Nice and central to most amenities, can walk or take the trams/trains which were all free of charge.
The hotel itself self was very dated but clean and rooms were spacious. The shower was pretty poor, not much pressure and took a long time to heat up, we only used the hot water tap as it wasn’t that hot.
Staff were accommodating when I asked for extra towels.
We didn’t use the bar/restaurant so can’t comment on that.

The hotel has a nightclub which goes on till 5am on a Saturday night/sunday morning , this is fine if you are young and want to attend. Otherwise don’t expect to get any sleep. We were on the forth floor and didn’t get a wink of sleep, the noise was unbearable!! We were told about this on checking in and offered earplugs (which are no good to me as I can’t wear them). We called reception around 0230 to complain as we were checking out on Sunday @ 10am. They apologised and extended our checkout time till 12. My son and his girlfriend were on level 6, they heard it but not nearly as bad as we did (we are in our 60’s) and enjoy fun as much as the young ones but the continuous noise of the base was excruciating!! Not a place to go on the weekend if you like peace and quiet.

Super friendly and helpful staff, and the room was relatively large with big windows. The place is a little run down and the bath and toilet were both damaged cosmetically. The walls between the rooms a very thin and so my incredibly shout neighbour kept my awake on one of the nights. I had a word with reception and they were quieter the following night.

★☆☆☆☆ – Sold a Hotel Stay, Delivered a Nightclub Experience

The room itself was adequate — clean and functional. This review is about something far more serious: a fundamental failure in honesty and basic duty of care to paying guests.

We had two rooms booked — one for my wife and I, one for our two adult children. Four people, two separate rooms, both equally affected. The hotel runs a ground-floor nightclub until 4am. We were on the 6th floor. It made no difference whatsoever. The bass and music were relentless and made sleep impossible across both rooms.

The booking mentions 'possible noise from a nearby venue.' It does not disclose that the nightclub is inside the building itself, at a volume that penetrates every floor regardless of how high up you are.

Let's also be honest about what 4am actually means for a guest. It means two hours of broken sleep before morning arrives. Two hours is not rest — it takes a real and cumulative toll on four people trying to function throughout the following day.

On check-in, staff proactively offered to move us if the noise was too loud. On the second night — louder than the first — I called to take them up on it. Nothing was available. The solution offered was a small packet of earplugs, which do nothing for bass-level sound reverberating through six floors. I was then told, with a dismissive tone, that no one else in a fully booked hotel had complained — as though that somehow made our experience less valid.

The hotel will claim they make sure people know about elevated noise levels on weekends but they don't. The first I knew was when they handed me earplugs along with my key card when I checked in. The club on the 1st floor is insanely loud. Earplugs are useless - you can feel the vibrations through the bed. And the ridiculous volume continued through to 5am. It shouldn't be legal to charge people for rooms against that kind of disturbance.

It is in a prime location and the staff were kind and curteous. I think there is discrepency in the location discription that it's not one night club but two and the operation hours aren't clearly advertised but not technically the hotels fault. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable and even without the noise I kept waking up due to dicomfort. The walls were covered in scuff marks but otherwise the room was clean. The main issues were the lack of air circulation in the room and the vent in the bathroom was clogged with lint. The air conditioning could circulate some air but it was very stale. Alright place to stay for the price but I do think more than anything they need to sort out some better air circulation.

Very little mention of the night club that is located on level one. No mention that the music would be going until 5:00M on Sunday morning. Thank you for the useless ear plugs! They did nothing the muffle the sound on both nights of our stay - Friday and Saturday.

The rooms was average, the location was the only benefit for this accommodation.

The hotel it's self was really nice, it was the fact that we could hear the music and vibrations from the nightclub down stairs until 5am. Very loud, and I'm generally a heavy sleeper. Obviously no fault of the hotel, just wish I read previous reviews before I booked.

