Loved our stay here with Tokyu Stay Tsukiji. Location was fab, right in the mix of Tsukiji Market for early fresh market food and easy walk to Ginza and subway stations.

Room was spacious with Smart TV and added bonus of in room washer dryer and free tea and coffees in the lobby.

Would definitely stay with Tokyu Stay again!

Only endearing quality is that as you step out you’re right in the Tsukiji outer market. But really , how often do you want to be there? Close to trains though , good coffee / breakfast places , restaurants , shopping specifically in the Ginza area.

“ Free breakfast “ is a joke. You’re given 800 yen vouchers for each person per day of stay. Limited in house options . Good for a small toast , cup of coffee and a hard boiled egg at Hoshino coffee. Place is old , small rooms and there is a distinct smell in the hallway and room ( second hand smoke). Floor is non smoking but there is a small smoking area on the ist floor and I bet this is where the smell is coming from( smoke is seeping through the floors).

You also get either limited housekeeping ( Change towels and replace the garbage ) or just change towels .

Price is high for what you get.

Clean, convenient. 6mins from nearest subway station. Lawson around the corner. Tsukiji market is right at your front door. I stayed in room with kitchenette and washer/dryer - that was a bonus. My only comment… the smoking room right next to the only elevator was not my favorite.

The room was very good. The location is perfect. Step outside the Tsukiji fish market. 10 minute walk to Ginza 6 and shopping area. Lots of restaurants around area . Staff are very friendly. On our last night there, I called Go Taxi, but unfortunately the taxi driver couldn't find the hotel. The front desk staff went above and beyond his duty and went around the block looking for the taxi driver
He found him and took us to the taxi. I am forever grateful to him as we were trying to get a taxi to head back to airport to catch flight. This was one of my last impressions of how wonderful the Japanese hospitality is. I would definitely stay here again and tell my friends to stay here if they want to be near the market and Ginza area. Having the washer/dryer in room is bonus too

The staff super friendly. Great location. Loved that it had washer/dryer in room. Next to Fish market and about 10 minute walk to Ginza 6. I just walked everywhere. Lots of restaurants nearby. It was perfect location for us on our last leg of Japan vacation. Next time I come back I would just book the larger room, that was my fault. They have the Refa hairdryers in room. Wonderful. I bought one to take back to Canada.

I loved the location of this hotel- right \"in\" Tsukiji Outer Market. It was also easy walking distance to trains, Ginza, parks an waterways. The hotel was clean, well appointed (I stayed in one of the kitchenette rooms) and the staff was helpful and friendly.

I stayed a total of 2 weeks here and I am pleased with the service. I traveled using public transportation and walking and it was located near 2 metro lines within 5-10 minutes walking and bus stations.

Right outside the hotel is the tsukiji market and you are about 15 -20 minutes walking from the main shopping area in Ginza.

The only downside to the hotel was the bed but I noticed that many of the other beds in Japan were also very firm. I was able to sleep well. The hotel is also very quiet only 1 neighboring room was loud one night.

Having a washer/dryer in unit was why I chose this hotel so that I could pack less especially in the winter with heavier clothing. It worked great. All instructions were provided in English and the staff also spoke English. The room was also a decent size of 2 travelers with 3 suitcases and backpacks

Overall I enjoyed my stay here and would recommend it if you are looking for an affordable place.

Amenities provided are decent, the washer dryer unit in the room was particularly useful and a standout feature.
Location is good as well, as you can walk to Ginza.

However, the smoking lobby on Level 1 is terrible! The smell is trapped in the only hotel lobby there is, and I think it affects the central AC as I could smell it even on the level I was staying. It was unfortunate but I had to check out early as I couldn't get used to the smell.

The room is extremely small and the washroom has a sewage smell, which was unbearable after a few days. I also think providing cleaning service once every seven days is not enough, especially in such a tight space. Maintaining the cleanliness becomes difficult.

I really enjoyed my stay at Tokyu Stay Tsukiji. The location is super convenient – just a 5-minute walk to Hibiya Line Tsukiji Station, and only 7 stops to Ueno (for Skyliner to Narita Airport) with no transfers. Higashi-Ginza is walkable, and Ginza is just two stops away.

The room has a balcony facing Tsukiji Market, offering a nice glimpse of the market atmosphere. It’s very quiet, especially at night, and perfect for longer stays. The room has a washing machine with dryer (very quiet), induction stove, microwave, a larger fridge with freezer, and a Refa hair dryer – my hair was super smooth! I also loved being able to heat my milk and bread for breakfast each morning.

