The property was located near the main street, Gran Via, which is full of restaurants and shopping. The bed was comfortable.
However, the room was uncomfortably warm for our stay in May and we could not turn on the air conditioning. The hotel had deliberately switched off the air conditioning as it did not consider it warm enough to justify its usage. Also, the hotel's wifi was out for one of our three nights.

There was so much noise coming from other rooms and floors that I could not sleep. The bathroom was also a small space without any window. However the staff were very professional and helpful. The price I paid for this tiny room was not justified at all. It is not a place for me to come back. Sorry but for this price I can stay in a proper hotel.

I specifically set the filter for AC and this hostal is listed as having AC with no extra info. When I checked in, the AC was disabled because it’s winter time, so the heater is on and, according to a very polite member of the staff, “it wouldn’t make sense to them to have the heater on and have people turn on the AC.” According to him, the laws in Spain don’t require them to have functioning AC in the winter. He was very amicable and detailed in his explanations, but they did not have a fan to lend us and their only alternative to the very hot rooms was to open the window (to the very loud square across the street). The staff me ever basically blamed Orbitz for not specifying that the AC is off during winter.

On 4 th floor but with elevator that holds 4 and is fast. No breakfast, but lots of bakeries and cafes nearby. Hotel building is on a square, near shopping, food and the Metro (grand via is closest). Enjoyed my stay. Will definitely stay again. It is not luxe, but is a nice comfortable stay.

Stayed in Hostal Zamora for two nights in a 4 bed room with 1 bathroom. 4 beds were spaced apart and room was spacious. Bathroom was a bit less spacious but very clean and we had no problems with hot water. Overall the accommodation was great and the 24/7 staff were really nice and made us feel very safe!
