Hostal Los Alpes had a nice clean cheery room for us, very well appointed: we had mini microwave, mini fridge, electric kettle, three ceramic cups, three glasses, coffee, tea and even condensed milk with mini muffins and candies. There was a mini safe in the wardrobe (that we did not use).The receptionist was helpful, the cleaning lady was making our beds every day and even did our laundry per request (10 euros). Location was pretty good, in the walkable center and right next to Gran Via metro station and bus stops (buy a tourist transportation card, it is very convenient) . The street itself is lined with shops, and there are more of them on Gran Via. Warning: the street is converted to a walkable only, so taxis/Uber may bring you to a parallel street and let you out to find your way to the actual place. We had to cross from this street through a small lane on the left side to Fuencarral street proper, and the location is a kitty corner from Victoria's Secret store. Another warning: if you are taller than 6 ft, the beds and bathtub may feel small for you. In general, we liked the place and would stay there again.

Location couldn’t be better. Just 2 minutes from La Gran Vía. Close to public transportation. Walking distance to Plaza del Sol, and other landmarks The Chueca neighborhood offers great restaurants. The tons are confortable and clean. We choose private bathroom. Was a great stay!

The AC unit not working at all since not in season, no notes book to explain the emergency cases .no English langue services from reception, no fire detective devices were notice inside the rooms, no garbage bin inside the Wc, no cooling device inside the room manly two plates two big plates, and two glasses and tea glasses, oven and bread toaster and bottle cattle with 2 forks ,2 one-two knifes ,one wine bottle opening one big sizer. the inner elevator four people capacity reach from ground floor up to the middle level per ech floor you need 10 steps then to reach your front door. You need three keys to enter the building and floor level and your room.no any services provided to the clinet.no answer or reply.
THE money value for a such tinny /micro room is extremely high.

Fantastic break in Madrid!
I had a fantastic 7 days stay in this hostel. The hostel is only a couple of minutes walk from Gran Via metro. Excellent location for transport links, shops, restaurants and central tourist attractions.
I had a very nice room in the hostel with air con, ceiling fan, radiator, microwave, fridge, tv, shower and sink. The room was cleaned on a daily basis including fresh towels. Really impressive! Also, a double window to a court yard area so had some natural sunlight which was welcoming. The hostel occupies the fourth floor of an old building. There is a lift and although the building is on a very busy shopping street, my room was peaceful and quiet.
I would certainly recommend this hostel for a stay in Madrid.

Great value hotel in Centro location. I think we were upgraded as our 15m room was well over 20m, with balcony (locked access) and an amazing view over Madrid. Like a penthouse suite with awesome sunrises. Excellent small bathroom and great to have a fridge and desk. Note that there is half a flight of stairs up to the reception from the lift and our unnumbered room was another flight up.

Si el hostal se utiliza sólo para dormir está bien, es conveniente por la ubicación pero no para permanecer allí durante el día. Hay ascensor para subir hasta el piso 4 donde está pero desde el ascensor debe subir por la escalera como faltando medio piso. Tener esto en cuenta si no puede subir o bajar escaleras o cargar el peso de la maleta.

This Hostal is like stay in your grandma house (in a good way) it's cozy and memorable. It's close to Grand Via Metro (4 minutes walk) and close to everything dining, shopping,etc. You need first to make the check in online. I came 1 hour earlier and they prepare my room in 20 minutes, but you can leave the luggage and explore Madrid until check in hour. The room is a great size and has a bathroom (small), you can't hear any noise from outside(that's a plus).The building has elevator but you can't get directly to the floor is just couple steps of the next floor. I really recommend this Hostal to any one.

The property is very conveniently situated at the turn off from Gran Via, near the shopping strip. It’s very clean, though room is small it can accommodate one person with attached bath cubicle, wash basin, mini fridge, microwave and even a small electric kettle. Room is not sound proof, can hear staff talking at reception area and neighbouring rooms. Reception staff do not speak English at all and not hospitable. Got irritated easily when asked some questions but overall, great price for a clean and conveniently located hostel for couple of nights stay in Madrid!

It's probably my own fault, as I don't speak Spanish. Cleaners, who lives in the property too, were banging on the door of the communal toilet when I am sitting with the number 2 and shouting something in Spanish every time I use facilities. It was quite embarrassing. Eventually, on the fifth day, one of these senioritas confronted me on the way back to my room and explained in mixter of Spanish/sign language that customers are not allowed to use bath/shower in the toilet room. You supposed to go to your room as it is. Sorry girls. Simple sign note on the toilet door would solve the problem. Although, at my poin of view, it woul look ridiculous. Also windows of the rooms face the well. You can here all noisy people around. The rest of my stay was excellent. Thanks

Great location and hostel itself is quiet. It is, however, located solely on the third floor of a building. I don’t know if the fourth floor is a private apartment, however they do own a piano and seem to enjoy practicing late into the night. Like 11pm. If you’re older and don’t party hard, perhaps a quieter place is for you. It’s not the fault of the hostel, but I wish I knew this detail. Will be staying elsewhere on my return.

Great hostel on a great location. Kind staff, my room clean, I received new towels every day and my room was on the patio side (4th floor), which was very quiet at night. The hostel is also really close to the metro, stores, restaurants and many touristic interests.

Riktigt centralt, prisvärt och bra hotell
Allt var toppen förutom att fjärrkontrollen till AC:n inte fanns i rummet. Morgonen därpå fick vi den efter förfrågan. Borde legat i rummet direkt i och med att AC var definierat i bekvämligheterna. Litet säkerhetsskåp i garderoben som inte var fastsatt, hade bara varit att bära med sig.
I övrigt var allt toppen, fräscht rum med tomt kylskåp. Otroligt centralt läge på bra shoppinggata.
Vi kan absolut tänka oss att komma tillbaka till detta hotell.

A localização é imbatível. Hotel simples, mas muito bem localizado, fica numa rua com diversas lojas e está muito perto da Grand Via, da estação do metrô e tem acesso à linha de ônibus gratuita 001. O quarto tem chaleira, um pequeno frigobar e um micro-ondas que facilitam a vida do turista. A Marieta foi muito atenciosa e prestativa.

Em Madrid é muito comum esse tipo de acomodação, os hostals. São interessantes, com bom preço e, geralmente, com excelente localização. Pelo que se propõe, o hostal los alpes é excelente. Tem camas confortáveis, de tamanho médio. Tem banheiro bom com água quente, apesar de pequeno. As amenidades são ótimas, ajudam o viajante. Tem o serviço de deixar as malas lá após o check-in. A localização é bem no coração da Gran Vía, dá pra fazer praticamente tudo à pé. O espaço do quarto é bom, não é apertado. O prédio em si é mais antigo, mas possui elevador que funciona bem. Os funcionários são simpáticos, mas a recepção tem horário, não é 24h, então é necessário estar atento ao horário de funcionamento para check-in. Enfim, valeu muito à pena!
