We enjoyed our stay at Slow Suites Bellas Artes.
The location—just steps from Gran Vía, the Prado Museum, theaters, and major attractions—is a big plus. The area is surrounded by great restaurants and points of interest.
We would definitely choose this place again for a future stay.

Extremely noisy if you get the room near the entrance (we did, despite asking to change …). Front entrance door bangs and people shouting while entering are all hours of the night . Don’t expect the hotel management to do anything about it in term to refunding you partially. They even suggested we should’ve called in the middle of the night once people had already passed through to fix the door and tell people to keep quiet . I would suggest it would’ve been much better to actually fix the door before and put signs up to keep quiet (completely absent) … Incredible! Otherwise , rooms are large and fairly modern

Good location, central to lots of eateries and attractions. There was some mold in the bathrooom and very scarce amenities- you’ll get enough coffee pods/sugar for one day. Beyond that, it’s up to you to provide your own. We asked for more paper towels and never received them. Had a reservation for 3 ppls and only had 2 sets of towels; had to request more. There’s a sensor light that faces the courtyard area of our apartment and the lights flicker on and off all night long, reflecting in the bedroom. It was very difficult to sleep; even with a sleeping mask. It was quiet and, despite being in a busy location with lots of construction, we all felt safe.

This property was amazing! My family and I had a marvelous time during our visit to Madrid.
Perfect location—walking distance to top sights yet quiet. The apartment was spacious, modern, and spotless, with a fully equipped kitchen (though I didn’t use it), comfy bed, and washer/dryer. The staff was friendly, and the reception at check-out was especially warm. Would definitely return!

We found this location very good for visiting the museum district. The royal palace was accessible by walking or a short 3 metro stops. The Atocha train station was accessible by walking, but takes about 18-20 minutes, which may or may not be practical depending on whether you have luggage you need to wheel. We used the large Carrefour accessible by the L2 metro line at Alsacia (8 stops). The kitchen and washing machine facilities were good; cooking/dining, dishwashing, and laundry supplies were provided. Coffee pods were provided (8 for our 7 nights). The living space for the 2 bedroom apartment was very good. We were very happy with our stay. My only suggestion is if you planned on lots of daytrips via bus / commuter train / highspeed train, it will take some effort to access those.

Overall nice apartment with comfortable beds and nice showers. However it lacks some basic kitchen items like a frying pan (we asked for one in the reception but never receive it). Also note that balcony also gets very little sun due to its position in (flat 4a).

Excellent location. Clean, comfortable, affordable. It has 2 bedrooms,
a small kitchen (enough for vacations in Madrid) and a little patio. The kitchen is very well equipped. There’s even a washing machine! Everything looks clean and new, and very well maintained. I would love to count on a reception but I understand the concept of this apartment does not fit a reception. The contactless process of check-in is practical and safe. I contacted the property because the remote control is missing (and the EuroCup is on!) and they replied by email right away. Even though I understand the why, I disagree with having to send them a picture of everyone’s passport in order to be checked-in. Other than that, I’m definitely coming back to this place next time I’m in Madrid.

Squeaking Doors, Dark, Poor Sleep

I had a rear ground floor apartment for 7 days. Do not stay in a ground floor apartment. It was dark and next to a toilet with loud squeaking and banging at all hours...garbage room door also banged and squeaked. There are only 2 frosted windows in bedroom and living that are inner courtyards. Sensor light on and off all night and bedroom curtains did not light block so you will need both earplugs and eyeshade to get any rest. The mattress was very hard and seemd to be covered entirely in plastic so the sheet kept slipping and sliding....it is a shame because it was spacious and had a great kitchen with every appliance. It was just too dark and noisy for me. Also lots of building activity nearby with transport access difficult, and most times an uphill walk to get to anything...good supermarket quite a few hundreds of metres away. The bathroom has some rust, mirror is getting damaged at bottom and water leaks all over the floor every shower. It is a good apartment in the wrong place that needs every door oiled. Better choices around in Madrid than staying here.Also i was a bit concerned i could not see a smoke detector in the property and that rear apartment would be awkward in case of a fire in my opinion.

The only window that opens in the apartment faces a smoking courtyard. The apartment smells of mix of mold and cleaning solution.
They do not have luggage storage on day of checkin or checkout.
The apartment faces a very noisy street at night.
The sofa bed is uncomfortable.
Would not recommend to anyone.

Not an enjoyable stay. We had a family emergency and hotels.com and the hotel refused to the waiver the cancellation fees (which was the while amount) and also refused to waive the additional person fee even though only two of us stayed. The service was hostile, the apartment was dark, airconditioning in the bedroom didnt work and the shower leaked out of the house leaving only a trickle. Floor was sticky and there were gaps in the floor boards which made it look like a DIY disaster. We would never stay here again.

