Extremely steep, unsafe parking lot.
Halls were dirty. Carpet squares peeling up causing tripping hazard.
Room looked ok but halls and room doors scuffed and scratched like they haven't been painted in years.
Overall appearance when walking in very shabby.
Some of the guests gave me an uneasy feeling.

Most staff was friendly and accommodating. Our room was right by the check in area. The second night we had neighbors that sounded like they were playing a football game. Door banging shut constantly, banging against the walls that shook our room. Sounds like furniture was being moved around. Kids yelling and running in and out. I mentioned it to the desk clerk and he said he could hear ir too some, but he did nothing about it. I would appreciate a refund of that night. I considered leaving in the night, but was too tired to drive and didn’t have the money for more expensive rooming in town. Please help me with this matter.

This motel’s biggest draw was its proximity to the beach! Just 6 short blocks to the coast to walk the miles of sand and see the huge surf! Staff was friendly and the tea/coffee at the check-in area was appreciated. Clean room but noisy with all the dogs barking and the doors that automatically slammed shut unless you closed them softly yourself. Bare bones but great value and beach access.

Right when we walked in, I could tell the vibe was off. We head in to check in and the guy literally looked like a tweaker. Who am I to judge a book by its cover though? Maybe he was having a bad day. We get the key and head up to the room, we walk in and right away noticed the smell. Straight bleach and a hint of litter. That's right. Litter. We kinda shrug it off like maybe they just cleaned the room, right? We set our things down and open the window and boom no screen. Keep in mind, we are on the top floor with a dog. Like okay period? We open the window slightly for the smell to go away. We head out to dinner and come back. We arrived and we wanted some ice for our drinks. We grab the bucket that is used for ice and its dirty. Disgusting. There was chunks in there as if someone spit their mucus after coughing. Gross. We settle down and get ready for bed. We then realized that the bed was a full when we had reserved a queen room. I was not going to go down to the lobby to complain because hello? We had already settled in. Even though I deeply wanted to. We wake up the next morning and head to check out. Boom more tweakers. Like I understand make that money but please dress accordingly, brush your hair and please spray perfume or change your clothes after smoking. I hand her the cards and I asked her if I get any money back due to not staying in a queen room like I had reserved, and she says in a rude tone \"they are all queens\". Someone's lying. 10/10 do NOT recommend.

The room was nice, the staff were always helpful. One was setting up,but 😴 sleeping. No shampoo or conditioner. The tub is slippery, no matt to lay down. The beds were clean. No hairdryer. However considering everything, it's an affordable place to stay. I will look forward to staying again.

Okay so it’s motel 6. I never stay here but it was literally next door to my pops place and I have to be there at 6 am to take him to an appointment. Room is what to expect for 50 bucks a night. No smart TV. No big deal I had my laptop.
Well about 11 pm we heard what we thought was someone clapping in the hall. I was like Hunh? Thats kinda weird. Then we heard “Oh F*** Yeah” so loud it sounded like it was coming from inside our room. Me and my partner looked at each other like no way this is happening. What proceeded to come from the room next door was way too obnoxious to write in here.
I mean it’s Motel 6 so temper your expectations accordingly. You might be like me and get the full motel 6 experience

Hated the parking lot on the side of a steep hill.
Our room was at the far end of the bldg but there was only one entrance, to much walking.
Needed an extra pillow, but they had none available. No shampoo in bathroom. No coffee machine in the room. Wifi was poor at far end of bldg where we were.

Heating and cooling was shut down, rooms had a small radiant heater only. You could tell the staff were doing the best they could, with the resources they were given. The vending machines were out of service, the one that did work was inadequatly stocked.
Mattress was very uncomfortable.

When we checked in, we had fruit flies coming out of the drain in our bathroom and the bathtub would not drain when we checked in. We had to unclog the tub ourselves and the amount of hair we pulled out, was kinda crazy. Maintenence came in to spray for the flies and they took the sink drain apart. When they put it back together, the put the washer on the wrong side of the nut and when we used the sink the next morning, it flooded out onto the floor. We also fixed that ourselves. Them spraying did nothing to stop the fruit flies. We did not have any food or anything in there for them, but they were in there the entire stay. I've stayed here before and never had issues, but having spent over $750 on this stay, it was incredibly frustrating.

