A very convenient location and is about 3 subway stations if you want to go to Tokyo station for taking the shinkashen. Exit 1 of Monzen-Nakacho subway station has a lot of stairs to go to the ground level. If you carry luggage, would suggest to take Exit 2 which has elevator to the ground level and is just across the street at the ground level of Exit 1. The room is considered spacious as per Tokyo standard and includes induction cooker, utensils, and washer/dryer in the room. Will stay again if I visit Tokyo again.

The staff was excellent and very helpful! They assisted with baggage pickup and transfer to Narita airport. The room was clean and comfortable. The food breakfast options are limited but laundry options are plenty on the first floor. Overall very nice stay!

Lots of restaurants nearby, walkable to several train stations. Shrine next door having a festival one of the nights we stayed so we were able to visit. The room itself was very clean, but the walls were heavily scuffed from years of guests. A fresh coat of paint would make it look much more updated and tidy. Overall great stay!

Our favourite accommodation style choice in Japan. Western breakfast very difficult to get anywhere, so having a self catering utility in the room was just perfect. Bowls, plates and cutlery, microwave and kettle. All u need. The included washer/dryer was great. Super quiet, could run it while sleeping in same room. Detergent included too.
Free drinks machine downstairs was handy, and drinks vending machine priced no higher. Great to be able to get cold beers after a long day of walking (and walking).
Location good for metro and the right line to get to most places reasonably, time wise. But taxi from Tokyo station a good option with luggage.

Don’t get scammed booking here. They will charge you an extra 3,000 yen per night when you check in because the Expedia booking doesn’t match their “occupancy rules”. I had to pay 15,000 yen extra when I checked in because my booking said (at the time of booking) that I had 2 people, but when I got to the hotel they said I actually had to pay extra per night to have a second person. This charge was not disclosed by Expedia, and it happened to 3 other couples during my few night stay (I watched the other couples try to check in and saw them get surprised with the extra fee in the lobby) and I am still fighting customer support about it. If I knew that extra charge at the time of booking I wouldn’t have reserved it (probably none of us would have). That’s over $100 USD in surprise charges at the time of check in. The facilities are old anyway as some other reviews mentioned.

I had a great stay here! It's just a quick walk to Metro/Toei lines that will take you to mostly anywhere in Tokyo. The staff were very kind and helpful. There's great food within steps of the hotel and if you're lucky enough to be around in cherry blossom season the streets are goreous. The rooms do show their age and the room felt a little humid on the rainy days, but overall it's a great stay for a good price.

The staff made check in and check out very seamless. The hotel is about a 5min walk to the closest train station and about a 10 min walk to the other train station. Very centralized and convenient for food, transportation and shopping. Right around the corner from the hotel was a family mart and on the main roads there were plenty of places to eat and buy groceries and appliances (if needed). All the staff were very warm and welcoming!

I didn't know this area very well before this trip, but it is actually a great location. Tons of local and less touristy restaurants and bars within walking distance. The hotel is also very close to a train station so you can get to other parts of Tokyo pretty easily.
As the hotel itself, it's pretty basic but gets the job done. Clean room and professional staff.

The staff were INCREDIBLE! So kind and accommodating during my and my brother's two week stay. Super close to the train line, which was a huge bonus when doing the typical touristy things around Tokyo. Local food options were great, as was the accessibility to convenience stores and pharmacies. Rooms and facilities were clean, with an easily accessible elevator and the like. Staff came by three times during my stay to do a full clean, and they did a fantastic job.

Ran into one issue where I lost my key, and replacing it was 2000 yen. You do get it back if you find the key later, otherwise you're stuck.

If I had ANY complaints, it would be with the included washer and dryer. It is not very intuitive at all, despite some of the English instructions. I wish there was more thorough information on this, even if it was in Japanese. I ran into some trouble at the start of my stay with the filter at the bottom of the unit being loose, and the obscure error code it screams at you didn't help much. However, research and some fiddling got it up and working. Out of all the complaints I could have, this is incredibly minor and not the hotel's fault. It just isn't very foreigner friendly, but it was worth noting if you have limited experience with foreign appliances!

