Great staff, jumping pillow a hit, breakfast was good and good value.

Downside is not being guaranteed upfront to be able to check in before 3pm. For an overnight stay in a 2 bedroom aprtmt and being in at 3pm out by 10am - it's not a long time. Other thing is the requirement to clean the dishes and take out the rubbish. I may as well have not left home...

But overall I enjoyed it and would be back.

This resort was beautiful and in a great location. The room was clean and modern. Beautiful view of the bay from balcony. I would stay there again. Wish they had a late night menu or snacks to purchase. We arrived late after a 9-hour drive and there was nothing open in the immediate area. We went to a McDonald’s (11pm-close) and OTR gas station which was open.

Hired a room for one night. Noise from neighboring room started at about 1am. Smell from their cooking was drifting in our room and wasn't pleasant. Seemed like there was no sound proofing between rooms. We left in the middle of the night and slept in car. Called reception the next morning to mention the issues. No compensation. Will not ever go back.

We really liked the view from our three-bedroom apartment and the location was great. The kids’ playing area was also very good, which was a big plus for our family.

However, the property seriously needs a deep clean. Unfortunately, we found fresh blood stains on our bedsheets on the first night, which showed that the bedding had not been properly changed for new guests. The floor and the balcony were also very dirty.

With better cleaning standards, this place could be much better

We enjoyed the stay being close to Phillip Island but our room was quite grotty and needs a good deep clean. There was mould in the bathrooms and cobwebs and spiders within the apartment itself.

Additionally the door latch was broken and missing from our main entry door.

Also note that this is not a serviced hotel apartment which was my oversight so any cleaning including towels and linen change is at an additional cost.

Whilst the room was relatively clean, there were dead insects stuck on the ceiling, and within the blinds, there were also small scratches and damage to almost every wall in sight, especially on the walkway to the room. It definitely needs some renovations, as I recall this was the issue last time.

Outside of the room, the resort was quite nice, but we faced several issues.

After checking in, we drove to our room, and the keycards didn't work. I then called the reception with no response, ending up having to drive back. Whilst the lady apologised after rescanning the cards, she mentioned to call next time, which I, of course, said I did. It seems she was busy with another customer.

Next was the pool/spa. The spa was freezing cold. I spoke to the reception, who got a guy to check it, and he mentioned it had issues 2 days ago and that they'd call in a maintenance team to fix it. I later found out that was a complete lie and that someone who operated it was on leave, and it appeared no one else knew how.

Finally, my other complaint was the jumping pillows. My son loved them and we were their daily - , they are meant to be inflated from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. We stayed two nights, and both mornings we had to call to get them inflated. The first morning was at ~9.30 a.m. and the second at 8:30 a.m. Not sure what's happening.

The only true positive was the buffet breakfast - the staff was polite and helpful and the food was quite nice.

Room was ok, but the bedroom was comprised of two single beds put together at different heights creating an uneven crack between the two beds, which made our sleep very uncomfortable.

Bath had gaps between the wall and the tub rim where silicone is missing.

We were celebrating our anniversary, and despite notifying of this to the hotel, no mention not even an acknowledgment was given..at least a handwritten note would’ve been appreciated.

Had parking issues as our designated parking was taken by someone else too.

I didn’t complain, as these are cultural and behavioural issues that I can’t fix, and didn’t want to ruin our stay as we’re celebrating our special occasion.

Looking back, this property is at a beautiful location, but let down by poor maintenance and management.

The resort was very good with the exception of a number of functions which they ran on Saturday night with loud music and rowdy party revellers as late as 2am. Suffice to say we had a lousy sleep in that Saturday night.
Would recommend you ask the reception in advance if they have any functions planned and find somewhere else to stay if you value your sleep! Otherwise the resort is very well laid out, a great restaurant and bar and the pool and spa were modern and clean

We stayed 3 nights in the three-bedroom apartment. There was another apartment above us, and we could hear every single step they took, especially at night when my 4-year-old and 7-year-old were trying to sleep. It was as if the people above us were purposely stomping around. I think the soundproofing between floors was poor. The apartment was very dated, and wear and tear were obvious. Aside from that, we had a lovely time, but for the price and quality, we would look elsewhere next time.

