Upon arrival I was told that my room had been changed, which surprised me but as I first time resort goer I didn’t think much of it. I was pleasantly surprised by the literal 2-bedroom villa they gave me, beautiful all around.

The food was 10/10 and the staff were all super friendly and helpful. Watching the sunset at the beach was quite the experience, I was however a bit disappointed by the smells but I understand they had just dealt with sargassum.

For this to be my first time at a resort I would absolutely go back.

Absolutely beautiful, resort was great. Food isn't like other all inclusive but was still good. I am not into food so didnt bother me. I was able to always find something I could eat. Resort and grounds could not be better!! I personally wouldn't do all inclusive as there were so many restaurants within walking distance on the beach.

We had horrible weather so we spent a lot of time trapped in the resort itself. Without the opportunity to dive or snorkel, there wasn’t much to do. However, the staff was real friendly and they hustled to help when we had a couple breaks in the weather to help us enjoy the beach. The food was okay but we went there for the experience and not the food. The experience was worth it. There were quite a few guests who stayed for 3 months which told us that the place is worth the commitment. The room was spotless and we were happy with the daily housekeeping.

Our room was outdated and not cleaned properly prior to arrival. Coffee stains on bathroom sink. Ketchup on trash can. Our roof leaked onto the bedroom side table where my husband has his electronics. The room showed a lot of wear. The staff was not attentive to our sick friend who needed assistance after hours.

Appreciated that transfer to property was included, as well as food. Staff was nice, and the dive a snorkel staff were especially friendly. Liquor is bottom shelf so can give you a headache quickly, and the room was a bit rundown but comfortable bed and good price overall.

Great resort. Have been to Mexico 25+ times, so lots of all inclusive experience. Food was great! Buffet was smaller than Mexico resorts, but fresh and good. Al a cartes were hit and miss, but fun.

Booze much better than our last few trips to Mexico. Lots of choices. Does not seem to be watered down. Hotel does need to do better stocking sparkling wine. Ran out often.

We were in smallest rooms and they were good. Beach was good. Our only problem: so. Much. Rain. But can’t blame that on the hotel!

We will be back…during dry season.

The resort is small and very clean. They said it was busy but it was not crowded, no issues with dinner reservations or spa bookings. No problem getting beach loungers, umbrellas or pool chairs or cabanas. The staff was kind and some spoke english. The room was comfortable and the air conditioner worked well. The bed was comfortable. Our biggest issue was with food. There is one buffet, with short hours. There are two restaurants to make reservations. Neither was stellar and the food was hit or miss as to whether it came out hot, warm or cold. The menus are fairly similar, with mostly the same offerings. The desserts were horrible. The snacks available during the day consisted of popcorn, chili beans, really bad pizza, fishsticks, dry beef empanadas and chicken tacos which were like taquitos. We stayed pretty hungry and there is one expensive grocery store, at the end of the beach. I can't speak for the diving. They only had one guy at the beach and this is their high season. We never saw kayaks available. The vendors were present but not annyoying. The beach is gorgeous but the dive boats are parked out front, at all times. I never saw one go out, but they must have. I chose this resort for the good food reviews, but i did not find them to be adequate. If you can survive on cerviche, though, you might be ok. Check in and check out were excellent, as was the shuttle to and from the airport.

Drinks, very good! We ate 3 dinners out as well as a few breakfasts.
Crappy cheesecloth thin towels in rooms & for the beach you’re in competition with cruise ship day trippers - good luck. Beach was very narrow & you're constantly bothered by folks selling things. Unfortunately it rained quite a bit when we stayed & if you were not already in your room you got soaked trying to get there. Can’t control Mother Nature but geeezzz NYE celebration made it impossible to get back to our room without going off property & mukking thru while getting soaked
Saw insects coming in below our door, saw rats @ night, and there were bats nesting on the 2nd fl
rafters. Not the kind of wildlife I wanted to see!
I will be contacting property and/or Expedia for some sort of compensation.

Entertainment was poor all 3 nights and four days. Food at main restaurant was great, but came out very slowly. No amenities, music was slow and Low. It was clean and the beach was great. The massages beyond the grounds were cheap. You can negotiate. The ocean was fun. They cooked up a fish I caught. That was nice. The rooms were clean.

