Everything was very basic but good decent size room for solo traveller. Shower toilet included in room. 45 mins bus trip from airport to city centre and 15 mins walk. This hotel is right in the centre of town it’s small clean accessible, walking distance of 30 mins in any direction takes you to all the major museums and sites. and incredible value for money. Would stay again

The room and private bathroom were both very clean and it was generally comfortable.

The staff were very friendly and helpful as well, and the location was perfect, right next to Gran Via.

My only complaint is that because the rooms are right next to the lobby, you can hear everything that’s happening (TV, people talking and working, etc.).

Also, every night that I stayed, I could constantly hear people showering, using the bathroom and even what I perceived to be people cleaning the bathroom, many times as late as 2:30-3:00am, so I did not get good sleep, even with earplugs and a sound machine.

Room was spotless and quiet. Bed comfortable and both reception and cleaning staff friendly.
Positioned in an excellent location, just 250 metres from Gran Via where there are beautiful buildings, and within walking distance of Prada Museum, Royal Palace, Park de Retiro and main shopping.

Convenient to everything. 2 blocks away is McDonald’s and plenty of restaurants and cafes. The street address itself is like the SoHo of Downtown Manhattan. I’ll definitely come back to this place next time around.

Sonsoles was the right place to stay. Located in Chueca and close to all the central area of Madrid. The staff is beyond polite and professional. Always there when I needed them. I’d definitely recommend this place to friends and family.
The only thing I’d suggest is: the shower at room 329 needs and requires a “grab bar”. I was close to slip inside the shower and had nothing to hold.

We traveled to Madrid after visiting the south if Spain. We were exhausred. Thebplacevoffered confirt for an affordavñe and céntrico place in Madrid, close to everything. Close to gran vía, Calle Hortaleza, shoes, restaurantes etc. It was the perfect place to stay. Metro and bus stop very close. .

Great Location!

The hostal is located perfectly but is a very small room. We only needed to sleep there so it was perfect for us. The management was very friendly and available. Air conditioning not great, luckily it wasn't too hot.

Small hostal but comformable beds. Got a room with 2 beds and bathroom. The ubication is excellent to walk all over downtown Madrid. The bed was comfortable. The only downside is that there were noises of water when bathrooms were used in other rooms.

The location is very good, near all the sightseeing areas. The elevator only go up to the reception floor, the host helping to carry the luggage to the room. Be careful with the price on Expedia, it charged extra after confirm the booking.

We had a really nice stay in this hotel. The beds are very comfortable, the shower has a lot of pressure and the water is warm. Check-in and out was pretty easy. The location was perfect for us and is in the centre of Madrid, only 2 mins walk from Gran Via, which is one of the main streets.
The only \"negative\" thing is that you can hear people talking in the room next to yours but it didn't cause much of an issue for us!

I booked last min therefore i stayed here. Honest was very happy and very much satisfied. Hotel is one block from Gran Via, the street and the surrounding is where i wanna be, in the heart of every. Staff! Ibis the housekeeper is very kind, i was sick, she heard me coughing she massaged my back and adviced me to take a spoon of olive oil. I felt home

It locates at the heart of the city, incredibly convenient. Staffs are friendly. The room I was staying was quite spacious and clean, basic amenities were available, kettle was provided. Bed was comfortable, I slept well there dispute the soundproofing wasn't satisfactory enough. There was a window but couldn't be opened and no street view, the dark blue curtain dimmed the room a bit. But overall I was pleased with the stay. I particularly liked the friendiness of the staffs, they have a cute puppy too!

It's a decent hotel with basic facilities. While it seems a bit overpriced at £100 per night, I guess location is the main driver. Clean and tidy but a little old and dated furniture makes it some what uncomfortable.

We arrived late in the evening and had some trouble finding the place. There are many hostels in the surrounding area. Check in instructions were not clear. Neighboring travelers let us into the hostel literally next door. Be aware which one is yours! :) once we got into the right place, the staff was great and the room was very comfortable. Location is fantastic for exploring the city. Definitely would stay here again!

Your hotel is an important of your stay, so when I arrived after 23:00 and the staff welcomed me with a smile and greeted me I knew I was welcome. This is a great place situated in a very central location for accessing everything you need in Madrid.
Sometime I do not have time to research what is around for drinking, eating and shopping, so being able to stroll around and find what I need is ideal.
Travelling to Central Madrid, need a small run hostel/hotel at a great price, give this consideration

Well-maintained but old — feels like we stepped into another decade.
The room was small but if you’re only looking for a comfortable place to sleep, with private bathroom and quiet, you are in luck. It’s quite reasonably priced for what you get. It’s not the Hilton but you aren’t paying Hilton prices.
Easily walk to Plaza Major, Prado, Palace, shopping areas, innumerable restaurants & bars, it’s very convenient.
Your taxi can’t quite make it there due to the pedestrian zone, but it’s a few hundred meters only, flat and easy to find.

I like this hostal very much. Host are very friendly, very helpful and kind for helping me carrying my heavy luggage to their 3rd floor room as they only have main entrance on 2nd floor. Cleaning ladies are nice too. I stayed in two different rooms during my stays, some are with old wall lights not brightness enough. But I have no complain as just have it on my last night there. Hostal location is absolutely good, with all famous shops at downstairs, restaurants and cafe are all around. Very convenient. I definitely will back again and highly recommend to other traveler or even solo female traveler like me, I feel very safe be there.

On the 3rd floor (2nd by European count) of an apartment building on a splendid shopping promenade in the heart of Madrid. The lobby feels like grandma's house, probably bc of the older couple running the place. They were very welcoming but speak very little English.

Twin room was very, very small and the only window opened to a 10 by 10 shaft between the buildings. The room was very quiet from street noise but the walls are very thin and the man in the next room spoke loudly on the phone for hours. Hotel personnel did nothing about it and so I had to go over and tell him to be quiet.

I had a nice full week stay in this hostel. everything was great and it was a great value for money for what I have paid. room was small but clean, bed was comfortable and it was nice to have a safe in my room. location is unbeatable and was very centeral to explore the city.

City break in Madrid. This hotel was in a great location, close to loads of cafes, restaurants etc. In a pedestrianised street. Our room was at the back so very quiet. The staff spoke very little if no English but we muddled through. Very clean. There was a kettle which is unusual however no cups haha.

Taxi can't get you to the door so be prepared to walk 40 m, had to ring bell three times so be persistent, limited number of plugs so bring an extension cord, no air conditioning in early October, one flight of stairs to carry luggage beyond the reception area, good information about Madrid is available. Despite our little problems, we would stay here again.

The single room was quite small and could have been just a bit larger to be comfortable; the bathroom was full size and modern The staff was friendly, but my Spanish was not quite good enough to understand all that they were saying. I got most of it. The location was superb; about 200 meters from Gran Via metro stop and about 600 meters from the Puerta del Sol heart of downtown Madrid.
