From the moment we arrived, the experience was seamless. Check-in was quick and effortless, setting the tone for a wonderful stay. The service throughout our visit was excellent, with every member of the staff being genuinely warm, welcoming, and attentive.

The location couldn’t be better—right on the beach with stunning turquoise waters and views of the little motus (islands) just offshore. Restaurants and cafes are just a short walk away, making it easy to enjoy local flavors without hassle.

One of the highlights was being able to take the complimentary kayaks out onto the lagoon—an unforgettable way to explore the beauty right at our doorstep. The entire atmosphere was relaxed yet refined, striking the perfect balance.

A very special thanks to the management team for going the extra mile to make our stay memorable. Their thoughtful touches and personalized service truly stood out.

Fabulous villa, great location.

Great property in a very good location. Extremely well appointed, with all you would need. Villas 21 & 22 fab for more privacy. Use of washing machines for free is a fabulous touch. Local paper delivery every morning also a nice touch. Night market right next door, very good food and little grocery store next to that very handy.

Right on Muri lagoon. Self contained villas. Excellent facilities. All equipment is free to use with no time limits or \"signing out\". Wifi is also free for guests. Breakfast pack provided daily with cereal and bread for toast. It's basic but great for just getting you going for the day.

Excellent alternative to a resort. Will be back.

Nice units near the beach with snorkel and kayaking gear provided. The pool was nice and surrounded by tropical plants, but it’s not a lap pool. The staff are lovely. We really appreciated the lounge with an honor bar, although there was also a very convenient 24-hour store nearby that had basic groceries, wine and beer and the best roast chicken for takeaway. The Muri Night Market is right next door, so we had dinner there several times. The only thing I would note is that our room was a lot more dated than the photos online, so you might want to ask for one of their renovated rooms. Also, the bed was pretty hard, but some people like that. All in all, it was a great stay.

Great place to stay if you prefer self contained room style accommodation. There are no dining facilities here but there are a few options nearby within walking distance including the food night markets right next door, a cafe for morning coffees across the road, the sailing club restaurant 30 meters down the beach (ate here a couple of times, it’s pretty good), a convenience store and takeaways also 20-30 meters away.

Rooms were clean and had everything you need. Staff were very friendly, helpful and hospitable. Muri beach and lagoon is amazing. Golden sand and crystal clear water with lots of amazing sea life around if you like snorkeling. We saw and swam with turtles right out in front of the accomodation every day. Masks, snorkels, reef shoes, SUPs, kayaks, bikes are all provided free of charge for guests which we found to be awesome! Swam in the pool once, it was nice but the beach is really where it’s at.

It’s a vibrant spot with lots of activity going on. There are lagoon tour operators either side of the Muri Beachcomber so you get to see and hear the shows they put on on the beach before they head off a couple of times a day. The drums and singing adds to the cultural feel and atmosphere of the area. Despite all the activity we didn’t feel like there was too much going on. We were still able to relax on the deck chairs, soak up the sun and picturesque views if that’s what we felt like doing.

Found no faults during our stay, highly recommend it.

This is a great place to visit as a group each unit has a kitchenette and theres bbqs outside each room with tables and chairs outside great for big cook up with friends , theres a few supermarkets for buying meat etc or take it with you if going from NZ, , lots of local places to walk to for food or hire a car/vans so easy to drive around and cars arent expensive just look around for prices, rent from somewhere local to where your staying nornally cheaper than airport,

Wonderful location right on Muri Beach. Facility offered free kayaks and sup boards. We used the kayaks twice to reach the motus and do our snorkeling closer to the reef. Room was very spacious and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

The beachfront villa is very nice and the location is very convenient. The villa is verry spacious, modern, clean and the bed is very comfortable. I hired a car to give the flexibility to get up and go whenever and wherever I wanted to go.
There is a bus pickup every hour available out the front between certain hours

We loved this place. Quiet, with very personable service and a great view of the ocean. Staff even went out of their way to arrange a coconut opening demonstration. Although we didn’t take advantage, there was access to all sorts of beach/ocean equipment and the property was within walking distance of several restaurants and bars. We were also grateful for the free WiFi and optional streaming services.

Beautiful property, self-contained so you can stick to your own timetable to eat/drink. A few steps from a crystal clear lagoon, island and sandy beaches. Choose to kayak, SUP, snorkel, swim etc. Has a deck overlooking the water for watching the sunrise, sunbaking or for your afternoon drinks.

Loved this place. Muri night markets are literally right next door with fantastic food and atmosphere. Lagoon is awesome, heaps to do in the Muri area as well including a little bit of shopping and great food options. Staff were awesome, and our garden unit pool side was a dream for watching the kids in the pool from our deck. We will definitely be back.

Muri Beachcomber is situated right next to the Muri Night Markets which is super handy. There are a number of other eating options in walking distance which is great. The staff are super helpful and friendly. Would recommend this as a great accommodation option for your next stay in Rarotonga.

Perfect position to carry out activities and eat out, the island is only small so doesn't take long to get anywhere, decor and buildings a little bit dated - when you put you label in the door the cleaner just did what they wanted. Roosters are very loud and should be culled as they woke you very early. The wifi is non-existent. Shame that the Beachcomer doesn't have more in-house activities like some of the other resorts did. Very friendly staff and helpful.

