Very disappointing experience at check-out.

We called the concierge to request a late check-out and were told it was okay. At no point during the call was any fee mentioned. However, when we checked out, the front desk told us we had to pay 2,000 yen.

When we explained that the charge had never been mentioned, the staff member who answered the phone insisted that he had told us, which was simply not true.

After some discussion the fee was waived. Only after that did the staff show a small printed note in the check-in folder saying late check-out may incur a 2,000 yen charge — the first time this was pointed out to us.

The amount itself is small, but the lack of transparency and the way the staff handled the situation was very disappointing. We have stayed at Mitsui hotels many times when visiting Japan and recommended them to family and friends, but after this experience we will not be staying at this hotel again.

I had an amazing stay at the Mitsui Garden Hotel Toyosu! Very clean and spacious room, with a very kind staff. The neighborhood is quiet for those who prefer to stay in a calm neighborhood while visiting other areas in Tokyo. Hotel is located right next to Toyosu Station which is perfect to access other railways that will take you to other neighborhoods in Tokyo. Also located right next to the stop for the Airport Limousine Shuttle, which is great for those who don’t want to deal with the hassle of carrying around your luggage through the subway station. Highly recommend!

Most incredible hotel I’ve ever stayed at, easily one of the best if not the best if you plan on traveling to Tokyo. Concierge on the 36th floor, with bar, restaurant, bath, and viewing areas. Incredible architecture and modern designs all within the building as well as modern art and lighting every where you look. Includes a breakfast buffet every morning with endless options, a bar with an insane amounts of alcohol choices, vending machines with regular and alcoholic drinks on every guest floor, laundry machines on every floor ect. The outside was incredibly beautiful whether you’re on the 36th floor or the ground level, nature and modern wide stone walkways, restaurants, malls, in any direction you look all within walking distance. The best part and what leads me to believe it is the best hotel in Tokyo was the underground mini mall/ train station directly beneath the hotel. You could hop on an elevator on the 36th floor and take it directly down to the mall to get whatever you need or get wherever you need to go in Tokyo all without even having to walk outside.

I liked the big bath on the top floor ( in and the open roof) very modern style and relaxing.

The room size is decent but the view from the room is the key factor for this place.

Public transportation is great. This hotel is connected to the subway entrance and you can go to Ginza, Yurakucho by train only 3-4 stops away. Also the bus takes you to Yaesu( Tokyo station).

First time in Tokyo and my wife and I did not want to leave this hotel. The location for access to subway train is very easy and makes getting to other areas easy.The staff and the breakfast was the best especially the coffee. The view from our room was incredible. We have breakfast with a view of Mount Fuji every morning. Although the location is not in the thick of areas filled with nightlife it is a sanctuary to come back to after a day or night seeing the sites. Also it a bus ride straight from the airport right outside the hotel to the front lobby.

The location is perfect, right near the metro station. But it’s not really a 5-star hotel as they claim. I would give it 4 stars. One morning at 7 am, I called the reception to ask for a plate, and the receptionist told me to come down and get it myself. Then they brought us paper plates… I don’t think a 5-star hotel should be giving paper plates. There was no coffee machine either, just a coffee sachet with no milk or anything. The reception area is nice, but the room is average. We shipped our luggage from Kyoto to this hotel, and when we checked in, our luggage was already in our room. We appreciated it .

Mitsui Garden Hotel in Toyosu is a great place to stay while visiting Tokyo. It is located above the Toyosu station and provides easy and quick access to all over Tokyo.

The hotel entrance is connected to food, shopping, and trains. We had Ringo peach & apply custard cream pastries daily. The Mitsui Garden is on the 36th floor with amazing views of the water and city from lobby and our room. Gracious helpful staff when we asked to ship our luggage to our next hotel. Last, the outdoor onsen overlooking Tokyo was wonderful.

I like everything about this hotel, the food, the services, the cleaning of the facility is immaculate. The location is 1A! From ICN airport take the limo bus and it will drop you off just in front of the hotel, the bus and subway are just right there.

