Perfect location. Close to everything (metro, food, shopping...etc). Very quiet and friendly staff. The two things that I was not satisfied is: 1. The air in the rooms is centrally-controlled condition. During the time of my stay, it wasn't working, so my room was HOT HOT. I was sweating through the night. And if I open the windows for fresh air, it gets too noisy. 2. Lack of variety choices for breakfast, wish there were more options.

There was no AC. Reported this to both the staff and Expedia and nothing was done. Was told that although the AC is only turned on during the summer months, technically the hotel did have AC so I was forced to cancel without a refund. Checked out less than 2 hours after checking in and wasn’t offered any reimbursement. Would never recommend this hotel

Well located, this property is worth considering if you’re the kind who doesn’t mind walking around, including going to the main centres of attraction (Museo Nacional del Prado, Reina Sofia Museo, etc.).
The staff is very friendly and ready to give you a hand in case you’re looking for restaurants.
The breakfast buffet is well served but might need some extra in the “health section” with more choices.

The hotel staff was so nice. We arrived quite early from the airport and with my 90 y.o. mother, planning to just leave the luggage and kill some time before check in. But, the hotel staff was so nice they insisted my mother go and relax in the room. Everything was perfect during our stay.

The hotel is very central and close to everything. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and it’s just a few blocks from Gran Vía. The room was standard but always clean; it did get a bit warm at times since the heating is centrally controlled, but you can request extra sheets if you don’t want anything too warm.

Cons:
You can’t hear any noise from outside, but the walls between the rooms are very thin, so you can hear the guests next door.

The property is very well located v
If you want to be in the center and walking distance tto everything. And indeed, it's location is it's best feature.

But given the Brand, and the 250€ ++ price point,, one would expect more.....much more.

My honeymoon with the property ended the first time I opened the door to my room. The musty smell of well used carpet was overpowering and I ended up leaving the window open most of the evening to compensate. It smelled very similar to the carpet in a well used roadside motel. I ordered extra towels to create a sanitary path from the bathroom to the bed . Highly recommended.

I was very thrilled to fined super good sound insulation from the outside street/bar noise. When the double windows are closed, one gets only a whisper from the outside. Unfortunately there is little to no soundproofing between the rooms

The noise between the rooms icomes thru in 100% high fidelity. Every toilet flush, every personal act and indeed every person conversation is heard without effort. Ny neighbor's snoring sounded as if he/she was sleeping next to me .

While the location is very good , but there are far better voptions in Madrid.

While the staff are all courteous, professional and helpful, the hotel is nearing the need for an upgrade.
We were assigend a suite, lime green in colour, in velvet crush for an elaboorate bed ensemble that had stains on it, making it look dirty.
In another suite (we had two separate booking over a number of days) the sink was cracked...there is simply no excuse for that.
The shower floors have stains in the grout, apparently from cleaning neglect.
Yet, as I stated, the staff were fantastic!

We booked this hotel because we wanted to use this area the room was lovely and staff helpful, it’s in a good position just off the main shopping area.

I find it unethical when a hotel is undergoing renovations and don’t bother to tell its customers. I mean we received at least 4 emails prior to our arrival so they have no issue reaching us to communicate. Surely you feel gauged when you pay €250/night and you arrive to find the hotel is renovating the entrance. Staff were very friendly and assured us we would hear no noise, and to tell them if we do. Well when you are jet lagged, have an afternoon nap and wake up by the noise what use to tell them? I am sure all rooms would have heard that hammer knocking.
Without renovations, the location is great, the room size is decent, the top floor view is wonderful, but not sure why they close the pool in October.

As an American traveler this hotel was a bit odd for us but not terrible. It’s very expensive to stay in Madrid and this was one of the cheaper options but still pricey. It was clean and the staff was incredibly helpful. Our “standard room” had a toilet room on one side of the room and the sink and shower at the other end…The hallways were VERY DARK and lit only by some funky neon lighting. I think the property was being repaired in places. The buffet breakfast was excellent. Lots of dining and shopping options within walking distance.

Fantastic hotel in centre of Madrid overlooking Plaza Pedro Zerolo with a nice rooftop pool that had much better sunbed availability/ pool space than the Riu Plaza España. Very good value for money, attentive staff, comfortable bed, good facilities. Cannot complain at all!

Nos encantó hospedarnos aquí, al llegar las chicas del front desk fueron muy atentas, nos dieron una cantidad de información del lugar, que visitar y restaurantes. El aire acondicionado en el cuarto es deficiente, no enfría suficiente, llamamos y mandaron a mantenimiento pero nada pudo hacer, es así y punto. El barrio es espectacular muy conveniente para caminar a la gran vía y cerca de todo, excepcionalmente la localización. No te dejes influenciar si te dicen que tanto el hotel como el barrio es gay/ lesbian friendly. No pasa nada, yo vi pero no me molestó en absoluto y todo muy bien bajo en control normal, este comentario me sugestionó cuando me informó el taxista pero no ha influenciado para poner un 5 star review., preocúpate porque el aire en tu habitación esté funcionando correctamente todo lo demás un 10++++

Check in was really smooth. The crew at the front desk was very friendly and willing to help. The location is superb. The only thing that I was not happy about was that the room was never made on the last day of my stay. I left the room around 10am and came back around 4pm to a room that was not touched at all. These are details that need to be taken care of. It was a flaw in my stay for sure.

This staff at front desk was great. We got there before check-in time and they told us room wouldn’t be ready until 3pm. We were able to leave our luggage there. Before we knew it they called us and got us our room early. Room was very spacious and bed was very comfortable. The roof top view and bartender were the icing on the cake. We enjoyed the seasonal Vino Tito de el verano. The location was walkable to main site or easy to catch a taxi. Loved the hotel would stay again.