I give the property 2 stars only because it has a great location and the overall size of the apartment was adequate. However, there were 2 major issues and thankfully we stayed just one night before flying out. First, there was an obvious odor of sewer gas emanating from the shower drain that was so bad we had to sleep with all windows open. The second problem is the massive liability present of not having an interior door handle to exit the property. The front door literally has 10 deadbolts plus the actual door lock, yet there’s no interior door handle to open the door when you need to leave! You have to unlock the door with a key from the inside to exit…What on earth would you do in the event of a real emergency such as fire???? Are you going to fumble around at 3am in the dark trying to find the keys to open the door?!?! Its basically a death trap should there ever be a real issue, and it’s truly baffling how the owners of this property can even remain insured for the risk this presents. Others may not find this to be a big deal, but I can assure you that it is…be forewarned. The owners of the property would be foolish not to address the matter, and so would Expedia.

I was not able to make the 12am check in time since my flight was delay so I showed up at 1 am with a baby expecting to have someone there waiting or a code for me or something and there was nothing. I had a little baby with me and I had to go back to the airpot to wait for my other flight since everything around us was booked and we were not able to book anything else. Nobody reached out to us to check in with us or anything else and I was checked in a week prier to my attendance.

HUGE apartment

They use an automated check-in system. You have to send them pictures of your passport. The problem is that the instructions are inside the building which requires a code to enter. You have to call them and they will buzz you in. Find the tablet computer and read the instructions. They will send you a code to get your keys. The number on the door did not work however the number that comes with your hotels.com reservation does work. That the only gltich. The place is exceptional. We walked everywhere. The suites are huge and the kitchen is fantastic. Would stay here again.

The one bedroom apartment was spacious and comfortable.
However, we were extremely frustrated with the check in process. Though we emailed our details beforehand, we found out when we arrived that the apartment did not receive them due perhaps to some system glitch. We had to make a few phone calls to send over our details before we receive the passcode to enter. After travelling for 15 hours and hauling our luggage over 2 blocks due to road closure, the last thing we want is to be stranded at the entrance.
Do ensure that you receive an acknowledgement after you have done the online check in.

What a perfect place to stay in Madrid! Especially if your stay is more than a couple of days. I was there for 6 nights recently. The deluxe 2 bedroom is a HUGE apartment, with more storage, drawers, and closets than you could ever use!. The apt. is recently remodeled, with a very sleek modern décor. The well outfitted kitchen is full size. The location, as mentioned in other reviews, is perfect. Its on a very quiet, narrow side street, but only a short block away from 2 of the busiest main streets in the city, with virtually everything in walking distance. The desk can direct you to a DIA grocery store less than 15 min. away, and there are endless restaurants, coffee shops and are just minutes away. The Metro is just a few minutes away. There are less than a dozen units in the building and its very quiet and safe. The huge metal door to the apt. is like a bank vault! The personnel at the front desk, which has limited hours (plan accordingly for your arrival) are the friendliest and most helpful that you'll ever encounter. Each apt. has a thick binder with operational instructions for all the apt. appliances and systems which is very helpful. Overall, a wonderful place to stay in a wonderful city! TIP: This is an apartment, not a hotel room. Don't expect lots of little bottles of toiletries._Bring your own, including soap.

Very nice space inside, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, dining, living room, balconies. Location was great...quiet, but close to everything. Check in was easy. Very friendly and helpful staff! The only criticisms we could give would be the elevator (door has to be closed very well for the elevator to work) and the shower partition which only covers half the shower so a lot of water spills out on the floor. I would totally stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

Apartment was huge (and very long hallway to get to bedrooms - felt like we were doing our 6,000 steps before we even left for the day!). Wifi was a little unpredictable but overall fine. Location was great as it was close to museums and short distance to everywhere! Washer/Dryer was a pain to operate as there weren't any proper instructions. And front desk is not open 24/7 if that's an issue for anyone but friendly staff when available. Overall a great place.

Spacious apartment in the heart of Madrid

Slow Suites Bella Artes is an excellent apartment situated within walking distance of most of the main sites in downtown Madrid. The apartment is within 10min walking distance of the Prado museum, Plaza de Cibeles, the beautiful parquet de Retiro and Palacio del Cristal. We were greeted by the receptionist upon arrival and he was very helpful giving us advice on touring Madrid during our short stay. The apartment was very spacious, clean, and offered all the needed amenities at a great price point. The two bedroom apartment easily sleeps 4 comfortably. The WiFi was fast and we didn't experience any issues with connectivity. My only complaint is with parking. Most of the parking near the apartment is for resisdents only. Parking garages are in the area, but be prepared to park 10-15min away for affordable (15€/day) 24hr garage parking. We found Parclick to be a great app to find and reserve affordable parking in the nearby area. Free parking is only available on the outskirts of central Madrid, and good luck finding spots. Overall, my family and I really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend to anyone of our friends.

Le logement est très bien situé dans un quartier calme à environ 10 min à pied de l’hypercentre de Madrid.
L’appartement est propre et spacieux, les lits sont confortables.
Nous avons été agréablement surpris.
Nous recommandons ce logement les yeux fermés
