My family and I (2 adults, 2 kids) stayed here for one night for a quick getaway. We stayed on the bottom floor, ocean view room.

Pros:
Check-in staff were great and friendly
Lobby was clean and bright and modern
Room was clean - looks to have been remodeled recently
Beds were wonderful and comfortable.
View is incredible! You can’t get closer to the beach without actually being on the beach!
Fireplace in room was great.

Cons:
Walls are very thin - upstairs neighbors were very noisy, moving furniture, and since the floors are wood you hear everything.
Poor ventilation - refrigerator was sweating leaving water on the floor. Bathroom stayed damp all night and day despite running the fan constantly. Had to hang towels outside the bathroom to dry.
No rugs or mat inside - it’s the beach and it’s sandy. Even brushing our shoes/feet outside there was still sand everywhere. A rug inside the door would be very helpful. Or even a small broom in the room to sweep up sand.
Pool is in a different building. A cold walk there and back! There were no towels so had to walk wet to the front desk to get towels. No kids in hot tub area (which could be a pro for some but my kids were very disappointed) and the pool was not very warm!

We did enjoy our stay here mostly due to the view and easy beach access. I would consider staying here again if we got a top floor room as I think that would alleviate some of the issues we had with dampness and noise! Overall I would say 3.5-4 stars.

It's unfortunate when you're trying to get your kids to sleep and everyone on the beach is being incredibly loud.. I mean yelling and screaming until around midnight.
The pillow cases were a little scratchy and uncomfortable

The beds are sp terrible!!! Put of 4 guests, no one got any sleep! The drains did not work. When reported to the staff at 530 am... he stated that next time I shpuld ask for the fifth floor!! There will be no next time. Over 200 for 4 hour! It was miserable

The room was clean but did not include hair dryer but does have individual body wash, body lotion, shampoo and conditioner. Room has a fridge, microwave, Keurig and small sink to wash dishes but no bowls or utensils provided. Staff were friendly at check in and checkout. Loved the ocean view room and nice beach access.

Staff was great, ocean view was perfect. Hotel room was not very clean and lacked good maintenance. The screen door came off, staff said it was due to the wind but the tracks were very rusted. Floor looked like it had not been moped, chair had stains, outdoor chair had bird poop and the tables were stained. There is no closet or dresser. We went to the restaurant and the server did not speak English which is fine but we waited 10 mins to order drinks and left. Tried the restaurant again for breakfast and the food was not good. Beach access and views were amazing!

So, I found out that there's a charge of $4 a day for what they call \"energy saving\" bull. They did not tell me that up front when I walked in and got the room. No where was that told to me. I happen to look at my CC bill and found that out. Called the front desk and the \"asian\" lady by her tone/voice obviously did not want to help and said she couldn't even find my reservation. NO Other hotels that I've rented in the past in Lincoln city did that. Go figure, another way to make money off customers. I will never go back.

I had an amazing stay, I will definitely be back!! The room was even cuter in person, friendly helpful staff, wonderful bed and great energy!! I especially loved that even though I was on the first level, it was not directly on the beach it was built about 10-20 ft off the ground so people can't just walk past your room, and they have extra security for the slider. Thanks again!

The front desk lady was rude and unprofessional. I booked with Expedia and it does not display that no animals are allowed. Once I arrived I tried to check in and she denied me, and when I asked for an email or written note saying I was being denied she told me no and refused to give me any documents saying that I was being denied my hotel room I booked and paid for that was non refundable.

Room did not seem as clean as it could be, lots of dust, odd smells. Staff seemed overwhelmed while checking in, and I was the only one checking in at that time. Ocean view/balcony and beach access was the best part of the stay. Would stay here again but would appreciate a deeper clean.

Parking area was a little tricky on a slope, not many handicapped spots. I asked for a handicap room, which had a great shower but no grab bars at the toilet! My elderly mother had trouble getting up and down. The walls are very thin.

It’s not bad, it’s dated and looks like it’s being worked on. Staff is nice but there’s an older person that seems short on patience. It may just be her communication style. The hot tub was good and the pool was fun. There was a bloody finger print and blood around the shower. All in all good.

Our room was very nice. We had a 3rd floor king room with a balcony on the ocean. The sunset last night was worth the whole trip! The bed was very comfortable, not enough blankets for my husband but plenty for me. The lady at the front desk had another blanket brought to our room. We didn’t have time to use any of the amenities. I will say the shower heads or water pressure needs serious work. Maybe a hand held shower head!? We had a great night and would gladly pay the $160 again to go back.