The property is right at the beach and they have complimentary snorkel gear , kayaks , paddle boards and bikes available. People are very nice and helpful. Lotus ponds are beautiful. Overall, a wonderful experience to stay there . Good coffee place across the street, another breakfast place near by as well as some restaurants and a grocery store and a market place for local food.

Great location on Muri Beach. Our bungalow was a few steps from the beach & lagoon. The night market is open four night per week, which is great for dinner and is literally next door! Groceries and ATM 100 feet away. Good options for dining close by as well. Our bungalow was clean, comfortable with AC in the bedroom.

Idyllic and convenient location! Absolute beachfront with a bus stop out front, the night market next door, and easy walking distance to shops, cafes, restaurants, ATM's and a very good museum. Beautiful lagoon out front. which is great for swimming and snorkeling and for enjoying on the paddleboards and kayaks provided. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, with a comfortable bed and great shower. Having a kitchen means you can cook your own meals when you want to. The friendly, helpful staff are always happy to provide information and assist with any arrangements. So, to sum up, you will find everything you need for a great holiday at the Muri Beachcomber!

This is a really great place to stay, close to night market, small supermarket, bus stop, nice accommodation, with everything you need, we were in a beachfront unit, everything that we wanted was at hand, staff were excellent. This property deserves more than 3 stars. It is a beautifully kept, well situated spot the cottages are spotless, the huge beds are so comfortable and you are right on the most beautiful spot of Muri beach. Staff are warm and friendly always ready to help. I think we have found a hidden gem with this accommodation. So many places to eat within easy walking distance along the beach or road and having the night market next door is a plus. Thank you to the staff for cleaning our cottage everyday and replenishing our breakfast supplies daily too. We will be returning guests without a doubt. 10/10

Fantastic location right in the heart of Muri (down a long drive behind the night market). Very handy to great cafe's/bakeries and restaurants, bus stop right out the front and car/scooter rental directly over the road. Staff were super helpful and friendly and great to have our villa cleaned and supplies re-stocked every day. Use of the bikes, kayaks and paddleboards was great for exploring. Can't fault it - will definitely be back!

We had a seaview in a self contained unit. So we could make our own breakfast and snacks when we wanted. Lovely position just above the beach and in easy walking to restaurants. Free kayaks and Sups was great. Very quiet except for neighbourhood roosters! A very good value property and literally a 30 second saunter onto the sand!

Location of this property was perfect.
Some of the staff were very welcoming and friendly, although there were some that were just rude!
Muri Beachcomber doesn't really classify as a Resort - other than it has a pool! However they had bikes and water equipment that were there to use - free of charge which was great!
Our room was only once serviced in the 10 days we were there and that was by request. Very dated and dirty - in much need of a makeover.
The photos obviously are very old!?

Great stay at Muri. Right on the beach with access to kayaks, paddle boards and snorkling equipment. I even had a scuba diving lesson in the pool. We also had access to bikes which were great for getting around the island.
The accommodation is self contained but a continental breakfast is supplied each day. Plenty of fresh towels, including pool towels. We had a beach view cabin and that is exactly what we saw- Muri Lagoon.
The best asset of Muri Beachcomber’s is their staff. So friendly, helpful and happy to do what they can to make your stay pleasant.

A gem in the heart of Muri

We stayed in a seaview room closest to the ocean and loved seeing the lagoon and hearing the waves crashing on the reef in the distance. We watched the folks board the lagoon cruises every morning at 10am and 11am. The room was very comfortable; I was worried the king-sized bed would be too firm for me but I had no problems sleeping at all! The fans in the room are amazing (there is one each in the living space and the bedroom) and work well for blocking out noise. We never were awoken by roosters or dogs. The ladies at the front desk are so nice and eager to help! I appreciated the information they posted each day by the office (weather, sunrise/sunset times, tide times, activities). My partner purchased internet and it worked well in our room until the last couple of days so he wasn't able to use it up all the way. The location was perfect--bus stop out front, lots of places to eat nearby including the popular night market. An ATM and 24 hour store with some groceries is right there too. We loved our stay and hope to be back!

Some of the staff were a little grumpy, eg when asked for extra towels (one each when I have long hair is not enough ) it was I was asking for the impossible. Staff took our towels for washing while we were having breakfast out on the deck but didn't replace them until lunch, we couldn't shower before going out.

Proximity to night market meant you could take your meal back to your room, or on the deck seaside, if market crowded.
Take some ear plugs as 🐓 roosters make their presence known all along the beach, and the neighborhood 🐕 dogs are really friendly.
Receptionists were excellent and very accommodating.

Laid-back comfortable stay at Muri Beach.

We stayed 3 nights here. The airport pick up return was great. Our apartment was right next to the beach. Although an older-style, it had everything we needed. It was clean, spacious and the bed was comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. Basic breakfast ingredients were provided. There were a few dining options within a few minutes' walk, including the Night Market next door (certain nights), as well a several places for coffee. We were able to take a kayak onto the lagoon and over to some of the little islands nearby. The island bus stopped just outside the property. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Great relaxing getaway.
The room is good and clean, free kayaks/paddleboards - awesome, location - great!
Stuff very friendly and helpful.
Pre-check-in and post-check-out arrangements are great.
Only one thing I wish can be improved - clean the pool more often to remove the foliage :-)
