The cutest cozy space with the best view. Kitchen had a small stove/ oven to cook with. Bed and recliners were comfy. The property has a private stairwell down to the beach which is nice. Peggy helped us with check in/out and was a real gem.

Staff (Peggy) was very friendly and accommodating. Family and I used to come fairly often 25-30 years ago. Nice to see they have the same themed rooms. As always, being right on the ocean front, dealing with sand and TLC for the property is a constant job. I spent four nights there and really enjoyed myself. There was a time a number of years ago when they no longer allowed children. Not sure that is still the case, but would be worthwhile to check.

Clean room each decorated differently in beach town decor, right on the beach. I visited very early spring when it was cold and rainy but the room is warm and cozy with an electric fireplace and a door that gives out to your patio overlooking the beach and Pacific Ocean. Still enjoyed my hot coffee on the patio inspire of the weather. Nice staff, lots of restaurants close, and just simply a nice little coastal town. Already planning a trip back for the summer.

What a little hidden gem! Peggy the manager was super friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful! Clean, comfortable, and so nicely decorated. The room had a lovely cabin feel, with open beam ceilings and real wood finishes. Although it was billed as a partial ocean view, room #3 had a wonderful south, south west vista and a large deck for excellent wave watching as well.
The huge king bed in the bedroom was exceptionally comfortable and cozy.
I only have one minor critique and that is that better lighting is needed in the living room.
I will definitely stay here again and hopefully for longer.

Easy check-in and out. Clean and comfortable. The weather didn’t cooperate so we didn’t get down on the beach like we planned. The one thing that stood out for me was the fact that there were “2” comfortable chairs to sit and lounge in. In most rooms for 2 there is one chair and the other person is left to lounge on the bed or sit in a hard kitchen type chair.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. I reviewed my first two nights, which were amazing. My third night was in a different room. I have no complaints about the room itself, but I preferred my first room. The neighbors were loud in the second room. The balcony was nice, but the neighbors were both out, which was awkward to me. Otherwise, I loved my stay and can't wait to go back.

My only complaint would be that the room had a strong odor of cleaning supplies when I arrived. I had to air the room out for many hours. Other than that, I love this place and will return.

What a fantastic location! It is great being in such a quiet stretch of 101, with no other lights in sight. It makes for great sky gazing! The room was unique, the kitchenette was great to have when there aren't restaurants right outside. My absolute favourite thing was being directly on the beach with portholes to open and let the sound in without too much cold air, the beds had down pillows and a comforter that was cloud-like, and the hot water is boiling and never seems to end!

Best decision I could have made. When you pull up in the parking lot, it doesn't seem that impressive. When we went into the room, that's where the establishment shines.
The room was cozy and comfortable. It had everything you could possibly think of on hand. The view was so breathtaking. It was a bit chilly outside when we arrived, but that didn’t stop us from sitting out on the porch and watching the waves and the sunset. We just had the temp set indoors so we were nice and warm once we came in.

Best decision I could have made. When you pull up in the parking lot, it doesn't seem that impressive. When we went into the room, that's where the establishment shines.
The room was cozy and comfortable. It had everything you could possibly think of on hand. The view was so breathtaking. It was a bit chilly outside when we arrived, but that didn’t stop us from sitting out on the porch and watching the waves and the sunset. We just had the temp set indoors so we were nice and warm once we came in.

Beautiful less populated beach
This seems to be the last hotel/motel on the north end of Newport, where the space between Hwy 101 and the beach narrows. Moolack Shores Inn rests on a low cliff, with stairs direct to Moolack Beach. The beach is unique from others around it, with a fascinating variety of rocky formations and tide pools, and few people. These features, and views from rooms at the inn are the big wins. Couple of things to note: The gaslit modern fire pit shown online is really just a pit for a wood fire - just fine but you must supply wood so pick it up on your way. Also, if you’re bringing a dog, ask for the paperwork up front. Overall, the inn is quirky in a mostly fun way, and quite comfortable. Beach is pure magic.

When we arrived our key was not in the door and it was locked. Per instructions I called Peggy. She came right over and found someone went into our room. She offered the room next door but me knees are bad and the shower was cumbersome. She gave us an upgrade to full ocean view and I've never been happier with a mix up. Awful, don’t recommend pics are misleading
Was awful management was very rude and super intrusive. Left within ten min. Room was infested with mold. Sheets were urine stained and had bodily fluids all over them. The light switches and handles and floor boards were covered in dirt and grime. They wouldn’t refund my money. Blamed me for this somehow though I was not at the hotel for more then ten min. I broke out in hives and the manager claimed my child was being so loud we apparently had complaints. My child was outside by the car away from the building. Everyone around our room was very kind and their children smiled and said hello, nobody was unkind aside from the manager.

This was a great place right in the ocean. Friendly staff with easy check in and out. The room was a bit outdated and worn but very clean and comfortable. The only issue we had was that WiFi never worked. All in all it was a good stay and I would recommend.

This hotel has great location. But the staff at the hotel are hard to contact for any issues. I had issues with the electricity going off completely & I could not find the staff to help me. After asking a nice couple in the room to help me, the staff finally came to solve the issue. After that I thought I would watch TV but the TV would not work. They have a lot of cheap stuff filling up the room but they need to focus on the main issues with facilities working in the room for the guest.