This place is the perfect location with amazing views.
The room was really small (king bed) but fine for just one night. I think some upgrades and maintenance is in store. Only 2 towels and 2 coffees in the room, (sleeps 4) so if you need anymore then that you’ll have to go all the way to the front desk. The pool area was musty and needs some tlc. No towels in the pool, gotta go back to the front desk for those too. Thank goodness we realized before getting in the pool. There were only 4 chairs and on a busy night we didn’t have anywhere to put our things. There are a bunch of random plants in there that are kinda pointless to have, more seating would be better than all the plants. Definitely time for an overhaul.
Seemed like all vending machines were out of order and the prices of the snacks in the lobby were insane.
The front desk did say that everything was actually cheaper than posted but why not just change the posted price for customers to see?? Strange.

We liked this place so much we added an extra night. Great location with beach access, nice courtyard with fireplaces, great pool room, laundry facility, game room and pleasant staff. Would recommend! They have a restaurant in the same parking lot MIST but we didn’t try it, mattresses could use an update but not too bad

The place is by the ocean and I appreciate the walkway to the beach. The place is quiet. The bathroom is good and clean. We we're disappointed with the slow action of the staff though when I raised that there were no towels in the pool area the Sunday morning. I end up getting the towels in the room because my kids are cold. They should have replenished it in the previous evening to begin with. Thanks.

Could not check in until after 4:00pm and had some one kind on our door about 9:30pm wanting in. Called the front desk, took 3 calls for some one to answer and said maybe maintenance at the wrong door. Weird as we saw the two guys and asked what they wanted and they never answered. I asked the theee times but never opened the door. Kind of freaked my daughter and I out.

It is a big property with beach access, pool and hot tub, restaurant, game room in lobby, and dvd’s that you can borrow from the front desk. Staff was helpful and pleasant and room was clean. This property is perfect for families on a beach vacation. Our room and bathroom were both very roomy. Coffee, fridge, and microwave make it even more economical.

I have been a loyal customer to surftides for 8 years but sadly not anymore. Horrible service sense management and staff changed!! BED BUGS in room 430 with NO COMPENSATION. We killed one and caught one in a cup! They handled it terribly and told me just don’t bring the cup up to the office and there’s a motel 6 across the street then finally got me into another room that smelt weird and had used chapstick on the floor and crumbs that someone else had paid for. This all happened at around 1 in the morning with two toddlers age 4 and 5 so it wasn’t fun. Next morning we saw the cleaning lady pick up the cup and set it down on her cart and clean the room as usual!! Manager told us pest control would come out for inspection and then they could issue some sort of compensation. It’s going on day 8 now and still no call or compensation. Everytime I call them they just seem annoyed and say the pest control still hasn’t shown up. I still have my belongings in my trunk out of fear of bed bugs getting into my home. I understand mistakes happen but this was handled terribly and there are other reviews saying the same thing. I will say once we had the room change our stay was better. Great location and awesome beach access. They have a pool and the rooms are very close to the ocean so it feels like you are on the beach. But sadly our family tradition at surftides has now ended.

The hotel its self is dated but nice the staff is friendly. The pool are is nice. The hot tube is in a separate area then the pool the sauna was out of order and they also have adult only hours. They have a fun game room!!! The biggest problem is the noises. We had to call the office 2 times and my husband went to the office because the people above us were running, pushing chairs, jumping off the beds until 1:30am. We finally were able to sleep around 2 am then had to be out of the room by 11am that ment hardly any restful sleep.

The hotel and the rooms are two p notch. Don’t go to the bar or restaurant unless you have hours to waste. The next morning the restaurant opened an hour late and extremely short staffed. I ordered take out and an hour later, I’m still waiting on my 2 meals. I start looking around the restaurant and discover that people that came in after me had eaten and were leaving while I’m still waiting on my take out. I’ll never go back to the bar or Mist restaurant

When I searched for a hotel room for the night, I needed a pet friendly location and used that filter option. After paying for my room and driving to the hotel, while checking in I learned the hotel is not pet friendly, except for service animals, and the room was nonrefundable. My other complaint is that the hotel advertises a barbecue area, but there are no barbecues or anywhere to cook something, and fires are not allowed on the property. We had brought steaks to grill and were unable to do so.
To say I was irritated does not begin to explain it. I would advise anyone looking for pet friendly to call the location prior to booking, as the information may be inaccurate.
