Room was a disaster. Dirty beds, sheets \"cleaned\" but had a terrible odor, Mold in the shower, Broken lockers, Exposed wires from bed lamp, Unsanitary and unsafe living conditions. Someone was messing with my bag in the middle of the night.

The room and bathrooms were not clean and there is a lack of organization. I arrived and someone was in the bed they assigned to me, so I went to the front desk and they just said to take a bed that was free. Same situation with the lockers, and many of the lockers were broken. Staff comes in during the day and asks if people checked out or not waking everyone up. Since people are not in their assigned beds they do not know who is supposed to be there or not which seems like it can be a safety risk.

La habitacion tenia mal olor, los lockers o no abrian o estaban quebrados, no hay espacios entre las literas, ni nada qie las cubra para privacidad. Adicional a eso, me asignaron una cama y cuando regresé en la noche habia alguien mas alli, bajé a la recepcion y el chico me dijo que la gente se acuesta donde quiere que yo tenía que buscar otra cama. La verdad no recomiendo quedarse en este lugar

The worst hostel I’ve ever stayed in. STAY AWAY. Filthy, dirty, smelly. The bathroom door had no lock – to keep it closed, you had to wedge a towel at the top. Everything is sticky, everything is dirty, the toilets reek, the showers are disgustingly filthy, full of mold and grime. At night, no one respected quiet hours. The atmosphere made you fear for your life and belongings. I didn’t sleep a wink because of the noise and fear. Worse than a prison cell.

we reserve and paid 3 nights and only stay 1, we ask to have air conditioned and they didnt have it, also we feel very unsafe with persons with rádios só loudy in the reception, all very dirty and things broken, this hotel must close and expedía need to close them to offer!!!

It’s a good option for staying close to the action in Madrid, the sol and gran vía area. It is also very affordable but unfortunately you can see that for being able to offer such low prices they are quite understaffed, and that results in long waiting queues at the checkin counter, and the minimal cleaning of the rooms.

Terrible experience from start to finish. Checkin took over 1 hour in line. Lockers were too small for my bag, had to rent of their storages at the entrance, they said I would get my 5 euro deposit back and it would be only 1.5 for the night. Completely false, during checkout a very nasty receptionist said she wasnt giving the 5euro back, it was a charge. To top everything off when i got back around midnight another guest was in my bed. Had to move him to get my stuff under the pillow and sleep in another bed. Bathroom door was broken, doesn't close, had to put by bag against it so people wouldn't walk in. Room was next to a very busy street at ground level. Awful night to say the least.

To begin with from less to worst: the room was too crowded of beds, could barely pass to my bed, some lockers were broken, bed not made, bathroom dirty, dust balls on floor, but I overlooked that and went to common area (dining room) which smelled terrible (every day of my stay at night time) regardless I sat to work on my laptop and a cockroach walked on my feet a guy stepped on it to kill it, I let staff know and they did nothing, asked for a refund to go somewhere else for the remaining days of my stay due to lack of the hygienic conditions, I was denied and manager never contacted me. At night the lamp from the patio stayed on all night long so the bedroom looked as it was daylight, no way to rest. After shower the bathroom and all bedroom was flooded! Nothing done from staff...

The hostal is located in the vibrant city center of Madrid. The rooms have a certain charme of a prison cell and offers the bare minimum a budget accommodation needs to offer. Unfortunately, the unqualified receptionist, the permanent running water of the toilet and the constantly blinking lights of the fire detector did not leave a positive impression.

