Since In have stayer here before, I'm comparing to what was and is now
1. Check in desk said I could't earn Wyndam points for my stay.
2. Pictures show bathroom vanity much larger, that is not the case it has been reduced in size
3. Shower head was replaced with a hand held which came unconnected and I got a \"shower\" outside the tub.
4. No more breakfasts treats - just coffee.
5. there was no clock in the room, with the phone across the room from the desk.
6. Coffee maker in the room was for a single cup, not even a 4 cupper.
7. The beds sat on metal platforms?? Rather noisy.
8. The refrigerator is only a refrigerator - no freezer.
I was disappointed in Wyndam taking this place on - it needs more care and a lot more customer amenties.
PS The towels were white and fluffy

It was a decent place to stay. Not fancy or super modern. I only had a couple small gripes and they are very minor. Our room had a ton of 110v outlets on one side of the bed only which made phone charging and plugging in my CPAP machine challenging. The other was only one of the lights in the main part of the room worked. Other than that it was clean and did the job for what we needed.

The check in process (if you want to call it that) was horrible. The hotel is barely staffed. My room was not ready when I was told it would be ready. The room itself was ok - it is a good view and a gas fireplace in nearly all the rooms but the blow dryer wasn't very good and there was no body wash replaced in the shower. Wyndham needs to pay to staff this place (only one maid for the entire hotel and she wasn't done with the rooms by 4 pm). The woman who checked me in was not there or really even answering the phone to let anyone in the lobby which had a sign saying it is open from 8 am to 10 pm. There are no vending machines for water or anything. It just was not a good experience. Won't be back.

Wow, where to start? My room was dirty- sticky debris on the floor and on the counter in the bathroom. I didn’t even want to walk in the room with my shoes and off it was so grimy. Sheets smelled clean but looked dirty (e.g. hair, stains). There was a strong smell of cigarette smoke and at one point I could see it wafting in the hallway despite the rooms being non-smoking. When I mentioned something to the manager on duty he told me “not to worry about it”. There are several people using the hotel as a medium term rental which creates a disruptive atmosphere of people talking loudly in the halls, slamming doors and knocking/entering other rooms at all hours of the night. People are in and out- playing music, cussing and yelling in the hallways. It was a very uncomfortable stay on multiple levels. The parking situation as inadequate. The stairs leading to the second floor were filthy too.

It was fabulous! The ocean view from my room was great. The fireplace in the room just made it so perfect! To sit in front of the fire when it was raining so I couldn't use the balcony, and listen to the sound of the sea, was wonderful. And the sound of the waves was very peaceful. The staff was wonderful. It was close to everything. Parking was fine. The room was clean and I was so grateful I chose this place.

The view was great and the room was clean.
The sound of the highway was loud during the day and evening, but listening to the waves at 3AM was nice.
The clerk appeared to struggle with English and was unable to understand simple questions, such as the amount of the hold that would be placed on my account - she nodded and carried on instead of answering a couple of questions.

When we drove up, I was a little concerned. The lobby isn't very big, and it's dated. The outside looks dated, too. But when we opened the door to our room, we were pleasantly surprised. It was clean, spacious, had a great view of the ocean, a good-sized bathroom, fridge, comfortable beds, and a balcony. The price was good too. Close to shops and right across the street from the ocean.

It was nice to have a balcony. You could see part of the ocean through the trees. I tried to extend my stay but they tried to raise the rate to high so I had to go to another hotel. You could hear the people above me walking around and they woke me up twice during the night. I had to fix the gas fire place. They do not have much for breakfast. For the price they should have some hot chocolate and a few more snacks or fuit. Was not a bad place but they tried to over charge for the king tide time.

There is to much to say on this bad vacation turned nightmare, but the rooms water had a sulfur smell, the shower and toilet was designed for someone that's 4\". It was awful just trying to bend over to wash my hair. The staff was rarely seen and don't even try to get toilet paper, no one is at the counter.

Depoe Bay and Newport is a very scary place nowadays, so don't travel alone and definitely don't go out at night.

We checked in after waiting a while for someone to come to the front desk. Room was on the bottom floor north side of building. “View” was mostly the road, buildings and tress with the ocean back there somewhere. Room smelled horrible. Damp. Dank. Musty. All the words. Definitely a pet room and my daughter is allergic. Room next door had a dog barking non stop. Asked for another room and they said they had none. My daughter couldn’t handle it so we had to leave and find a room elsewhere. I asked for refund as we were there less than 10 minutes. I got no apologies and no refund. Tried to work through hotels.com with the hotel and they refused. We messaged back and forth for a couple days and they refused to give me a contact for corporate Wyndham and offered no refund. Not even partial. We drove by the hotel again later that night and it appears they may have booked it out to someone else. No apologies, no offer of even a little refund. Horrible customer service. Dirty room, lacking view and unwilling to help in our predicament. Avoid!

Lots of parking but could use a couple more handicap parking spaces, they only have one. since the price has gone up after covid I feel they should have house keeping everyday, don't have to change bed totally but at least make it up, replenish linens and coffee supplies with enough coffee for more than one cup each, two people. Owners are very nice, motel is kept up nicely and will stay there again.

I had a mixed experience.

