My boyfriend and I stayed at Lomani Resort and Spa for two nights. We stayed in a beachfront bure. The house was spacious, clean, and private. The resort itself is beautiful- the pool was the perfect temp and there were plenty of loungers/daybeds available. The food was delicious and the drinks were fantastic. I had the pleasure of visiting the spa two times during my stay and both treatments were amazing! We also took advantage of the free reef snorkeling trip and were amazed by the variety and abundance of fish we saw. The staff were friendly, professional, and warm. Everyone we encountered went out of their way to have a chat and get to know us. It truly made us feel special. I would recommend Lomani resort without hesitation and cannot wait to go back!!

A beautiful modern resort with spotless bedrooms. The bedroom has a good basic espresso machine but the air-conditioning unit wasn't great.
The pool in the resort has amazing (free) cabanas to sit in. The resort also offered a free snorkelling trip.
Dinners and lunches are good but breakfast is poor.

Lomani was wonderful, so relaxing and the staff make you feel like family!
We had evening meals in the restaurant and loved the food, they made a big effort to have Fijian cooking available.
Each night a couple of guitarists sang for us and we were lucky to be there on the evening of the Fijian dancing and fire show....great!
Wish we could have stayed more nights but they were fully booked.
Would love to come back.

From the moment we arrived at The Lomani Resort on Mololo Island, our experience was nothing short of magical. As the boat pulled up to the island, we were greeted by a chorus of team members singing a beautiful Fijian welcome song. This heartfelt greeting set the tone for the incredible week ahead and left us feeling both overwhelmed and excited.

Upon arrival we were welcomed ashore with traditional bead necklaces and whisked away in a golf cart to the resort. Arriving at Lomani Resort, we were instantly welcomed in warmth and hospitality. Chairs awaited us in the lobby, accompanied by refreshing fresh coconut juice and moist towels to freshen up—just what we needed after our journey. Jesse greeted us with such genuine warmth that it brought tears to my eyes. Every member of the staff we encountered throughout our stay was fabulous, leaving us speechless with their kindness and attentiveness.

Our beachfront room was a dream come true, complete with a private small pool. While the pool was a bit chilly for my taste, I found solace on the daybed, which we utilized multiple times each day to watch breathtaking sunsets, enjoy the gentle waves, and indulge in afternoon naps. The room itself was stunning and incredibly comfortable, but the highlight was undoubtedly the outdoor stone shower. Showering under the open sky while surrounded by coconut trees and the sweet sounds of birds was an unforgettable experience.

We spent a week at Lomani Island Resort to celebrate my husband’s special birthday, and it truly exceeded our expectations. This boutique, adults-only resort is a quiet, peaceful, and beautifully

The staff are are friendly, polite, and genuinely attentive. They even left a lovely birthday message together with a gift voucher organised from Canada on the bed—no fuss, just thoughtful gestures that made all the difference.

The accommodation is clean, spacious, and very private. perfect for those seeking a more intimate, upmarket island experience. Despite the understated photos on the website, Lomani is far more beautiful and luxurious in person than the images suggest.

The new spa facility is stunning. We were pleasantly surprised by the sauna—who would have thought of such an experience in Fiji?

Breakfast offers a modest buffet but is backed by an extensive à la carte menu, with every dish being excellent. However, we were surprised that no coffee was included with breakfast.

Also, an early morning lawn mower before 8am disrupted the otherwise peaceful start to the day.

There were a few small hiccups: communication between reception, beach table staff, and the snorkelling tour team could be improved, and we couldn’t get iPad TV mirroring to work in our room. That said, the in-room WiFi was fast, even if it was a little slower in the common areas.

Despite a few minor issues, Lomani Island Resort remains, in our opinion, the best resort on Malolo Lailai. It’s a real gem

It’s paradise. You are invited to switch off and spend the day by the pool, at the beach, on the hammock or day beds if you want to do some activities, there are plenty free and paid to choose from. Staff is attentive and friendly, but most importantly, seem to be genuinely happy to work for the Resort, what definitely counts for the whole experience.

