We enjoyed our stay on a short notice. We cruised up the coast from Eugene and thought it would be a convenient place to spend the night before cutting over to Corvallis and back home the next day. I would stay there again for sure!

There was mold in the bathroom, there was a wire or cable going around the The toilet there was no lock on the bathroom window or no screen. The lock on the bathroom door was a chain lock like you would put on your front door. Front door didn’t have one. The toilet seat was disgusting. The room smelled of mold there was a guy two doors down that was smoking something in his car and the car caught on fire at 2 o’clock in the morning. They were all standing outside, laughing about it. It was horrible, but I had no other place to go.

This is definitely a budget motel. The room was clean, but older and very basic. The bed was comfortable, and everything was functional. I do wish the room had air conditioning or at least a fan, but overall, the property felt safe and clean, and the staff was very responsive and helpful. It’s a simple place, but we only needed somewhere to sleep, and it worked well for that.

Always surprised to find hotels that don’t have large bottles of shampoo and soap affixed to the shower. The small shampoo packets are annoying especially if you try to open them in the shower. If you need a basic, clean place that isn’t expensive, this place I’d just fine. I would start again if the rates are similar.

Absolutely horrible. I dont know how it has 7/10 ratings. It was dirty, disgusting and unsafe. When I say dirty I mean hazmat dirty. The pictures I took don't even do the dirtiness justice. When listed the shapes to check the bag for bed buns. Luckily, you didn't find any. However, I do find stains and dirt and grime All over the bed and the edge of the bed.

I got the bottom of the barrel five room you’d expect in the dive-rat dive motel. Outside fine. This room number 103 was a dump and I saw that other rooms were being refurbished but they sold me this one.

After we checked in, I went to take a shower after a long drive and there was a giant hair ball in the drain, and the shower wouldnt drain, and there were a pair of women's underwear behind the toilet, and the sink in our room was leaking all over the floor, and the staff were helpful, by bringing me a broom but did not offer us a different room, nor did they offer to help clean it up, had to do it myself, definitely not happy for over 100 dollars a night. Will most definitely not be coming back to that hotel or booking through Expedia again if they do not refund me.

The downstairs room (which was the property across the street from the office) was fairly clean but smelled musty, and the outside stairs just outside my window were older and creaked anytime they were used. The remote for the TV was only partially functional, and there was no AC in the room.
Not bad if you're looking to sleep and shower, but don't expect much more than that.

The place was pretty good my only complaints were no AC so you have to sleep with the window open and traffic is LOUD! Second thing no blow dryer 😆 the only time I don’t bring mine and there wasn’t one. 100% impressed with no sand imbedded into the carpet so I didn’t have sand all over in the bed ❤️

The hardwood floors were really dirty, and it was obvious the floors had not been swept in between the last stay and ours. There were around 5 people who were outside of the room, in the parking lot, who were smoking and it was coming into our room.

Nothing was ideal. The person at the front desk said she didn't have a room for the reservation we made. Then gave us some stupid story about a broken pipe and then a sudden cancellation and proceeded to give us the dirtiest, unkept room I have EVER seen. The person at the desk was rude. We checked in about 4pm and there were a few others in the lobby doing the same. So when I went back down a short time later to get a couple pillows that she said she would bring by in a bit and then she asked for payment upfront which was unusual and unexpected I told her no problem, he'd be down after we got settled in to take care of it. My husband went down there about 6pm and the office was dark and the was locked. We went to dinner. The next day, we went down in the morning around 9-10 and it was still closed and didn't open till after 4:30. My husband went down to the office at that time while I went to the store and was met with hostility and anger from the clerk because she didn't get paid the evening before, although we tried but the office was closed. She yelled at him, calling us thieves and told him we had 20 minutes to leave the property. He told her about the condition of the room and told him to get out and the room was clean. We left and cut our vacation short because of this. The clerk treated us terribly. The room was horrible and our trip was ruined. I left 2 voicemails that same day and have yet to receive a call from anyone.

The room was disgusting! Floors have not been cleaned...EVER! I found old toothpicks/floss laying on the floor. There were hairs all over the pillow on the bed. The bathroom does not have a mirror. The toilet seat is installed crooked and sh#t stains on the underside of the toilet seat. The towels are small and thin...bring your own! The TV is small and the sound you get from it reminds of a small AM transistor radio. I will NEVER stay here again! You would be smart to not stay here as well!

Very unprofessional staff. A child was distracting her the whole time of my check-in. She could not find my reservation for quite some time, so I had to listen to her constantly chastise the child. The room placement was not where I was led to believe it would be. They have two locations, one is two stories, and the other is one story. I specifically asked and was told I could have a one-story room location. My reservation was for two queen beds which are not available at the one-story location apparently. The rooms bathroom was extremely run down. Lights burnt out, some with no covers, just exposed bulbs, floor molding coming apart from tub and wall. I was looking forward to soaking in the bathtub, but I could hear the people in the room next to us through the wall and there was some kind of knocking noise off and on from somewhere, maybe the pipes. Not a relaxing atmosphere to soak in the tub. Very disappointing. Granted the room price was low, but the bathroom was in really bad shape.

