I enjoyed my time at the Anchor Inn! It is a unique place full of character and fun. The building is old, .but very clean. The room was perfect. comfortable bed, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, great shower and nicely decorated. The grounds are very nice, well maintained with lots of fun things for families. Every staff person I encountered was friendly and helpful. It was a great home away from home.

The charm of this property is that it is older. We like the retro coastal decor of the cabin rooms and prefer the two bedroom units, which are affordable. If you are a light sleeper, there are ear plugs provided and we also appreciated the box fan at night. We ordered a pizza one evening from the restaurant and it was delivered to our room, which was a nice touch. The mini fridge, kitchen sink, dishes, utensils and cups, plus the amenities room with hot water and cocoa are all nice to have when staying here. The S’mores box is an added bonus.

I left a note for the cleaning staff. I feel they may need training on how to clean. The main complaint is there was blood on the pillow case on the bed which I didn't know till going to bed very late or I would have called. The staff were great the dig area also was. Did have a good time even though we were very disappointed with the cleanliness of our room

We really thought the hotel was great! Would not hesitate to come back. Told three people about the place. The smores were a nice touch. Anything we would critique would be very difficult to change and has to do with design and would affect the charm and vintage feel of the property. Really hope they add a breakfast. Oh and the pizza came with loads of cheese. Too much? Depends on who is eating it I guess.

I really enjoyed the convenience of their self serve check-in and out, but the keyless app access to the room was kind of a pain. The dog area & croquet course was really fun. I wish there would have been one more place to sit inside of the room. I would describe it as decent for the price and very very quirky. The wheelhouse was not open during our stay which was a major bummer. I didn’t think to check if they were open during the week. We were there over spring break on a day they were not open.

The room was fairly clean. There was trash under the pull out sofa. The bathroom is in-between the little living room and bedroom and isn't big enough even for a sink. The place is very old and the walls seem paper thin. You can hear your neighbors conversations. Also a new building is being built next door and the noise from there is loud and starts early.There was no staff there because we booked Tues-Thurs, which meant the lounge and restaurant were closed. That was disappointing and had I realized that, I wouldn't have booked. Also there is no physical key or card so you use an app on your phone to unlock the door. This sometimes took multiple tries leaving us standing there for a few minutes. I have the newest iPhone and work in software, I would say the app is glitchy at best.We ended up not staying the second night and did not bother to try to cancel because of the time. Not mad, just disappointed.

It’s a great place to stay. We stayed in a very cozy cabin with kids and they had a blast with s’mores and board games! Definitely plan to go back 😊. Only thing we missed was the food as we went Mon-Wed and the restaurant is only open Thu-Sun. But there are plenty of places to eat nearby so this is not a problem .

Loved this experience! Keyless entry was great didnt have to remember the card. We loved pi king a movie to watch from their selection, the Smores at the many fire pits was great and access to the beach was just a short walk. They also have mini gold and cornhole. We got wings and pizza from the shop downstairs and man was it great. We brought it back up to the room where they had plates and silverware. Just a great experience all around 10/10 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

First and foremost throughout the entire experience i didnt have to deal with one lobby or checkin it was all online and keyless that was my favorite part. Not dealing with any customer service reps. We stayed in Cabin 8 at Anchor Inn and had such a great experience overall! From the moment we walked in, it had the perfect cozy cabin vibe. The room was quaint and welcoming, with a mini sink, fridge, and microwave which made it super convenient. There was a king-sized bed plus a queen-sized bed tucked away in its own little secluded area, which was perfect for us.
The bathroom sink and toilet were spotless and looked brand new. We were pleasantly surprised to find a s’mores kit left on the counter along with instructions for the outdoor fire pit. We used it that evening and it was incredible! The whole atmosphere was amazing — other guests were outside enjoying their fire pits too, which made it feel fun and lively.
There’s also a small on-site kitchen, and we ordered a salad and pizza delivered right to our room, which was so convenient. It’s pet-friendly as well, which is always a huge plus.
The only downside was the cleanliness of the floors. While they appeared swept, there was quite a bit of dust under the beds and the bathroom floor felt sandy. Aside from that, we had an absolute blast.
Overall, it was an amazing stay and I would definitely recommend Anchor Inn to anyone looking for a fun and cozy place to stay!

It was nice to be able to have our dogs with us and they did have a dog walking area that is a little walk away from the rooms but it was ok. It’s not the fanciest place around but that’s what makes it cool. It’s got a rustic feel to it but in a good way. The staff was awesome! They do use an app for the door locks but will happily give you a key card if you ask.

The little bar/restaurant in the lobby makes pizzas… tried 2 different ones and was quite happy with both. They seem to have a decent drink selections as well. The guys running it were awesome and friendly and even offered to bring the pizzas to my room if I wanted.

They offer s’mores kits in every room and have fire pits in the courtyard to use along with sticks for the marshmallows. They have probably around 400+ dvds to choose from in the amenities room along with coffee, ice, cups, wine glasses, even appeared to be a free washer and dryer to use (I think it was free to use… not 100% sure though haha).

