The entrance was clean and decent but the room was the worst room I have ever been in. The bathroom was dirty with the bathtub having hair that looked like a sponge in it. The sink had a slime looking substance coming out of the drain. The AC unit did not function. There were blood smears on the wall, like bugs were killed and smeared. The smell throughout the room including the bed and covers are undescribable. No, mini fridge available. I was in room 243, I asked for I refund and the said they could not, it's against hotel policy. We ended up leaving anyways.

The staff was generally very helpful and nice. The main factor that prompted us to leave early was the strong tobacco and marijuana smoke in the hotel. It was obvious there was active smoking inside. I even saw someone vaping in the elevator. Our room's air wasn't as bad after I opened the window, but the smell on the bed sheets, coverings, and pillows was still quite noticeable.

Worst place I almost stayed at! I went in stayed for like 40 min and had to check right out..got locked inside the bathroom because they didnt have a handle on the door on the inside. Water wouldn't get warm despite running it for 20 min, black mold on some walls and hair in the tub and on the floor. Place was gross..stains everywhere on walls, blanket, bed, towels, everywhere. Heard a rat in the drop ceiling in the hall! Couch was caved in. Had some flys in there! Dont know how thats even possible with it being winter 😳. Asked for a different room only to be told all the rooms are like that. Dont say you wasn't warned!

In a pinch there handy however for a ling term stay at 375 a week accordingly to there sign with all the security risks that number seems expensive

Absolutely the worse hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I’ve traveled all over the country, and throughout Michigan with my travel buddy daughter. She requested to stay in Ferndale. This feels more like Detroit as Detroit is right across the street.
The pictures do not look like this run down establishment. There is no carpet in the hallway. Only old floor missing tiles. There is one tiny microwave to service the entire building. The place smells because of this microwave like some animal died. My daughter pinched her nose every time walking through the hotel.There is trash wrappers scattered about in the hallways, elevator and stairwell. There are children running through hallways. The hallways reek of smoke. Another reason why my daughter pinched her nose. My daughter pointed out a cigarette butt on the floor of our room. I will say the room was clean the bedding and towels. Which is the only reason I stayed. Never again. Do not stay at this disgusting place.
On top of all that the staff behind the desk are very rude and treat you like someone who would stay in a trash hotel. Not respectful at all. My daughter called this place straight dog water action. Never ever again. Negative stars.

I had a terrible experience at this hotel. I ended up changing rooms four times.
• The first room had a cockroach.
• The second room had barely any water.
• The third room smelled strongly of cigarettes.
When I asked for a refund so I could leave, they refused due to their “policy” and kept trying to move me to another room instead of giving me the refund.

I even told the receptionist, “It looks like we’re going to spend the whole day trying to find a room for me since you won’t give me a refund.”

On top of all this, the internet was terrible. It kept saying I was connected to the Wi-Fi, but there was no actual internet the entire time.

Eventually, they gave me a room on the fourth floor that was just acceptable, but the whole process was extremely frustrating and unprofessional.

I would never stay at this hotel again unless you’re absolutely desperate. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had.

The staff at the front desk was inconsiderate. There was an option of paying a $25 dollar convenience fee or a $100 refundable deposit that I had no idea of, and would not have booked there. I opted to pay the refundable $100 because there was nothing convenient about the establishment. There was one microwave in the lobby for the entire hotel, no mini-fridge in the hotel room. It seems that the hotel is being used as low-cost housing for longer staying patrons (which is an unfortunate circumstance that is not the hotels fault), but I was being treated as a "problem" even though I was just passing through for a couple days while I waited to fly out (Checked in on a Friday, flew out on Monday), and despite paying fees, they would not even extend the courtesy of a late check out, which would have been helpful considering my flight is at 5pm and check-out is at 11am. Even an extra hour at an airport would have been nice. The state police showed up twice for disturbances, and the entire hotel reeked of marijuana despite multiple no-smoking signs (clearly no enforcement of the policy). I didn't expect much, this was a very last minute booking in a not great area, and in stead of being treated as a guest, I was treated as a problem. The room had a couch that was broken, there was one towel one wash cloth and they would not give me more. 10/10 will not ever use this establishment again, and I'd recommend taking it off your website, but that's your call.

I do not recommend booking here. I woke up with bedbug bites. And actually seen the bug crawling. I have videos and pictures. Additionally, I had to change my room three times and still ended up in a room like this. The bathroom was dirty. The toilet seat was broken. The bed sheets were tattered. The walls were damaged. It was not a good experience at all and I will be contacting corporate for a refund.

I was taken to three separate rooms and something was wrong with every one. The “best” room had dirty towels and pubic hair on the toilet seat, no fridge and I was only allowed two towels even though they were dirty. The lamp was out and the remote didn’t work.

