It’s a great location and staff are good, but the hostel itself is average.

Dorm beds have privacy curtains which is great, plus a light, ledge and socket. Shared bathroom facilities are clean and functional. For once, a towel is provided without an additional charge.

There is a large communal area, but annoyingly there is no kitchen area. So there are no communal fridges to keep your drinks or food cool in hot weather, and no way to prepare any food. In a hostel of this size, they should have some form of kitchen or refrigerators.

Overall it’s a good base to explore for a night or two, but probably not the best for backpackers.

¡Una experiencia inolvidable por un precio increíble!

Este hotel superó por completo mis expectativas. Por el precio que pagamos, recibimos muchísimo más de lo esperado. Para nuestra sorpresa, nos ofrecieron un *upgrade a una suite*, lo que elevó la experiencia y realmente marcó la diferencia en nuestro viaje.

El *personal fue excepcionalmente amable y atento*. En varias ocasiones necesité un cargador y no dudaron en prestármelo, lo cual fue un gran gesto de hospitalidad. Quiero hacer una *mención especial a Richard (creo que era su nombre)*, quien nos atendió con una actitud excelente. Nos contó que es de Venezuela, y se nota que pone pasión en lo que hace. ¡Un verdadero ejemplo de buen servicio!

Sin duda volvería y recomendaría este lugar a cualquiera que busque calidad, comodidad y atención impecable sin gastar una fortuna y con la mejor ubicación en Madrid!

Overall a great stay at an affordable pricCentrally located so it’s completely walkable. It needs some minor maintenance in the big women’s bathroom. The electric plugs were not working, so couldn’t use the hair dryer or hand dryer. That said there are two other smaller bathrooms where you can. The cleaning staff was great, they cleaned daily. I know because I stayed 4 nights. It’s also probably one of the only hostels that has 2 bed bunk bed dorms for women (that means it’s only you and one other woman). It seems a lot of people go for a the night so I didn’t really meet anyone. Ifyou’re looking for a hostel that has a community vibe, this might not be it. Or maybe it happens when you stay in rooms with more people. The staff was very attentive and diligent. Willing to help and guide you in the right direction to whatever you needed. The elevators worked, it has AC (although it still felt warm for my liking in the room)) the lobby is the coldest place you can be in Central Madrid. They had a pretty good lounge area to eat and work, mostly for that purpose. Didn’t spend a lot of time there, but it’s what I saw. They also hold your luggage for a fee if you check out and need that service. On the maintenance side it could also do with a magic eraser on the walls or a fresh coat of pain. The charger ir in the entrance where the staid go to the next floor could be changed to a newer one or use a deep clean. But it is still the coolest place in town!

Not a good experience

I tried this hostel for the first time, an enthusiastic receptionists told me it would be the greatest I've stayed ever, which I challenged jokingly, here are the reasons why my stay was not good and what you can expect.

Pros:

- Location is fantastic, close to the bus stop to the airport, right at the beginning of Gran via.
- Staff is friendly
- Building feels in good condition, it was well insulated from outside noise or at least my side of the building.
- Wifi is fast (when it works, check cons)

Cons:

- The mattress clearly needs a replacement, the pillow needed a replacement 5 years ago, quite uncomfortable.
- Doors slam quite bad and wake you up.
- Toilets are limited depending on the side of the building you are in.
- The main common area has a terrible power outlet distribution and layout.
- The \"kitchen\" area had not much at all, they had a problem with the kettle and didn't get a replacement in 2 days so no hot water, the cold water was often empty.
- The wifi went down on my second day at 2pm, I left the following day at 11am the wifi was still down.

You can't have doors that slam so badly, it is really that bad, plus, my room was next to aa bathroom and it was quite noisy too.

The wifi situation I don't knowhow common is, I was probably unlucky but you can't afford nearly 24h (or more) without wifi.

You can't take days to replace a kettle, walk 15' and buy one from El Corte Ingles.

Not recommended from me, only a short stay if you are lucky with room.

Awesome location with lots of great places to eat and shop. Near the subway and train. Rooms are pretty bare with not very much space. The common area is very big to compensate. Hot showers. Not very social hostel, no activities/tours of anything of the sort.

Nice location. Lobby too dark. Walls, tables and sofa, everything black, no decor. Comfortable bed, Two windows in bedroom, but only one functioning. Poor ventilation. Female bathroom with 6 showers, but only two working not very well. Hard to maintain the water flow and stable temperature. Sinks and showers equipped with metered push buttons that supply water for less than a minute and were under repair. Continental breakfast was marginal, only coffee from machine was good. Good wifi.

Great things about this place is the curtain privacy, towels and locks provided, and the convenience of the location. Staff were helpful. What was ok about the place was the bathroom. Hardly any room in the shower. Most were were broken. Bathroom stuffy. No air circulation. Only one type of soap for hands/body/shampoo. Doors to the room were loud. There's no common courtesy in the rooms. People talking at all hours of the night. My five nights there was exhausting.

Lo unico wue me pasó, es que nunca llegsron a limpiar la habitacion a pesar que ofrecen \"limpieza diaria\" y no dejan agua para tomar.