Coolest part for me was the TV asks when you’re checking out, you let it know the day, and then it tells you that all apps and passwords will be deleted at 11am on checkout day so you can use your own apps on the tv… NEVER seen that before even in fancy hotels! Thought that was really cool!

Bed was comfy, towels were nice and fluffy. There’s little stations in the hallways with extra towels and stuff if you need them. I got one of the Staterooms in the main building. They offer cabins as well in the courtyard. Cool little place on the coast. Can’t wait to come back here!

Worst checkin I have ever experienced They use OpenKey to unlock the room. They have difficulty with Iphones, and you need to be there and get on the resort wifi which I did not know. After 20 minutes of being unable to submit the code via text, I called the office in frustration. She did help me and she ended up giving me a regular roomcard to open the room!

This was the first time trying Anchor Inn. Fit in a one night beach trip during Christmas break when the whole family was together. It was a fun, quirky, dated place. The family cabin had enough room for us all. It had cobwebs and was dusty and desperately needed updating, but was a fun place to stay. Right by the road was noisy for sure, but I was able to fall asleep when traffic died down during the night. I liked the old school DVDs and fire pits. What really shone was the staff. We ordered pizza and played cards at the restaurant past closing time. The staff was amazing, kind, and helpful.

This place far exceeded my expectations. While I generally treat hotels as places to sleep during my travels, once in awhile, I come across a place that makes my trip more memorable. This was one of those places.

Room was clean and well appointed with all of the essentials and even a few fun extras. The bed was comfortable and no outside noises disturbed me. I really loved the attention to detail and dedication to the ship theme, both in the room and throughout the common areas.

The amenities room was a huge bonus as it allowed me to do some laundry (I was on a big road trip), refill my reusable water bottles, enjoy an extra blanket, and even put a bit of ice into my cooler before I left! I walked around the property and noted multiple fire pits (you can buy s’mores kits in the lobby), a games room (arcade and board), outdoor play area, pet relief zone, etc. I believe there is a restaurant as well, but it wasn’t open when I had arrived later in the evening.

Our first thought when arriving was, “Oh no, what did we get ourselves into!” The room, especially the bathroom, was small. The room, though aged, was very clean! The beds were very comfortable! The ambience of the whole complex is what will bring us back. The outdoor fireplaces in the courtyard, with complimentary fixings for s’mores in our room was a nice treat. The large sandbox, also in the courtyard, was a hit. We had a great time playing mallet golf out back! The staff, and amenities room were terrific!

This place was horrible. Our cabin was dirty. Dust and spider webs everywhere. The shower looked like it had black mold I didn’t even take a shower. And it was extremely small. The dining table was dirty and sticky. When we pulled out the sofa bed there were wrappers and old slippers underneath and the bed was full of crumbs. The room had a bad smell. We will never be staying there again

This place is so stinkin cute! I loved our stay here! It’s more of a self serve style place so if you’re use to being waited on hand and foot then this is not for you! I loved the easy access to our room and the smores kit for the fire pit in the courtyard! They have an amenities room with coffee, ice, towels, and blankets for the sitting around the fire pit! And a BIG selection of movies you can take back to your room to watch! They have a restaurant we didn’t eat at but it smelled amazing! The bed was very comfortable! We truly enjoyed our stay here and would 1000% come back and stay again!

Long review.....I really enjoyed everything the staff was super nice and helpful. The rooms were clean and had a little fridge and microwave and it had a sink as well it had plates and cups and utensils and had a coffee maker too. There are a few things i noticed and didn't like and it will not really affect my future stays and there were ways to work around them lol one the shower was a tight fit the hot water took a little time to come around but hey I was on vacation so didn't mind waiting 2 or 3 minutes for the water to get hot.. another thing in the bathroom is that it didn't have no plug in so i could use my hair dryer or flat iron which was a bummer because the lights in there were a little brighter than in the other rooms. There was a plug in on the light ornament but didn't work. I had to use a the only pkug in that was by the bed and i had to take down the mirror and take it to the room and use it there and it made it so uncomfortable to sit on the bed and try and do my hair and makeup. If your there during fall and winter make sure you take slippers because the floor is super cold especially in the bathroom and it doesn't have a heater in there either and it's cold when you come out of the shower. There are heaters in the bedrooms and it gets pretty warm when you leave them on...if you go during summer make sure to take a fan these rooms don't have AC but they so provide a small square fan. The place overall is great would stay again. Really enjoyed the location.

Look, I almost don’t want to write a review because then everyone will know about our “unknown” place, but judging by the parking lot the word is getting out. Originally they said the room was $170 including pet fees. When I got my credit card statement they added another $68. For this money we could've stayed at a nice place! The room was dark, very pitiful kitchen and bathroom. It was a hundred dollar room for over twice that amount.