Check-out is a breeze with the machine, taking about 30 seconds. The room was clean, though the hotel has a slightly dated feel, so those looking for modern décor might be disappointed. The hotel has no restaurant, but there are many nearby, especially sushi places.

Minor drawbacks: I feel the room was just right for one person (I had an 18m² room) but might be tight for two. The elevator area on the first floor is near a smoking room, so sensitive guests might notice some smoke.

Overall, I loved the location and amenities, and I’d stay here again on my next Tokyo trip.

The staff was very courteous, professional, and helpful. The hotel, sadly, reeks of cigarette smoke far beyond the smoking room. The old smoke smell permeates the elevators and hallways. There was a cockroach in our bed and on the last night, I received an insect bite while sleeping. The hotel location is convenient for those wanting the Tsukiji Outer Market experience, as well as a Ginza experience. There should be a mandatory room cleaning after every three days rather than six or more. We first stayed at a Tokyu Stay in Kyoto a few years again. Granted, it was a new facility then, and we had an excellent overall experience. Tokyu Stay Tsukiji needs a facelift and cigarette smoke must be far better controlled. The washer/dryer combination machine is greatly appreciated, as is the refrigerator/freezer unit which almost three times the size of a typical hotel sized unit. If not for these amenities, I could not recommend this hotel for the price. Again, I commend the hotel staff for their superb service. どうもありがとうございました。

The selling point is the washer and dryer in your into and the fact that you are right outside Tsukiji market. Train station a short 5 minuet walk away. My only complaints: 1) the room I was in let in a lot of natural light (despite using the blinds) making it hard to sleep in; and 2) the room smelled of cigarettes.

The location is great with it being next to the fish market and close to shopping and public transportation. It’s only a couple of blocks to the bridge with stunning views of the city. Great room with a washer so you can get some laundry done. Take note, the room is on the smaller side, but 2 people do fit and keep in mind, we had a roller board and backpack for each of us. You are in the heart of Tsukiji and walking distance to everything Ginza. This location works well for shopping and sightseeing.

Room was not the cleanest with a visible blood stain on the duvet cover, small bugs in the bathroom, and obvious spots on the far side of the bed that was not clean.

Additionally the room where the elevators are located are within the same room that leads to the smoking room and the smell is bad for anyone who is sensitive to smoke.

The room was clean and the staff were very friendly. I got a room with a washer/dryer. The dryer was a little touchy but it did work. The bed was fairly comfortable and the room itself was quiet. I chose the hotel due to its location and I would probably stay there again. It is a smaller hotel though so it is unlikely you will be able to get late checkout.

they have only minimum cleaning service-just take away trash and change towels. nothing else.
the WORST thing -staff do not understand English - the shift as of Oct11-12th. they speak, but they do not understand what are you talking-i ordered taxi and was waiting in the lobby, noticed the taxi driver that was trying to explain to receptionist that he cant make the left turn and stopped just two steps away on the main street. Nobody came to me -i asked them whether it was my taxi-the lady told me that he will come to the entrance. i was waiting for 5 minutes -nothing happened . so i took my luggage and went to this taxi . never will book with this chain

Stop searching! This hotel is located in a lively area where you can get breakfast and/opr lunch from street stalls, in an area quiet at night. Anywhere is reachable in Tokyo. Plus, and I can't emphasize this enough, the rooms have a washer/dryer machine. Amazing!
This IS my hotel in Tokyo, period.

incredible service in an incredible place

while the stay itself was amazing, the true shinning moment was the service and staff. I had an unfortunate situation that led to me missing my first check in day, and the staff from hotels.com and the hotel itself were more than forgiving. I felt truly supported and empathized with through the service workers who tried their best to make sure i could relax. in the end i was given a refund for the first missed day and kept my booking. in a country where you dont speak the language, i have never felt more supported.

the actual stay went amazing too, the room was clean and in an amazing location, the staff were always friendly, and the safety was top notch. would recommend!!

The hotel accommodated request for a quieter room and is of good value. The bed and bedding is comfortable. Overall room was in good condition and clean. Beware of breakfast - hotel has no food but gives paper vouchers to 3 places. One place I couldn’t find because no English language signage was available. 2nd place offers raw seafood for breakfast. 3rd paces gives coffee and a piece of bread.