Very easy check in and left our bags with the hosts who are super friendly and helpful. When returning for check-in we were notified our bags were already placed in our room.

To say the least the quality and staff of the hotel made the stay super enjoyable along with the already amazing views.

Last note, highly recommend opting in getting the breakfast option. Super delicious and eliminates the hassle of having to think about where to go early in the day.

Hotel was nice, clean and the people that work there were friendly. However, if you don’t like heights or tight spaces this is not the hotel for you. The lobby is on the 36th floor. To access the hotel from ground level you must weave your way through dark narrow walk ways. It is more of a business hotel as it is located in a business district.

This hotel is a truly excellent option when visiting Kyoto. Occupying the top five floors of a 36-story building, it offers impressive, panoramic views that are a real highlight. Unlike many Tokyo accommodations, the rooms here are notably spacious, providing a comfortable retreat after a day of exploring.

While the views are a major draw, it's worth noting that not all rooms feature them. Each floor has 74 rooms, and 16 of these are inner rooms without an external view.

The hotel boasts an incredibly convenient location, situated directly above Toyoda Station, allowing for seamless access upon arrival. For dining, the Penthouse restaurant on the 36th floor (conveniently located near reception) offers a buffet breakfast for ¥3,300, lunch for ¥3,000, and à la carte dinner options.

Very nice Hotel. Great views from all rooms. The hotel is located on the 33-36 floor of a high rise building. You access the Lobby on the 36th floor and take a separate elevator after the lobby reception to the hotel floors. Staff are polite and attentive though English is not a strong point. Room is very clean with excellent views. Great water pressure and toiletry amenities are higher end. Bidet in bathroom. Rooms are small which is expected. There is still space to place a suitcase against the wall. Not much closet space. There are laundry facilities that are about $2 a load so you can travel light. The breakfast is in the lobby area (36th floor) and excellent. Great views from the dining area. The Toyosu station is accessible in the basement level therefore technically you can enter the station directly from the hotel.Takes 15-20 min to get to Ginza area from the time you leave the room. The shopping center is likewise directly accessible. A very nice grocery store across the street from the hotel. Lots of eateries locally, but Ginza was better and close by. We did use taxis frequently and they were reasonable and can be accessed at the taxi rank right outside or by the drop off area on the first floor if you Uber it. Overall, would highly recommend. Would definitely stay here again.

If I could give this hotel even more stars, I would. This has been the BEST stay at a hotel ever and everything was perfect. The view from reception and the your room will be fantastic, leaving you in awe all the time. The cleaners clean everything thoroughly even to the point where when you leave a glass in a specific place in the room, they will get it washed and then place it in that exact place where you had left it - this is going above and beyond expectations. The breakfast options are incredible and the staff all around are extremely friendly and accommodating. The only thing to be aware of is that the hotel rooms are very high up and due to pressure, your ears will pop in the elevator every time - a very minor thing for an overall perfect stay!

We had a lovely stay in this hotel after first landing in Tokyo following a 18 hour journey. It was a perfect location to recharge the batteries as it was a much quieter neighbourhood than the other parts of the city we moved onto. That being said location was still fantastic with direct lift access into Toyosu station that connected us across the city.

Fantastic property. Great location, great staff, fantastic views. As others have noted, there was a slight musty odor in our room (but not anywhere else). Not strong enough to be annoying, but you do notice it when entering the room and then quickly forget about it. Staff are super nice and kept everything clean and orderly. I stayed at this hotel for five nights and six days and the staff has been very wonderful for me. As usual, I was able to leave my luggage there as I was able to prep before I check into the hotel. They allow me to check in early at noon time for only ¥ 6000 which is around $40 and it was well worth it. They have a restaurant that serves buffet style breakfast for only ¥3300.

The hotel is right directly right above subway station and it has the airport limousine. I could take you to either airport nearby directly.
