Great place to stay when traveling the coast! However, I have two items that we wish to be fixed in our next stay : ) We loved the views and atmosphere!
1. The bed mattress is pretty outdated. My bed (room 110 window-side) is sinking at the left-upper side. Not very comfortable.
2. The fireplace pilot light flickers (room 110). It's quite disturbing at night while sleeping when all lights are off but this small light keeps flashing in front of you. Can we have an option of turning it all off or can you fix the flickering issue? Think the fire place might have a cold draft causing the pilot light to flicker..

Great location we enjoy anywhere on the Oregon coast. The room was clean with a beautiful view. Downside the building we were in like most on the property is aging simply in the coastal weather, And dated terribly. The rooms did not Have AC (top floor on hot July days) and the rooms did temp was 20 degrees higher than ground temperature outside. Even opening windows wasn’t enough to circulate. Over all value for price was very poor.

Beautiful views of the golf course. Rooms very roomy and up to date. Wonderful fireplace to take the morning chill off. The coffee maker a bit strange for us, called a "slow pour". The front desk people very friendly and helpful.
Dinner was good, think the wait staff was maybe new on the job, but perfectly acceptable. Overall, we will stay here again.

It’s a very beautiful property and spread out. Our room was very spacious with a nice balcony and water view and the bed was supper comfortable.

The room was clean and spacious. There wasn’t an extra blanket for the pull out, but the front desk brought one to us when I called for one.
The king bed was so very soft. Not comfortable for those of us who have back issues. Which it was more firm, and the internet wasn’t so great.
The restaurant was very nice, and the food was mediocre. Went down the hill for breakfast at the Pioneer Joe coffee place, and it was delicious!

The resort is in a great location and it may have been great 60 years ago.
It currently needs better maintenance. There are trees growing on the shingles of the roofs all around suggesting poor maintenance of the property. Amenities show also their age!

Bedding with worn out edges and blankets texture shows their age as well. Mattress needed to be updated.
The food at the Attic was below average, we had a clueless server who even made our dining experience worse.

We paid $470+taxes per night and consider it was overpriced for the quality of the place. Not going back for sure!

We have been visiting Salishan Lodge since the 90’s. Since SCP took over it is no longer special. Salishan refers to a prominent family of Indigenous languages historically spoken by Native American and First Nations tribes in the Pacific Northwest. This is completely missing in decor and feel. The outline on how to “brew” room coffee was like reading a spoofed spiritual guide and we laughed out loud. No soft drinks were located in Ice area where signs said. The guide button on TV said unavailable when pushed. The speaker button on phone was broken off. Plus the online pricing was a different price every day, some midweek days were over $600. Made zero sense and staff couldn’t tell why Monday was $237 but Tuesday was $634. That alone kept our stay to one night. Furniture looked mismatched flea market finds and often scratched. To owners: This location os magical but you are not letting the hotel reflect this.

This is supposed to be a golf and spa resort, so I booked a one-night stay because my son wanted to play golf there. Even though it was expensive for just one night — almost $450 before the resort fee — I decided to give it a try.

What disappointed me the most was that Hotels.com never mentioned that the golf and spa benefits/credits are excluded when booking through a third party. At check-in, the front desk staff member, Kirsten, informed us that none of those benefits were included because of how we booked the reservation.

As a result, we would have had to pay full price for golfing and spa services on top of the already high room rate. Either the resort should treat all guests the same regardless of where they book, or Hotels.com should clearly disclose that these benefits are excluded for third-party bookings.

The staff were okay, but not especially welcoming or helpful.

To make matters worse, when we entered our room, it smelled like someone had just used the restroom. We opened the doors and windows to air it out, but the smell still lingered. I’m not sure if it was a plumbing issue or something else, but it definitely made the room feel unpleasant.

Overall, the experience was disappointing, and I don’t think I’ll be coming back.

A great place to stay with two big dogs. Every room has its own entry, you don't hear other people or dogs next door and the rooms are very spacious. Beds are comfortable and the amenities are great. Hotel is on the golf course and many activities to do around the hotel. Just be aware there is no AC during the summer, but the draft cools everything down for sure. We will definitely be back.

It was our first time visiting here, we travelled as a family with kids (7 and 11) and our Dog. What a great place to stay! We came here without expectations and we found ourselves already planning our return. Plenty of things to do! Tennis / Pickle ball courts, board games room, Basketball court and a playground (Although this could use some love as they were rusty).
Plenty of places to walk your dog and doggy stations with bags in many different places. Rooms are a bit dated, more leaning towards rustic and could use some love, however, all the basics worked, fireplace was amazing and the small balcony was most welcome!. Staff was amazing and there are plenty of things to see around, we went to see starfishes and other critters during low tide and it was fantastic. Great place, fully recommend!!

Walked across to the shops for the best coffee and good pastries. The little market in the lodge had a good burger and lighter options too. I got a great chai there every day. The room was perfect for us, with a nice balcony I used for some sketching and reading, a gas fireplace for cool evenings, and comfy beds I didn’t want to leave.

There is a warning sign but no protection in front of the fireplace. My daughters touched the glass and burned her hand. We had to take her to the ER, not what we planned to do on our vacation.

Booked for a girls get-away. There were many many children there and it was advertised as a relaxing place but the screaming kids kinda changed that. The drain was clogged and after being told we would be receiving help that night, we were then told that it wouldn’t be cleaned till the following day which wasn’t awesome. There are advertised shops. There are indeed a couple. I got a smoothie at one and it took about twenty minutes. We ate a great meal at The Attic. Unfortunately my dish came 15 minutes after the rest of my groups food. The main entrance and lodge is very nice though.