This was my first experience in Roatan and I’m afraid it has spoiled me! The property is well maintained and beautiful. There are several resorts, one after another, and this one is just as pretty as some of the more expensive ones on the end of the island.

Also, **You must have cash on hand for tipping just about everyone**
I did not know this and it became a problem when I ran out of cash on day 2…

Anyway, the buffet options are wonderful. There is a theme for dinner each night so it’s not the same foods over and over. Not having to worry about my meals was a huge relief. Apparently the buffet is $30 if purchased separately per meal.

The rooms were cleaned daily. The resort website recommended tipping the cleaning staff $3-4 daily, but I only stumbled upon that by accident. Plan accordingly.

The beach area is beautiful and well set up. You will be able to exchange your towel daily and have an umbrella set up for you, but you should tip this gentleman as well since he maintains his area. I think there are 2 of them that split this duty. Mayan has a lot of beach space in front of it, unlike Infinity and Kimpton and a few others in that direction which are basically falling into the ocean—meaning the tide comes right up to the resort, so there isn’t a lot of space for chairs AND people traffic.

Staff is really nice and very attentive. I felt safe. There are shops within walking distance. You can snorkel on the reef just by walking down the beach a ways. Top notch!

The location of Mayan Princess is on the best part of West Bay Beach. The beach was amazing, saw lots of starfish right from the beach. Snorkeling off the beach was great. The resort itself was very nice but the rooms need updating. Buffet food was decent. The staff was all very friendly and helpful if you needed anything. Would definitely go back to Mayan Princess.

Very nice stay. The staff was excellent and very friendly. Helped out a lot when I had questions. The quality of the food and drinks were great. The resort has a nice set up with the free airport shuttles. The resort had nice pools and is located directly on the beach. The diving was incredible and it was nice to walk right out of the hotel room and just a short walk to boat which took me to scuba dive sites. Enjoyed my stay and would stay again.

The room was amazing and the staff was spectacular. Our water heater went out on the last day. The staff came, discovered the problem and replaced the water heater all within an hour. When we finished our 10 gallon jug of water they replaced it immediately. Drinks were perfect and they remembered our preferences at every bar. It could not have been better! See you next year!!

Our flights was cancelled and we attempted to contract the property which was a nightmare. Wrong email and phone number were listed through Expedia as well as on their website. I finally called Expedia and was provided a way to message the property…No response. I called Expedia again and was given a different email and they responded two days later at which time we had to book another trip together. The hotel refused to accept any type of responsibility for having updated contact info or for their late response. NO REFUND WHATSOEVER. I am working to dispute this through my credit card company but I will never book this hotel line again. Lousy customer service.

One downside, the Expedia advertisement of all-inclusive at the Mayan Princess resort was not accurate. All inclusive should be all-inclusive like any other resort offering all-inclusive. We arrived at the resort under the all-inclusive assumption, and were informed that we had a breakfast only package. The added top up for lunches, dinners and beverages for two was close to $1000 US extra, not a welcome surprise. For the future, Expedia’s advertisement for the Mayan Princess in Roatan needs to inform customers more explicitly that all-inclusive has different cost tiers, so they are aware up front of what they are paying for and not be surprised getting the sun vacation off to an unpleasant start.

Clean rooms and immaculate landscaping around the entire resort. The beach was beautiful less than 100 yards from our resort. We went the all inclusive route and were not disappointed. There was not much variety in breakfast the week we were there but do yourself a favor and make a resorvation and the Beach Club restaurant. It will not dissappoint.
Also being just feet away from the bar with all the free drinks you want make laying on the beach even better. Overall a great place to stay

The resort is stunning! Although certain areas were closed for repairs, that did not detract from the overall experience or the beauty, cleanliness, and the wonderful staff. I was there to celebrate my birthday, and one particular staff member, Stefeny Pinnace went above and beyond to make it memorable. Stefeny coordinated with the Housekeeping manager to have balloons, confetti and a towel animal set up in my room. They also had a cake with strawberries on a tray delivered to my room. Stefeny also made reservations for me at San Simon restaurant. From the day I checked in, Stefeny made me feel like I was more than just a guest. You entire staff, from housekeeping to the waiters, bartenders, grounds people were some of the sweetest, polite, professional, most amazing group of employess. I forgot the name of the young man that helped me with my bags the day I checked in, I would also like to recognize him. Let him know I apologize for not recalling his name, I looked for him while I was there to give him a token of appreciation but did not see him. Please relay a heartfelt thank you to your entire staff for making my birthday not only amazing but memorable. I will definitely be back not only to Roatan but to Mayan Pricess Resort specifically. Thank you again