Lomani was an excellent, quiet, and romantic stay. The staff were amazing and knew our names! The food was good. Resort is small but very well designed. Take the short hike to the lookout point and then down the hill to walk along the secluded beach (we had the entire beach to ourselves!). The snorkeling is included and it was excellent - such variety and clear water! We stayed in the beachfront bure and enjoyed everything about it. You can relax in private, or go relax by the pool. Highly recommend staying here!

They we very accomadating and went out of their way to make Claire and my honeymoon an amazing experience. We both highly recommended this resort for those wishing to unwind, experience culture and paradise. It is also has great access to other areas on the island and the activities are amazing/loads of fun. Finally the bliss of having no kids around is great as you can go at your pace or Fiji time. Definitely worth having 2 weeks without kids when your job is teaching. 5 stars all round.

Lomani was the perfect place to spend our honeymoon! The staff really made our trip so enjoyable! All the staff called us by our name and were so friendly and kind. We enjoyed the live singing during dinner, the welcome coconuts and the beautiful farewell song. The resort facilities were impeccable and the rooms were spacious, , comfortable and stylish. The tours at the resort were fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed the cloud 9 tour and especially the snorkel tour. We will be recommending Lomani to all our friends & family and we are looking forward to our return at Lomani!

We booked the bure with a private plunge pool and I must say, I think it is one of the best rooms we have stayed at.

The room itself is great, the private plunge pool is topped up every day and the setup makes it seem like you are in a private area all the way to the beach.

The views from the room are so good you can sit on the bed, look over the patio, grass and beach and watch sunset (or you can walk down to watch it every night).

The hotel food is good and room service is great.

Beach is tidal, so low tide you won't be swimming in the ocean, but the main pool is great. High tide is great for snorkelling and their underwater museum.

The spa was great, my wife had 3 pregnancy massages while we were there and I had 1.

The surf trip was great and takes a few hours. Free paddle boarding, kayaking etc is great too.

Staff are friendly, welcoming and entertaining.

I was tossing up a few different places for our babymoon and this was amazing.

100% recommend. Its a short trip from the main land and I recon of the places I have stayed in Fiji this was the best.

Good get away if you want somewhere nice and relaxing for your stay. Staff are very friendly. Enjoyed the outdoor shower. Beautiful views and lots of activities to choose from. Dinnning options are slightly limited during our stay as there is a fine dining closed for maintenance. The coconut water served is always nice and chill. Beach is fun and there are a variety of equipments to borrow which is an absolute highlight. The only down side are the bugs and mosquitoes but they kindly provided repellent. Me and my friend enjoyed the stay for sure! Already recommended to my others friend who are planning to go to Fiji next year.

A beautiful place to stay and enjoy the Fiji climate and friendly Fijians. Just a few details would make it perfect, like cushion covers on the outdoor seats and speeding up the Wifi.

I cannot even begin to describe the level of exceptional hospitality this resort has. I came for vacation but I also planned for a proposal and the staff was extremely helpful in making our big night one to never forget. Even if it was just for vacationing purposes, all staff go above and beyond to make sure your stay feels like home. Aside from this the facility is well kept, the rooms are adorable, and the food is delicious. This truly is a place to disconnect. With only having 30 rooms, it never feels overcrowded and you really get to know the staff on a more personal level(even guests too!)l. By the time we left, everyone knew our names, knew we had gotten engaged and made sure to congratulate us, and any issues or interests were always followed up with a response. The free daily water activities were a huge plus and I loved being able to ride the bikes around the island. I would highly suggest this resort to anyone looking to get away and relax . We were so sad to leave and we truly felt like part of a family.

If I had to suggest anything (which is hard to come up with) , I’d say to double check offered activities before your stay because not all activities happen every day. We were looking forward to going to cloud 9 since it’s close by but didn’t realize it wasn’t offered every day so we never got to see it, but there was still plenty to do otherwise.

We had a flight canceled due to cyclone in Auckland. We were rebooked 2 days later. We had 3 days booked at Lomani. Expedia had spoke to them, I messaged the resort 4 times, but they still called us a no show and canceled whole stay, including last the night we could have used. No refund or credit. And they never messaged me back once.