CHEAP STAY -GREAT LOCATION -BAD SHOWER

Uh oh not too clean, maybe not the safest

I rated it higher than I would have because it was super cheap. It’s a dirty place but what can you expect. The security is not so tight, a homeless man tried to walk out with a blanket and sheets. They also let people sleep on the sofas that are around the tables in the common area so it smells like feet and people who have not showered in a while, which is the same place breakfast is served. The place is not exactly at number 3, walk down a bit and you will see the hostel sign. I called them to see which address it actually was and was on hold for so long I hung up bc international rates. They were not friendly at all and forgot to give me my passport back. But I remembered in the middle of the night and they guy working then was a lot nicer than the ladies earlier. The elevator was leaking lubricant oil and stained my luggage and my clothes on the way out. Wasn’t worth staying there to save the money. Unless your 17 and don’t care at all or want this type of experience, I would skip it

I m sorry to complain, very seldom I had this to do, but sometimes in life u have to do it in order to help others. Skip this place 1.unprofessional staff 2.they let check in till 6 in the morning without give basic educational guide lines to customers, so it is impossible to rest during the night 3.they don't have any securities system or watchman, in fact anyone can enter daytime or nighttime in the hostel, it happened also some guys were stolen their belongings

Reception takes forever to serve you

Lovely Hostel which was clean and great location. The only problem was Reception took so long to serve you even if checking in at 2:30 am. I had a further nights stay impending but the above fact coupled with the fact you pay 10 euros if you want to leave your suitcase at any time lead to me cancelling it and going elsewhere. Also strict 10am cut off for breakfast including drinks.

A great hostel with good breakfast and location just the check in even at 2am took so long and check out took time too. Make sure you get your drinks and food for breakfast before 10am as they shut it off swiftly. Clean and tidy rooms

On my arrival i noticed that my room did not have a door knob. I had to request to have a change of room. The second room was not clean, as well as the showers. I had to go over my friends hostel to take a shower. My room pass would rarely work so i had to go to the reception to reactivate it. I do not recommend this hostel to anyone.

it was independece day , just one person working at place, only one, she gave my locker and my towel , like in jail. but wen i arrived , everybed was ocupaid , it takes 2 hours gave me the place, it was a mess , one person was robed inside the place, i could sleept well. please dont sell this place. terrible

Perfect location in the centre of the city a minutes walk away from the main shopping district. Rooms are a bit small for the amount of people in then but they have good lockers so there is no issue with security. The breakfast is advertised as Continental but consists only of poor quality cereal and toast with a drink. Overall, I would recommend it only to solo travellers staying no longer than two or three nights.

The hostel was very standard and included clean sheets, a fine room, and well-functioning wifi. There were no towels so be sure to bring your own and the lockers did not come with locks. Additionally, there is no luggage storage. The only big problem I had is that the key card they gave me had to be reset two times during my three-night stay. Not a huge problem but definitely annoying.

You get what you pay for. It's not awful. It's clean, there are private bathrooms and there's a light breakfast included. That being said, the beds aren't super comfy and the building is a bit dated. However, it's a good price for staying the night or visiting for a few days. If you're on a budget, it works fine. If you can afford a bit more, I think there are better options in Madrid. Would I stay here again? Potentially. If I need a cheap place to stay that's clean and has a bed and a shower, I know where to go.
*Side note. The first night was SO HOT. The heater was on and if your bed isn't one of the ones by the windows you just have to suffer if they didn't want to open the windows to get some fresh air.

Disappointing acomodation

I think I made a mistake at some point. I have been in Madrid many many times and I am very well aware of hotel rates in this city. When I was asked for 60 dollars for this room I thought I would be staying at a nice place but not a hostel. There are plenty of far better places in Madrid for this money. I should have asked the people around how much they had payed for their rooms for I'm sure it was not 60 bucks.
It is very well located though, but don't go if you are asked more that 30 dollars.

One of my friends staid over when she was not supposed to, instead of the staff being polite and nice or telling us to pay downstairs ( which we said we will do after) they got security telling me he is going to smack me and insulting me. Also he said to take the problem outside as if he was going to fight me.

