I've stayed here regularly for the last four years and I think standards have definitely slipped. My room's air conditioning was broken, I told reception on leaving for dinner and when I returned it was still broken with no acknowledgement from reception. The rooms are looking tatty, especially the bathrooms. There was no water in my fridge as there usually would be either.

I had an awful experience with the Dorsett Shepherd's Bush that necessitated in me having to leave the premises to stay at a nearby hotel. I'm still waiting for an explanation from the hotel as to why my checked in room (with do not disturb sign changing on the door) was accessed, my private property packed and removed by persons unknown without my permission. It was supposedly moved to alternative room which I hadn't requested and which was also empty of my belongings! My bag with papers, medication, clothes, private material etc was eventually found in lost property. I felt unsafe at the hotel. I felt lied to about what had transpired. Very troubling experience all together.

We just wrapped up our second annual stay at your wonderful hotel, and once again, it did not disappoint. A special thank you to Aaron at the front desk, who provided exceptional service and truly made us feel welcome. Now that we’ve headed back from London, we can say with certainty: whenever we return to the city, this will be our home away from home. An amazing experience all around!

This hotel seems to be getting worse.
The heating was not working, so after a complaint to reception I lucky to be provided with an oil filled radiator (my colleague with the same issue on a completely different floor was not so lucky).
The bedding was put on the bed with a sticky laundry label still attached (at least it was clean I guess). There was no bath mat for the over bath shower, so climbing out of the bath was treacherous.
Beverage tray only had camomile tea. I guess that was to calm your nerves before checking out.
After the first visit I don’t have breakfast here as the office is a 20 minute walk away and I can get a good and cheap breakfast there. My only experience of breakfast in the past (so not current feedback) was a very disappointing cooked to order breakfast that took much longer than it should.
The rooms are generally quite pokie, with either windows that face into the atrium, or have manefestation preventing you from looking out if you’re on a lower floor.
I try not to stay here, but unfortunately Shepherds Bush is not over-endowed with hotels, and as I said… the office is a 20 minute walk away.

The gentleman who checked us in was really nice. the lobby where you can get a drink at the Jin bar is pretty and they have water refill stations on each floor which is really handy.

Unfortunately, the air conditioning in our room didn’t work and it was absolutely sweltering the whole time we were there and very uncomfortable ! The room was also quite tired and there were so many stains all over the carpets!

We told the lady at the front desk when we checked out but she didn’t seem bothered and just said hope to see you again… rather disappointing.

Breakfast was pretty average. Not a massive selection, and there was no yoghurt or fruit left or being refilled either. The cooked breakfast buffet there was okay. Good quality bacon, sausage and eggs.

Over all it’s a good location but the fact our room air on didn’t work was a massive downfall for us.

I chose this hotel because the room had a fridge and a bathtub.
When i arrived I noticed that the toilet didn't flush properly,the sink didn't drain and the fridge wasn't working.
I talked to the staff in reception and they asked someone to have a look.They got the toilet working but nothing else.Tried to have a bath but could't get any hot water in the bath or the shower,only the sink had hot water,that wouldn't drain.Then I tried to have toast at breakfast but the bread got stuck in the toaster.A very polite man asked me to use another toaster since that one wasn't working properly.The AC didn't work at all and while the cleaning lady tidied my room,she also took all the toilet paper!
There was a roll in the holder when I left and when I got back the holder was empty!
For the first time ever checking out of a hotel they didn't ask me how I enjoyed my stay....can guess why.
The only good thing was nice towels and the wifi worked.

Fine for the price I paid - nicer than a comparable premier inn etc but miles from the service I would expect from a 4 star hotel. Toiletries in bathroom completely empty and not refilled despite asking on numerous occasions. “Please make up my room” sign ignored multiple nights in a row. Room walked into by housekeeping staff without a knock on door first. Location great - convenient for travelling pretty much anywhere in London and Westfield a 5 minute walk away. Room nice enough, although strong damp smell in the bathroom (thankfully only when the door was opened) and due to the design of the hotel very limited daylight through window. Would stay again but only if as heavily discounted as it was this time

Check in was slow, but good. Got to the room which had some stains on carpet, not a big issue. Went to the loo, toothpaste stains on sink as if uncleaned, wiped one with wet tissue and dark poo stuck to inside of toilet. Asked for housekeeping, but staff were off duty - it was very late. Was given a new room that was comfy and clean. Hotel is not what it used to be although staff was quick to act and very apologetic.

COMPLAINT-

We stayed at your hotel on Friday 21st November for one night.

We had disturbed sleep as in the night we heard extensive dripping water.

In the morning we were horrified to find the carpet sodden as there was a leak which we think was coming from the above room. Also, as we were preparing to leave, we were disturbed by the maintenance men wanting to get into our room.

We received no apology for this inconvenience. When we checked out, as compensation we asked for our bar bill to be refunded. The staff member said that it wasn’t showing on our room bill and reassured us it wouldn’t be process.