We stayed for a week at Lomani as a couple. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly and the accommodation itself is absolutely stunning. The photos of the beachfront bures do not do them justice. The island is easy walkable, but the staff will give you a lift to and from anywhere you need also. The only downfall of the experience is the Lomani restaurant menu was a bit lacking, and all restaurants on the island had issues offering the full range of dishes on the menu. The breakfast is included with all rooms, but there is little variety and it quickly gets old. Options for "healthier" snacks and drinks/mixers in any of the stores was very limited. The bar made excellent cocktails for 25-35 FJD each, and local beer can be purchased for 10 FJD each. The included activities are really great and contribute a lot to the value of the resort. I would happily come back although I would take some mixers and liquor from the mainland, and eat at the other restaurants on the island a bit more.

We had an amazing time at Lomani. We stayed for 4 nights to celebrate my partner’s 40th birthday.
The facilities are outstanding, the views and beach are beautiful. We had a pool bure room and it was above expectations. This place is a gem and totally recommend it.

The staff was super friendly and helped me a lot to prepare surprises for my partner. Special thanks to Ronald, Fulori, Vivita, Mereisi, Bale, and Kris. Thank you so much for your kind attention, you made our stay very special.

We thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quite this resort offers. Pool and beachside seats were really nice. The activities offered were good, no dolphins were seen but ended up doing the reef snorkeling which was amazing. Staff were the best and hospitality like nothing else. The roomwe stayed in could do with a bit of upgrade. The Farewell song was a nice gesture at the end and really completed the experience.

This is a beautiful property, even better than the photos I think. The property was beautifully laid out, very elegant, fantastic pool and beach. Service was great, really friendly people; the general manager Shelley meets every guest personally at some point in their stay. The room was very spacious, tastfully decorated and clean, nice bathroom, the outdoor shower was particularly nice. The room was set back a bit from the beach for some privacy with a beautiful private lawn but very accessible to a nice soft sand beach. Snorkeling trips that are included went to fantastic coral reefs with abundance of colorful fish and sea life. Lots of other sports equipment available. Restaurant food was good, really elegant ambiance for adults. No screaming kids in the pool. Even better than expected stay. Hands down this is the best place to stay on Malolo LaiLai (if you aren't bringing kids); one of the best places in Fiji.

Unbelievable property and amenities!

A cut above the rest! Absolutely stunning property and views of the ocean and it’s beautiful turquoise waters from every room! Loved being only a few steps away from the pristine beach. The free snorkeling, dolphin safari, hand line fishing and village tour were fabulous! Having paddle-boards, bikes, kayaks and a sailboat to use for free was amazing! Food was excellent! It was so special to be serenaded on arrival both at the port and hotel and again at departure and at the port. I had many questions which were answered quickly via email from the hotel staff. I found the staff be the most special part of this hotel experience! They are very cheerful and helpful! Beautiful people! I have fallen in love with Fiji because of this hotel and all it has to offer. My family enjoyed hiking around the entire island. They also loved climbing to the top and viewing the sunrises and sunsets! I would highly recommend this hotel! Sunsets at the hotel were beautiful! Food was excellent! Live music during dinner was awesome! Thoroughly enjoyed the native dance including fire and swords! Do not hesitate to book this property!

The frontline staff (reception, dining, porters and room service) were all amazing. Lovely and kind people.

We needed to amend our stay due to a funeral and were told to wait until Monday (this was on a Saturday) to speak with reservation team. When it got to Monday, reservation team stayed in the office and didn’t come out to meet me. Instead, told me to discuss my issue through email with them. As you can imagine it’s a difficult time and the communication made it a terrible experience.

All water activities were easily accessible and the staff went out of their way to be accommodating.Food was good and breakfasts were something we looked forward to. We spent 6 days of our honeymoon in Fiji at Lomani and it was great. Though expensive relative to other nearby options it provides a level of quality and exclusivity appropriate for the price. We stayed in the beachfront bure without the personal pool. It is low season in Jan/Feb. The personal pool might be nice during high season but we didn't have any need for it as there was plenty of space at the regular pool and beach. The absolute best part of the resort is the food. There is only 1 restaurant onsite but it's 5 star. You can eat at the other nearby resorts though we'll warn you the food at Plantation wasn't very good. Dick's at Musketcove was worth it. The one thing I would improve is the staff attention to detail/offering additional amenities. Overall, highly recommended for couples looking for a quiet romantic experience.