This was my second time staying here, the first time was absolutely great. My room was very nice, staff were good, hardly any issues. This time was pretty much garbage! When I arrived the front staff lady with orange hair had a nasty attitude I guess because her shift was about to end which isn’t my problem at all, after that the room that was given was horrific. Some stuff worked in the room some didn’t. Maid service sucked they don’t clean properly… only remaking the bed and changing out towels, I was not provided with any wash clothes…luckily I always bring some. I was given one jug of water with two dirty used glasses in the mini fridge. I will definitely stay elsewhere when returning back because this was by far the worst experience dealing with a hotel in Roatán.

I didn’t have the greatest experience. I didn’t have WiFi in the room. The food was not that great and the service was horrible. I paid for premium all inclusive but it didn’t include all the beers. And they couldn’t tell me why. Every time I went to the front desk they didn’t know anything. There were construction infront of my room and they didn’t acknowledge that we were there. Pool was closed because of the construction and they didn’t make any effort to help us change rooms. We lost a night because of the airline connection issues and no one care about it. Very disappointed on expidia and the hostel it self.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The resort was a short walk to amazing snorkeling off the beach as well as the West Bay Dive Shop which is where we did our scuba dives.

Pick up transport was definitely a great way to start our vacation! Very friendly and cheerful individuals! When we got to our “small” room we were surprised it was at the “Sirenas” area which seemed it was limiting with staff break room because of the conversations we could hear from inside the room, also the exposure to bats at night it was something to consider. Our room lacked of toiletries and the fridge had noticeable yellow stains in contact with our water glasses. We reached to front desk and we received a gallon of body wash but no manager or follow up in any improvement for this. Infrastructure is beautiful but a bit of ambiance like music wouldn’t hurt, specially by the pool area.

Everything is amazing. The location and hotel is beautiful. The staff is incredibly friendly. Special mentions to Mario, he will help you with everything around the hotel! Resolves anything immediately and the most friendly person. All the kitchen staff and people in the dining room! All of them! Chef is great and a lot of food options. From the bar: William! What a great guy always with a smile. Jose Luis, Roger, Damara, such friendly and nice people!!! Carlos and Wilmer who help you with the chairs and umbrellas thanks!! Also Carlos internal security, also defends marine life and makes sure all tourists respect the sea and its animals, what a blessing for this hotel to have him.
Front desk is the only place where you are not greeted or treated very kindly, most of these girls have attitude. I had a question and went to front desk and instead of resolving the issue, they were giving me more issues and were really rude, I had to stop them immediately I guess they forget that they are not doing you a favor, you pay to be there! The only 2 people in front desk who are nice are Stefany and victor. Other than that, I stay in this place 3-4 times a year but next time will think about because of the issues with the people in front desk

We didnt have anything that wasn’t cooked to perfection! We stayed for 7 days and would definitely return! Everything was very clean and well kept! The pool by our room was being repaired, and that was disappointing, but it was nearly finished when we left. We still had the beautiful beach and the pool was always perfect. Bonus..Demera? The barista; had our coffee done to perfection by the time she spotted us and we walked up, she always remembered what we liked. Even the security guard Mark and Greg were always so courteous and we felt completely safe at all times.

Everything in the hotel is great except for Brittny or brinny don’t know her name well. She makes the hotel experience terrible. She is not even nice or friendly.
Other than that, amazing stay. But I would doubt staying again if I have to be greeted by her in front desk .

Very welcoming staff, when I first arrived there, the front desk staff Stephanie and Shemar helped is quickly check in and walked us to our room and showed us all the ameneties.
Bar staff William, Stephanie and Elizabeth ALWAYS greeted us with a smile. The drinks were always delicious. Would have loved if there were more fruit options at the buffets throughout the day. Houskeepimg always did a great job. Beach was cleam and beautiful. The staff will be the reason why I come back. Thank you for welcoming us.