The two-bedroom apartment is in desperate need of an update. The carpets are very worn, roller blinds were so battered they should be thrown out and couches old, faded and worn. Woodwork in the apartment needs repair and painting. I booked one night for three adults. There was one tube each of shampoo and conditioner and an even smaller tube of body wash, no shower caps and only two face washers. I must say that the apartment was very clean though. The Silverwater advertises a 4-and-a-half-star resort, they charge for that, but the state of this apartment was far from that rating. Very disappointed, will not stay again and will definitely not recommend this place to anyone.

No respect for repeating customers. Always allots room at 3rd elevation. Have to carry heavy luggage up and down. No lifts available. Even though rooms are vacant they don’t entertain you/ they would tell they are fully booked. I don’t know if there are other dependant priorities. Need to go thrugh 2 doors which keeps closing with heavy spring structure. Carrying stuff inside is another headache. If you don’t have any luggage you can book this. Game room only has paid games. Rooms are good though. Check in after 10 is not available also swimming pool and gym area closes after 10. Would surely look for another option henceforth. Racv and park lane are good options.

The kitchen was clean but the living area of the property was run down. Carpet was well worn and stained, carpet needs to be replaced. Dining chairs marked There seemed to be minimal noise insulation beteen floors as we could hear all the footsteps in the unit above.
On the plus side, the ocean view from living area and balcony was beautiful. The resort facilities were in great condition and parking was easy access to the room.

A little disappointing for the price

For the price, I was a little disappointed. Our room wasn't serviced at all and you had to pay extra if you wanted it to be. For over $300 a night, I would expect at least the bins to be emptied and some fresh body wash. Breakfast was also not included and you had to book and pay the night before and say what time you were going to show up, which when you have a toddler is not always easy to predict. The room itself was pretty good and spacious. The doors to get in were a little awkward and heavy. Our door to the outside balcony was also hard to lock.
The location is pretty good with nice views from the restaurant. The facilities (pools, bouncy cushion and playground) are good. Happy hour, $5 wines were great.

Experienced food poisoning from the restaurant room service. Chicken wings even had cooked feathers on them. Tried calling the restaurant multiple times with no answer. Took the food back the next morning to be told they may not be able to provide a refund as it’s the next day. Explained the whole situation, the chef was very nice trying to rectify the situation however the restaurant supervisor wasn’t as nice. I was offered a Mina amount on a bar voucher instead of the refund. Can’t really use a bar voucher when nothing can be kept down. Ruined the whole weekend as it was spent being sick in the room. The main problem were the rooms. You have to get thru a door to enter your room and it has two entries so room 100 & 101. You can barely squeeze in thru the door to open the room door and the other room door is also inside this door. And all the banging of doors because there are two doors opening and closing every time you enter or leave. This morning we had a family do this for 1.5 hours. They were in and out with children and there were these two doors that kept banging. It’s not the building door it was like two room next to each other with its own door to get to the two Rooms. The shower was shocking too with the door not being great. Not worth the cost

Stayed in a 1 bedroom suite, very spacious, clean and comfortable, good quality towels and bedding. Large deck with table and chairs. View of the inlet. Kitchen was equipped fairly well (was missing pot holders and something to set hot pots on, no oil or spices). We didn't go to the restaurant or rec area so can't comment on that. Would stay here again.

Overall we had a very pleasant stay at Silverwater Resort. The apartment in which we stayed was well equipped and clean. I requested a ground floor and, at the last minute I also requested a walk in shower, and in both instances these were readily met. The playground and pools were perfect for the grandchildren.