Very disappointed with Lomani. We landed in Fiji to hear all ferry transfers that day had been cancelled and we would need to stay at a cheap hotel in Nadi. We received no further communication from Lomani. The hotel we stayed at arranged our transfer the next day. Upon arrival at Lomani, there was no mention of our missed night of accommodation, and they refused to refund the full day we missed.

The staff, while not unpleasant, were unhelpful on numerous occasions, and seemingly disinterested. We booked Lomani for the activities offered. We understand the cyclone affected some of these activities earlier in our stay, however by the end of our stay, all the other resorts were back out on the water offering lots of activities, and Lomani simply offered snorkelling.

When dining at Lomani, the staff messed up or forgot our orders on several occasions. We were overcharged for the buffet at New Years.

My partner had planned to propose to me at New Years and had booked a beautiful table on the beach for that night. When we arrived, the staff at reception said the table had been cancelled, without any communication, and that wouldn’t be happening tonight. My partner was furious, completely ruining something he had been planning for months!

We found the food at the resort to be average at best. The breakfast buffet was probably the worst I’ve seen, with little to no alternatives.

We stayed in a Beachfront Bure with private pool, and the room itself was lovely.

Memorable stay

As this was our first trip to Fiji we didn't know what to expect. When we arrived at Lomani we realised we had made the right choice. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We stayed in a Beachfront Bungalow which was perfect. It was far enough from Plantation Resort that we couldn't hear any children. And this was school holiday time. The room has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Including a deck where you can enjoy the sunshine (and there was plenty) and direct access to the beach. This meant we went swimming and snorkeling in the sea every day. The outdoor shower was absolutely amazing. We could do as much or as little as we wanted as there were activities every day. We never needed lunch, as the breakfast and dinners we found to be enough. Good choice of meals but I did crave a plain old hamburger. The only thing missing would be more cultural evening entertainment. But the guitarist who played each night at dinner was fantastic. So thank you Lomani for helping us celebrate our Wedding Anniversary in style. We will be back!

The food was great, huge portions. The activities are included in your stay which made things so easy. They will create an itinerary for you if you want to do a lot of stuff. Lomani Island Resort is a perfect stay for couples, right on the beach offering amazing sunsets & snorkeling opportunities. The room was of a high standard with indoor & outdoor showers. The staff were helpful & attentive always the gardens are well kept & the locals did a beach clean whilst we were there. The food was ok but not great & the coffee machine was out of order for a few days but overall I would give it a 7.5/10 Bula

Mayhem at Lomani Malolol Lailai lsland

We had to ask to be moved to a bure away from the noise at night & into the early hours, caused by hundreds of schoolies who take over Plantation Resort for 4 weeks during November & December. Unfortunately, when we booked to stay at Lomani, back in July, management at Lomani did not inform us that this was going to happen, so the accommodation we chose was an apartment closer to Plantation Resort side of Malolo Island. We requested a change of rooms one night after we arrived (Saturday) but because prior bookings, could not move until Wednesday. As Plantation Resort was completely off limits to any guest from Lomani, it meant that the terms & conditions of our package was misrepresented to us. Under the package booked through Hotels.com we were meant to have partner property access to the other facilities at Plantation eg. golf course/tennis courts/dining etc. In light of this we feel Lomai Resort should have advised us about the weeks that Plantation was going to be used as a schoolie party base, & we would have moved our holiday dates to avoid this timeframe. The staff are really nice and food quite limited in choice. A couple of dishes on the menu were not available the whole 8 days we were there.

The villa with the private dipping pool can't be beat. There is more than enough space and it is very quite with great views. The restaurant is very good especially for the included breakfast and lunch. Dinner is a bit pricey for what you get. Take advantage of the free activities, snorkeling and the dolphin safari were amazing.

Relax is a slow quiet atmosphere

Very quiet, but options to visit nearby resorts as well.
Free bike hire which was great as the bike ride around the island area is about 30 mins easy ride.
The pool is cold, but the sea is really warm at higher tides.
The beach is lovely and sandy and no rocks or coral, but the sea can be a bit weedy.
An interesting and pleasant type of holiday maker there, very friendly.
