This site needs some TLC. The drapes in the room were in shreds. The laminate was peeling off the furniture. Toilets were functional but very dated. The options for breakfast were limited, and the microwave was not working. There were no sugar substitutes available.

The waffles were great and the staff was very cordial.

The building is very dated, wallpaper paling at seams in halls and rooms, the furniture has a lot of wear and damage.
It was clean other than my shoes sticking to the bathroom floor a bit (probably residue from a mop bucket)
The breakfast wasn't much for a Saturday morning i was hoping for a muffin but all they had was bread, 2 yogurts waffle maker and fountain juice. And the coffee i didn't even bother to investigate.
But being the 2nd cheapest in the area you get what you pay for.
All i needed was a place for my son and I to sleep for the night.
Over all i would stay there again but i would never bring my wife there as is.

We had black mold all in the bathroom and the wall where you could see it and I had to take my baby to the hospital the next day because that is dangerous and not good for babies I will never stay here again I never had to deal with this and you can smell the mold

the place smelled of weed and the room was very dirty. carpet was torn in many spot missing did not look like it had even been vacuumed in months as well as mold in many spots thru out room. toothpaste all over bathroom sink faucet, soap scum in bath tub, random spot of dried who knows what splatter in places around the room. would not recommend to stay here.

When traveling I expect clean and safe. This was neither. The door lock was broken and room was dirty. The family in the room next door were screaming at each other for 3 hours and management was not able to resolve and were not able to move me to a new room quickly. Ultimately I canceled the rest of my reservation and moved to a Marriott.

They did not have any coffee maker or coffee in my room, no ice container for me to get ice from the ice machine maker, they did not change my towels in my room daily, and the bathroom toilet is broken, once you flush it it keeps on running all of this was in my room 220. I will never stay at that days inn ever again. Even the parking lot was horrible not plowed very good snow and ice everywhere very dangerous for seniors and people with disabilities.

Room was nasty, dirty, filthy! Bed dirty, blankets had burn holes, skirt had food and stains all over it. Wall nasty. Carpets not vacuumed and ripped everywhere. The whole hotel smelled like pot and nasty mold Oder. Fitness center was a joke and probably never is cleaned. Worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Breakfast was a joke. Parking was ridiculous. Horrible experience, I WILL NEVER STAY AT A DAYS INN AGAIN.

Staff: A+. Was loaned the only shovel after the snowstorm.
Amenities: Hot water: A+. Refrigerator: A++ (separate freezer and refrigerator compartments. Everyone should have this).
Room: Cold air leaking in around HVAC causing runaway heating. Turn it off, room gets COLD. Turn it on and ROAST. A towel underneath? Shower: showered morning of 2/5/2026. Went to shower 2/6/2026 and there was standing water. Terrible odor. Did not shower.2/6. Breakfast is carbohydrates (oatmeal, cold cereal, bagels, toast) and fruit (apples, oranges), coffee, orange and apple juice. A protein would be nice (eggs?) but there is no kitchen.

All that.. and it's only a minute from the airport to a bed. Two story building and there IS an elevator.

Room and restroom very clean. Staff friendly. Check-in smooth. Room 144: learned why the HVAC is determined to cook occupants: There's a COLD draft into the thermostat from outside. What to do? Turn unit on and roast or off and, truly, it does get cold. My solution: brought a blanket from home. Restroom needs a lamp over the sink area.

We were put in room 202 on a very frigid Saturday before a big snowstorm. I called the front desk at 10:15pm to ask for extra blankets and help with our heating unit which was set properly but was only blowing in cold air. I also asked about the possibility of switching rooms and we were told that everybody in the building was having that problem so it was not worth it. No one came to check on our heating unit or bring blankets. We ran out to Walmart to buy a space heater, but it could not contend with the barely insulated walls and the whooshing air coming in through the cracks around the heating unit. I called the front desk again at about 4:30am because my partner and I could not stay warm in the room, as reflected on the thermostat on the space heater that we bought - the room was only up to 47°F. I asked the night shift person for extra blankets, and he brought me a thin sheet because no blankets were available.

