The Edgewater Resort & Spa is located on six acres of lush tropical beachside, sheltered on the western coast of Rarotonga. This resort is a convenient base for exploring the island, situated 15.

5km from Muri Beach and just 1. 6km from Nikao Beach.

Guests can indulge in massages, body treatments, and facials at the on-site Akaora Spa & Salon. For recreation, the resort offers an outdoor tennis court, bicycle rentals and daily cultural activities.

There were plumbing issues. After every shower, the drains would block and would take a long time before the shower water would clear, and it stunk the whole bathroom out. Around the outside of the Mitiaro building, it stunk like sewage, constantly. There seemed to be staff shortages, two days in a row without room service. I still love Rarotonga and would most definitely return. But I think there can by far be room for improvement.

The public bus stopped right at the property, which was very convenient. Good location, not too far from the airport. Packaged our breakfast to go, since we had a very early flight. Lots of activities for families with kids.

Rooms are beautiful and clean. The resort is absolutely amazing. However the restaurant has very slow service, over half of the waiting staff were rude or ignorant. Meals were forgotten, drinks could take up too 30min to receive. Sometimes at at the table for over 30min waiting for service after being sent away from the service desk to order our meals. The service desk lady was rude. But the operation manager was amazing at trying to resolve the issues and was clearly dissappointed with the service her team were providing.
Still an amazing stay and i would definitely return but i would just eat out instead of at the resort

We enjoyed our stay at the Edgewater. We loved the pool and dining area layout and having ocean views and a beautiful sunset each day. The only thing that let our whole experience down was the food. We were very disappointed with the food every time we ordered and the drinks were expensive too. The rooms were nice for the price we paid so overall we were happy.

Lovely stay at The Edgewater. Fantastic property near town and many cafes and restaurants.
Great spot for a sunset happy hour at Mal’s bar. Good value for Raro.
We also enjoyed a great afternoon cocktail at their sister property Club Raro which was also a great place.

We've stayed here before which is why we came back. Rooms are immaculate, we had a great view of the ocean and it was lovely and spacious.
Breakfast is basic but enough and you can order a cooked add on if you want to for a reasonable price.
Cons - parking is sometimes a mission.

This was the third time I have stayed at The Edgewater. It is convenient to both the town and the airport while also being right on the beach. Food was delicious and, for the most of the time, very fast. I would go back again tomorrow with no hesitations.

Highly recommend Edgewater the room was very clean, the staff were so helpful and friendly, the activities were a lot of fun and the restaurant is very reasonably priced.

We had an amazing holiday here at the Edgewater - it was clean, quiet (we were in the 400 block overlooking the water) and very comfortable. Our room was well maintained and the bed was super.
The breakfast was underwhelming, some fresh and canned fruit, very runny tasteless yoghurt, sloppy bircher muesli, toast (including gluten free) and multiple trays of cakes!!! The coffee was stewed and bitter. Having said that the lunches and dinners offered plenty of variety and were of good quality.
One small pool for such a large resort was inadequate, and we found it was overtaken with children and not really adult friendly. Perhaps an extra pool, adults only? might be in order.
Despite the negatives, we made the best of our stay.

Beautiful location, kind staff, property under construction and quite dated. The worst wifi ever had to go into town to get on Vodafone( crazy expensive) for my 3 day work zoom meeting.
If you want to disconnect this is the place to come wifi okay at the restaurant and lobby useless in the room. The food okay but after a week tiring, menu lots of fried food, one night I ordered oysters and prawns( theme night) the oysters were iffy and they forgot to bring the prawns. The pool is small full of happy noisy children but they do have a shuttle to their sister hotel which is adults only. I took the local bus around the Island and I would pick Muri beach as easier swimming, beautiful beach and safe especially if you have kids. All in all a great trip thanks to the staff for making a wonderful week in paradise

The staff were friendly and welcoming and we were able to get an early check-in to our room which was greatly appreciated. We had a lagoon facing room and the view was stunning. Room for improvement would include the wifi signal as it drops in the bedroom and the common areas, and we also picked up a couple of snorkels where the straps needed some maintenance. The continental breakfast included was ok, quite sweet tooth heavy though.

Our two couples rented two Oceanside rooms at this classic South Pacific resort. The rooms were not fancy, but the overhead fan and air conditioning worked well and the view of the Lagoon and ocean was perfect. The beach and Lagoon were readily accessible; we enjoyed them daily. The pool was smaller than expected, and usually filled with families and their children. No problem for us as we came for the ocean and the beaches. The continental breakfast included in your stay was excellent and more than enough. We did pay for some additional breakfast items which were uniformly excellent. The lunch selections were also very good. The dinner shows were a lot of fun. The buffet meals that came with the shows were uneven. happy hour drinks from 5 to 6 PM and from 8 to 9 PM were definitely the best deal if you wanted to keep your bar tab to a minimum. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and felt that we got good value, and the South Pacific Island experience we were looking for.

Has a beautiful pool, kid friendly, can swim from the hotel, the bus stop is at the reception, have towels, snorkels etc. Also has air conditioning in the room.

The first night was terrible stink of damp and the floors were wet from the damp. There were renovations on the side of our room and the area where to go to our room was un safe. Making it a hazard. I asked to change rooms as we had a child who suffers from asthma. The staff were accomodating and very helpful all the staff are ki d helpful and respectful. The resort itself needs improvements especially when your advertising that your a resort very old and needs up grading.
Towels are old and tattered. I won’t be coming back to Edgewater resort.

This is a bit outdated but it’s a great place for a quick overnight if continuing on to the islands. I say the value and the staff are superb! They are very accommodating so don’t let the continual upkeep stray you far! Plus they are adding more to the property so it’s growing!

The cleaner that looked after our room was fantastic it was so lovely to come back to our room to find our bed made and fresh towels to start our day, they work really hard to make your stay comfortable, she was all ways smiling and happy to see us, the restaurant staff were all ways happy and friendly, we were really impressed with the grounds so clean, one thing I must add the price for the washers and dryer was up there in price $20 for wash dry and soap can get expensive for families, but we had a fantastic stay will definitely be back for our fourth stay in the future, 😊

the room was ok....our main concern was when we sat outside in front of the bar the service was terrible. it took 25-30 mins to finally get our drink on several occasions.....friday 21 nov we had a meal there and knew the fire show was coming on so asked for our bill....it didnt come so we went to watch the show...after the show we went to pay out bill and nobody could help us and there werent any table numbers....we asked again in the morning and were told no they didnt have a bill for us....we went back the following night and the poor waiter come over to us and told us he had to pay out of his own pocket....he asked for the money wich was $95....my partner didnt like paying him cash but we didnt have any choice....then the next drink when we wanted to charge it to the room they said we had no credit.......we thought this was because of the earlier incident......but after asking questions and getting answers they said it was a standard procedure......we were never told that when we checked in and we asked a couple of other people near us and they said yes it happened to them as well.....it put a dampner on our stay there and we only wished there were table numbers where we were sitting have a great day,,,,phil price