Rude staff and money-stealing actions

Getting to the hotel a few hours after last check in the rude and ill mannered clerk informed me that my entire stay was cancelled and booked for someone else and that I’ve lost my money as well. To dismiss me she said there were no rooms available where a simple check on Orbitz showed the contrary. Very bad policies and run down facilities, I would recommend Mola Hostel instead, excellent facilities and VERY friendly staff.

Sehr nette Restaurants und Bars in der Nähe. Außer der Dame beim Frühstück Personal total unemphatisch. Ort ohne jegliche Atmosphäre. Kein Kontakt zu anderen Hostelbewohner. Der ganze Ort wirkte auf mich wie ein Flüchtlingsheim. Keine gemeinsame Aktivitäten wegen fehlenden Einrichtungen möglich. Tische und Bänke in Eingangsbereich unsauber.

Habitación sin clima, por más que lo reporte no hicieron nada al respecto. Sin amenidades tales como teléfono, TV, plancha, secadora de pelo, vasos desechable, la puerta de la habitación no contaba con seguro. La limpieza de la habitación no se hacía a diario. No tengo nada en contra de la propiedad pero en lo personal mi estadía pudo haber sido mejor.. Pero en otro hostal!

Queda frente a un parque en donde la gente pasa constantemente tomando, hablando fuerte etc, por lo cual nunca pudimos dormir del todo bien. Y si cerrábamos la ventana era para asarnos ya que no cuentan con ventilador ni nada! El hostal parece refugio de personas o algo por el estilo, no hay tv, el internet se arruinó el primer dia que llegamos.. En fin! Lo único bueno es que queda cerca de gran via, restaurantes, tiendas etc! Pero la verdad no me volvería a quedar en este hostal!

Hola nada mejorable, poca intimidad en las literas, muchas luz por la mañana en el cuarto, destartalado, parecen literas/ camas de antiguo acuartelamiento. Gel de baño que es una espuma, es caro para lo que ofrece por muy céntrico que sea, el Staff de la mañana desagradable no quiso abrirme el baño a unos si a otros no, mucho cartelitos de perdonen las molestias, mucho BlaBla pero poca efectividad. Solo para una noche 2 no te quedas ni loco.

Super Lage, sauber, aber nur bedingt zu empfehlen

Gute Lage und sauber, aber mehr als Asylheim, 80% der \"Gäste\" waren junge Männer, als junge Frau war es sehr unangenehm, weil man immer durch Frühstücksraum muss und da sitzen sie immer und glotzen einem nach.. Ich habe mich sehr unwohl gefühlt. Der Unterkunft ist sehr abgewohnt, aber sauber. Frühstück ist eine Zumutung und der Kaffee noch schlimmer. Nicht zu empfehlen.
Schade, das es so ist, wie es ist, ich hätte gerne diese Umstände vorher gewusst, hoffentlich ist meine Bewertung jetzt für andere hilfreich.

Check in at 2pm was a nightmare, more than a hour waiting. The attendant ask me to pay there but i had already payed. So be careful.
The private room was ok.

Decepcionante.

Personal muy antipatico y pesado, le gritan a sus huespedes.
El desayuno es cafe y pan tostado. Ruido a todas horas de los huespedes, las puertas cierran muy fuerte.

Preferi salir todo el dia a estar ahi.

La habitación no tiene buena condiciones para una buena estancia pues el aire es controlado y apenas se siente en la habitación, no hay percheros, ni secador de pelo, ni plancha. El desayuno nada bueno y la ducha del baño en mal estado, el toilet flojo y la bañera se le acumula el agua. No la recomendaría y no volvería a quedarme en ese hotel.

Aceptable por el precio

Las taquillas no se cierran con candado, pues no puedes dejar nada de valor. Hay una sensación de inseguridad, ya que no hay control de acceso al salón y ascensor/escalera y nadie vigila quien entra. La recepción está bien, hacen lo que pueden ya que hay solo un puesto, pero son eficientes. Desayuno ok. Vale lo que cuesta. Podrían mejorar la parte de seguridad y luego cobrar un poco más.
