The room was very clean but all amenities were not replenished even when asked. The staff were wonderful especially at both restaurants. The food was delicious - lunch & dinner menus could be more varied. The beach/lagoon were fabulous. Very relaxing stay after a hectic tour of Australia & NZ.

From the organization of airport transfers to the unbeatable location just about everything was memorable about our stay. Staff were excellent in their responses to all our queries. The island buses are a bonus as a convenient tour and shopping experience.
One personal issue is that our bed was a little on the soft side compared to what we are used to.

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at the Pacific Resort Rarotonga. It is in a great location on the beach and the rooms are spacious with large bathrooms. All staff were incredibly friendly. We ate dinner at Sandals every night and enjoyed the food. We would definitely stay here again.

I recently celebrated my 50th birthday at the restaurant, and it was truly unforgettable. The staff completely surprised me with a joyful birthday serenade, accompanied by a beautiful dessert platter and candle. Their singing was so heartfelt and genuine—it overwhelmed me with emotion and made me feel deeply appreciated and loved.

To the duty manager, Noel, and every member of the team: thank you for taking those few minutes out of your busy evening to create such a special moment for me. Your warmth and kindness made my night, and this memory will forever hold a special place in my heart. You all are amazing—thank you for going above and beyond. You absolutely rock!

As a 2 day stopover, our time to explore Rarotonga was cut short due to a problem with hot water and at very short notice was to have our bags packed to relocate to another room. Within moments, staff were at the door to help us with our bags. With little time and wet clothes and washing, everything got mixed. A little more time to get things together would have definitely helped!!!

After a restless night the first night (as we do), with a change of rooms had yet another - In fact worse, as the pillows were far less comfortable than the first, amongst other things.

Having booked here partly for the convenience of laundry facilities, first load of washing the machine halted (due to power and not related to their laundry hours) and then we had a load stop, still filled - But with filthy dirty water. Having to rewash everything again before 7.00 laundry cutoff time, meant we missed our evening out.

For the cost (and in comparison to the amazing Pacific Resort at Aitutaki), sadly this fell very short for us and in turn our brief visit to Rarotonga.

The properties architecture is fully integrated in the breathtaking gardens.
We used this property 25 years ago for our wedding and came back for our anniversary.
I our opinion the pacific resort is the closest you can get to paradise on earth.

Place very dated (cramped restaurant area) and plenty of stray dogs to bother you at mealtimes. There’s no poolside service or room service either with a crowded uninspired breakfast buffet. Cocktails taste watered down. Good if you have kids though as lagoon just there.

We loved our stay at the Pacific resort. The location is perfect with most rooms just steps away from the lagoon. The resort is lovely, the rooms are high quality and have all the amenities that you need. We were impressed with the helpful and friendly staff. We lived every moment of our stay and will definitely be back.

We just loved our stay here. We stayed in a pool suit which we would highly recommend but book early there the only 2. The bed was enormous and the aircon was super cold which was critical considering it was humid without much breeze, which as a surprise.

The food is generally good. I would not say excellent although the lamb was very good. The pizzas are very basic, calamari was good, breakfast was satisfactory to good. But steak, they don’t do steak will at all. I gave it a go twice and on both occasions, it was a small portion of either very overcooked or very undercooked steak that was served cold.

The first steak was well done when I asked for medium. It was very dry. The second’s team was seared on both sides and served blue, when I had asked for medium. Look steak is not theirs thing and that’s ok, there are plants of other things to eat there.

The bikes
One of our favorite parts of staying here was the personal push bikes. We rode from our unit to dinner and breakfast and it was very enjoyable.

The pool. We had a private pool suite. We recalled enjoyed this as we had a huge villa, direct access to the lagoon and a pool. The pool, unfortunately, was covered in black spot mould.

The staff are very kind, friendly and attentive. Shout out to

Ron for keeping the whole show running in reception and for his responsiveness.
Jocy and Luke the boys from Fiji who took care of us at meal times and Mary the Masseuse who found knots others had missed.

Had a wonderful stay at Pacific resort! First and foremost, The staff is just amazing. They would always help if you need anything. They offered us early check in and check out and we are free to use their facilities before our check out. The breakfast is great! Lots of options. The kayaking is fun and there is swimming pool. There is area for kids to play. The location is perfect. Lots to do within walking distance. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Rarotonga!

The hotel and staff were great. Beach is nice and close to the snorkel cruise boats. The lagoon is shallow and good for easy dip or swim although sometimes water is quite warm. Hotel is easy walk to night market, and local store, or easy bus ride to other areas on the island.

The position has to be the most beautiful part of the entire island. Waking up in paradise to the crystal clear water,and watching whale breach off the outer reef is breathtaking. The staff are all amaxing. Beautiful beachfront dining is amazing. Right next door to the muri night markets. Also the overwater cultural show and dinner is the other side of this beautiful resort.