However, the sum of £22 was debited from my husband’s credit card on 22nd November- the day we checked out! Which highlights the incompetence of the reception staff.

Please refund this and consider compensation for this incident. If we had had any possessions on the floor where the carpet was wet it would have been badly damaged .

I chose to stay at this hotel again for 4 nights from December 4th to 8th, and I believed that I would be satisfied with the rooms as I had been in the past. However, I was extremely dissatisfied this time. Moreover, when dealing with a manager(morning shift on 2015/12/05)who was handling the room change, he was not friendly and his attitude was arrogant. He was unable to resolve my request. The hotel management should follow up and provide guidance on how to handle guests' requests. The issue arose on December 4th when I checked in and was assigned room 738 (see photo). There were some problems: a damaged cabinet, bed, lint on the carpet, a sink that wouldn't drain, and the room was unclean and had an odor. I requested these issues be addressed. I was then moved to room 715, but a few issues remained: the carpet was unclean, just like in 738, and the bathroom drain wasn't working properly. I again contacted the hotel to understand and request solutions, but the manager said there was nothing they could do. My only options were to choose between room 738 or 715 and have them cleaned again. No staff were instructed to inspect the room at that time, so I had no choice but to stay in the less problematic room 715. It wasn't until that evening, when I used the shower, that I discovered there was no hot water and only a small amount of cold water(see video). We were checked in 2 hours late. We get to the room (Deluxe Suite)and there is a distinct sewage smell, plus no robes or slippers as described on website and could not get blinds to operate in bedroom. We report this to reception who straightaway offer a 30% discount as if they knew there was going to be a problem. We ask for a clean of the bathroom and the sofa bed to be made up - we leave at 6pm, are back at 9.30pm - sofa bed linens have been put in room but bed has not been made nor has bathroom been cleaned - notify front desk, this is then done after 30 mins. This is only the experience of the first 6 hours of being here.

Saturday - Ask front desk if we can have room cleaned at 5pm as it has not yet been done - get back at 11.30pm, clean has not happened. Ask for fresh towels at front desk, they arrive at 0.15am.

This is the most I have spent on a single room in a hotel, and the single worst experience I have had at a hotel. The room should not have been sold to us in the condition it was in.

30% only covers the cost of the upgrade of the room, which was not worth the price. They could not offer alternative rooms due to being fully booked.

In general the hotel is very outdated. I was unlucky and got a disability room, which had missing comfort in the bath room. There was only one tap with cold water, the bathroom was run-down, and there was some kind of fresh, unidentifiable dirt on the shower curtain. Breakfast used to be better, too. That was my last time staying at the Dorsett.

Property amenities were good. We had suites and they were very quiet and comfortable. No external windows though which some people might not like - we overlooked the bar area.
Items provided were not as per Expedia listing - no bath robes or coffee machine in our room. Other people on our party had no bottled water in their room. When they called down for some, staff member was very rude and said “hope you’re not expecting them for free “ (even though it was supposed to be included in room). When they were delivered staff member just walked into room without knocking and put them on table and walked out.
Breakfast was nice, but most of it cold, and items kept running out.

Seems the hotel lobby is the only thing this hotel looks after. Upon arrival to the room, it was immediately clear that the room had not been properly cleaned. There was visible limescale on the shower taps and fittings, and mould on the walls, These conditions raise both hygiene and maintenance concerns. I’d not stay here again.

When we went into the hotel the lobby looked lovely but the problems unfortunately started when we entered the room. There was no hand soap or body wash and the drains smelt in the bathroom. We were heading out so didn’t get time to mention this to reception at the time but thought we’d speak to them when we got back. We arrived back a few hours later and spoke to reception immediately about this hoping the problem would be resolved quite quickly. We went back to our room for this to be sorted and noticed the pungent smell had got a lot worse. It smelt like drains and we were concerned a pipe had burst somewhere near the toilet or shower, drain the smell was that overpowering. We went back down to reception after about 30 minutes of trying to work out if we could deal with this and stay in the room, but we would not be able to sleep and we were also concerned about the nature of the smell and if it would be bad for us to sleep in a room with these fumes. When we spoke to reception, they saw we were two young girls and didn’t quite take us seriously and offered to get cleaning in to spray the room and bring in an air freshener. We walked away from reception feeling really dissatisfied and like we hadn’t been taken seriously. We waited for 30 minutes before speaking to reception again to say we really weren’t happy with staying in this room and that nothing had been done yet to solve it. We had to ask for another room, to which we were initially denied before they found us one.

Our stay at the hotel was deeply disappointing. Despite an inviting lobby, our experience was overshadowed by severe cleanliness and maintenance problems. We spent 3+ hours checking in because we had to change rooms 4 times because of mould in the air vents. We ended up viewing all the available rooms with the receptionist and 13 out of 15 rooms had significant amounts of green mould in the air vents, posing a serious health risk, especially as one of us has asthma. The staff tried to help, but the best we could do was settle for a room with less mould—yet it was still dirty, with toothpaste around the sink and brown stains on the bathroom floor that turned out to be feces residue. They ordered cleaners but they never showed the first or following day, so we had to clean the bathroom ourselves, including feces stains.

