The room itself was very nice, and the host was friendly and helpful. When we first arrived, it felt as though the property was closed, which was a little strange. Unfortunately, there was no hot water both in the evening and the following morning, which we reported to the host on departure. Had we been staying longer, I’m confident the host would have tried to resolve this.

The bed was uncomfortable and the mattress would benefit from an upgrade or the addition of a topper. Overall, the stay was acceptable, but we wouldn’t choose to book again.

Getting the basics of service wrong

Getting the basics wrong would describe this place.

Book in slow, booked taxi difficult and twice the normal price (price not the fault of the hotel).

Language barrier with the bar waitress due to non English dialect led to misunderstanding.

No room service.

Room curtains didn’t fit the aperture so no darkness added to the bright green light from the emergency light which lit up the room.

Streaming television which constantly dropped out.

Fridge not turned on before I arrived so was warm.

Only one towel in the room.

Didn’t know how to get in after hours so was in limbo for twenty minutes before I found a random door unlocked.

Finally an English breakfast as far as I’m concerned has fried eggs NOT scrambled. Also no choice, just given what a got.

Lovely room and amazing shower.
A few things that would improve overall visit- the green emergency light above the bedroom door casts light into the room all night and really impacts sleep for people who need a dark room? It was rather like having a nightlight you could not switch off. Would also be nice to have more than one towel and a mirror in the bedroom to dry hair. Comfortable bed but I didn’t sleep well due to the light issue unfortunately

Stayed here for work, nice reception from Peter. Shown to room (which had its own bathroom not ensuite). Bed was comfortable, decaf tea and coffee provided on request. TV channels in room were running from a computer and were not reliable, started watching one channel and then it just went and could not get it back. Free parking on site at venue.

An attractive oldish house outside but completely refurbished in a relaxed contemporary style inside. We enjoyed a large comfortable ensuite room overlooking a little internal courtyard. Although on the main road there was little traffic noise. Perer, in reception was welcoming and friendly.. we would definitely stsy here again

Disappointing

the room itself was good, clean, but sparsely furnished. Curtains/blinds were flimsy and see-through. Breakfast: my scrambled eggs were cold and the bacon so tough you could not cut it. Problems with heating: thermostat turned down to almost zero, bathroom towel rail roasting hot, so had to leave bathroom skylight open all night. Other guests staying had no heating. My brother and wife couldn't get into their room after returning at 10.30. Night manager eventually appeared in his pyjamas. Overall, would give our experience 4 out of 10 and would not recommend the Kingsley. It is vastly overpriced.

A fantastic 2 night stay in this beautiful hotel for my daughters wedding. The staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble had a great meal the first night and Peter went above and beyond offering wedding guests lifts to the venue and even allowed us to have a late night drink after the wedding. Would highly recommend.

Lovely place very welcoming, the room i'd booked was not en suite so had to pay more to move to a room with a bathroom. Descriptions need updating on hotels.com as all say private bathroom which is a bit too vague.
Having said that i would definitely go back lovely room, lovely people, very helpful and did feel that nothing would be too much trouble for them, the food was good too!

My 3rd time staying at the Kingsley as it’s close to our head office. As usual the staff were superbly friendly and helpful, the food was brilliant and the room was spotless and well equipped. Only minor complaint is that all the showers can take a long time to heat up and on this stay I could only get warm water from the handheld shower head and cold from the fixed overhead one. Beyond that it’s a relaxing place to stay with a great atmosphere.

Sadly paid £165 and booked, only to be emailed by the hotel saying we needed to pay a additional £25.00 as the price was incorrect, they have reported the issue but seemingly it is ignored. We had a false fire alarm go off at 12.30pm that took time to reset as staff where not on site. We were told wine or cider would be offered to compensate for the alarm issue but none was forthcoming. The \"camp\" additional beds in the 5 family room are uncomfortable, The hotel is charming and breakfast very good, Peter is very welcoming.

Lovely last minute stay

A small hotel in a lovely quiet position, even though it's just off a fairly busy road. I wasn't able to get there until after check-in but Peter waited for my arrival for which I was very grateful. The room was very modern, clean and overlooking a lovely garden. The shower and the TV were a little awkward to master, (even with a small instruction board for the telly!) but both were sorted in the end. The breakfast was nice, with a Spanish feel to a couple of the choices for those who want to try something a little different, although a full English and it's variations are still available. I'd definitely stay here again.

