside & under the vanity.

This is just to mention a few of the issues we encountered.

On complaining to the front desk we were advised that housekeeping could clean on Monday, which was 2 days later & our check day...
I had to spend time cleaning the apartment just to feel slightly comfortable as we had no option but to stay.

I have since contacted management who apologised that they were having housekeeping issues due to the housekeeping manager being off that weekend but the filth had been there for more than 1 weekend plus, the apartment had been vacant the night prior to our check in so that is no excuse as there would have been no rush to clean.

We paid good money & no compensation or any form of reimbursement was offered & further correspondence was ignored by Management.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL, spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

The location is very convenient and it is not easy to find a 2 bedroom apartment in the city for that price. But the property was pretty run down. The walls were scuffed and needed painting. The rooms were dark and some of the light bulbs didn't work nor did the phone. None of the appliances e.g. TV, lamps etc were plugged in when we arrived

Unfortunately our experience at this hotel was very poor.
Standard check in time was stated as 2pm. We informed the hotel that we needed to check in between 12 and 2pm. The following day I messaged to confirm check in between 12pm and 1pm but recieved no reply. We arrived at reception at 1pm to check in before needing to be at an event at 1:45. Reception was closed and a sign on the door said that due to covid changes the reception does not open until 3pm. I called the 'after hours' number on the door. No answer so I left a message but never revieved a response.
We took our luggage back to the car and ended up being late to our event.
We returned at 3:10pm to check in. Reception was full of people wanting to check in and rooms were not ready. We waited 45 minutes to check in and were promised free drinks for the inconvenience. These never arrived. The poor staff member on reception was rushed and flustered but no one else was there to help. They were doing the best they could.
We had 30 minutes to get ready for our next event which we were again late for due to the slow check in process.
If we had of known reception did not open until later we could have planned our day accordingly.
The room itself was ok but could have been a lot cleaner. The bed was a double even though our room was supposed to have a queen.
We wont stay here again and recommend others to choose elsewhere.
Very disappointing for a hotel that operates under the Quest name.