When room was booked it showed we'd have a refrigerator and microwave. We had neither. Luckily I had brought my 12 volt fridge and was able to plug it in to keep our food we brought with us cold.
The lobby was very dark. What should have been a nice welcoming area with granite floors was dreary and floors were dirty.
Very unsociable desk clerk.
Elevator floor was buckled and the floor number display was partial out of its holder.
Our door, though locked, would not deadbolt. When evening desk clerk was informed of this he asked if we could rectify it in the morning (we were tired after 12+ hours in the road). It was never rectified as we were out for the day by 6 am.
Bathroom, though clean, was a disaster. Paint in the tub cracked and dingy. No holder for the toilet paper. Towels etc were gray and frayed and were better suited for rags than use. They were not absorbent at all - body still wet after shower. And only 2 SMALL bath towels and wash clothes and 1 hand towel for a room with 2 adult women. Old cigarette burn marks all over the sink.
When I asked a housekeeper in the morning if there was an ice machine, he answered no in a very rude way. Overall bad attitude!

The condition of the place was not great. Floors unsticking to the ground. The elevator worked twice. Had to use the stairs to go down. In the stairwell, a stain in the corner that looked like blood. When going back up the stairs, could not enter the stairwell. No doorknob. So had to walk all the way back towards the desk to find another stairwell. Opened the door and was slammed in the face with the odor of feces. It was strong.

If you REALLY need a hotel it works; but DONT.

The overall cleanliness of this hotel left a lot to be desired. There are no smoking signs printed out everywhere but you can smell both cigarette and pot lingering in the air. There are also signs saying no hoods up allowed in the lobby and that the doors will close at a certain time. You got catcalled whether you were entering or exiting the hotel. Checking in I was told I could either have a twin or a queen size bed, even though I booked a King size bed, and only got the King size bed once I showed the reservation confirmation email. The hallways have patchwork flooring where they’ve repaired water damage and hollow flooring. The room had water damage to the ceiling above the shower as well as trim missing from the walls. I only took ONE photo of this hotel and it was the outside of the lobby when we decided to check out early and leave because I would have rather driven back the three hours home to sleep in my own bed.

When I got to the property there were men and women hanging around the property. There was a man aggressively pulling on a woman. I checked in and the room was dirty. I seen roaches. The bed sheets were dirty.

The bed was very comfortable. The place was quiet at night. I did sleep well.
The place was not clean. There was a hand print of something on the door. There was no working lamps- all the bulbs were burned out, i had to go down to lobby to get one. The cover on the bathroom vent was hanging by 1 screw. There were not even cups in the room.
There were so many small- easy to fix items that needed to be done. Completely run down.

Do not under any circumstances, book a room here. I was in the room five minutes and left. They were bugs, and it was filthy. A man in the lobby at midnight when I was checking in, was bumming a cigarette from me. Another man was drinking a beer and walking around at midnight in the lobby like he was at home. Because it was nonrefundable I lost $152. Any good reviews are fake. It’s filthy. It looks like a place where people go for the weekend party. Again do not under any circumstances book a room at this hotel unless the above sounds good to you.

Me and my son were going to stay in addition, on night. As we did extend, our stay passed the initial schedule. However, they told me that as long as we cleared out of the room with our belongings and gave them time to clean it that they would give us our room back upon our return. And when we returned, they did not allow me to have the room they up the price. And they cost me and my son to sleep in the parking lot in the car. Because by that time we had nowhere else to go.

Honestly. I was a little scared at first, but i also dont judge people based off of looks. Yeah it was a lil run down and yes it was a lil scetchy, BUT we stayed. The entrance and check in was fine. The front desk person was informative and easy to work with. The problems were once I got to my room. There was no trash cans in the room. The toilet paper was sitting on the sink. The holder was missing the rod. The shower curtain rod was not flexed outwardly. Instead if was bowing downward. The tub looked gross. I pulled the sheets back on the beds and found random small pieces of stuff. The TV remote was missing the back to hold in the batteries. Plus all I could hear was kids yelling and playing in the hall. The people next to me had children and they were moking the whining child very loudly. I thought I would go downstairs and take the stairs not elevator. When I pushed on the breaker bar door handle my finger came in contact with some sort of black caulk. I went back to my room and cleaned my hand off of caulk. Grabbed my bags took elevator downstairs and checked out. I told the front desk that the room had no trash cans and it was loud with children next door. I did not feel I was going to be able to have a relaxing stay or feel clean in this place. They charged $100 fee when I checked in for any incidentals. I did receive that back on Monday morning.

Our room did not have a small refrigerator or a microwave that caused us to spend more money on food, and walk to the lobby to use their microwave to heat things up. Some days front desk were helpful and some days they were rude.

But long story short....Dirty rooms, No hot water, No microwave, Phone or alarm clock. Interior is an eyesore and unsafe. Elevators don't work. 2 hours and the fire department later of being stuck in one we found that out. This place is a waste of time and money. If I could give it a lower rating, I would. This place should be condemned and shut down.