Good but not ideal in the summer

The room I stayed was a \"sauna\" , incredibly warm, impossible to sleep, This would be nice during the winter but avoid during the summer . Also the heater in the bathroom couldn't be turned off so that just made it worst.
Service was nice. The room details says there is a microwave upon request but that is not the case.
Didn't try the food but I understood they were flexible on the time for dinner or breakfast .

The hotel is very stylish and comfortable. The courtyard is very pretty especially the olive tree in the centre. The food was very pleasant with a distinct Mediterranean theme. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
We highly recommend The Kingsley and look forward to our next stay.

Couldn't stay there Read the review for more.

Although I made the booking, I found I couldn't stay there. When greeted by a staff member who was very polite, he showed me into the food area/bar/reception and it sadly smelled of stale grease from the kitchen, so eating would be a no for me. The Upgraded bedroom was dated and basic and not really what it was described as. I looked at a ground floor room which smelt very strongly of damp and would not have been a room i could have stayed either. The hotel still took the full payment through the \"T/C's\" of the booking of £124.00. So sorry, but for me sub standard, tired, Overgrown house on the side of a main road fits the bill.

We were greeted by Peter in the reception area. Upon check in we were told that our breakfast slot was 8am. While I can appreciate that a small b and b needs to be organised I felt that time the day after new year was a little early!
A later time agreed we were shown to our room across the courtyard and up a set of narrow steps to room 9. This room sadly not have a bath and faces the road at the front, if it was a busier road then I fear that it would been more of a sleepless night. Sadly the bed was too hard for my fiance and myself and the duvet was too thin for the time of year. The bull's head on the wall added nothing to the room and looked at you in bed. (Bit weird). I booked this place as reviews of the breakfast gave me the impression that that would be amazing...But I was a bit disappointed with the offering. On the cold table there was a amount of cereal and carton juices. But I would be expecting at least fresh orange juice as the international connections as told by Peter and previous guests. One sad croissant was taken by my fiance and we sat down to see what we'd have as hot option of 3 choices. I would expected to see at least a Spanish omelette and a vegetarian choice. I personally think that bread and oils is more of a starter for a evening meal. My fiance chose the English and I had scrambled eggs. There was no #homemade tomato sauce and my scrambled egg looked sad on one slice of dry toast with no seasoning. My fiance fared not any better his very oily

We had a one night stay in the family room. Peter met us on arrival and throughout our stay he could not have been more helpful and quickly booked us a table for dinner which we appreciated. The only down side was that the room is advertised as two double beds which it wasn't. The additional beds are fold up beds and the bed my adult son had was not really adequate and he did not sleep at all well. The breakfast was good although a little overcooked and there was a good variety other than the standard full English. We would certainly return but just be careful about the room we book and if necessary take a single for the third person.

Nice hotel close to Blackwater Golf Course

I stayed only one night at Kingsley and I highly recommend this to anyone that is looking for a quite room with the necessary things that a more expensive hotel will offer.
Peter has made my staff extra special for allowing an earlier check in and also a later check out. Breakfast sellection was included in my hotel rate and it was perfect. Hot choices such as eggs, bacon and sausage to your typical cereal and toast.
A friend visited me prior to my departure and we ordered tea and biscuits. I was pleasantly surprised when I wanted to pay, Peter again offered this on the house.
My stay was amazing and I will not hesitate to reccomend this establishment to anyone.

Really good stay after a Sandhurst ball. Family room was perfect for a group of friends to get ready and stay after. The hotel is quite small which gives it a bit more uniqueness to an average stay at a chain hotel. Very friendly service and an excellent breakfast. I need to be truthful and say how great my stay at The Kingsley was again, it is undoubtedly the best hotel in the Farnborough/Camberley/Fleet area, so if you need a hotel in this area then there is only one choice. Warm and informative welcome on arrival from Peter who showed me to a lovely,well furnished room at the front. The room was very pretty and had everything you would need for an overnight stay. Everything was pristine clean and fresh. The bed was really comfy and the bed linen was lovely.
Not quite so keen on the breakfast as very little choice. You helped yourself to cereal, yoghurt and whole fruit and the hot choice was very bread heavy for 2 of the items and then a regular English breakfast.

A truly unique experience. Quirky and very personal. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners and their staff. This is their livelihood and they know a happy customer is one who tells their friends and returns.