The nature here is absolutely fantastic — the beach walks and bike rides are truly the highlight.

Just be prepared for a little “surprise” at checkout… about 20% extra on top of the fees and taxes on Orbitz, nicely labeled as a “nature preservation” fee. Gotta support the views, I guess 🙂

The property itself is a bit dated — especially the spa center. The pool, jacuzzi, and sauna have definitely seen better days, and the one-shower-per-locker-room setup with empty sample-size shampoo dispensers adds a certain… minimalist charm.

It’s also very pet-friendly — which is great, unless it’s your neighbor’s dog enthusiastically trying to scratch through the connecting door all night. A truly immersive experience.

It’s spring break in Oregon which you would think would mean more staff or the property being ready to handle that. First impression going to our room was a heaping garbage in front of our room , definitely not emptied an it was still the same after 3 days being there . The pool had no towels for us and we had to wait nearly an hour to get any. Then the sauna was broken, the bathroom in the pool area was not cleaned either . I booked this stay as a single mum and we took a walk which is actually a small
Hike to get to the beach only to find out that its access is closed due to erosion. I feel
That this should have been told to us upon checking in. Ultimately it made us really sad and it was not a great spring break.

The property in general has lodge vibes and is rustic.. for that, we really liked it. The Adirondack chairs, forests, fire pits, daily blown glass scavenger hunt were fun. The pool area and hot tub area on the main lodge site weren’t very appealing and we felt could use sprucing up. The customer facing folks were very warm and friendly. Main challenges we experienced were getting anyone on the property on the phone to give clear answers- we were hoping to book Spa treatments ahead of arriving but the reservations desk don’t talk to the spa or know the schedule(which is part of the property) and it involved many calls back and forth- there is no way to book or see appointments available online (this would be a huge improvement and I hope they will consider that in the near future). We did call someone at the spa once we checked in and were able to book a massage and get a “maybe” on a day pass.. the next day when we went in as we walked by, it seemed like it wasn’t any problem at all to accommodate the appointment and pass so we’re not clear on why it felt so hard to get this accomplished, especially as guests staying in the property for several days. The spa area itself was gorgeous and we enjoyed our time there. The food onsite that we tried- breakfast type things weren’t great- but the coffee served at the provisions was great- that coffee shop and a couple other little food places just across the road (by the spa) were very good. We could see visiting again in the future.

The staff was lovely, but everything else was very disappointing. We booked this room hoping for a romantic valentines weekend, but that is not what happened! Our room was very sad for the amount we paid, the water in the shower went from scolding hot to lukewarm at weird times, and couldn't even fill up the bath because the water flow was too slow. When we arrived at our room it was FREEZING cold, and the floor was still quite dirty. I took photos of everything that was not clean, ESPECIALLY at the price we paid you excpect a comfy clean room. On top of that, you do not get to use the pretty ocean view pool & hottub that you see in the photos, you have to pay over $100 for it and it was fully booked anyways. The zip lines seem cool but after the dissatisfaction of our room and everything else we didn’t want to spend $300 to do that. Overall a disappointing trip especially for our Valentine’s Day! Would not recommend to anyone

The room and staff were excellent but we were completely surprised at the end of our stay with a $35 per day "Guest Amenity Fee." We failed to notice that such a fee would be assessed when we booked the room thru Expedia and were not notified of such a fee when we checked in. We will be very careful when booking with Expedia in the future and warn others of our oversight,
We had stayed at Salishan twice before over the years and were not assessed such an additional fee at that time. It had been a pleasant stay up until the time we checked out. Because of this fee we shall not be staying a Salishan Coastal Lodge again.

We enjoyed our two morning breakfasts at the lodge and appreciated Andrea's cheerful help. Joe the bartender was also nice.

This stay was disappointing from the start. The staff was not warm or welcoming and came across as nonchalant throughout the property, including the front desk and dining areas.
At check-in, I learned that beach access was closed due to erosion, which was not disclosed on the website. I was also told the spa was closed on Christmas, again not mentioned online. When I asked about spa access, I was incorrectly told it was fully booked and that access was only allowed with a service—this later turned out to be false when the spa called me back to book.
I wanted to leave immediately but was told I wouldn’t receive a refund because I booked through Expedia, which was also incorrect. Expedia ultimately secured the refund.
I stayed one night to give the property a chance. The sauna was dingy, very small, unstable, and never got hot. The hot tub was barely warm. The website advertised complimentary yoga and meditation, but in reality only one yoga class at 9:30 a.m. was available—no meditation or other listed times.
My room was sold as a forest view, but actually overlooked a parking lot, cars, and a dumpster—at best a partial forest view.
The room itself was decent, but the property felt outdated and misrepresented. Staff responses were cold and dismissive, and accountability was minimal. I would not recommend this hotel.

Biggest disappointment was the $90 charge per person, per day, in addition to the $35 per day resort fee, to sit in the hot tub they have pictured on their website. Second biggest disappointment was that the only option for breakfast and lunch is a coffee shop. Third biggest disappointment was the dated and worn out furnishings in the room. Fourth was the lack of a view from our room. It was basically of the highway.

I really wanted to like this place, but until big changes are made, I won't be coming back.

Clean room, great service. Beds are not very comfortable. Mattresses are old. We had to change rooms after the first night. Staff was great about the change and very responsive.

The facilities were lovely as we're the grounds. The restaurant management needs to address the lack of workforce. You have one server handling the entire restaurant there's a definite problem with management. I also had to request hangers for my room which was unacceptable. On the good side the golf course was great however the merchandise was well over priced.