(RE trains: If you need an elevator to get to and from the closest station, use exit 2! It's right across the street from exit 1, which is closest to the hotel.)

Overall, I would absolutely stay here again!

I wanted to suspend the limited house cleaning on one day so the garbage could be picked up, the floor vacuumed and get new bed sheets. I removed the blue magnet and do not disturb sign. But the room was not cleaned. Other than that, the stay was great.

This is my second time staying at this hotel. It is very close to the subway station and Monzennakacho downtown. There are numerous restaurants and shops around. My room has mini kitchen, plates and utensils, washing machines/ dryer in the room. Absolutely most convenient amenities for long term stays. Check out is 11:00 but can be extended with a small hourly fee, up to 1:00 pm. Highly recommended

This time the room was very small. And there were pigeons on the balcony the whole time making noise and pooping. The heater controls did not work properly. The tv remote control only worked when it was less than 1 meter from the tv. A bunch of little things that were different from the time I stayed there before. The Tokyu Stay brand is our default choice when we travel in Tokyo/ Kyoto. In fact, we make it a point to choose a different property for each stay and have tried out dozens of hotels under the brand.

While the rooms and facilities of Monzen-Nakacho are great (on-par with other sister properties), the staff are clearly not very attuned to the needs of international tourists and a lot less flexible in their approach.

It was a little frustrating for us at first, since we are used to a certain standard of service afforded us by other Tokyu Stay hotels. However, after the initial encounter, things did improve, and the staff did try their best to assist us.

Would I stay again? Yes, but there are other sister properties that I rate higher.

The hotel is located in the old down town area of Japan. It is not well known by tourists, yet local enjoys little stores and restaurants. 4 minutes from Tozai line Monzennaka cho exit.

Part of the Tokyu Stay chain. Relatively new hotel. 500m walk from the subway station to the hotel. Rooms are spacious as compared to most hotels in Tokyo. My friend and I were lucky enough to get a 3 bedroom room serviced apartment as I can only assume they had run out of two singles so there was a great excess in room which was nice. The beds themselves were great and soft. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the closest station as well as a temple just around the corner about 10 minute walk.

Great hotel in lovely residential area.

I loved my stay in this hotel, I wished I had been able to be here for the whole of my time in Tokyo. It is located in a quiet residential area, with a shrine, park, bar district, huge supermarket, subway, all within a 5 minute walk. The room was a larger size than others I had stayed in, it even had a small dining table and chair. Washer, drier in the room and free laundry wash available. The breakfast was yummy! Staff friendly, will definately stay here next time I am in Tokyo.

Three week Stay in Monzen-Nakacho

We spent 3 weeks here and we were quite happy. It's a convenient neighbourhood and the beds are comfortable. Having a washing machine in the room was a big bonus. Staff speak very little English but that is common in Japan. The room is only cleaned weekly for long stays. Breakfast was not bad but the same every day - get adventurous and have the soup, rice and salads instead of the runny scrambled eggs!

部屋は清潔です。電子レンジとポットがあり便利でした。（部屋によってはドラム式洗濯機もあるそうです）。

門前仲町駅から歩いて数分の便利な場所。駅近くには飲食店、コンビニもあって便利です。

今回は、数日に1回しかベッドメイクと部屋掃除をしないプランでした。が、新しいタオル、パジャマは外のドアノブで交換するタイプなので十分です。

加湿器機能つきの空気清浄機もありました。ただこの時期（冬場）は、もうちょっと加湿できたら..というところが希望点かな。あとテレビの位置をベッドの横の壁に付けてくれたら寝ながら見れるのに..というのも希望点です。

とはいえ、東西線で東京駅にも数駅でいけるし、大江戸線で浜松町経由で羽田空港にも行きやすいので、出張にはうってつけの場所でした。