The room had a great ocean view, the fireplace was excellent, the room we stayed in had a Jacuzzi Hot Tub that was well taken care of and was very nice! In addition, the people running it are very nice. The room was clean and updated. The hotel is in walking distance of Depoe Bay and just a short walk to everything.

The cons? The bed was advertised as a queen bed, but was actually a Full. I enjoy cuddling my wife, but it felt a bit cramped. The bed itself was not soft, although I've been in worse.

The town is safe, but we were on the first floor. The sliding door to the balcony has no screen door and leaving it open all night is sketchy; people and wild animals can come right in. We had a cute family of Raccoons visit, which was incredible to watch. If we left the door open to listen to the ocean, they would have been in our room too.

There was no AC, and combining that with being unable to leave the sliding door open, the fireplace generated too much natural heat to be on for ambience.

The noise factor of neighbors next to us and above us, in addition to being next to the doorway leading up to the parking lot, did cause some grief. Fortunately, everyone quieted down at nights so we could sleep; until about 8am every morning when upstairs sounded like it was always being renovated.

They took away the Hot Tub and Continental Breakfast that used to be a part of the Hotel. Unfortunate.

The outside of the building is weathered, but the room was very clean and updated. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean.
The hotel is within walking distance of all attractions in the downtown area including great whale and seal sightings! Great option for the price!

Got to the property and checked in got on the elevator and noticed a smell of gear oil like smell we got im a room in it was hot and stank like hot something we opened the door to try to air it out when my dad open the refrigerator and pow the smell of a broken refrigerator poured out it was hot to the tuch and had dew on the insides not good so we go back to the front and ket the lady know whats going on shs grabbed a can of air freshener and went to are room the moment she opens the door Starts spraying it up like a drive by even in the refrigerator and says everythings is ok i dont smell anything and walked out we asked for a different room there sold out she says without even looking so we just decided to stay we made a mistake the beds where rock hard has a good veiw tho

Very nice place, beautiful view. But we had our do not enter sign on the door, took our dog for a walk, came back and our door was open. My wife confronted a maintenance man, he said he was in there to fix the curtains. There was no notice, and nothing wrong with the curtains. Very suspicious!

It has one of the better views of the ocean and whales. The rate is cheaper than most which helps. But unfortunately I cannot give a very high rating because everything is in disrepair and severely needs maintenance. This is my field of work so I recognize these issues easily. However, I also suggest you bring your own pillows.

My interactions with the staff and management were always postive. I had a two Queen room on the third floor, which was clean and the elavator was unexpectedly quick and efficient.

The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The room was nicely sized and the bathroom also nicely-sized. The only issue regarded the need to put a facing on the edge of spacious bathroom counter. I stayed here mainly because of its proximity--about a mile---to the Depot Bay boat launch.

The view of the Pacific and the wonderful sunset was lagniappe! And it was truly within walking distance of Depoe Bays places to dine and its little shops.

My recommendation is that they consider either adding a screen to its slidng balcony door, or adding air conditioning. My fishing partner was able to park his full-size Ford pickup and his Kingfisher 2425 Escape HT comfortably within reasonable and comfortable sight on

The staff was friendly. However, unfortunately, the room was not clean. I washed filthy dirty finger marks off of the doorhandles, and all around the door handles inside and out of bathroom door. I had to wash all counter and table tops. There was a terrible smell in there. It smelled as though they sprayed lysol all over the place and you could still smell dirty, musty odor. The electric fireplace was broken, the unit was UGLY and outdated! When we went to bed we thought there were bed bugs because we were itching so baldly. But it turned out we both had reaction to the detergent or perhaps lysol got on the sheets? So, my face swelled and I got rashes. We couldn't leave the patio door open for fresh air because there was people in a unit below us smoking pot and cigarettes non stop on their balcony (it's a non smoking establishment they DON'T enforce that though) and it came straight into our room making my allergies and asthma worse. The bed was rock hard. So I got 3 hours sleep. Woke up 6 am with a stiff neck, migraine, my face was swollen and I had a rash on my face.This place has a beautiful view of Depot Bay. Gorgeous! If they cleaned properly, update the rooms, get new beds from this decade and enforced non smoking policy this would be a great place! I checked out 7 am that morning. The staff was kind, very understanding and didn't make me pay for another night that I had reserved. But did not try to address the smokers below us. Shrugged it off.

The hotel is right across the street from whale & wave watching and down the street from shopping. Several nature spots are a close drive away. The bed was super comfy. Room was more modern than I expected. Everyone was friendly at the hotel, always ready with whatever we needed. Plus the elevator was priceless. We will absolutely be staying here again.

Great family owed accommodations! Grounds, and rooms were clean and felt very safe! Easy/ safe walk to all the shops and beauty public park in Depoe bay. Sunsets from the room were incredible! I recommend 2 nd or 3 rd floor rooms. There is road noise. Bring earplugs! Problem solved! Staff was friendly and accommodating. Elevator and luggage carrier worked great! 3 min drive to port for whale watching and fishing. Definitely stay again!

This was a nice room. Beds were comfy. Room had usual amenities. It had no AC but there was a ceiling fan and a free standing fan. Those worked well to cool the room off when the balcony slider was open but the traffic noise was pretty loud with that door open. All in all it was a great location.