A very noisy resort with few quiet place to relax

A great beach to be on with lots nearby. A good number of chairs on the beach (but there are no umbrellas) and good seating around the pool.
We had a deluxe 2 bedroom villa and this had a full kitchen and plenty of room, in and around the villa. The bathrooms were beautiful and the air-conditioning was good. There is also an adequate espresso machine in the unit.
But, you can't get away from the noise of children (and their mothers). There is really no quiet place. The facilities are also possible a bit inadequate for a resort of this size. The food also is overpriced for the quality.
I would not like to be in this resort on a rainy day as there is no games room or place to hang out. The departure lounge (and toilet) are also too small and uncomfortable for a resort of this size.

We loved this resort! The staff and amenities were amazing! We were able to SUP every morning in the gorgeous lagoon, then eat a fabulous continental style breakfast, kayak out to the island and snorkel until the afternoon! So much fun! The food at the resort restaurant is really good! Breakfast is included and the non-motorized water activities, too! They even have water shoes for you if you need them! Can’t say enough nice things about this resort!

Great location, clean units, great to have Barefoot Bar onsite and reasonably good breakfast. Shuttle from airport didn't show up. Welcome at resort was just okay. We came from the Aitutaki Pacific Resort so this was nowhere near the same experience.
Just okay and recommend if you get a good special. The price we paid was too high for the experience.

Nice location but extremely slow and inefficient service. Having lunch takes 90 minutes minimum. We were gone for 5 hours from 10 am to 3 pm but housekeeping showed up after we were back and then did a shoddy 5 minute job where all they did was replace the towels and take out the trash.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Having free use of the kayaks and snorkeling gear was super fun, and we enjoyed the little classes at the beach hut, as well. The resort is very pretty. Our plane didn't leave until around midnight, and they couldn't have been more accommodating with letting us use the resort facilities until it was time to leave for the airport. Loved it.

Nicest Hotel/Resort on Muri Beach!

The grounds we extremely well maintained with a large staff working on the grounds, streams, raking the beach every day. The hotel had pathways to every room, dinning, and pool with tropic plantings that hid each of the rooms. Absolutely beautiful! The staff we very friendly in all aspects (dinning, room service, bar and recreational areas). Our mattress was too soft so I asked the room maid if we could get a firmer mattress. That day a new firm mattress was installed that was perfect for my back. What ever you wanted, the staff was there to help. The meals were cooked to perfection and our bungalow on the beach was the best on all of the resorts on Muri Beach by far. The other hotels for lunch and dinner had a few patrons but the beach lunch and dinning at Pacific Resort was always books with a live musician play all through dinner Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. I highly recommend this resort to anyone who want a tropical Polynesian pacific vacation.

Clean, modern, new accommodation in an idyllic loc

The Cook Islands are what Hawaii once was. Pacific Resort was a wonderful resort style hotel. Gardens are beautiful. Staff very and genuinely friendly. Rooms have Android TV movies, for free, beautifully modern bathrooms and new airconditioners. Spotlessly clean. Restaurant has a wide variety of good food choices. Not cheap but you cannot expect cheap food in such an isolated place. Only black spot on the holiday was Virgin Australia flight from Auckland - plane had to return to Auckland because it scraped on the runway at take off because it was over loaded. 5 our delay meant arriving at 3 am AND to top it off, most passengers had missing luggage. Ours was only delivered to the resort 2 days later! Fly Air New Zealand if you can.

The Pacific Resort, Raro was an incredible destination for our stay in the Cook Islands. The beach access from our room was great, with great rooms and we loved having free access to the paddle boards, kayaks, and snorkel equipment since the lagoon is RIGHT there.
Was slightly disappointed about the dining experiences, as even in a half-full restaurant, reservations were required for both lunch and dinner in order to eat at the Barefoot Bar. Showing up without a reservation meant you got seated as far away from the water as possible, but calling ahead by an hour meant you got one of those premier ocean-front tables. Made no sense to us, just had to know to call ahead by an hour for dinner (again, regardless of restaurant capacity).
Would gladly stay here again.

Charming Polynesian Resort even 15 years later

The Muri beach and lagoon is beautiful and the Resort blends in well. We have stayed here before many years ago and were delighted that it has been maintained well.

Towels could be renewed and the breakfast buffet could be varied for interest but otherwise no disappointments.

Spa facility is off site but was a good experience. The option to have Massage outdoors under the palms at the resort would have been nice.

Loved it!:) wish we had stayed longer than 2 nights!
Really great staff, beautiful rooms and fabulous cocktails!
Free laundry and washing powder a great touch.
Need free wifi tho....

Great location

Perfect location in Raratonga, great beach. The hotel was nice but let down a little by ageing buildings and not particularly friendly or professional staff. Having spent time in Fiji on another holiday the staff could use a dose of their hospitality and care for tourists, we loved the beach but won’t be back