The room is clean and staff were very helpful. However, the shower area is narrow. The shower door has gaps that the water leaks out of and drips into the step which can cause someone to slip. Holes in the bathroom tiles where the hairdryer was installed. Parking has no lift for a disabled person.

If you are planning on staying here on a Friday or Saturday night, don't do it. The noise from the nightclub is unbearable and is not just in the building as the ad says, but is also in an area with a retractable roof, which when open, allows the noise to carry further.

The reviews here always have a copy and paste answer saying there is fair warning both before and after booking. This is dishonest and disingenuous and is a sign of poor business practices and care. They waring on the page before booking is hidden down the bottom of the page and doesn't detail how poor the conditions are. The extra warning after book is once again low down the page, but also details there is no chance for cancellations or refunds, so saying this is a fair warning is wrong. The conditions are unbearable, as they well know by handing out small earplugs and insisting you take them, and not being upfront about this is incredibly selfish business practice, especially for people who are in Melbourne for important events as I was, which ruined my trip.

The WiFi was also awful and didn't allow me to do the work I needed to do to prepare for the next day.

We had problems with the air conditioning and at first not really helping but night shift staff brought a large fan and then organised to fix it the next day. They say that there could be noise from night club. Under statement Friday night not too bad but Saturday was like they were in the next room. Make sure you have ear plugs. The room its self is great with 2 separate rooms and 2 toilets so the person sleeping on the fold out couch doesn’t have to walk through the bedroom to use.

Don't expect to sleep well here on a Friday or Saturday night, the noise from the night club is very loud and the ear plugs provided upon check in do little to help.

We stayed two nights over a weekend, and were not prepared for the noise from the in-hotel club. The club was on the 1st floor, but the sound and bass from the 5th floor was still palpable way beyond 3am.

Although this is mentioned briefly on the website, it cannot be overstated how loud/disturbing it is.

The rooms were rather aged with fraying wood and stained showers, and the bedding was heavily stained if you lifted off the covering sheet.

Would not return.

Because there is a nightclub downstairs it was so difficult to sleep. The noise was ridiculous and it went until the early hours of the morning. We were on the sixth floor and it was extremely loud. I feel for anyone staying on the lower floors. We only got told about the nightclub when checking in. When paying over $300 a night to stay you wouldn’t expect to have to put up with that level of noise. I would never stay again.

They claim to be a 4-star hotel. They are not. Their website boasts “a relaxing boutique hotel” — adorable, if you find sleepless nights relaxing. The “tea and coffeemakers” are a plastic kettle and instant coffee. “Room service available” means a vending machine in the foyer. Breakfast? None. Just a friendly suggestion to “try a local café.”

The “on-site restaurant” is a nightclub with deafening music, sticky floors, and patrons who think balance is optional. The lobby is tiny, gloomy, and guarded by nightclub security who look puzzled that you’re holding luggage, not a cocktail.

Yes, the fine print mentions a nightclub — but not that it thumps beneath your bed until 5 a.m. The complimentary earplugs are more of an admission of guilt than a comfort. Return from dinner after 9 p.m.? You’ll be rerouted through the smelly carpark, weaving between drunk revellers and the occasional fight in the alley.

After zero sleep, housekeeping twice burst in before 10:30 a.m., despite our confirmed noon checkout. No “Do Not Disturb” sign, naturally. The promised manager call never came.

In short: this is not a 4-star hotel. It’s barely a 3-star — a Budget Rave and Sleep Deprivation Centre disguised as a “boutique experience.” Perfect if you enjoy instant coffee, no sleep, and being serenaded by subwoofers until dawn.

For the price of the room it was great value, however the lack of overhead lighting made the room feel very dark & oppressive (relying on four scattered lamps) and lack of a big enough bottom sheet on the bed (two flat sheets only and the bottom sheet not being able to be tucked in) was a bit disappointing, again however the central location and overall price is fantastic. No in house restaurant or room service available however there is a mini mart underneath.
