Upmarket hotel in a beautiful location.

Lovely hotel on the banks of the beautiful River Rhine. Set in the idyllic old town of Königswinter, the hotel had everything we wanted for a pleasant stay! The service was outstanding and the staff could not have been more helpful.

Found it difficult to find information about facilities etc during stay. No info in room and unable to find dinner menu on TV.
Thought dining room shut for lunch as entrance looked deserted as opposed to breakfast which ( we did not choose) was served by door. Reception staff helpful with car parking but failed at check out to give garage exit card so spent sometime trying to work out system before returning to reception to ask for help.

This is a lovely hotel in a really nice area. Right on the river Rhine. The pool is lovely. The room was a really good size for a family of 4. There was a small issue with our room initially but staff sorted it really quickly. We had dinner and ice cream just down the street...... spaghetti carbonara Ice cream is a must

Wunderbares Wochenende im Sommer

Das Maritim Hotel Königswinter ist ein super Hotel, in bester Lage. Fussläufig kann man direkt zum Rhein und in die Innenstadt von Königswinter gelangen. Die Drachenfelsbahn ist ebenfalls zu Fuss zu erreichen. Wir haben die Junior Suite gebucht. Sauber, viel Platz, gute Betten und mit Aussicht auf den Berg und auf den Rhein. Das Schwimmbad und die Sauna sind übersichtlich aber sehr sauber und schön. Wir planen im Herbst einen wiederholten Aufenthalt.

Hotel parking expensive, but it is clearly advertised on the hotel details so no complaints there. 24 hours front desk and accomodating room service. I would stay here again!

They gave me a free upgrade to a room with a view of the Rhine. The breakfast buffet was the best I've had at any European hotel. They had a designated machine only for hot chocolate, and the cocoa was so good I drank three cups. There was also a smoothie maker. Also, just a 10-minute walk to the Drachenfelsbahn.

Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen und schönen Aufenthalt, bei dem wir uns sehr über die Sauna gefreut haben.
Auch das Angebot an Tee, Wasser und Kaffee auf dem Zimmer hat uns sehr gefreut, aber leider waren das Kaffeepulver sowie der Zucker ein wenig verklebt. Das war aber nur eine Winzigkeit.

Overpriced, hot and loud, poor service.

The location of the area is wonderful, and the hotel itself is decent. The breakfast was delightful, and the facilities were generally good. However, we encountered an issue during our stay in late May—the temperature inside the room was insufficiently cool for comfortable sleep. Despite our attempts to use the AC, we were informed that it was not operational until later in the summer, which was different from our experience at other hotels on this trip where the AC was available without any problems.

To alleviate the situation, we had to resort to keeping the window fully open, but even then, the room remained uncomfortably warm, although slightly improved. Additionally, due to its proximity to the main street and the train station, the room was excessively noisy and bright. The train's constant activity throughout the night made it incredibly challenging to get a good night's sleep. We raised all these concerns with the reception, but unfortunately, they were unhelpful in addressing the issues. Furthermore, when we sought a refund, we were informed that it was not possible because we had booked through hotels.com.

Adding to our disappointment, this particular hotel was the most expensive one we stayed in during our trip, and the overall experience did not justify the high cost.

A beautiful and relaxed location

The hotel is nice even if the female receptionist gave the first impression of being a bit irritated when asking questions too fast. I was told waiting because I was an hour before time and no room ready. Five minutes later I approached the make receptionist who called the housekeeping and immediately got a room. The design of the windows is a total mistake. You have a wide horizontal bar in the lower half of the window, completely taking the Rhine River view whether sitting on the bed or the chairs in the room. You can only enjoy by sitting on the floor or standing up. These windows should all be changed in the future as the extra price for the view is high. Otherwise it’s a nice place and I’m actually arriving back for another stay while writing this review. The breakfast and the staff is wonderful and the Königswinter is very beautiful as is the whole surrounding area.

Rummen var fina och anläggningen bra. Servicen däremot var usel. Ingen information om spa avdelningen, inga handdukar i spa avdelningen. Vi fick ingen info vid incheckningen och receptionspersonalen inte tillmötesgående.
Nonchalant bemötande i restsurangen, vi fick vänta i över en timma på maten och ingen ursäkt. Även lm hotellanläggningen är fin så kommer vi inte tillbaka pga av service och bemötande.

Schönes Hotel mit toller Lage

Schönen Blick auf den Rhein ein kleiner Nachteil war die Straßenbahn Linie 66 direkt vor dem Fenster. Das war recht laut. Frühstück ließ keinen Wunsch offen und der Service war sehr nett. Handling der Fernbedienung von Fernseher etwas kompliziert. Der Pool ist ok. Leider wurde die Kaffeebar in der Lobby nach dem Wochenende abgebaut. Das war sehr schade. Schade auch, daß die Parkplätze an den Hotels immer recht teuer sind. Hier waren es 16,00 Euro die Nacht.

Check in and bar/restaurant staff were all a credit to the hotel.The room was excellent, but i reckon if you book with hotels.com or another similar site then you get a back room with a view of the street, rather than a front view of the Rhine.
Breakfast was an additional 38€ for the two of us. We had cappucino, fresh orange juice, croissant and jam for 12€ (total for the two of us) in a cafe round the corner. The evening buffet (26€ pp) in the hotel was really good value and a wide choice of quality food. The carafes of good local wine were equally good value (5.90€ for 0.25L) . We were able to reserve a table on the terrace overloooking the river. A lovely setting. Car parking is an additional 19€ per day/night.