Me encantó el staff. Súper amigables y le buscaban la vuelta a todo. Las habitaciones limpias al igual que el baño. No hacía nada de ruido aún estando Justo en la Gran Vía. La cercanía a las estaciones de Metro y Bus estaban a menos de 2 minutos caminando. Volvería a hospedarme en una futura ocasión. Todo el personal del lobby súper mega amables.

Shower/ sink is annoying; you have to keep pressing the dispenser to get water. “Kitchen” doesn’t have sink or water.
Very noisy all night because you are on a main avenue with people and cars all night.

Got a private room and it was sufficient. No bells or whistles and all the walls looked like they could be wiped down (scuff marks), one of the sinks leaked onto the floor so I just didn’t use it. Dropped some change under the bed and found a lot of dust on retrieval. Thought the rooms could use a good overall clean. One big plus was barely any street noise due to the good windows.

A great place to stay on a budget

I needed a cheap place to stay for 1 night after missing my flight back to the US. This hostel was perfect! The bed was very comfortable and there were plenty of outlets to charge my stuff. Staff at the front desk were very friendly. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for budget-friendly accommodations.

The staff...Naomi was Amazing and pretty. She was very helpful at showing how to get to locations around the city. The location is right in the heart of the city. Great location! The beds are comfy. You have your own bunk with storage underneath for 3 Euro deposit that you get back when you return the key and lock. Have your own light and plugs in your bunk, plus a curtain to block the light out so you can sleep easier. I recommend also bring earplugs because people come in and out and are usually very quiet but if you're a light sleeper it's good to have them.

Ein sehr zentral gelegenes Hostel am anfang der Gran Vía. Rund ums Hostel gibt es viele Restaurants und Geschäfter. Trotz zentraler Lage war es ruhig im Zimmer. Ein perfektes Hostel um die Stadt zu entdecken.

Die Gemeinschaftsbäder dürften mal wieder überarbeitet werden aber es sind eher kleinere Mängel.

Il s’agissait de ma 3ᵉ ou 4ᵉ visite dans cet hostel, et ce séjour a été de loin le pire. À mon arrivée, le personnel était occupé et ne m’a presque pas salué. J’avais réservé une chambre plus chère pour être au calme, en précisant vouloir un lit du bas : j’ai eu un lit du haut et des colocataires très bruyants.

**1ʳᵉ nuit :** En rentrant vers minuit, mes compagnons m’ont interdit de fermer la porte : elle est restée ouverte toute la nuit, seule porte de l’étage à l’être, sans aucune sécurité. Lumière allumée en continu, et à 3h30 ils ont regardé une émission sur leur téléphone, volume à fond. Impossible de dormir. Le matin, la réception m’a simplement dit de venir les prévenir la nuit…

**2ᵉ nuit :** Toujours porte ouverte, musique à fond. À 3h, l’un d’eux est rentré et a discuté comme en pleine journée, debout au milieu de la chambre. J’ai dû intervenir pour demander le calme. Nouvelle nuit blanche.

**3ᵉ nuit :** Identique : porte ouverte, bruit, discussions en pleine nuit. Encore impossible de dormir.

Au final, j’ai payé pour trois nuits sans sommeil, avec en permanence un sentiment d’insécurité. J’étais déjà venu, mais après cette expérience, je ne reviendrai plus.

1-Acho que os recepcionistas deveriam ser mais cordiais, mostrar as instalações no checkin … alguns deles nem se quer levantam da cadeira pra mostrar nada … fiquei 3 dias e nem sabia onde ficava a área da cozinha, alguns deles fingiam nem saber o idioma…

2-O ar-condicionado não funcionou durante os 3 dias que fiquei, mandei mensagem pra eles e informaram que não tinha problema mas realmente não funcionava.

3- eu não sei se é algum tipo de evento que rola mas o BARULHO é surreal durante alguns dias… parecia que tinha uma cavalaria nos corredores ou alguém com minha tamanca de madeira andar de cima.

共用のお手洗いではトイレットペーパーが下に置かれていたり、紙柄詰まって流せない状況だったりと衛生面はよく無いと感じました。
また、シャワーにおいてはシャワー部分が壊れていたので扱いにくいことや、髪の毛が沢山詰まっていました。
しかし周辺にスーパーマーケットやレストランもあり立地はとてもいいと思います。また、洗濯機などは安くクレジット対応、アイロンがあったりとてといいとおもいます。

Los baños estuvieron bastante sucios todo el domingo, no hubo mantenimiento. Y solo un wc disponible. Despues de las 23 horas no se respeto el silencio, deberian haber carteles que lo indiquen. Por lo demas personal muy amable y la cama muy limpia. Servicio de guardamaleta 3 euros, un poco caro.

Estuve una sola noche, pero fue una experiencia genial, los chicos de recepcion todos super amables, predispuestos a ayudar en cualquier tipo de dudas que tengas, muchisimas gracias y me quede super admirada con que el chico que estaba en recepcion era poliglota, un genio ! En cuanto al lugar, muy limpio, te dan candado para el locker que ademas es super espacioso, y la cama comoda y con cortina para tener mayor intimidad a pesar de estar compartiendo cuarto !