Back door was left unlocked for smokers to go in and out.
Multiple cars parked in such a way that they took up four parking spaces.
People were sitting in the hallways, some talking loudly on their phones.
Elevator access requires you to use two separate elevators, the sensor for the door to stop trying to close does not work and will squish anything or anyone in its path unless forcibly pushed back.
One of the elevators the doors open before the elevator fully stops which is another huge safety issue.
Multiple rooms do not have working air conditioner and some rooms pump heat in even when turned off.
Staff is completely unhelpful and keep renting out rooms knowing that they are and not working order.
Hallways are dirty and smell like pee.

The room was generally pretty clean. I found a few stray hairs in the bathtub that weren't mine. That was fine. But the room was overpowered by Pine-Sol or whatever cleaner they were using. You couldn't walk down the first floor without smelling the odor of wet dog or putrid smell of an unclean dog.
The phone in the room didn't work and the staff kind of shrugged their shoulders at it. The air-conditioning/heater didn't work.
Any kind of parking upfront was a nightmare due to the slanted hill that the parking spaces were all on. They did have a back parking lot, but it was kind of inconvenient when you have to carry a bunch of luggage.
I will be staying at this hotel ever again.

Bad things: we had the noisiest room closest to the freeway off-ramp. Big trucks used their Jake brakes down it all night long.
The door had an air gap all around. It let in noise and truck exhaust.

GROSS! The fitted sheets were permanently stained so we slept on top, the AC and heater was not working, the shower curtain was holding on by a thread, the faucet wouldn't stop dripping, the whole entire first floor smelled like an animal shelter and there was dog hair everywhere. The elevator that goes from the very scary back parking lot up to the first floor dropped twice. The pictures online are a joke this place is a straight up a dump! Let's just say if you have no other choice for accommodations when in town save yourself and sleep in your car. Safer, cleaner, air and you're not going to get ripped off!

Unfortunately it is located n a very steep hill. So if you park on the front side, you have a steep vlimb bavk up to the front entrance. Didn't find out that they had an elevator that takes you to first floor until last day. Unfortunately we could not get the aur conditioning to work in our room. Te thermostat was locked in at 78°, which was way to hot for us. And lastly, one thing that seems to be trademark for Motel6's is the beds are hard. I don't sleep well on hard beds.

There was a dog barking the entire morning from about 6am on. It was like someone left there dog outside while they left for work and it would bark non stop. Not the hotles fault but definitely worth considering if you plan on staying here.

When you walk in the lobby reeks of urine we were put on the third floor when we got to our room it smelt strongly of fabuloso cleaning solution once it got aired out all you could smell was urine. Throughout the hallways it smelled terrible and every vending machine and ice machine was out of order

I really like this property and the fact that pets stay free. I don’t know if I’m just figuring this out or if it’s been going on for a while, but not having to pay a pet deposit that costs more than the nightly rate is a relief. The staff were very friendly and the room was great! I would love to have a small space for pets to use the bathroom, but I understand there’s only a limited amount of space. The parking was a little scary because it was at a sharp angle plus it was raining. But I’m sure I also felt that way because I’m from Texas where most parking lots are flat! So not really an issue, but thought I might share so people know what to expect. Thanks for an awesome stay!

Dirty room, sink and mirror had toothpaste splattered on it still, the floors and desk had multiple different hairs left on it, NO shower curtain, dirty shower walls, back door not secure opens right up, halls smell like animal pee. I had to buy Lysol spray and wipes to clean the floors, and surfaces just to feel clean.
No offering of a refund after paying almost 300 for a 80 dollar room.
The only think going for it nice hot pressured showers, and surprisingly quite for being booked on a holiday weekend.

Disgusting room! Did not even stay. Front desk wasn’t able to move us to a new room. Room smelt like wet dog and cigarette. Hair in the tub. Hair in the sink. AC broken. Front desk was nice, it was out of their hands. We will be requesting a refund for the room since they were not able to make keys to move us. $190 a night for a room to not even be clean with working AC is ridiculous.
