This is a great hotel, and the perfect jumping off point for people using the Eurotunnel. Lovely clean room, breakfast caters for all sorts and starts really early. Can eat evening meal in the restaurant too, but we didn't this time. Staff are friendly and polite. Will earmark this one for next year!

Night in Calais

I stayed for one night before travelling to England. The hotel is close to the Eurotunnel and a 15 minute walk to the promenade /town centre. It’s quiet and has free parking.

Very old and dated rooms and facilities. Faulty towers comes to mind. It was very overpriced and you dont get a lot for what you pay. Sockets hanging off the walls. Poor shower room and wouldnt waste your money on the breakfast. Very limited options and no hot food available for breakfast.

The lights didn't work throughout our stay. But we also didn't give the property a chance to fix this as it went arrived after 9pm and left by around 9am so we slept and therefore it didn't impact us to greatly.

I stayed at this property overnight and whole corridor was stinking , room was dirty and no soap in the washroom.
We also found spider web all over the place that was pathetic.
There were old biscuit wrapper and empty tea bags on the table near our bed.

Very compact room, bathroom is okay if you’re only small build 1.5 x 1.5 mtrs, shower area was more like a baby’s bath and thick mold growth up the sides of the wall.
Staff pleasant and helpful.
If the rooms were of the same quality as the bar/ restaurant areas then this would be a great hotel.
Don’t think we would stay here again.

France closes on Sunday and I booked this due to the bar/restaurant. Had they told me BEFORE i had paid, I would have gone elsewhere. Really annoying.

Living on past glories!!

Far too expensive for the quality of the hotel. We have visited the cottage many times. It has never to our reckoning had even a new coat of paint. Carpets are bleach stained, and bathrooms are old and look unhygienic.

Have stayed at this hotel many times mainly due to its very convenient location and the friendliness of the staff. The bedrooms are basic but comfortable and there is a good restaurant on site. The only downside is that the tv is a bit basic even though there are a couple of English channels.

The breakfast is good and price is comparable with other hotels. Family room option was two rooms (double & twin) with an interconnecting door which worked well for us. The properties direction on google maps took me to a totally different location! After a taxi driver led me to right address we found it.
Small but well run basic accommodation. Standard hot drinks tray and bathroom towels.
Staff let us order a light meal and take it to our room, and also provided a bottle opener!
