Unfortunately, the hotel is under construction and wasn’t aware of it until we arrived to check in.
Even though the staff was excellent, just wasn’t able to use much of anything.
It’s a good thing the property is getting renovated, the lobby is in bad shape and all the furniture was clearly worn out.

The heat in room 114 sounded like it was going to blow up. Each time it went off it sounded like someone was throwing rocks at the window which happened every 15mins for the entire night. Also requested additional towels and was told that housekeeping was off for the night and that none would be available until after 12pm on the day of checkout.

Wonderful staff, but a smelly building and room in an industrial park. They were mid-remodel, so this likely played a factor, but the lobby/cafe were very unwelcoming with dirty carpets, broken booths with torn coverings, and a musky smell. Halls were the same with poor lighting and dirty carpets. The room was *empty.* No chair or seating, no tables, just a bed, a small rolling dresser, and a desk. Only 1 floor lamp and two wall lamps resulting in poor lighting and a cave-like feel. The TV was very nice - at least a 60\" 4k, much better than most hotels in the price range. Hopefully after the remodel their rooms will be fully furnished and the smell will be resolved.

Hotel was under some kind of construction. My door wouldn’t shut or open without effort. No furniture in the room just 2 standard metal chairs with cushion and 1 desk chair with wheels. Upon check in we found the TV had problems. The next morning I asked them to check it. No one checked. The TV was not usable for the 3 nights I was there.
Next they told me at check in that the hotel only cleaned the rooms every other day. At the start of the 3rd day I asked the front desk to be sure my rooms was cleaned and we had fresh towels. Upon arriving back in the room for the 3rd night stay the room was not clean and no new towels. I went to the front desk and ask for the room to be cleaned. They said no one was there to clean the room. I asked for towels and all they had was one bath towel that smelled bad. Terrible hotel and terrible service!!

We visted the bar lounge to watch the tigers game. Literally no options at bar. No mixer options. Not even 7up or any variety of it. Asked for simple shot chilled. Same cup used to serve to different requests making the drink Terrible. Asked to just pay bill because of miss made drinks and told no need, just leave. If u advise a bar restaurant then have a bar restaurant! It was the reason we selected this location. I did not even mind the remodel which was in progress but dang. Have something on hand

This property was under renovation and had one poorly working elevator. The room was beyond basic, the door was stuck, the elevator would slip when it arrived to the floor, the sliding doors on the balconies didn't have screens on them and were leaning up against the building. There were large shipping containers in the rear of the building looking very suspicious. Considering this was a Courtyard by Marriott, I expected a different level of cleanliness and comfort. I personally would never stay in this hotel ever again and I think it should be removed from booking sites at least until the renovations are complete and then reassessed. If you need photos, please reach out and I will share. The renovations are being poorly executed also.

The hotel was under construction and I didn’t know until I saw in the halls on my way to the room. The bistro served me avocado toast dunked in oil and microwaved hard-boiled eggs—I would not recommend the meal. I was the only one in line and there was only one worker, but I still had a long wait. Don’t go there if you’re in a rush but I’m sure they have some other better food options. The room had a weird smell but it was clean and quiet.

Hotel a little shabby. Cleaning didn’t get around to my room my whole (4-day) stay, though they were supposed to clean every 3 days. “Bartender” appeared to be maintenance staff who made a martini with vodka and club soda. Undrinkable. He’d never heard of Vermouth.

The rooms were nice and beds were comfortable, but I don't think I will stay there again. The elevator to get to the rooms is SO FAR AWAY from the front desk. The lady at the cafe in the morning is unfriendly and I stood at the front desk this morning for 10 minutes waiting for someone to check me out and take my payment for two sodas. NO ONE WAS AROUND! The front desk was completely empty with no staff in sight. Also, the light in the elevator went out so you rode up in complete darkness. I don't know how many hours it was out but it was definitely TOO long. Maybe once their construction is done, they can improve on their service. But right now, I won't be back.

Had to change rooms 4 times as room they provided was filthy and had mold smell as building was under construction. The front desk clerk indicated because booked through 3rd party could change to one of the newer renovated rooms. I took pictures of the filthy rooms and had to do this 4 times before she finally changed room to one of the newer rooms. It was clean and new furniture, but still not worth the hassle especially after one travels a great distance and wants to relax in comfort. It shouldn’t matter who you booked through as the room was paid for and a customer should not be subjected to subpar conditions.