Lovely views over the Rhine if you are able to get a room with a view. It is a 4* hotel. For both breakfast and dinner there is the option of a buffet with a huge selection of foods - recommended and good value.
Surprised I had to pay so much to park the car (19 Euro per day), I would expected it to be free for hotel guests - hint there is free parking 19:00-09:00 nearer the railway station (400m) and just 50c per hour during the day if needed,

Not worth the price

On arrival checkin process was disappointing. We were told directly that our room would not be ready until 3pm. We understood this to be the hotel policy but they could have made this point in a more polite manner. We paid extra for a room with a Rhine River view. Yes, the room faced the river but the window was relatively small. Half the area was actually a solid wall with a curtain draped across it. When you sat on the chair to enjoy the view it was obstructed by the window frame at eye level. The room was clean and well appointed but not worth the expense. Restaurant was well overpriced with breakfast being a ridiculous 29 euro per head. Overall, we were disppointed with the service as we never really felt welcomed and the property is simply not good value for money.

We booked this hotel because we had been there before and liked it. Our 5 day holiday there this year was exactly what we expected, hotel was great, they even turned on extremely good weather for us!
Hotel is on the Rhein promenade which provides miles and miles of excellent,flat and shaded walking, ideal for when it is hot as it was during our stay.

Check in was quick and easy. Or room was excellent, with a modern shower and plenty of space and storage for longer stays. The location is ideal for Rhine River walks and cruises. The pool was nice, but you had to pay extra to use the fitness room. Parking was good, for extra fee as well. The on-site restaurant was not vegan friendly, and there was no food waste recycling.

The hotel is very clean and modern as are the rooms. The reception desk staff is wonderful and all speak english. I suggest buying a good bit of bottled water to keep in your room. There are no vending machines and they drink mostly sparkling water overthere so buy water and snacks. Lovely hotel great views of the river.

Das Familienzimmer für 5 Personen war in Ordnung, aber auch sehr dunkel. Wir waren in der ersten Etage untergebracht. Leider war am ersten Abend unseres Aufenthalts eine Veranstaltung im Saal im EG, die Musik dröhnte laut in unser Zimmer, weswegen unsere beiden Kinder (3 und 7 Jahre) schlecht einschlafen konnten. Als wir uns gegen 23 Uhr bei der Rezeption erkundigt haben, wie lange die VA noch geht, wurde uns ein Zimmertausch in ein höheres Stockwerk angeboten. Leider kam das zu dieser Uhrzeit mit den Kids für uns nicht in Frage.

Auch der Fitnessraum stand auf Grund von Sanierungsarbeiten nicht zur Verfügung. Dies wurde im Vorfeld leider nicht kommuniziert und war unsererseits ein Hauptgrund für die Buchung dieses Hotels.

Positiv ist die gute Auswahl an Speisen zum Frühstück zu erwähnen.

Wir hatten einen rundum hervorragenden Aufenthalt im Maritim Hotel Königswinter. Besonders positiv hervorzuheben ist das durchweg freundliche und zuvorkommende Personal.

Unsere Junior Suite mit Flussblick war großzügig geschnitten, sehr sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Ein echtes Highlight war der fantastische Blick auf den Rhein. Auch die gefüllte Minibar, die ohne Aufpreis genutzt werden konnte, hat uns positiv überrascht. Die Parkmöglichkeit war ebenfalls kostenlos bzw. im Zimmerpreis inbegriffen.

Der Wellnessbereich hat uns sehr überzeugt: Das Schwimmbad ist schön gestaltet, sauber und im Zimmerpreis inkludiert. Besonders angenehm fanden wir die extra bereitgestellten Handtücher für den Poolbereich. Bademäntel und Badeschuhe standen ebenfalls zur Verfügung.

Insgesamt handelt es sich um ein sehr gepflegtes, gut geführtes Haus mit einem sehr guten Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Man fühlt sich sofort wohl und kann hier problemlos auch mehrere Tage verbringen. Wir waren rundum zufrieden und würden jederzeit wiederkommen

An einem Tag wurden direkt neben unserem Hotelzimmer umfangreiche, handwerkliche Arbeiten durchgeführt. Es ist klar, dass diese irgendwann sein müssen, aber dann hätte man nicht das Zimmer daneben vermieten müssen. so etwas kann man planen. Erst auf meine Beschwerde hin bot man uns einen Zimmerwechsel an, was man proaktiv bereits vorher hätte machen können. Daher nur drei Sterne. Ansonsten ist das Personal sehr freundlich und professionell und das Hotel sehr komfortabel.

Es gibt Zimmerservice!

Direkt vor dem Hotel ist die Rheinfähre. Man kann beim Frühstück gucken wann die nächste kommt und ist dann auch sofort da.

Dieses Hotel ist einfach einzigartig gut gelegen, direkt am Rhein auf der einen Seite und auf der anderen Seite erreicht man fußläufig die Berge des Siebengebirges, insbesondere den \"Drachenfels\" bzw. die Drachenfelsbahn. Der Empfang war ausnehmend freundlich und zuvorkommend, ich wurde sogar gefragt, ob ich lieber ein Zimmer mit Badewanne oder eines mit Dusche hätte - das ist mir in Hotels seit Jahren nicht mehr passiert. Die Räumlichkeiten sind zweckmäßig, sauber und in gutem Zustand - vielleicht ein wenig altmodisch aber das gehört wohl zum Charme des Hotels. Das Restaurant (Abendessen) könnte ein bißchen mehr Einfallsreichtum bei der Speisekarte gebrauchen aber auch hier sind die Räumlichkeiten (mit Blick auf den Rhein) wunderbar. Beim Auschecken habe ich wohl einen etwas gestressten Mitarbeiter erwischt, auf jeden Fall nicht sehr freundlich - ein radikaler Gegensatz zum Empfang.