In the morning, I went to cancel our second night so we could stay somewhere else, but the morning shift front desk staff were appalled at how we had been treated, came to confirm that our heating unit was not working, and showed us other rooms we could switch to in the newly renovated section of the hotel, which were better insulated and had wonderful heat. So the first night was absolute crap and the second night was quite comfortable, which is why it’s not a one star review. This was our second visit, but I can’t promise I’ll stay here again.

The room was dirty, everything was cover with dust, the sheets were unmatched and extremely wrinkled (I slept on towels), the hall spelled of marijuana. There was not a coffee maker in the room, there was hairs stuck to the hangers and the faucet was only a trickle. The staff did give me a wake up call on time.

No sugar-coating here. Great staff. Easy check-in. Room 144.. THIN sheets and blanket. HVAC thermostat stuck ON. Does not follow temperature setting no matter what the front desk says. Too hot at any fan setting. Must wake at night to turn unit off. Refrigerator has separate freezer and refrigerator sections (!GOOD!). Good hot water. Single overhead light in bathroom throws shadows. Slow draining tub. No rugs. Cold floor. No overhead light in room, it's DARK. Very good office chair: rises enough for desk work. One AC outlet at desk (base of lamp has two with one dedicated to refrigerator) is not enough. Breakfast is make-your-own waffles, cold cereals, bagels, juice, coffee. No protein. 24-hour McDonald's next door. BEWARE: DRIVING HAZARD: Days Inn signs at entrance and exit on Ella Grasso have dead bulbs and are NOT lit. Staff replaced dead lamp bulb on request.

The room was definitely neglected. There was peeling wall paper and hairs scattered around the bathroom. There was peanut butter smeared on the door. We had to call the staff on the phone to get some help checking in. And the parking lot was a death trap covered in ice. I did not feel safe walking with my baby.

All around was horrible from the beginning. Very filthy place towels and bedding I asked for new bedding they wouldn’t give us clean towels or wash cloths said they didn’t have any. Im pretty sure the lady just didn’t want to get out of her phone when I say the pictures and reviewed are deceiving it’s not a joke. There was nothing for breakfast but cereal that looks like the same cereal from from of the pictures that was posted. Im not a complainer but I guess it’s true you get what you pay for thankfully we are on our way to a much cleaner place.

Room 150 is the first room in from the parking lot. HVAC has very good heat. Use fan Auto mode unless you like continuous fan sounds. Curtain is a little long, gets blown around by HVAC. Staff supplied paperclips to shorten curtain. Bathroom sink stopper stuck down. Room has a renovated stall shower with no place for a bar of soap or hang a washcloth. Handle rotate left for hot, right for cold, and lift handle to turn on water. Room is DARK, no overhead lamp. Need a lamp on the desk. No AC power at desk; outlets occupied by TV, cable box, refrigerator, and microwave. Other outlets on that wall filled with paint.

For property: side doors not openable with room card. Door 2, next to Rm 150, is openable. One elevator at middle of building. Parking is a few steps away from Door 2
Note: property is under aircraft flight path with occasional roar & thunder. I liked it but beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Had to report a broken bed frame to the front desk. The retaining clip on one side was missing. Bed slid sideways exposing the other end of the frame. My 91 year old dad caught the end of the bed frame with his ankle and fell thankfully he landed on the bed but he suffered a large bruise and a small cut on the ankle. We reported it. They apologized and said they will fix it before putting anyone else in that room. They also refunded the cost of one night of our two night stay.

She asked if I would take a double bed instead. I told her I didn't really want a double bed room. She said she was going to search. All over a sudden, she found a room. The only redeeming thing about this hotel is the airport shuttle but since it picks up at all the hotels by the airport, it doesn’t even count. The toilet was falling off the wall and when you sat on it, it fell down. They had placed a piece of pipe under it to keep it from falling all the way to the floor. It made the most horrific noise when it dropped. The phone was dead, the air conditioner didn’t work, there were no cups or anything to drink out of, no coffee pot, there was nothing! The bed was lumpy and the pillows were half pillows. I’ve never seen anything like it and don’t care to ever again. Too bad I can’t upload photos of the toilet situation. You wouldn’t believe it. The hotel is a disgrace!