Everything was great the only thing I didn’t care for is that the TV was not facing the bed. It was on the wall adjacent to the long side of the bed and if you’re like me who likes to fall asleep watching your favorite shows this may bother you a bit, but other than that, I would say it was an excellent stay. Great location as well. You’re only about 15 to 20 minutes from downtown Detroit and everywhere else really.

Absolutely awful stay.
* Sink was clogged (slow drain).
* Found dirty towels on balcony upon arrival.
* Room was not refreshed and used towels were not replaced.
* Pillows had an oder.

It was okay. The room and the property hae seen better days-everything was tired. However, renovation was taking place so, it will improve. The second floor room balcony was nice, overlooking a garden. The breakfast was not a hot breakfast-just cereal. The coffee made up for it-hot and strong.

Well I do understand that you were under construction. However, everything was fine. I would stay again. I cant wait to see the updates. Even without the updates things were nice. My bathroom door locked from the inside. I don't know how, but they receptionist was very nice about getting us to another. I would like to see a better breakfast presentation. Their were flies hovering around the food. Perhaps this will come with the new construction.

BEWARE! Dirty and moldy!

The room was TERRIBLE. Black mold all over the bathroom (see photographs), and when we asked for a room change, we were offered a room next door to renovations going on. We moved out. The charges for the entire stay (Friday to Monday) are still on my credit card, and I hope we don't have a problem being refunded.

Unfortunately the property was under major renovation. We were in a room next to heavy construction, including instruction equipment and supplies. Place was pretty gross. Their continental breakfast was some like cereal boxes and muffins. And our whole room smelled like burnt weed. Staff was kind and accommodating but still pretty less than ideal experience

Great stay.. Wish I was staying more than one night. My favorite part was the shower, lol, they might have a higher water bill this month. Only thing that was odd was the small pillows, they were like little throw pillows. Room was very clean, atmosphere very relaxing and welcoming. Excellent customer service. In the room, there was a gray couch. It looked like it was ejaculation stains on it and the couch was dirty. So disgusting! The screen was broken off of the sliding door in the room. I checked for bedbugs. I didn’t find any, but I found a dead bedbug and a dead spider on the mattress.

Everything was Great except…Expedia…they overcharged me and I will never book through Expedia…again. I heard horror stories from others how they too were overcharged. I paid $1295 for a $350 plane ticket and hotel $620 that cost $155 a night which total $$970… if l had booked my plane ticket would cost me $350 the hotel $620 and rental car 305 totaling $1305. I paid $ $1295 and this was Without a rental car Expedia charged me $1295 for a flight ticket and a hotel. Expedia will never get business again from me..I tried to work this out explaining I needed a rental they couldn’t fix this simple problem. So I ended up spending out of pocket $305 for a rental. There no need to reply Expedia had there chance to fix this issue but didn’t. No more Expedia! Third parties are only after your money with out giving good service.

Hotel was under construction during my family and I stay. The room we were in had hair all over the bathroom floor and in the shower. The sink was leaking water and the sink kept filling up and not draining.didn’t find out until we walked around in our socks. By the beds has debris (candy wrappers, dirt, and small pebbles on the carpet). Need a serious vacuum. Called down to desk and they moved us out to another room this time on the 2nd floor. This room was a bit better. But just going though the 1st room craziness was enough for us to not stay at this location again. Otherwise had a good visit.

I think is ludacris that hotel charges so much per night when it’s undergoing renovations. I stayed in two different rooms 283 and 286 which both had issues with the tub stopping up, the water smelled like sewage water and the toilet didn’t flush properly. I think the should close the hotel down until it’s completely or they need to charge less per night.

Construction near pool, smells terrible and is overall not up to par for business. Customer service was unexpectedly not great being that there was no manager to help assist & supervisor out on medical. On top of the younger hotel representative stating we should have read the reviews before booking. Of course the reviews had bed bug infestation. We Did Not Stay! My family booked 3 rooms, 1 we received a refund since it was booked directly with Marriott and not through a third party. The other 2 booked with Expedia how ever was not refunded.
