I'm currently suffering from sciatica. The bed was quite cozy and didn't hurt my back. The spa tub came in clutch. There are a lot of food options. Lionel's is great if you have the coin. Dough Bros was a go-to for pizza. Catch 22 is your fish and chips spot. Grab some disc golf discs and enjoy one of the top 100 courses in the world at Spa Park. Just watch out for the big roll away on hole 12, and ask yourself Why Are Trees (YouTube Nate Sexton) on hole 17.

You'd be hard pressed finding another property with better value for money. The property itself is even better than the pictures, you're located right across the road from the beautiful lake with views of Mt Ruapehu, all amenities are easily accessible, the rooms are spacious, peaceful, clean and in excellent condition. We were lucky enough to have a room with a spa - perfect way to unwind and warm up.
Best of all is the service - the two owners are the nicest, most thoughtful people. Prior to checking in they called to see when I'd arrive so they could preheat the room before I got there; the home baked shortbread was also a lovely added bonus!

Great 1 night stay in Taupō. We loved the 3 bedroom apartment. Would definitely stay again in the future.

My partner thought maybe because we looked young they judged us and didnt want us in a room with a hot tub, I dont know.
It was such a strage interaction and made us so uncomfortable it may have made us hate everything else bout the place but...the hot tub was luke warm and it has the most awful discusting smell and they turned it off super early which isnt mentioned in the listing, for \"noise\" but it's another way to save money. There was noices coming from the tub system all night regardless. The place could have been really nice if they put some money into it. The room was clean enough and had good amenities. They obviously opted for the cheepest toilet paper and hotel disposables imaginable. The \"rule book\" was ridiculous and it stated there would be a charge to use the fold out couch provided which is so bizzarre to advertise amenities then charge ectra for them. The bed was very hard, some might like that but we did not sleep well. The view was blocked by cars anyway so even that wasn't a perk. We tried to leave early since we could'nt sleep anyway but there was no early check out instructions to leave the key so we just left it in the room. Would not stay there again, not value for money and only booked for the tub which was unusable.

From the moment we arrived, prompt desk checkin and then shown to our room, explained how it all works including wifi etc and any problems to contact them. Motel was awesome, large sitting area although did find couch a bit rigid, dishwasher great news, bathroom had fluffy towels always a plus at a motel. Amazing location. across the road to lake, plenty in swimming, icecream and coffee cart right there. Idelic, amazing and definitely recommend . Even waved goodbye by hosts. Love the personal touch

On arriving the room was adjacent to the communal pool. This pool was being repaired with an epoxy resin, the fumes from the repair products were wafting into our room, making it uninhabitable, (pool repair person was wearing full masks with breathing apparatus).
Staff were kind enough to relocate us to a different room, the only issue was it was a single room with a pull out sofa.
When I queried the difference in price between the 2 bedroom and 1 bedroom apartment, I was told there was no difference, even though the website said otherwise.

Decent room, but very shady management. Stayed a night and wanted to extend for additional night. Asked 4 separate times for the price of the additional night and they continued to avoid answering only to say it will be a “little bit more,” claiming they had to raise prices for some event in town on a Thursday, even though practically every hotel had vacancy. Waited til 2PM to tell me the price was $74 more than the night before, over 40% increase, while they are not even close to being sold out. Shameful business sense, very deceitful. Will never come back and recommend you avoid this place as well. Also found a much cheaper price online for the same exact location on the same night for the same room type.

Only got to stay 1 night but would have definitely booked more. We loved our stay. The rooms was nice and had everything we needed and more the spa in the room was a huge bonus! Loved it and really enjoyed the soak also the bed was very comfortable with extra blanket and pillow. Right on the lake front and beautiful views also had a lovely lady check us in and show us to our room. I also really enjoyed the biscuits in the room thank you so much for our stay. Highly recommend
