I filtered to find a booking with a swimming pool and parking, because I used this app to book, neither were included in my booking ( despite this being my search criteria). Both came at an extra cost, but the leisure access was extremely restrictive for children so we were u able to use it. Our room ( despite booking with a child) was located directly above the fitness studio that booked music from 6am. The carpet was riddled with bugs that give my don a reaction all over.

The heating in our room wasn’t working. Someone came up instantly to have a look, realised he couldn’t fix for us straight away so gave us an electric heater. Issue was dealt with so fast!

Breakfast was nice, not as many options as others we’ve been to but plenty to fill us up on.

Room was exactly what we needed.
Starbucks onsite was definitely a bonus too!
Would come back again.

Staff are very friendly and helpful, hotel is modern and clean.
Our room had clearly had repairs done but these were not finished, large sections of wall damaged and filled in but not redecorated, there was also mould on the bathroom ceiling. The room is also very dark, due to lack of ceiling lights, not a problem in summer when light would stream through the nice big window. But in December, trying to get a family of 4 dressed and ready early in the morning in the dark was not ideal.

The front of house staff in the restaurant went above and beyond to be helpful, attentive and friendly at both breakfast and evening time. We were travelling with two excited children at Christmas time and they were both very chatty and accomodating which made the meal times easy!

We visited the hotel during December and it was geared up for Christmas parties. We arrived late and on arrival we had to battle with our suitcases through crowds of drunk people smoking at the entrance. There was nowhere quiet to eat as we wanted food as the main bar area was overtaken by party goers. The self check in was easy, but a member of staff rushed over and took over. She then asked me to scan a QR and leave her a review (even taking my phone to press the 5 stars and enter her name)…we had only just arrived and weren’t ready to leave a review. Assistance when in the room is all via a web chat which the team were slow to respond to and I was told I couldn’t eat due to my dietary requirements as they were too busy cooking food for the Christmas parties. Then at 10pm someone started to vacuum the hallway outside the room. I went to bed hungry and frustrated. Breakfast was better and someone far more friendly helped us check out. I wouldn’t recommend visiting in December again if not part of the Christmas parties.

Room was very clean and basic. Was surprised at how basic it was in comparison to other village hotels. Sheets didn’t fit the bed properly so mattress was exposed at the top when you moved the pillows. Lovely food in the restaurant. Staff were friendly.

We had an awful night sleep at this hotel, we were placed in a family room above either the gym or workout room as the music did not stop, it was so loud at 1am that I put in earplugs and I could still hear the music and vibrations through the pillow- to make matters worse at 6.15am a class started and the music was turned up even louder, waking both children.
The actual hotel was nice, well maintained and good facilities but we basically paid to not sleep!

Spacious and clean room and two comfortable double beds. Good shower room. Really quiet on 3rd floor especially given Christmas party night going on amd the busy pub on ground floor. Reasonable prices and more facilities than a premier inn which is probably a comparable standard. Pub food was average but some good offers on food and drinks if you join the rewards club app, breakfast buffet was better than dinner food. Really friendly staff at reception and in the pub/bar.

Two night stay, Saturday and Sunday night. On the Saturday the place was horrendously business and it was as if we had stepped into a nightclub with the noise from the bar!
They have self check in which is a bit of a nightmare but luckily a person became available to help.
The place is very well presented and maintained and our room which was on the first floor was small yet comfortable.
The bathroom had a great shower but poor extraction, so by the end of a shower the walls were dripping with condensation and there wasn't a dry spot in the bathroom!
The rooms are not soundproof and you hear everything. We were disturbed many times during the night with people walking down the corridor talking and slamming doors.
Thankfully on the Sunday night it was quieter but we were then awoken early by loud music from below. It then turned out that we were above a studio room in the gym where they were holding exercise classes. No lie in for us!
All in all, very mixed opinions about this place but will probably never use a Village Hotel again

Staff were really friendly and helpful. Room was clean and a good size, pillows weren’t that comfortable. We used the pool but were disappointed to find that kids could only swim till 5, check in wasn’t until 3 so by the time we got sorted there wasn’t much time. We ate at the restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised by the food it was really good, only complaint was that it’s a big open space so was loud and gives a sports bar vibe. We would stay at village again.

The socket next to the mirror also didn’t work; thankfully my hair straighteners have a long cable, so I had to use a plug across the room.

