we paid extra for a pool side room but couldn’t see the pool from our room. we were told 1 week prior to check in the pool was supposed to be under maintenance for half of our trip but the pool was then not completed till 2 days after that. wish we were give the option to switch to the sister resort the edgewater as getting the van to go for a swim was very annoying.

The room was very dated and had a terrible chemical smell inside. There is a 1 inch difference between the floor in the bedroom and the bathroom. The blackout curtains did not close all the way so our room was very bright all night long. And to top it all off there was no water in the pool, quite disappointing. One redeeming quality, the staff was very friendly.

Only let down will be resort is a little to quite & not enough activities. The breakfast isn't as great as its sister club Edgewater. More than anything I'd probably prefer to stay at Edgewater kid less as its more lively atmosphere.

The room was in good condition but quite average. Blanket was old, a few upgrades would really make it much nicer. Rooms are very close together. I kept the curtains closed. Parking is limited and best suited to smaller cars, definitely not vans. Continental breakfast was ok, but nothing eye catching. With tropical fruit how could you go wrong? A good quality yoghurt would be nice, the pool is lovely, the place is great, the staff are fantastic. The staff are warm and welcoming, and attentive.

STAFF were #1, absolutely excellent staff, so welcoming, friendly and hardworking, plenty of entertainment and great breaky. Pool and swim up bar were really awesome. All amenities especially the A/C was just spot on. We have stayed 4-5 times, but we have never seen so many intoxicated guests with food and vaping in the pool. I wouldn't stay in our same room again as it was a joining room and we could hear all the loud yelling from next door early hrs in the morning and the person was loud as all night and slept during the day so my husband had to go over 3 times to ask him to stop yelling. The room on the other side also came out at 1am and 3am and said they are to loud. That rooster had us all chasing it away at 4,45am, it made a funny conversation by the pool with other guests. We recommend to all friends to stay at club Raro as the staff and amenities are great and its adults only.

The daily cleanliness of the rooms, the most welcoming and friendly staff you could ever ask for, aqua socks and snorkel sets provided and the fact it's an adults only accommodation meant waking up with no screaming kids while you're trying to nurse a hangover. All staff was courteous and helpful except for the man that supposedly checked us in on the morning of our arrival. the breakfast was disappointing since all the eggs and meat and protein was at a cost and the breads and cereals were of course included.yes the rooms were clean and the staff was helpful but compared to our stay at Rarotonga resort and lagoonarium, I was disappointed. I should have researched more thoroughly before I booked the stay.

It was FINE.

Food was ok. Drinks were ready and available. It was definitely more a party atmosphere. At 12:30 I was woken up to someone yelling at a staff member about not being able to get some reservation. So since it was so late I am guessing they could not get on the party bus that goes around Rarotonga. Over all it was fine. It was kept up well, but you could tell it needed some renovations. If you just need a place to stay and grab some drinks its fine. Their beach is beautiful and really gorgeous scenery.

Only some rooms with TVs despite pictures, but only 1 (local) channel anyway, apparently multi-channel TVs are on the way, which suggests more reinvesting is happening which is great. The only reason why this isn’t a 5 star review is that a bunch of people decided to party at about 2am in the foyer and were very loud and the staff did nothing to intervene. What I loved about this property was how social it was. We easily made friends with other people there and it made it a really enjoyable stay. I would say this would be a good recommendation for solo travelers.

Whilst I can commend the services of the hotel, the service at times was not up to standard. The barman could have been friendlier and all the staff seemed a little, unhappy? Breakfast was a point to this as on more than one occasion stuff was not replenished to a point there was consistently a lack of core items such as milk, cutlery and butter.

Overall I would stay again and recommend as the general vibe was good, bar and pool is great place to chill or meet people and the room service and cleanliness was always good!

Upon arriving, we were billed too much; they realised and voided the transaction and rebilled, so $1500 stay cost nearly $3500. Told 2 days went abck to them and another staff member advised it would be 3 days, after 3 days, we were told 7 days for the voided money to be back in our account, but it took 7 days, and no compensation was offered, just told sorry we can't do anything about it. - So I was down over $1600 for the whole trip - why didn't they just credit me the small imbalance?
Then there were renovations taking place for the last three days in the kitchen, so limited kitchen facilities. Again, no compensation offered, just a letter on our door the day before they started.
Then, to top it off, Friends also had someone walk into their room while being intimate - what a classy joint.

Bed: Terrible! Too soft and too short - my legs hung out the bottom. Also reservation by hotel.com websites is misleading. I paid over $1100 for 2 twin beds & got to 2 single beds. Rooms were tiny.
Bathroom: atrocious! Dated, mouldy especially in the base of the shower.
Internet: worked well, no issues.
TV: 1 local channel and the Aerial did not work. I asked reception to sent someone to have a look - the issue was never rectified.
I will never stay at this hotel again & do not recommend.
In saying that, I must not fault the staff they were lovely and are trying to work within the confines of an establishment that has no love and care from its owners no more.

As soon as we arrived at Club Raro, the staff were all very friendly and approachable. Technically, we were not supposed to be able to book into our room until 2 pm, but seeing as we arrived on the early morning flight and got to Club Raro at about 8.30-9.00 am, we were given a voucher enabling us to have some breakfast and allowed to relax in the resort while waiting for our room to be ready. After a short wait, relaxing in the reception area, we were taken to our beachfront room. Our room, which looked directly out onto the ocean, was clean and fresh. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the room had all the amenities that you would expect - air con, small fridge, kettle, coffee/tea, etc. The only thing we found was that the room could become a little stale-smelling when locked up for any length of time due to no ventilation in the bathroom. Meals from the restaurant were all delicious, with a great variety of choices. And with breakfast being available until 11 am each day made for a leisurely morning if we wanted to lie in bed a bit longer. The cocktail menu was extensive as well as delicious. We hired a car, picking it up from the airport after we landed, but there is a Polynesian Car Hire desk at the club, and we would highly recommend getting a car or scooter to get around. There is a free shuttle bus between Club Raro and sister resort The Edgewater. We would definitely recommend Club Raro Resort for those looking for an adults-only getaway.

We stayed here for the night after returning from Aitutaki and returning home. I had stayed here prior to covid so wanted to see what it was like as an adults only resort now. Hubby had the buffet dinner which he enjoyed, I ordered a seafood pizza which was nice, but enough for two. We stayed in a newish room which was fine, but had no tv and was very close to the road, so you did hear cars going past. The outdoor sitting area and pool looked very nice. The buffet breakfast was probably the best in our stay in the Cook Islands. I would stay here again.

The shower is need of desperately cleaning. Mould all round the silicone. Weird smell coming from room. The sheets and pillows need change. Pillows inside has turn yellow. The hand basin needs to be change. It’s glass but silicone has turn black. Staff’s are amazing and very friendly. The property and view is amazing. The room which I booked was not given to me but ocean view was given. When seated in-front of the room could not see ocean as the plant in-front was covering the view, so if the plant is cut up to size will give amazing view. The staff had no explanation why the room I booked was not given. Check in time told to me was 2pm but room was not ready until 3pm. Explanation given was that new cleaner hired is not to speed. Ants were all over wall inside which climbs to bed.