The air circulation was poor, with non-opening windows and mouldy ventilation, making the room stuffy and hot even with the aircon on. Sleep was difficult and the environment made our trip exhausting rather than enjoyable. On checkout, there were further frustrations over a refund: initially promised a full refund for the first night, but we ended with 20% off the entire stay which was less than the agreed amount for day one.

Receptionists Yareth and Dante did their best, but the scale of the issues was overwhelming and widespread. Ultimately, our experience at this hotel was the worst we’ve ever had, and we would strongly advise others to avoid it altogether.

The \"gym\" is exceptionally poor. Tiny studio room in which NONE of the treadmills, bike or cross trainer functioned. The weights range only went to 10kg.
Room was generally clean but there was blood, or something the same colour on the right hand curtain, waist height, in room 5111. Restaurant was fine for dinner and breakfast.

Positives: front-of-house staff were friendly, breakfast was good and overall the hotel was attractive and clean. Our room was overlooking the hotel interior so lovely and quiet - though I prefer some natural light. Love the water bottle refilling stations on each floor - we really needed them (see below)
Room for improvement: some areas of inattention in maintenance and housekeeping. All the soap/shower gel dispensers were empty on our arrival, so we had to ask for them to be filled, and tea/coffee in the room was not replenished the whole four nights. The bathroom radiator was leaking and had obviously been doing so for some time. One of the bedside lights was missing so only one person could see to read at night. I asked about getting another but nothing happened. Mattresses and pillows were on the hard side. One day one of our pillows mysteriously disappeared from the room and we had fo ask for its return. Biggest gripe was the climate control, which kept defaulting to a temperature that was too warm, was impossible to turn off and noisy. The air was so dry we were constantly thirsty and waking up with scratchy eyes. On two mornings the restaurant ran out of all bread and pastry options except sliced for toast, half way through service. Niggles like this all make a difference and mostly shouldn't be hard to put right without guests needing to ask.

We have stayed at Dorsett Shepherds Bush just for one night and it was our second stay at this hotel and we would definitely be back again. The hotel has a very friendly and helpful staff and the bar area is very enjoyable. The rooms are of a good size and clean and in good working order and the bed is very comfy for a good night sleep. The area the hotel is located was very convenient for us to attend a concert (walking distance to both Exhibition White City and Eventim Apollo) and there is a lot of highly rated pubs and restaurants nearby to choose from. We both very much like the hotel and will be returning again, so definitely recommend it.

I received a complimentary upgrade, which was greatly appreciated.
The hotel is very stylish, the rooms are nicely appointed.
The staff are very attentive and polite, showing a great mix of warmth and professionalism.

The only downside to the room that I was allocated was the slight damp smell which emanated from where the shower obviously leaked slightly over a period of time and had discoloured the wood of the door frame to the bathroom.

The hotel is located perfectly for two different train stations, lots of convenience stores and quite a few different places to eat.

I would gladly stay here again.

Comfortable stay, good breakfast

Bedroom was clean - although the bathroom looked ready for an update. Very little natural light, as the window looked out into the lobby atrium. Decent facilities in the room (mini-fridge, iron and ironing board, safe, kettle), and the air conditioning worked well. Some issues with the TV, primarily with the remote control. Also had to ask for extra tea bags in our room when we first arrived because there was only a couple of herbal teabags and no coffee. Great breakfast, though, with a good selection of options. Perhaps most importantly, the bed was comfortable and we slept very well.

There were no pillow cases on the pillows. I wanted to go to sleep but couldnt with no pillowcases. I phoned reception - very difficult to get anyone to answer. When someone finally did, they promised the pillow cases would be brought to my room within 10 minutes. Half an hour later I rang reception again to say they hadn’t arrived. Took about 15 minutes to get an answer. Again they promised to bring the pillowcases. 45 mins later, nothing had arrived. I went down to reception and only then, 1 hour and a quarter after requesting, did I finally get the pillowcases. There was no handwash for the sink. And no complimentary teabags, only coffee. Lovely hotel , very modern. Very clean , comfy beds. Elemis products in bathrooms.
Breakfast was a let down, long wait for cups and the machine coffee was luke warm. Would stay again but not bother with breakfast

7th floor experience.

Generally a good experience. Asked for a quiet room, ended up on the 7th floor facing the main roads, so not too quiet. Also sounded like I was next to a plant room that rumbled all night. Panoramic view from thiis floor from room spoilt by very dirty exterior windows.

5***** hotel

Hotel stuff friendly, allowed us to keep our bags at the hotel before checking time. Room was very tidy, clean and very comfortable. It was a short walk to the shopping centre and tube. Would recommend and stay again