The rooms are generally pretty clean although there is usually a greasy kind of film from the Lysol or whatever they use to clean the surfaces on the desk, countertops, etc. But oj the flip side it means they are getting cleaned. Parking is always easy, very conveniently located for me (class right next door and a pawn shop down the road about a mile). Staff is always kind and helpful. Overall not a bad spot, I stay here everytime I'm in Newport which is pretty much every week since I've been working a job in the area. It's not a five star resort by any means but a decent place to stay if you aren't too picky.

Great as usual! I booked an extra night, and couldn't add it onto my ongoing stay and had to book a separate stay, but the manager noticed what was going on and I didn't have to pack up to check out and back in later that day, and kept me in the same room. Very good experience if you aren't looking for luxury, but rather just a nice comfortable room with your necessities.

Very nice little rooms for the price! I found my regular motel for when I'm in Newport! It's very conveniently located directly across the street from my class which helps. They have your typical full selection of cable TV channels, good Internet, I have no complaints about the cleanliness, and the staff is super friendly. Late check-ins are doable, you just have to call their front desk and they come right out. Overall very pleased, Will be back!

Pet friendly, near all sorts of shops, shopping and the beach. Excellent location. Very clean room, good accommodations, comfortable beds. Fridge and micro in rooms. Our micro went out and they immediately replaced it with a brand new one. There is baseboard heating but no need for it. Nice big window to let in the amazing ocean breeze. The building/rooms are old but everything works and is well kept. Would definitely stay again.

They have designated “pet” rooms and they arent as well maintained as the non pet rooms but thats understandable. Overall the place has a comfortable vibe. I do wish they had AC because with the amount of smokers and people doing drugs, leaving the window open isnt an option. Getting rid of the smokers and addicts would definately make this place better.

It was ok for a quick little road trip to introduce 2 doggos to the ocean. Beds were comfortable, didnt like plastic lined pillows . Wish we had more towels . Two large two wash cloths and a bath mat.towels had a big clump of black hair stuck to it.towel rack on wall was hanging off , tub has a chunk missing from inside.refrigerator kind of stunk and not so cold . Screen on window was bent and pops off. So no leaving window open while you sleeping .
Was hoping for ground floor especially with pets to take out early mornings to potty and hand rail to stair case was loose .
All in the gal at front desk was very friendly.
Oh never seen a maid for more clean towels.

We got upgraded to a nicer room since ours wasn't ready when we arrived. The receptionist was really sweet as well. We stayed for one night and it was nice. There were a few issues that were out of the staff's control like people smoking pot and being loud in the rooms but otherwise it was great. If they tighten up on the pot smoking in and around the rooms the stay would be more comfortable but the staff can't control everyone. Overall the stay was great on the part of the hotel!

Room was under renovation. Tv did not work for 3/4 days that we stayed. There was no air conditioning but a base board heater and the door barely shut completely and had to use the deadbolt to shut completely. The counter in the bathroom was not thoroughly bolted or braced to the wall and if someone were to lean on it, it would have completely collapsed. I had to wipe down the counters in the bathroom and the room for dirt and dust. The rooms face the busy highway and noise from the street is loud. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the area and events. I would stay again if their renovations were done.

We needed a safe comfortable and affordable place to stay as we had to return my child to job corps in nearby Yachats. This motel was the perfect fit for us. The hotel staff was friendly and patient as were ran very late for check in. It was quiet and safe area and we slept very well!

Property is dated but overall clean. Room had some issues with no toilet paper holder, missing deadbolt on bathroom door, and only one outlet usable so had to unplug the lamp to charge both phones. Gentleman was very friendly and attentive. Bed was fine but pillows were very thin. The room was fine for the night but wasn’t a room I would want to hang out in or stay for an extended time. Price was right and worked for what we needed this trip.

The managers Lisa and Brian are super friendly. They are locals and helped us find cool fun spots for the fourth and easy beach access locations. This is a pet friendly spot with no issues, no extra hassle. Lisa let us borrow some camping chairs since we forgot ours in Washington which was nice. For what we paid we are happy. We spent most of our stay out and about but the room included clean towels, sheets, soap etc. Wifi worked and we had no issues whatsoever. Not crazy fancy but clean, secure and friendly.

This fellow told me he would cancel our reservation and not charge my credit card. When I saw my bank statement, Summer Wind Budget Motel did, in fact, charge me for the whole reservation. Very inexpensive. Quiet-set back from highway and no other guests bothered us. No a/c but don’t need it at the coast this time of year (late June). Clean. Let us check out late for no extra fee. Lady at reception very friendly and polite. Close to everything you need. Only complaint was rough sheets and lady at desk fixed that right away. Bring your own bedding/pillows if you want more comfort. It was a great deal.

Pictures in the ad show the beach the ocean unfortunately I didn’t look at the actual property and the property is nowhere near the ocean. I think it’s misleading, but the rooms did not say oceanfront property Ocean view still put a picture of ocean on the front page was misleading. Their room was not very good shape. The threshold between the bathroom and the sleeping area was loose and my wife tripped over it. It’s coming apart at the same. The towels were not clean and there’s Uchino coffee.