There is no light in the main room. Nd a bed side lamp only on one side. The was another lamp near tv but coldnt hve bothkettle and light on. Electrics were terrible.
Bathroonm had no fn which ment mirrors were unable for all. Poorest designed room i have ever been in . I expected more from village. Thought they were a good brand by so so disappointed. Staff were good and helpful.

Hotel was fine - check in was by touch screen but. Member of staff came over to help. I didn’t need it but they insisted and then tried to get me to leave a review by scanning their QR code on their badge and using their name. Was just a bit weird. And then they followed me to the lifts and tried to get me to use them even though I wanted to take the stairs. Again was just a bit weird!

Real mix bag. Hotel looks good & modern but fails practically.
Bathroom with no extraction, so condensation everywhere. Shower sprays water all over the floor. Really dim lighting in the room, no main light covering most of the room.
Hotel bar was full with football fans which isn't great if you're away with work and want to eat/work. Generally poor service for drinks and food. They were busy but just seem chaotic
That said. Check-in is quiet efficient, although they charge straight to the reservation card, most places check. Also it does have a great gym

Nice hotel, spacious and comfortable room. I do think they need to get the maintenance guys in though, one of the lifts didn't work and the other was hit and miss. Also I noticed one of the toilets was out of action. Had a problem in the restaurant too. I ended up ordering food twice and getting charged for it twice due to an online ordering error. The staff were however very helpful and made sure the duplicate order was cancelled and the charge credited. The staff were really helpful and pleasant and the food was OK. Breakfast had the usual choice of items but was pleasant.

Pleasant but check extra costs first

We stayed for two nights to incorporate a visit to family and a two day trip to Lego land. The hotel was a good location and was pretty nice inside. First time staying at a village hotel, I’m not sure I’d stay in one again as I find the concept odd, it’s like it’s trying to be a bit of everything- a fitness place, a drinkers place and a hotel. In the morning we could hear the exercise classes from our room and I found the food prices in the bar very expensive. The pool and spa area was nice but you did have to pay an additional fee to use. The breakfast was lovely - loads of choice but it was pricey so I was expecting good quality. You also have to pay for car parking at £5 per day so by the time we added on pool, parking and breakfast the cost soon added up. It was a pleasant stay overall.

Very disappointing stay

Really disappointed with our stay at Village Hotel Bracknell. The room was unbearably hot and despite them providing us with two fans and the window in the room
Being open we could not cool it down. Spent a lot of time with the door to the room being open to the hallway to try and get some of the cool air from the hall into the room. Absolutely awful nights sleep for both of our nights. Also disappointed to hear after coming back from a hot day at legoland that there are times for family swimming and it ended at 6.30pm so we couldn’t use the pool just after 6 when we returned, nobody told me about this when I checked in. We were also told on check in that breakfast was 8am- 10am then when we arrived for breakfast on our second morning at 9.30 they told us it ended at 9 as it was now on weekday times which was 6.30-9am but we weren’t told about this change in time so missed out on the breakfast we had paid for.

The hotel operates a leisure facility which constantly played music under or adjacent to the bedrooms. The spin class with motivational lady on a loudspeaker at 6:00am failed to motivate me as gave up entirely on sleep.

Shower very quickly flooded the whole of the bathroom floor as I was washing my hair. Despite reporting this to 3 different people by the time I checked out over 2 hours later no one had to turned up to do anything. I used all my towels to try and dry the floor, then had to go to the gym showers to rinse the shampoo out my hair.

Fabulous hotel with everything just perfect

What many hotels are missing, this hotel has it very right. The concept of a modern, welcoming hotel, with fun atmosphere. Darts, games tables, great meals, huge gym, impressive pool area, large bath towels, amazing breakfast, lovely outdoor seating area. This hotel has it all on offer. Family friendly as well.

Great location for a trip to Legoland, loved the bar showing sport and with a good menu. Tip - if you’re eating at the hotel, make sure you book a table as it gets full!
Rooms good, pool good, only improvement I’d say is that it could do with a mirror near the tv and some more lights! A bit dark in the downstairs rooms. Apart from that, 5 stars.

I made the most polite complaint ever, but there was no effort to follow up with my exacting complaint. I mentioned that the room was damp and unclean but the recipient of my email instead passed the buck and disposed the responsibility of blame lower down the chain of command to their cleaning team. Why do we appoint managers?
